It was certainly pretty… but that was about it. It literally told us NOTHING we haven’t already known for the last 3 months.

It’s kind of funny (if it wasn’t so sad), map chat is FULL of people with optimism that they are going to get to kill scarlet and see some big reveal at the top of the tower… I didn’t have the heart to tell them the truth.

Although the VcY Corporation™ has been silent for 2 days, we felt proper analysis of the issues presented can only be expected from any serious enterprise. We have now finalised our research and are ready to present you the results.

Specifically for you, the VcInquisition™ has gone through our employee base to identify the potential culprit. After proper investigation, we were unable to relate any of our active necromancers to any “stealth” event. As such, we are ready to conclude that we must have an invisible necromancer, as he did not appear to be visible in the guild roster, WvW, yesterday’s GvG activities or any aspect related to us. So I had been in and out of support tickets with Anet about some Level3 Dallas Texas server IP that was just making it unplayable when lots of people on the screen, just skill lag with no end. Never got a resolution, I was told it was my ISP and my ISP told me to get bent, I even tried lots of proxies nothing worked.

But after this last optimizations that was mentioned, I am glad =). Back to WvW.

Unless you’re going to argue that getting 3 stacks of bloodlust also takes equal effort to earning 230 world experience levels (which also require a trade off in NOT getting other skills), I don’t see the problem with it giving less stats.

Turns out, MMOs (almost every one) favor older players. Sorry.

Let me tell you about a town. This town had a tradition. Once a year every one in the town would get together and pull straws out of a hat. One straw was shorter then the others. Whoever pulled the short straw was forced out of the crowd.

The crowd then picked up stones off the ground and threw them at the person with the short straw till he/she died.

When asked why they stoned someone to death every year, the townfolk replied

“Why, that’s just the way it is. We’ve always done things that way.”


Do you see the problem here? Just because something is ‘tradition’ doesn’t make it right, nor does it mean it shouldn’t be changed.

It is the 7th episode of The Lowbie Adventrues series, this time with a level 20 scepter/focus condition ele. Really strange weapon choice for roaming/dueling, i know, but i needed the defensive skills of the focus to compensate the lack of traits. I guess this was one of the reasons i could won those fights, cause many players dont know the focus skills and animations (they were mostly new for me), the other reasons of course the opponents were bad (or uppity), and low level upscaling is OP a bit (3k armor and 22k HP with 1,6k condi dmg on ele, lol).
Anyway, this is just for fun, hope you like it.

We figured out pretty quickly that the changes you made to immobilize could be exploited to get some ridiculous immobilize durations. We used it ourselves at first, but we don’t tend to exploit things that are totally broken like perplexity runes and your current broken implementation of immobilize.

Any classes that have decent duration roots can stack a ridiculous amount of root duration. Now add venom sharing and devourer poison and just look how stupid it gets.

Just wait until the run-of-the-mill no-skill unimaginative 15-20 man autoattacking spam blobs figure this one out.

Another change that gives a huge advantage to the side that already has a huge advantage due to numbers. I guess it was too easy fighting 5v15 before. Now you will have to do it while be rooted for 20+ seconds.

Fix it. And for God’s sake, get some testers who actually understand the game.

She’s a great detective, she’s a good necromancer, and she knows a lot about poison… does that really sound so crazy?

Well, the previous event when she showed up made me think she was rather poor necromancer, with no abilities whatsoever. This is the first time someone mentioned she’s competent at anything.
Her being smarter than Logan did not say much – after all, pretty much anyone is smarter than Logan.

(just to be clear – i agree with you that she’s no Mary Sue. I just don’t consider her one for a different reason).

She is a bad Necromancer. She got owned during the first instance fights.

So did Trehearne.

There are so many warrior QQ threads nowadays with so many false facts. So I think it’s time to clarify some of those:

- Unsuspecting Foe doesnt work with knockbacks or knockdowns, only with stuns. Hammer only got 1 stun which last up to 2s.
- Adrenal Health ticks every 3 seconds, not every second. So nop, it doesnt heal for huge amounts. Most warriors use their burst as much as they can, so at average they are at 50% adrenaline which results in an average 125 hp / 3s = 41hps. With full adrenaline its 120 hps.
- Warriors strong healing skills compensate for the lack of all the defensive stuff other professions got, e.g. Protection, Aegis, Blinds, Weapon Heals, Stealth, Pets, Clones, Blinks, massive Evades
- Healing Signet and Healing Surge both have pros and cons. Healing Signet is useless against huge spike damage. Thats where Healing Surge shines. Example: In a 40s battle you can use Healing Surge twice for up to 20540 hp. Thats 514 hps vs 407 hps with HS. The reason most warriors just use Healing Signet is that just few enemies run zerker builds. Healing Signet shines against condition and bunker builds. Simple as that.
- Endure Pain lasts 4s not 8s. It doesnt remove conditions and it doesnt negate condition damage.
- Almost all warrior skills have very obvious animations, thus are easy to dodge.
- All warrior mobility skills rely on the actual run speed. They are hard countered by cripple, chill, root and boon stripping (in case of swiftness stripping). They all have a fairly long traveling time.
- Mobile Strikes only removes immobilize at the beginning of the skill. You can still immobilize the warrior during traveling time of the skill.
- Warriors can reduce cripple/ chill/ immobilize duration bei -98% via Dogged March, Melandru Runes and Food. But this is easily negated by +Condition Duration food. So with +40% condition duration food the reduction is back to -58%. If the warrior doesn’t use Melandru its only -33%. So a 3s cripple will last 2s, long enough to counter most of the warriors mobility skills.

i think its about time for anet to come here there isn’t much of a discusion without half the parties.

I agree, I hope Devon and his team really read all of the suggestions and think about them, sure were not always right but there is nothing wrong with admitting that some of the ideas are really good and worth investigating. This would probably bump Devon up a notch or two with the players if he came here open minded and ready to work together. I can see why he might be a bit reluctant, were not always the easiest people to please and one wrong sentence could mean the wolves are snapping at his ankles.

We all know now what your server is about – no skill, no bravery, no expertise – so no glory can ever be sensed by any of your server members.

If we do not win, we do so knowing we gave every breathe of effort possible to every fight. We do not sit around waiting until the opponent(s) are not present so we can cheat our titles. Shame on you. Did you not learn anything from the Battle of Waterloo? When will you learn, you just haven’t got it in you, at a species capability level. Roll on next week, when we can have decent hard-fought fights again, (don’t shake FR readers), and we can be rid of these plebians who know not how to win in war.

I would want to apologize to any FR or anyone else taking offence by this person’s rude and offensive remarks in the area bolded by me. As an FSPer, I am ashamed to see him as a commander with such a foul behaviour as this.

Only thing I agree on is that warriors mobility should get nerfed slightly. Like a range reduction on the skills. Bringing Rush to 900 would be a nice start.

They need the same treatment as Ele got with Ride The Lightening, if you dont hit someone with it then it gets a VERY high cool down.

First you have to fix rush because in the current state it almost never actually hits a moving target. Its bugged as hell.

seriously, it’s the same skill as RTL, why such a different treatment ?

In theory craft both skills are the same. In reality they are totally different. I play both warrior and ele in WvW for 12 month now and this is what I observed:

- RTL movement is roughly 50% faster than Rush.
- RTL hits moving targets much more reliable than Rush.
- RTL is not effected by cripple and chill.
- Rush distance while crippled or chilled is reduced by approx. 75%.
- Rush has a huge pre-cast time before it actually hits the target. Target just have to do a sidewalk to let Rush miss. No dodging necessary.
- Rush regularly doesnt stop at the target, instead it moves further away from the target.

Thats the reasons why nobody uses Rush offensively. As a result Rush is rarely on cooldown + can be used to disengage from fights.

Being one of the many FSP WvW veterans. And I think I can speak for all of them at this moment. ArenaNet it is a shame that all those noob PvE’ers are screwing up our WvW. Stupid living story achievement!

If you only had placed it under WvW catagory so they did not see it that easily we could have had normal fights in WvW, no PvE noobs and to be honoust no freaking qeues.

I have waited yesterday for freaking 3 hours to get into at least 1 borderland… I am sorry to say this. Anet you failed us.

To FR server, blobbing is only because there are too many PvE noobs and you guys might have the same problem. Look at last week matchup. Such a close call. Both FR and FSP had great fights, equal numbers and more important no qeues so we could go anywhere we wanted.

To UW server, it’s a shame that you guys are not part of this matchup. It is now only FR vs FSP. Too bad in my opinion. Anet it might be an idea to just delete UW server from the WvW server list?
