HF to Piken and Riverside, GH is going to be probably out of W3 for this week.
I came to tier 7 to enjoy small scaling roaming and the good fights, but once again i must face the RS german noobish zergfest. So bad luck
I would say we are all disappointed but I am rather relieved that Anet found a bug and are fixing it rather than releasing it and then us finding the bug
Devon did the right thing letting us know as soon as they found out it wouldn’t be ready for the next weeks matchup
but still a disappointment
Sadly, I started recording after some time, but it still shows what I mean:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ULyumpENjo&feature=youtu.be
I ask: wth?!
I don’t mind them being able to burst someone in 2 secs. I don’t mind them having best mobility in game. I DO mind them being able to stop small/medium sized zerg and waste ppls time.
This movie is just one of examples from last few weeks. In this case there are 2 of them, but not long ago 1 thief stopped 10-15 of us in tower for 5 min. We simply didn’t have anough AoE to cover whole floor, and even if we had, I don’t think it’d be enough.
No, I can’t just ignore them, and let them rez some dead mesmer.
No, stealth traps doesn’t work against thief with at least half of brain.
No, “just AoE them noob!” doesn’t work.
Yes, they are very good players. Still, it’s class that allows such things, and no other class gives so big advantage in any other “discipline”. Some are better at some things, but it’s just too much.
I expect nice kitten from thief player, but I don’t care. I made this topic in hope some dev will see it (because sometimes I feel they don’t play the same game). Feel free to discuss, but I don’t plan to respond to don’t make kittenstorm bigger.
Oh how I miss the old WvW devs. This game wasn’t nearly as bad until Devon came on board
Devon is very commutative, much more so then the person before him, don’t discourage him! Sure, traps were >terrible,< and we’re still waiting for some exciting map changes, but Devon probably isn’t a programer and can’t make the siege fix come out any faster ~ ; ;.
How is this not fixed yet? How can not being able to place siege be such a huge issue that it has not been fixed?
I didn’t want to complain, but wvw is very unstable right now and this match-up is pretty much invalid since anyone can form a map zerg and golem rush whatever they want.

We’ve found a bug in the siege cap and are working on addressing the problem as soon as we can.
O O…dude I have the solution to this. I found out a few days ago when I fought this thief in WvW..
The first thing you do is use y…….
~This user was backstabbed repeatedly and died~
1. Anti Stealth Traps are USELESS. Period.
10 supplies and nearly 4 seconds cast? Really? Seriously guys? Thief will kill me before I open my Inventory…
2. Thieves can easily escape from EVERY fight. He starts a fight, loses, stealths, heals and resets (or escapes)… and so on. Two days ago I saw a Thief kiting 2 people AND killing a Dolyak in the same time… that’s insane…
3. There is no possible way to counter stealth. I am asking – WITH WHAT? With that useless traps?
4. The risk of roaming as a Thief is 0. Beautiful, round ZERO. He can run away whenever he wants.
I have leveled an Engineer especially for WvW (because my Ele was nerfed again, and no – I’m not talking about D/D but about my Mist Form) and I use dual Pistols + H S B U Elixirs and Supply Crate of course. Traits: 10/30/0/30/0. Armor: Power/Vit/Condi. I have a question – how am I supposed to fight versus someone who is invisible 75% of the time? Glue Shot immobilize and Supply Crate stuns are useful but still – they only let me to harass him – not kill…
According to ANet devs:
“Just move on. You aren’t going to kill him.”
They are worth a minimum number of points. Zero.
If they’re worth zero, they’re spending a lot of time dead as opposed to power leveling.
The thing is earning WvW ranks is not as easy as you think, unless keeps, towers etc flip like crazy
WvW Matchup Changes!
World vs. World matches are about to get an injection of variety! With these changes you can look forward to facing new opponents in new matchups and testing your world’s skill against more foes!
Someone had better explain this.
Legendaries should be:
Something you can excitingly go for. Something worth your time of launching Gw2.exe everyday to achieve the next milestone, with a fixed legendary clearly visible at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel is long and treacherous, but filled with fun activities worth the journey. At the end of the day, the legendary is the bonus for doing all that activities
Legendaries should NOT be:
Something you play lottery with to win.
Take, for example, Been There Done That: it takes a long time to do that, you have to trek through all sorts of Vistas and deal with skill points protected by excrement-ty statues that only do something when corrupted by a necromantic dragon. There are LOTS of maps, and they are all HUGE. The journey is cumbersome, but you get to see exotic places, something many could do, but only a few want to.
And have you even seen Gendarran Fields? That $#!7 is EMPTY. Those that have got Been There, Done That had to put up with the same emptiness across 90% of the maps, the other 10% being Queensdale, its equivalent for other races, and Cursed Shore
And the reward is just a gift? Pshaw. That activity is worth a precursor. A random precursor, but a precursor nevertheless.
Right now, it’s merely a gamble in New Vegas with 1 in LUCK

They made the Legendaries like that because they wanted getting a Legendary to be a legendary experience. I agree with you that the dream:reality ratio of Legendaries it incredibly off.
I do wish they didn’t dangle ultra-shiny and really hard to get weapon skins in our face because all it does is cause people to torture themselves.
Not so much fun for people who don’t like zerg fights though. Been trying to find solo / small fights but no real success so far.

Let’s say that fighting against GH, except some guilds, is quite boring…
I can’t figured out the requests for GvG’s… It’s GW2 not GW.

I spent 3hours/day farming charged lodestones during a month, always with MF Food + Black Lion MF boost + guild bannier… Result : I got 14 of them.
“at least 1 per hour or two” is just plain BS. If you have such a loot rate, then use it to get rich, because I don’t know anyone with this rate on charged lodestones, and seeing the supply/demand, I guess I’m not far from truth.

Only a WvW-player has spent 2000hours playing and hasnt got any achievements done.
Only a WvW-player needs to buy a trap to see all it’s opponents.
Do a search for tp tools……utilize at own risk (evidently that is the official stance on most of them)……profit…or cof p1, but the tp is easier and faster. Whatever you do don’t contribute to the gw2 community by actually playing content, as it is counter productive to your endeavor. Unfortunately that is the way it has been setup/evolved.
Buy any 4 pieces of temple karma armour and put it all into the Mystic Forge, then you get back 1 exotic piece of armour that you can sell or salvage.
As a member of a small guild who does 99.9% wvw activites, we would like to thank Arena Net for giving us a reason to try and defend towers/keeps/forts. As previous DaoC players we appreciate what Epic wvw battles can be, and watching zergballs take keeps in under a minute is NOT it. Im sure there will be a vocal minority desperate for wvw exp who can only think of how they are inconvenienced by having to think, or use counter siege. But on behalf of the silent majority, I would like to say…. suck it up princess.
I would like to see the carts damage become immune on a keep door however as it seems silly that AC’s should take place of rams.
I love how AS say they get focused 90% of the time and they prove it with current numbers of points. What I see, myself, is that, unlike AS, WSR actually cares about defending its borderland. I kill hundreds and hundreds of opponents, I get killed dozens of times, yet I play only in my BL. So how is this possible if we don’t defend what’s ours?
AS, stop using the flawed system of Anet to say that GH, Dzagonur and RoF all focus on you when all you do is attack and not defend. Because yes, attacking grants you point on the short term, but you seem to forget that defending grants you points on the long term. While you don’t learn that, please avoid the “they all focus us” complains.
- Higher tiers are just zergs
- Higher tiers are just about coverage
- Coverage doesn’t equate to good fights
- Higher tiers have more lag
- Higher tiers are more volatile due to bandwagoners
- Higher tiers are about winning, when winning doesn’t matter
Everyone is bad but me.
Anet ruined Gw2.
Because WvW is soo much more fun below t4
Ruins of Surmia
Higher tier =/= better server.
Higher tier = we have more coverage in time zones.
Infact, lower tiers get better fights than the blobs of higher tiers
Why do you guys continue to make the majority of your balance decisions around sPVP performance when hardly anyone plays it? By any measure, sPVP has been a failed experiment, why does the rest of the game have to suffer through class balance decisions that are clearly 100% targeted at sPVP?
