With the league nearly here and everyone is foolishly stacking up at t1 servers, Anet surely got themselves quite a lot of money. Will it end here? Nope. When t1 players realize that they will only meet their “real” opponent just one time through out the whole league while having blow out match up for the rest of the league, surely a lot of them will transfer to lower tier once they got tired of PvD, especially Oceanic/SEA players. Which also means kaching to Anet.

+40% Condition duration food is OP

A food that makes Conditions 40% more efficient is overpowered in my book.

Incidentally there is no comparable food for Power or Crit-Builds.

Crit-Builds get +10% Crit-damage at best while Power builds get +100 Power or some other effect.

I am assuming things are balanced around sPvP so why then does a Condition build get to boost their Condition efficiency by 40% while Power build get a much lower power increase?

It just further exasperates the relative power of Conditions and that’s the reason every Condition build runs with this food.

20% would be acceptable in my book.

100% Player Consensus on GvG

Every player who is against GvG in WvW AND every player who supports GvG would like for the activity to have it’s own game mode. This would remove GvG from WvW, give them a truely even playing field, and let them do what they love. Win for both/all sides.

So 100% of players support a GvG game mode which could be as simple as an empty map. I’m sure they don’t even care about rewards or an in-game ranking system. Copy a map, remove all objects, call it “PvP sandbox”, and put it on the WvW or sPvP menu.

If you don’t agree about the 100% player consensus, post the reason for keeping GvG in WvW; since GvG is going to happen somewhere regardless of how you feel about it.

By not accommodating something this simple, we can assume the developers WANT to keep GvG events in WvW for some reason. Either that or they are either wildly incompetent or else completely apathetic to what 100% of their players want.

Now that’s how “Eternity” should look much more than just putting Sunrise and Twilight together, very nice. Sunrise for day, Twilight for night is good ’n all, but Eternity should have an all encompassing worldwide/space, timeless/ageless depiction.

As I have been reading from many people now, even with the small changes to the super legendary sword Eternity most owners of the sword are quite underwhelmed. Let me tell you I have been playing this game from release, and for me to just finish this weapon and see the exact same look of sunrise and twilight just kinda makes it seem less legendary than having sunrise and twilight separate. Yes the foot falls were nice, but having black fire and black footprints while wielding sunrise in the daytime looks very weird at least for me. I have to say I would expect no less from Anet seeing their fantastic art team to create an entirely original skin for the much neglected Eternity. I mean its name is Eternity for petes sake! That name alone cries out for its own unique look. So what I have done tonight is create my own idea of how I would love Eternity to look. I hope you Devs take a good look at this post and I especially hope they like my idea and use it in the future for Eternity. If you guys like my rendition of Eternity Bump this post and leave comments so that the devs can see and maybe take it into consideration The file is attached to this post, tell me what you guys think

P.S. don’t comment about other legends needing attention, in my opinion all legendary’s are fine, I am only disappointed with Eternity simply because it is the only one of a kind super legendary in the game..you work for 2 which is ALLOT of work and you get what you already had only you are at the beck and call of night and day..to me eternity is a step down from sunrise and twilight in its current state.

I think this video and descriptions sounds interesting.

BUT why the hell should it be part of WvW?

It would be much better as another play-mode!!!
A play-ground on it’s own for all that like bigger-scale than pvp and smaller scale than WvW.

Sperate the Maps and Speparate the score and voila. both the Pro’s and the Contra’s should be happy.

And if you already do that: Add an empty map as GvG-playground as another further mode as well.

Instead of forcing everything into the same ALREADY LAAGY mode, provide different modes for different players/moods.

Sure, let’s take out all invulnerability too.
mesmer f4, mist form, guardian elite and more

because they counter all damage, no counter play, very lame

remove stealth too because it counters an entire type of classes, i can’t attack as a ranged class if i can’t target the enemy

and AoEs, remove AoEs because it counters all the summon pets builds.

oh and root ranged classes,like mages. because that’s how balance should be

No. That is not a possibility at this time. The point of the buff is to affect the WvW game mode as a whole disabling it on your character would lessen the value of the buff to a server and completely invalidate the whole point.

So do 4 leagues in NA. This eliminates the enormous population difference from server 1 to server 12 and 13 to 24.

If you really think the server that is ranked 12th at the start of this stands any chance against the top servers you are delusional.

I never said they did. However, I’d argue that they do in fact stand a chance against the 6th ranked server and the 5th ranked server. We are not trying to only ever match you up against your closest comparable server. That was what was happening with the system before and it was bad. If you are saying you don’t ever even want the chance to try and show your skill against a higher ranked server, then I don’t know what to say.

We will continue to look into ways to change scoring to try and even out some of the population based imbalances, but that is not an easy task and it won’t happen during the season.

Devon, c’mon man…it’s not about skill. Skill is not a major factor in wvw outcomes. It never was and never will be. It’s population, population, population. And do you know what happens when you match a rank 12 server against a rank 1 server? Rank 12 goes home. That’s what happens. And if you think that’s ‘pathetic’ or something, then maybe you need to rethink what it is you are making. It’s a game and people want to have fun in a game. Being outnumbered 5 to 1 all the time is Not Fun.

In fact, it doesn’t even need to be a 1-12 difference. CD spent just 3 weeks fighting t2-3 servers and by the end of it we had pretty much given up. It’s much worse for others I hear.

Sorry, this isn’t angels in the outfield. Miracles aren’t going to happen. The outcome of matching servers with more then 1 tier of disparity is pretty much already decided.

I’m ready to go back to the old system now. I’ll take the same ‘boring’ old 3 servers every week to the way things have been: not being able to even play for weeks at a time.

3. The player must meet some form of minimum activity requirement or lose his registration for that season. (we can discuss what constitutes activity worthy of receiving the reward i guess.)

The season long reward will require you to complete the WvW season meta achievement. Which behaves much like the Living World achievements. The server for which you receive rewards will be the 1st server you log in on once the season starts. Any transfers after that will not change your rewards.

I wonder what made you guys think that WvW is even remotely ready for something like this in it’s current state.

Anyway, when you announce such a change this early, without taking necessary precautions, you will now see more people stacking up on already filled servers, in order to win and get better rewards the easiest way possible. If anything this game needed it was some encouragement for people to spread out more, not the opposite. This just tells me that you guys are even more clueless than I first thought.

So, in Europe, we still do have some weeks to transfer to Vizunah or Seafarer’s Rest.
Giving the current trend the second choice is probably a better one.

The overall impression I have is that this league is a way to postopone any much needed important wvw upgrade some more time for some fine tuning.

Nice, but the League is a worldwide invitation to bandwagon to few server.
With a final result of huge queues in few servers and emptiness in the losing ones.

My game is primary www, my guild is www and we are in waht is now called T2.
What option do we have?
1 Transfer tomorrow in the winner server
2 Accept that we won’t get the rewards
3 Looking for a game that support RvR properly

Which means everyone is going to transfer off low tier servers now. Why hasn’t ANET done anything to promote people coming to lower tier servers? I mean transfers to bottom tier servers should be free. That would be a good start. You can also do server type buffs (WvW exp, magic find, gold increases) to also promote these servers.

It was the only thing not addressed in the stream or the blog posted. They didn’t mention what stat allocation it was changing to. I’m assuming Assassin’s (formerly Explorer) but it could just as well be Traveler’s or Pillager’s. Is there any other stats it could change to that I’m not thinking about?

Moving to investing: What kind of price spike will it have once the patch hits, if any? I purchased some and the price has increased slightly already, but will it increase even more?

Sadly my money is that they will be a large advantage. This is based on how anet has handled things in the past (poorly). Being forced to pve to enjoy wvw is a bad idea.

My goal is to eliminate the latter scenario. And I promise to do as much as I can to meet that.

I’m a pretty dedicated WvW player, and recently I’ve been seeing a massive surge of condition based characters running around. It’s namely necro/engie and they’re near impossible to kill 1v1, or even Xv1 in some cases. This is just like the broken warrior stun chain nonsense; it can be “countered”, but realistically nobody can counter as much as the spam can be inflicted.

The way that condition classes can inflict massive amounts of conditions that put out ridiculously high damage and still be relatively tanky due to their gear and build (carrion/rabid) is flat out overpowered; i can see how anet intended it to work but at this point the mechanic is broken. You can read up on the various other issues this current meta is causing on the PvP subforums to get a good idea from people who know what they’re talking about.

This isn’t a matter of “l2p” (the classic sign of someone defending something that’s broken and they play it) because there’s nothing that counters this at all. Lemongrass? Expensive and countered by Pizza. Lyssa/Melandru Runes? Pigeonhole you into being too specifically anti-condition while not being powerful enough to be worth it. Cleansing? Hardly anything can cleanse as fast as the conditions are re-inflicted.

The fact that your character needs to be defined specifically to one role be even slightly effective against the condition meta is enough to know this needs to be altered.

Necro/engie/ranger meta builds need some serious looking at and conditions need to be fixed (necro ESPECIALLY). Simple as that.

And to boot my character isn’t even a glass cannon. 18k hp, decent toughness, full exotics etc.
