You’ve made two false assumptions, fix them both and you have your answer.
JOHN SMITH! It’s good to see you back.
But I was about to say, I imagine it’s because people going ori-crazy with the new picks to try to justify their purchase. I guess John’s post is a pretty good confirmation.

I’ll do no such thing!
Perhaps a better idea might be to place the reset on Saturday rather then Friday. I think that time, and perhaps even earlier, would work on a Saturday.
Another idea would be just to move it back one hour, which makes it exactly the same as it was before daylight savings.
Tarnished Coast – Dissentient [DIS]
All classes
(edited by Nabrok.9023)
I’m all for improving things for EU, but this is just moving the problem from one region to another.
No no no. This is really bad move for those on the west coast in the US. I think there should be 2 options:
1. Leave it as it is
2. Create separate reset times for NA vs EU. This is the preferred solution.
Thieves as well? I hope this is only for pve and not pvp because thieves are the last thing that needs a buff.
Since the topic of balance between classes will ultimately be discussed, if it goes like last time and each class is going to be addressed individually, make sure that each class is talked about equally.
As community members who have the opportunity to speak to devs, while there are time constraints, remember that you are representing the community, so there should not be any “moving on in the interest of time” for profession talk, as lots (I don’t want to to speak for everybody, so correct me if my educated guess is wrong) of people watch to get an idea of how the devs see their class(es) and if they should lookout for any incoming changes.
The other parts of the conversation will most logically consist of mechanics and future content. With those types of things, there needs to be a concise discussion. Community members who are speaking; you guys have done well in the past. Devs; please try to be more concise.
Not to be confused with being less informative, but for instance, if we are talking about leaderboards. Please don’t explain what leaderboards are and what the purpose is. Explain how things work and whether there would be any changes or additional things added. People are streaming this from a computer, they can google what leaderboards are and what their purpose is, but they can’t get inside a dev’s head and figure out their intentions for the game.
That’s just an example and that could just be a personal thing. But generally a when/where/why should be all that is needed unless there is something mentioned that actually needs some defining.

Also stability does not stop immobilize.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pure_of_Voicemaybe these will help if running in a large group?
for now anyway
Not at all. It’s not one 5 second immobilize, its five 1 second immobilizes. Even if you cure it, it just gets reapplied a second later.
If it is no, then I feel that is a huge oversight. Retal should be the direct counter to conditions and smaller damage based hits, while larger hits should be counter by blocks and dodges.
This could be intentional since they have made changes to reduce the duration of retal as much as possible since at the start we could keep it up pretty much 100% of the time (still has huge up time).
I’m going to have to log into my wife’s account and test out retal on myself later.
Just went into mists and had an NPC stack bleeds on me. No retal damage via bleed ticks =( I really disagree with this.

Hi,
how about this: There is some fighting going on in WvW and you are entirely outnumbered, happens often enough. So, what if the commander had the possibility to talk to a NPC, similar to Siegerazer, and trigger a message to all players on the server. Something like a bright coloured message in chat saying: “Commander XY asks for your help in the Eternal Battlegrounds!”. Of course it should be limited in use, by cooldown and/or by currency (badges?).
While this is nothing spectacular, I find it would be somewhat helpful and add some sense of community.

I don’t understand why confusion has been allowed to go on as it is for so long. Clearly ignorance on the part of the devs.
OP raises as interesting point. Would be cool if you could actually designate which conditions take priority when removed.
Menorah | Charr Cat | Some Cat Thing
Still running my old RRR build because why not
In its current implementation confusion is very weak in general PvE and very strong in wvw. In sPvp the damage is actually reduced by 50% and maybe Anet will look at maybe separately balancing skills between wvw and PvE too.
Ok so im sick of this, confusion needs to be changed so that condition removal targets it after bleeding. Unless Anets planned counter to it is sit there like an idiot and do nothing/have 3 remove all conditions. You can get 12+ stacks against a mesmer pretty easily, you want to leave them doin high dmg, ok. But it needs to be prioritized for us when we try to remove it.
God knows when i get 12 stacks of confusion, I Want to remove weakness
Will boon hate be a mechanic introduced in this month’s patch? Can you go into more detail on how boon hate will work because there’s nothing known about it other than its name and the basic idea to increase damage against someone with boons.
Will boon hate dispell all boons on the target, deal x% damage per boon destroyed? If so, what’s to stop boons from going back on? Will you also put a boon hate debuff on the target for like 5 seconds so they can’t just put boons back on and we’re back at square one?
Or will it just be a passive damage increase? This seems like a very bad way to do it as it’s just a bandaid you’ll adjust on a class by class basis and never really solve the problem.
But we have no idea how this will work, how it will be implemeneted for the thief class, and if it will work the same way from class to class?

Last nights reset was a huge let down, We had 40 members on ready to go. Then we were getting server disconnect,s 10min loading screens and massive lag spikes. Once i was disconnected i wasnt able to log back into my main acct. for 2 hours because my chars were stuck loading into a map. Within 15mins of reset 30 logged off for the night and the grp of 10 of us on RoF bls were just lagging all over and freezing up we couldnt get anything done at all. Hopefully ANET fixes this problem soon. Next time PI we will bring a tougher fight when we are not freezing up
Leader/Driver of Krew/MR
I’m merely showing that every side gets doubleteamed sometimes, regardless of their position on the box. No reason to take everything as a personal attack, or an attack on RoF, chill =)
GH you owe a massive thanks to your 20+ strong single guild night capping players ‘Krew’
We do own them thanks, first and foremost because they’re nice people and a great addition to the server’s community. But they joined the server once we’ve already been in the lead in this matchup =)
Yes you wiped dz from eb. But by night caping? And also IF there is some alliance, i dont think everybody on both servers know about it.
What Catinka meant is that we could have gone for RoF with the nighttime coverage, be it in EB or BL, and we’ve always been prioritising downgrading Dzagonur properties, both last night in EB and throughout the week in their borderlands. During offpeak, we moved onto RoF only after Dzagonur. During peaktime, i feel it’s simply down to numbers, at least in EB, and the fact that when RoF get the upper hand they push GH, so we have to fall on defense, and when Dzago plays their cards, they push RoF, meaning we can push the same enemy from the other side.
This is how EB works.
Frejn, the troops that weren’t on EB were fighting the huge dzag zerg while your team was capping camps and sniped towers, its not like we were all fighting 5 GH on our borders.
That’s the beauty of a threeway mass PvP :p we had quite some situations when either opponent flooded the towers we’ve just taken to reflip them on their colour.
We fought VERY hard battles to hold our garrison at around 2AM GMT, then seeing a GH post a map picture here at about 4-5AM showing how he capped blue side of EB and our garrison while rof wasn’t there is kind of shameless.
We’re getting better in the primetime and we got a boost to our nighttime coverage, but our mornings were always pretty weak. If anyone out there still thinks of any kind of ‘alliance’ between GH and either server, just look at this little screen taken just a while ago – particularly notice the ongoing red expansion in EB.
Not complaining, don’t get me wrong, just finally disproving any alliances, treaties and other whatnots. It’s all just the WvW dynamics that one side sometimes gets doubleteamed.
The ‘Bauble Bubbles’ are clearly a reference to Bubble Bobble.
Alright, let’s give Warriors and Thieves ‘Boon Hate’. Then give Engineers and Rangers ‘Stealth Hate’ (the ability to see stealthed opponents).
There, now there’s a hard counter for everything.
Yes. Yes. Yes.

Highly Over Powered Explorers [HOPE] – Desolation EU
I’m close to getting Twilight now. I have everything except the precursor, and I know I’m far from being the only one. I’ve spent around 100g on the Mystic Forge with no luck, however RNG hates me in all loot based games so I’m calling it quits there before I commit suicide and will just buy Dusk from the TP instead. I’ve attained just over 70G at the moment so I’m roughly 1/10th of the way to being able to afford Dusk. I have also played for over 1,200 hours now with no precursor drop yet. I’m not sure if that’s the norm but I’m feeling incredibly unlucky
The lesson I’ll take away from this is to start with the precursor first. Everything else is a doddle in comparison, you had also better not think “Oh well Anet will add a scavenger hunt in the future” as from what I’ve read all this scavenger hunt seems to be is an idea at the moment…
A little advice: You’ll also be best off having some alts to run the EB JP for the badges of honour, pretty easy and it’s fun to do in those “I’m bored” moments. I left the badges quite late on and spammed the JP which was annoying to say the least. I’d also consider getting the gift of mastery first or at least get those first 250 obsidian shards out of the way. This meant when I was making the mystic clovers I just gave them another attempt whenever I got enough karma for a few obsidian shards rather than finally get 77 clovers and have 250 more obsidian shards to go on top of everything else.
The most annoying part for me was getting the T6 materials. I had poor luck with the clovers which returned me a load of leather sections and other cheap useless materials so I pretty much had a whole stack of all materials to get, I was too lazy to farm the individual materials, even with magic find as my average rate was about 1 T6 material every 10 minutes. So I just spent a lot of money buying stacks. Focusing on the cheaper materials and moving my way up to the more expensive materials. This personally took me forever and was by far the most annoying part of this “legendary journey”. The other big part was the onyx lodestones, luckily I managed to just buy the cores and turn them into lodestones, costing me a mere 80G so they weren’t as big an issue as I thought they would be.
But other than that yeah… Dusk.
Dusk Dusk Dusk Dusk kitten kitten Dusk… Kill me now pl0x. :’(
That’s my legendary progress summed up… Dusk…
I’ll get back to you guys once I’ve saved up another 600G. Oh by the way, as soon as I had gotten everything other than my precursor people in my guild are suddenly getting precursors as drops or early Mystic Forge rewards. I must be a lucky charm!!! Though that helps me not at all. To add salt to my wound, a friend got Dusk as a WvW drop and asked me for money to help him sell it >.> 600G was too much money to turn a blind eye to and help a friend out
I also wish I got outside help with my legendary like a lot of people I know did (By outside I mean with friends and guildies). When I ask for help I just get a “Go do it yourself noob” which reminds me of GW1 when I joined towards the end of it’s life and when I asked for a party people just replied “You have heroes, go and solo everything noob” FML.
I’m ranting far too much now, but I need to express my anger somehow, but still Anet, great game! Just decrease the amount of RNG please
Thank you.
0 keys, 0 tickets, and am proud of myself.

It would be a lot better if that person wasn’t an elementalists every time and no matter how many times they get downed they just spirit form back to their base.
Then use Ring of Warding and keep them out again.
They can’t cross a Ward even with the invulnerability.
That’s not true, hate to burst your bubble.
Usually, when I walk into a store and want to buy something; I exchange my money for what I want to buy.
Why is it that they design a system that makes the customer roll dice for a chance to get what they want? The store keeps our money even if we don’t get what we want.
Why would anyone want to shop in this store?
