Willow branches! Please make it happen!
It could be designed to look like dreadlocks.
So i decided to start posting some sketches i’v made, i’v quick painted em even cause i can’t rlly digital paint, it’s just so the diffrent “materials” were easier to tell from one another
a Palm Tree Pony, and a Flowery Long Hair
Hope you like it :P more will come meanwhile, i rlly enjoyd drawing those
I’m surprised that no one thought of vines for hair? Maybe they looked too much like tentacles. Anyway, I also hope they add more options for Sylvari hair in the future. When people complain that all Sylvari look alike, I think the hair is to blame. Sylvari have so many options for customization, but those are all more subtle compared to their hair, which is their most prominent feature. And so the lack of hair options make it seem like there isn’t much variation among the Sylvari.
I would love to be able to have Caithe’s face – however, we would face the same issue of everyone looking alike then as well. I guarantee that the majority of people would switch in an instant, given the chance.
More hairstyles would be fine, even more good-looking faces (Though that’s up ot personal preference), but I wouldn’t want Caithe’s face made available, for obvious reasons. We can already have the same hair and armor and I think that characters like Caithe should keep at least some amount of uniqueness.
i dont think they need more hairstyles. as i made my sylvari, i had the problem which hairstyle i want to choose (i had 4 favorites).
what bugs me more is, that there are way to less goodlooking face-styles.
there are only one or 2 so-so faces and almost everybody has that kind of face.
its annoying, that there isnt the face-style of caithe and trahearne either.
id love to use it, because they are really goodlooking sylvari, but nooooo….

I really, really wish there were more hairstyle options for the Sylvari. I have been debating on which race I want to make my Elementalist, but every time I customize a Sylvari I find myself staring at the hairstyle screen.
Customization in this game is amazing, but I certainly have far more options with hair on a Norn or Human.

Why ppl keep asking for a new race when armors of old ones arent even fixed?
Me an a few guy were have a conversation about legendaries few days ago when this came up. How about unique finishers tied to Legendary weapons! For example if you finish someone while wielding Juggernaut maybe u do like a charged attack and it turns the corpse into a silver statue corpse (kinda like the armor effect you get while wielding it), or u burn the enemies when you kill em with the Incinerator. Also if ur duel wielding legendaries it should be 50% chance to activate either mainhand or offhand.
Sorrow’s Furnace
That would actually be a very nice touch, give people a bigger sense of pride in PvP for having 1.
You have to be kidding. Plenty of things in this game don’t scale down enough and while the game is mostly for soloers most of the solo content is utterly boring compared to the content that is available for parties and groups (dungeons, FotM, the harder world bosses, etc.). This is partly why smaller servers are suffering.
We do not need more party content. We do not need more soloable content. We need all content to scale depending on the number of players involved, a feature that GW2 was heavily advertised for but only partially implements. For example, some living story instances were single player (e.g Dragon Bash), while some living world events were dungeons that required parties (Aetherblades Retreat), and its examples like this of the lack of scaling that is irritating to people who want to play their own way. Especially since not all classes are created equal and each one solos or parties better than others.
This living world event was actually finally a step in the right direction. The instances support multiple people (scaling up to dungeon-sized parties), but it can all also be soloed if you have the time and are willing to make the effort.
I’m usually really sweet… but this an internet forum and you know how it has to be.

tyria isn’t dark enough at night. or, in caves. We should have a night time thats actually dark. it should be visibly different, becuase you know, thats how it is IRL. night just feels like a cloudy day.

But to stay on-topic: a soulbound to accound bound transmuter would be glorious.
Anet doesn’t hate money, and GW2 is a great game. So if there’s a way Anet can make more money while at the same time improving the game, why wouldn’t they?
And the players suggest themselves they’d be happy with it:

I’ll side with the OP on this one. They are just asking for a skirt and a few other harmless female garments (the hotpants might be a bit much though) for Asura. And no one needs to be afraid of the idea because of how childlike the Asura look. Female children wear skirts all the time. Skirts don’t automatically mean sexy.
Female Norn T3 Cultural is cool and all, but I think it would just a bit cooler if I could get additional dye slots on the armor. Specifically for Shoulders, Hands, and Boots. The armor has those chevron shapes on the armor, maybe add one or two of those chevron shapes to allow another dye slot so we could add a little highlight to the armor. For example, Female Norn Cultural T3 Shoulders has one dye slot. The whole thing can only be one color, but could it at least have two so the majority could be one color and then one fo the chevron designs be another color to give the shoulder piece a little highlight color besides being one solid color. Just a thought….spice it up a bit. Thanks for reading
Then it seems to me the best solution is to have an /inspect function or whatever and the player that is getting inspected gets a ping saying “hey face over here wants to see your stuff yay or nay?” Problem solved, no? And for people on your friends list you just get to see their profile even when they are offline. Which also brings me to why is there no chat in the character select screen? :P
People would probably spam this until they get permission or kick if you don’t accept. Right now you can ask others about their armor and they will share if they want to but I don’t think we need another way check other peoples stats
Titles in general should be changed and redesigned alot, not to mention being added alot to give people ncentives to max out alot of the achievements and gettign rewarded for maxing those achievements with a title, that shows what effort you’ve went through already in the game.
Currently most of all the titles come through PvP and WvW andboth ares are ridiculously designed with super high grind locks within the achievements to receive the titles and at the same time, alot of the titles sound as you say super lame and boring, absolutely not expressing the effort the player had to get them.
Example.
WvW
Ultimate this, Ultimate that, ultimate everywhere.
For SPvP you can just exchange Ultimate with Champion.

This is what I’d suggest to change:
Been here, done that > changed to “Wayfarer of Tyria”
Why? Because once we get Cantha ect. back, ANet has to split up that Title again for the Continents, so we would have 100% Map Completion for every Continent.
One who has completed then really 100% of the whole world, will be called “Seeker of Adventures”
Champion Slayer > renamed to “Devastator”
Champion Magus > renamed to “Sage of Elements”
Champion Paragon > renamed to “Keeper of Hope”
Champion Genius > renamed to “Creator of All Things”
Champion Shadow > renamed to “Hand of Death”
Champion Hunter > renamed to “Lord/Mistress of Beasts”
Champion Phantom > renamed to “Ruler of Souls”
Champion Illusionist > renamed to “Deceiver of Truth”
Champion Legionnaire > renamed to “Warlord of Eternal Battles”
Master Crafter > renamed to “Merchant”
Give the Title Grandmaster Crafter, once you’ve maxed all Crafting Jobs to 500
Golden > renamed to “Blessed with Fortune”
The Emperor > renamed to “Fashion King/Queen”
Combat Healer > renamed to “Life Saver”
Ultimate Dominator > renamed to “Lord/Mistress of the Mists”
Ultimate Chaperone > renamed to “Animal Lover”
Ultimate Aggressor > renamed to “Conqueror of Lands”
Ultimate Liberator > renamed to “Liberator of Stonemist Castle”
Ultimate Subjugator > renamed to “Tactical Genius”
Ultimate Vanquisher > renamed to “Heroic Legend”
Ultimate Stalwart > renamed to “Supply Manager"
Ultimate Sentinel > renamed to “Sentinel of Stonemist Castle”
Ultimate Protector > renamed to “The Strategist”
Ultimate Defender > renamed to “The Custodian"
Thats the way how I’d name the titles
I almost never see people with minis. There are a couple reasons for this I think.
First: You have to take it out every single time you change map/instance. That get’s really old, really quick.
Second: Deposit all sends it to the bank. Certain bags can do away with this problem, but it requires you to have those specific bags in the first place. I personally greatly prefer general use bags for all purposes.
There is a very easy solution to this that I think would greatly increase the popularity of mini’s and can’t imagine anyone not being in favor of: A mini-pet slot.
It would be in your “H” menu. You just pick a mini-pet that you want and ‘equip’ it. Then it will never be sent to your bank and it will automatically appear every time you enter a new map/zone.
Right now, the Radiant and Hellfire armor skins are designed primarily with heavy armor wearers in mind. Equipping the skins on a light or medium armor wearer is incompatible with those armor sets. If would be nice if light and medium armor versions of these skins were implemented.
I can’t see it happening sadly.
From the way they have been releasing these tools it has been 1 each month or two (rough guess off the top of my head) and it seems to fit into what ever holiday event or living story is happening at that time. I doubt we will have this tower/toxic living story for the next couple of months. Also my guess is one of the next two tools will be Christmas themed.
engineer kits on asura are scaled very well and actually look very nice.
but on the other races they are stupidly to big
Fractal lvl 80 – 126 AR
Suggestion:
Add a vendor for players to purchase Super Adventure Box items with our saved tokens.
Reasoning:
Previous events that have ended (Winters Day, Flame and Frost, Dragon Bash, Bazaar of the Four Winds, etc…) have their exclusive items available for purchase from the Black Lion Weapon Specialist. This includes items from claim tickets and scrap materials, such as fortune scraps.
The same concept should be applied to SAB items for purchase from claim tickets (king toad and storm wizard token) and scraps materials (bauble bubbles).
I think it was mentioned on here a long time ago, and thus buried so deep I couldn’t find it, but it would be good for a skill bar slot, or quick slot for at least 1 consumable so you don’t have to open your bags, search through them for that one consumable you know you have but just can’t find, all while in the middle of a fight. Having the ability to either hotkey it or put it in an extra slot would be immensely helpful. I know they wanted to keep the interface clean and simple, and honestly the last thing I want is the screen looking like the regurgitated mess of WoW and other similar games with 8 billion skill bars, but 1 or 2 slots off to the side or above our current skills bars wouldn’t be so bad and would make it so much more convenient and smooth when trying to use consumables.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
You can reskin it later on using a transmutation stone – you can also start a new characther and transmute starter equipment to another item and then put that in your bank and then retransmute it again so your characther has it.
Hello ANet. I have a simple suggestion here, an optional Charge on Delivery system, when sending mail to a player.
The mechanics are simple:
- When turned on, a player can specify a Delivery Charge, for the recipient to accept the Email.
- The recipient can preview the message, and any attached items, but cannot retrieve the items till the Delivery Charge is paid.
- Accepting the Delivery Charge requires the recipient to manually enter in the Gold/Silver/Copper value, to make it difficult for an accidental acceptance to occur.
- Once paid, the items can be taken by the recipient, and the sender is awarded the Delivery Charge, minus a 15% fee (same as black lion trading post)
- If unpaid, after 7 days, the mail and it’s contents, will be automatically returned to the sender.
My goal for such a suggestion should be fairly obvious. What does everyone think?
I’m still kinda a new to being level 80 in the game and haven’t gained many ascended items. I was going for my third ascended trinket just a little earlier, and bought the same ring that I already had equipped. It showed it like it was possible and would replace my exotic ring I had alongside the other ascended ring. Once I’d bought it I quickly realized that it was not possible to have 2 of the exact same ascended trinkets.
I find gw2 can be really punishing to newbies at times, for this I would like to suggest that maybe a notification pops up that you already have a certain ascended trinket equipped when previewing it. Even a red border around the identical trinket would probably notify someone that somethings up.
It’s relatively frustrating because laurels aren’t easy to get, and now all i can do is scrap it since it’s soulbound… I put in quite a bit of effort to get it, and getting absolutely nothing for it leaves you feeling deflated…

Y U NO read?
(…) if you could make an option in the options menu to disable this for rares (…)
I never wrote “remove it”, i wrote that it would be cool if everybody could choose to enable or disable that “feature”.
Exactly. People don’t pay attention. Bump.
Lots of replies here, so I’ll respond in a general sense rather than quote anyone specific.
Economy Collapse
First of all, a direct trading system exists in virtually ALL other MMO’s out there. To anyone saying it would “destroy teh economyz!” try to keep that fact in mind. GW2 is the exception for not having a direct trading system, not the other way around. It’s economy is a black sheep among MMO’s that has no direct trade, CoD, or other such means.
Scammers
People will always get scammed. With, without a direct trade system, it doesn’t matter. Scamming and Social Engineering goes back to the very beginning of recorded history and is one of the darker sides of human nature. It exists across all mediums, and as long as people are they way they are, will always exist regardless of what they use to carry it out.
Technical Exploits
Any system out there can be exploited somehow. I’ve seen people place buy orders on the current TP en-masse before they can all be fully processed, and then cancel them en-masse backlogging the server, claim the gold they haven’t yet been charged for to place the order, and then mailing it all off to an alt account before the server can catch up, creating hundreds or even thousands of gold out of ‘thin-air.’ For the record, ANet fixed this a long ago.
So everyone whos saying the TP is flawless, and does everything we need… Sorry to burst your bubble here, but: You’re wrong. Your cherished TP is just as vulnerable to exploits as anything else.
We do need a mail system like this, as long as it charges the same as Black Lion TP AND makes you manually enter in the amount to confirm, what’s the problem?
