The CMY color model doesn’t get enough love. I say we make the 3 teams Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta. It would be consistent, and probably easier for everyone to differentiate
Fun on someone else’s schedule is not fun
You guys are hilarious. I am surprised there isn’t an option to choose the colours but its hardly blinding, maybe you guys just need to turn your monitor’s brightness down.
I haven’t posted in forums for a while because nothing really has bother me or i haven’t needed anything but this has really bothered me. These colors are super irritating to look at, like it was chosen by kids, I’m pretty irritated by it. I know some players r going to like it, so to avoid all the qq would it be ok to have a setting to choose either old settings or this new super awesome visual aid for the colorly disabled?
I would like to see active commanders (the ones with their tags up) have a different chat color in WvW.
OMG you people are lazy. Firstly, just use the luck as you get it, and maybe just leave 1 as your placeholder for the next few that you get. Now if you want to talk about removing something really annoying, how about the purchase confirmation for some vendors where you can only buy 1 item at a time. “Are you sure you want to buy this?” Yes “Are you sure you want to buy this?” Yes “Are you sure you want to buy this?” Yes…OMG YES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD I NEED TO BUY 100 OF THESE!
t(>.<)tAt least with the luck it’s just a bunch of clicks without confirmation and as stated in another response you can take a bunch all at once to craft into higher amount lucks to reduce your clicking. Sorry if you have to take just a little time to travel to do that, but it’s the price for the convenience.
1) Not everyone is an artificer.
2) The open all feature suggested is intended to be a time saver.
3) It’s not just about essence of luck, it’s about all the bags/consumables. When I reach 1.5 million in karma, which is pretty regularly, I go and buy 500k worth of orrian jewlery boxes, open them all, drink all the karma, and spend back down to 1 million. Wash, rinse, repeat, until I only have 1 mil left. That’s a LOT of clicking and its time consuming.
Running champ train, Scarlett’s minions, WvW, Mad King’s labyrinth, and many other activities are all very fast paced. It is easy to accumulate large stacks of bags/consumables (like scrolls of knowledge) that need to be opened one at a time.
My question to you is, if this was implemented, would it harm your game play? My guess is no, you could still use what ever method you prefer. Would it enhance the game experience for others? Yes.
Options are good. People like options. Options make for happy players. Happy players play more, spend money, and recommend the game to others creating a sense of hype. Win win for players and ArenaNet.
I love the collectibles bank tab however there are a few little changes I feel would make the regular bank tab so much better. Today I found i had the need to re-organize my bank, all 7 tabs of it. Without the ability to drag and drop tabs above/below each other I was forced to close tabs I was not using and try and remember which closed tabs have what in them. I found myself wishing that I could not only drag/drop tabs above and below each other but also wondering why I cannot name them. I would love to see the ability to stick a name on the same line as the arrow that opens/closes each tab. I would also like to see the ability to deposit gold returned. I can no longer hide my money from myself so I am spending it all. Also I have a number of items in the bank that say “soulbound to another character” but I dont know which one. things like wxp boosters and usable items. I would love to see it say “Soulbound to [name]” These small changes would, in my opinion, make a very large impact on the usability of the bank and encourage players buy more tabs for organization.
-nameable tabs
-drag/drop tabs to change order
-ability to deposit gold again
-say which character an item is soulbound to
I have a section of the bank for each of my 8 characters. I’ve had to use an “identifying” object in the first spot of each section to know who it belongs to. (A wand for my Elementalist, a Mask for my Mesmer, a Loot Bag for my Thief, etc.) It would be SO much nicer to be able to name the sections!

This happens all the time, people feel entitled to a legendary/world completion without doing what’s required to get it.
Are you forced to get world completion? No.
Are you forced to get a legendary? No.
Are both of these required to exclusively PvE? Not at all.
Do you want them? Probably, else you wouldn’t be here complaining about it. If you want something then go do the things required to get it. If you don’t want to do those things then you forfeit the right to get it. It’s pretty simple. These things are supposed to be hard to get!
I don’t like WvW (read: ZvZ) a whole lot but I do like the idea of having a legendary, so I went out and got world exploration. I was lucky enough to receive way more than enough badges of honour to cut that step out completely due to achievement chests but I was about to start farming badges, too. I didn’t want to do those steps at all, in fact, I don’t even like the Ascalon areas and didn’t want to do those either, however, at no point was I actually forced to partake in any of these because it is my choice to embark on getting a legendary.

Thanks guys!! It really means a lot. I think It could be a simple fix and it would be less annoying filtering out what I can and can’t wear.
It isn’t just swearing that gets filtered, but anything that might be considered insulting or flamey. For instance, kitten, kitten and kitten are also being filtered out. That’s understandable, but then it also filters out kitten, which is a real grey area to me. Some kittens might be bothered with it, but hey, it’s in the dictionary, so why the kitten not?
The inability to see chat from guilds you are not representing is one of the biggest issues facing my guild today.
I think the ability to be in more than one guild is a fantastic feature, but a lot of its potential is lost due to this one omission.
Not being able to communicate with all of a guilds members who are online forces guilds to attempt representation percentage policies which are very difficult to implement due to the limited guild tools.
If we could simply read the chat for all guilds we are members of a lot of those policies would become unnecessary.
I have some hope that when the authenticated API is released (which is supposed to include access to guild chat) that we’ll be able to see chat for guilds we are not representing through a 3rd party program, but ideally we need this in-game. Not everybody has a 2nd monitor or wants to use an overlay.
If necessary it could be read-only, requiring a rep switch to actually talk. Chat text itself might be a slightly darker shade of gold and preceded with the guilds tag. EDIT: Ooh, just thought, right click on the tag for a context menu that allows you to switch rep.
Were I A-net boss for a day, I think this would be my #1 quality of life issue.

I second this… but I’d like to take a moment to expand on the idea.
As I’m sure most people know you can get to LA for free from anywhere in PvE by going into WvW (or PvP) and exiting via the Lion’s Arch Asura gate.
Lion’s Arch provides gates to the five “home” towns around Tyria. You can then travel to previously discovered waypoints in those towns for free. (via Gate Hub Plaza way point if you wish).
The reason I don’t do this more often is my PC/network/some other factor makes each individual hop take a long time. I often just map direct to a WP in a town even though it “costs” me money simply because I want to be playing the game not watching loading screens…
My suggestion is this …
Why not make travel to any previously discovered WP in a town FREE? It’s effectively free for those with faster PCs/connections/more patience already. You’re just levelling the playing field for the rest of us.
I hope that’s an interesting thought

Currently these stones have only 2 usages.
1) They can be used as a kind of Mystic Forge 4th Item Joker to reduce the amount of gear to 3 items for a successful exchange.
Anet should increase the Joker Function here to 2 Stones per Exchange being possible to put into the Forge
2) They can be used to make with the 3 most valuable Salvagign Kits the Mystic Salving Kit, which is basically on the long run besides Black Lion Salving Kits the most useful Salvaging Kit you can run around with, as they have a full stack of 250 Salvaging Usages and have a 80% chance to receive upgreade out of items
ANet should implement for a high costs of MFS here also a permanent version of this Kit, like using a stack of mystic forge stones together with a mystic salvaging kit and some other fitting items that cost for example a alot of skill points and one that costs alot of karma
So 250 MFS + 1 MS-Kit + High SKill Point Item + High Karma Item = Mystic Permanent Salvaging Kit.
Get such a kit then together with 1 Black Lion Salvaging Kit and 1 High Gold Cost Item + 1 High Laurel Cost Item = Permanent Mystic Black Lion Salvaging Kit*
—-
Other usages for MFS’s:
Use MFS’s to enhance Materials with their amount in a 1:1 rate to higher tier materials.
You have 250 Tier 1 Copper Ore and want to turn them into 250 Tier 2 Iron Ore?
No problem, put following into the Mystic Forge:
250 Tier 1 Mats + 5 MFS + 10 Crystals + 10 Philosopher Stones = 250 Tier 2 Mats
250 Tier 2 Mats + 5 MFS + 30 Crystals + 30 Philosopher Stones = 250 Tier 3 Mats
250 Tier 3 Mats + 10 MFS + 50 Crystals + 50 Philosopher Stones = 250 Tier 4 Mats
250 Tier 4 Mats + 15 MFS + 75 Crystals + 75 Philosopher Stones = 250 Tier 5 Mats
250 Tier 5 Mats + 25 MFS + 100 Crystals + 100 Philosopher Stones = 250 Tier 6 Mats
That way it would become a bit easier to get the partwise ridiculous amounts of mats for specific crafting recipes together.
——
Use MFS to change Minipets into randomous higher quality Minipets.
Blue Minipet + 5 MFS + 25 Crystals +25 Philosopher Stones = Green Random Minipet.
Green Minipet + 10 MFS + 50 Crystals + 50 philosopher Stones = Yellow Random Minipet
Yellow Minipet + 20 MFS + 100 Crystals + 100 Philosopher tones = Orange random Minipet
Remove the old way of 4 Blue Minipets = Randomous Blue or Green Minipet and so on … Give Minipet Collectors a better more overviewable way of RNG mechanic that lets us not waste tons of minipets for a random RNG chance, but instead let us give specific items more of a use like MFS, Crystals and PS that people actually want to get alot of those items to use them for something useful in the end, that has still at the end a RNG mechanic, but one that will at least reward you with something, that was better, than before, even if it might end up in something, that you don’t need anymore.
——
Use MFS to create specific Shop Items over the mystic forge or thigns that will be required to make your legendary weapons.
- 5 MFS + Material X + Material Y + Material Z = Random amount of Mystic Clovers ranging from 2-10
- 1 MFS + Monster Trophy X + Monster Trophy Y + Monster Trophy Z = Experience Booster
- 1 MFS + PvP Item 1 + PVP Item 2 + PVP Item 3 = Glory Booster
- 1 MFS + 10 Badges of Honor + 2 Laurels Bags (exchangeable for laurels at Laurel Trader turning your Laurels into an Item just) + 1 Scroll of Experience = WvW Booster
- 1 MFS + 5 50 Point Essence of Luck + 5 100 Point Essence of Luck + 5 200 Point Essence of Luck = Magic Find Booster
- 1 MFS + Laurel Sickles + Laurel Pickaxes + Laurel Axes = Crafting Booster
—-
Use of MFS to improve/refine the Level and Quality of an Item to Max level and 1 Quality higher…
You know you have that moment alot, when you get a yellow rare dropped and its just a lvl 76 item or so …
Then you take that Item, put it together with 5 MFS, 5 Experience Scrolls and 5 Superior Sharpening Stones = 1 Level 80 Exotic Weapon
Per every Level that the item should raise, you would have to put into the Forge 1 Experience Scroll and 1 Superior Sharpening Stone + 1 of each for the forging itself
So in this example case we want to raise the level of an item by 4 levels, so we have to put 5 stones and scrolls into the forging als also 5 MFS…
Same should work with Armors and Accessoires.
—-
Use MFS to create also with them a MYSTICAL ARMOR SET.
—-
Use MFS to create a permanent Mystical Transformation Tonic for Costume Brawls, which lets you transform into all kinds of costumes randomly for as long as you wish, just like the secret tonics which transform you for an hour into everything basically randomly The Mystical Tonic would be just the permanent version of that
—-
Use MFS to create with it a special permanent Mystical Finishing Blow
—-
Use MFS, to create with them various new Mystical Back Items

What do you think ???
I have wondered this many times. Especially when opening Zhaitaffy.
Doesn’t Zhaitaffy make you hurl if you eat too much? That could very well be quite funny.
Indeed it does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2aeYFAyXVk
An “open all” or “consume all” option would be good for opening all the Halloween bags and candy corn.
Oh and the jewelry boxes in orr. I buy a ton of those and my poor little finger gets tired of opening them. Then once they are open, there is all that karma to click through.
Why 1000? That’s alot. While 250 candy corns for one cob would have been just fine. Or perhaps even making full cobs drop from enemies as well could have worked, could it not?
The numbers required now are pretty crazy, considering Candy Corn nodes have been removed from open world too.

If more new armours are going to be introduced into the game via the gem store then I would definitely like to see a system like this – a great suggestion. Bank space is already at a premium so not having to store unwanted bits of purchased sets would be good.
The #GW2Project365 on Twitter

ArenaNet,
One of the biggest motivations for me to continue playing is the prospect of new armors to incorporate into my character’s styles as I romp around the world fighting things and doing events. Barely any new styles being offered at all since release, coupled with the mandatory ‘Full Set’ purchase requirement of these new armor skins, has left me feeling disconnected from Guild Wars 2. The new armor releases really energized my interest in the game again, though I was then disappointed to see the new armors being sold as ‘Full Set’ only. Due to this fact, I feel you may have lost out on many, many sales of individual armor pieces by choosing to plunk them down in the Gem Store as a Full Set purchase only.
I intended to purchase at least 23 individual items were they to have been released as individually purchasable items, but upon seeing that they were only offered as Full Set purchases, I decided to only get a single set that I still will not use all the pieces of. That’s 23 individual skin purchases at 200 gems (est) each, for a total of 4600 gems had they been offered individually. Instead, you’ve gotten 800 gems in total sales from me with these new skins. I’ve also seen many others hoping you would offer armor pieces individually, thus leading to your not making sales with them because they are not purchasing the full sets offered.
I want you to succeed. I want you to make sales. However, I do not feel you are marketing your items in the best manner to ensure the largest possible sales while fulfilling the desires of your playerbase. People tend toward being more inclined to make many smaller amount purchases over a single large one.
Here are some mock-up images I threw together tonight showing what would be really nice to have for armor skins in the gem store.
Based on 200 gems per individual piece, notice the cost (buy button) changes with each additional item. But when the 4th item is selected then the total becomes 800 gems, which is how much a full set costs, so it then notifies you that you can have the full set for that price. Since the full set is 800 gems, this is sort of a Buy 4 of a set, get the other 2 pieces free for those who wish to get the full set.
This would allow those who would like the same item for many characters to spend the extra gems to purchase the individual items, while also maintaining the 800 gem cost of the full set for those who just want the full set and not go mix ’n match.
Please consider this proposal. I feel it would greatly increase your sales, due to the projected massive increase of individual item sales over the fewer bulk item sales you are currently offering, while also making a large portion of your playerbase very happy.

Thank you for your consideration.

I heard the new changes of priority to buffs within parties coming soon.
Can we have a stable Right-Click to JOIN/INVITE to party options on chats?
At the current moment, it’s a real pain to manually type names when we hit “P”.
And anyone can answer as to why it sometimes show and not ?
Spoilers incoming:
It is possible but not recommended to kill the Prince with lifesteal. However if you do then the quest does not progress and you will not get the golem. Rezoning will not restart the quest and you cannot re-enter for the reward.
Necros beware. The Thorn family has a nasty joke this year. If you kill them, they take their bags of treats and go home.
Depends on the player. If you dont care about min maxing every character then its very alt friendly. if you want to have BiS and WvW bonuses then its actually very alt unfriendly.
Further down the Road
- We’re reworking the combat log to make it more easily used. This will involve help from a ton of departments, but it will help every player in the game. By providing you better combat information, you’ll be able to better make tweaks to your build, and you’ll be able to better adjust your play to deal with difficult encounters.
- We’re also looking to make conditions scale better in PvE/WvW leveling so that they’re more viable at different junctures in the level scale.
- Runes/Sigils are also something the balance team wants to improve. We’d like to see cooler effects on some of the sets, so we’ll be working towards that. They also lead to a lot of build diversity, so we want more sets to be stronger so that it gives you guys more options in your builds.
- The patch notes will be much bigger than this, but we just wanted to give you guys a little insight into what’s coming in the near future from the balance team!
- Traits. We’re always looking at traits and trying to fix the traits that don’t seem as sweet as others.
So that’s pretty much it! Feel free to leave feedback and ideas/concerns and we’ll be watching to see what you guys come up with!

Hey guys, here are some of the improvements you can expect to see for the October 15th release. Let us know what you think about them and we’ll take this into consideration. Some of these may not make it in for that release, but I wanted to give you guys a high level preview of what we’re working on and give you an opportunity to give us your feedback.
Trait tooltips
Traits will now have tooltips in the same way that skills do. This means that you’ll be able to see EXACTLY how long an effect lasts, what its cooldown is, etc. We want this system to be as transparent as possible for our players, so that they can make the best decisions when creating their profession builds.
Skill tooltips as they pertain to traits
As traits impact a skill, we’ve also made it so that as skills are impacted by a trait, the skill’s tooltips adjust accordingly. Again, we want players to be able to see these details in their builds, so that they can build their characters exactly the way they want! We’ll be using different colors to show this so that it’s easier for players to see!
Other Misc. fixes:
Tab Targeting Improvements
- Now prioritizes Champs/Legendary, then players/clones, then everything else
- Deselecting your target now resets tab selection history (aka, you’ll start tabbing through from the beginning if you deselect)
- Can now tab target if your character can see the target (Was dependent on camera before)
Floater Improvements:
When you cause condition damage, all damage of a given type (burning, bleed, poison, etc.) will be grouped into a single # with an icon, making them much easier to read. This also allows players suffering from these conditions to more easily see them, and know when they should use condition removal. Note that this is an option, so that you can disable it if you want to (and return to the old system).
Better fast cast ground targeting:
We split this into 3 different options; so that players can more easily cater how ground targeting works for them.
- Double tap to cast
- Press the button to cast
- Release the button to cast
SO GET YO CAST ON!
Pet HP split between PvE and PvP
We wanted to make pets and summons more viable in PvE/WvW while making sure they didn’t become too strong in PvP.
Launch will now be stun breakable
We felt it made it sense to let stun breakers also help you when you are launched, since this is consistent with how stun breakers respond to other control effects.

Class balance:
Overall we’re looking to provide more builds for all classes, across all game types (PvE, PvP and WvW). We’re also looking to improve support potential for many classes. A lot of players have asked for this style of play to be stronger, so we’re looking to make it a more viable option.
These are some HIGH LEVEL previews, and you’ll still see number tweaks, trait fixes, and bug fixes for each class in the actual release notes, but we wanted you guys to have some transparency into the release:
Warrior
We’re looking to improve shouts so that support via shouts is more viable. This means moving Lung Capacity to Tier 1 so that you can take it along with Shrug it Off and Vigorous Shouts. The Warrior is in a pretty decent place overall right now, and sees play in many types of content, as well as in PvP/WvW.
Guardian
We increased the power of many support skills which weren’t seeing much play. We reworked Purging Flames: it now removes three conditions from allies in an area effect around the guardian on cast while still burning enemies (enemies that enter or exit the flames are still burned). Once the skill has been cast, it then reduces condition duration for allies who remain in the consecration’s area. It’s hawt. Literally. All meditation utility skills are now instant, and Focused Mind now grants fury on meditation use.
Ranger
Sick ‘Em will now apply ‘Revealed” to enemies they target. We want to introduce some counter play to Stealth (players have asked for that for a while), so we thought a pet “catching your scent” might be a cool way to insinuate some anti-stealth into the game.
To help Rangers support allies, we increased the ability ranger pets have to support allies. For instance, the Bear condition removal isn’t strong enough, so we’ll be improving that. Moas and Fern Hound will also be improved.
There will also be # changes to some of the Ranger weapons.
Thief
Venomous Aura was very difficult to use, as the radius was fairly tight. We’ve now increased that radius a bit, so that it’s easier to share venoms with allies without huddling closely together.
We’re also looking at shaving the efficiency of Flanking Strike slightly, so that it now only removes 1 boon instead of 2.
Also, pistol main hand may see one of its skills reworked to better support allies. We have multiple prototypes that we’re trying out, so we’ll have to see which we settle on by the next release.
Engineer
We did some reworks on the Elixir toolbelt (f-bar) skills. These just didn’t have enough cool play to them, and we wanted to improve them. Like:
- Elixir S toolbelt is now guaranteed stealth.
- Elixir B toolbelt now guarantees Stability along with the random current effect. Base recharge increased to 30 seconds.
We also did QoL (quality of life) improvements to skills that saw little play.
And finally, Engineer turrets will attack the Engineer’s target. They still take time to rotate to face the target, and they still have their respective cooldowns when firing. But this means the Engineer can focus damage on a single target by using their turrets.
Elementalist
We’re working on the staff in an effort to make it a stronger support weapon, and we also improved the conjure weapons so that they’re stronger for support. You’ll see improvements to all 4 of the conjure weapons to make them stronger and better for support.
We also increased the healing on Water Blast, the radius on Geyser and we reworked
Unsteady Ground to make it function more like line of warding.
Mes
To stay in line with the support theme, we wanted to find ways the Mesmer could support allies. We looked at Mantras, and just didn’t feel they were quite strong enough to do this, so we made some improvements.
Power Cleanse: We wanted to add some condition support, and made it so that this skill can remove 2 conditions from 5 allies.
Power Break also saw an improvement, as it now grants stability to nearby allies.
Nec
The Blood line underwent some tweaks, as it’s something that Necromancer players often feel is a lacking trait line. Vampiric Precision, Vampiric Rituals, Vampiric Master have all seen improvements.
For QoL (again, quality of life) we also improved the Life Force meter to show the actual bar better (moved slightly so it’s not competing with the skill icon for UI space), and the bar now shows your current Life Force amount, and the tooltip also shows current/max Life Force available. It makes it much easier to see how much Life Force you have, and lets you plan your engagements better.

Wasn’t this supposed to be one of the categories?
If not, please consider implementing it.
The Open World category is limited to your own server and doesn’t really seem like an appropriate categorization.
Our small guild will be unlocking Challenges soon, and with anywhere from 3-7 members participating in missions each week, it sounds like we will have absolutely 0 chance at completing one of these unless we get some help. I was hoping that the LFG Tool could be part of the solution but the lack of a cross-server Guild Mission category makes this rather unlikely.

I agree too. I would expand it to include not only back items and light med heavy but also the different gears like rings and earrings.
I’m surprised no one’s jumped in on this topic, but yeah, I totally agree. I was just doing a Google Search to figure out how to find back items in the trading post because there’s no in-game method other than searching for specific names.
The trading post search functionality needs an overhaul. This would be one of the many improvements that would make it more useful and and searches more efficient. I have to imagine that it would be less strain on the TP databases too, plus less bandwidth for sending unnecessary/unwanted results to the client every search.
Side note: The ability to filter armor by light, medium, and heavy would be a huge time saver as well.
I remember shortly after launch people were asking “where can I get back items”.
Now almost a year later and I still see new players in divinities reach asking the same question.
Most veteran players like myself know you can search for the words “back”, “brace”, or “spineguard”, to find some back items, or if you know the exact name of a newer (event related) back skin you can search for this by name (eg, holographic dragon wing cover).
But what we really need is a filter in the trading post to search for “back item”, which also includes back skins and backpack covers, so people can browse and buy previous event back skins also.
Sure, players can use 3rd party sites to try and find back items/skins but we relly shouldn’t have to keep relying so much on other peoples websites to give us the information we that should be able to find out by playing the game.
I’d be fine with being able to MF 4 of em for the lvl 80 version. I am an altoholic so I’ve always got uses for the regular ones, but I can definitely see how they become useless to people who don’t play alts or have all 80s.

As I have been reading from many people now, even with the small changes to the super legendary sword Eternity most owners of the sword are quite underwhelmed. Let me tell you I have been playing this game from release, and for me to just finish this weapon and see the exact same look of sunrise and twilight just kinda makes it seem less legendary than having sunrise and twilight separate. Yes the foot falls were nice, but having black fire and black footprints while wielding sunrise in the daytime looks very weird at least for me. I have to say I would expect no less from Anet seeing their fantastic art team to create an entirely original skin for the much neglected Eternity. I mean its name is Eternity for petes sake! That name alone cries out for its own unique look. So what I have done tonight is create my own idea of how I would love Eternity to look. I hope you Devs take a good look at this post and I especially hope they like my idea and use it in the future for Eternity. If you guys like my rendition of Eternity Bump this post and leave comments so that the devs can see and maybe take it into consideration
The file is attached to this post, tell me what you guys think
P.S. don’t comment about other legends needing attention, in my opinion all legendary’s are fine, I am only disappointed with Eternity simply because it is the only one of a kind super legendary in the game..you work for 2 which is ALLOT of work and you get what you already had only you are at the beck and call of night and day..to me eternity is a step down from sunrise and twilight in its current state.
