LOL – my post about how pll hacks in gw2 was deleted and i get a infraction point!
Really great politics here
Its someting like- we cannot tell here that we see some pll heats and inform other players what it can be or what it was- becose this is wrong.
We always can use google
And You great dev shal focus on detection and ban all players using hacks becose it looks like in last few weeks this problem is slowly increasing in Your game
Noting more to say here.

…something new is being used/absused.
Occam’s Razor, I think. If there’s a penalty for something, people will find a way around it. With the shear amount of hacks and number of hackers we have running freely around the game, it would not surprise me whatsoever that we keep getting more, new hacks/ways to get around the system because the people doing it know nobody’s answering the phone at Anet anymore. It’s open season with the way things are now.
I think they should either be blocked from entering WvW for 10 mins or be transformed into a chicken for 15 mins, (timers start when you try and enter WvW.
Chicken Life (15 mins) You have been deemed a chicken and must live the life of one.
During this time, you have no control over your character as you live the life of a chicken. If you die you turn into a roast chicken, providing the enemy with a feast before respawning. If you chicken out of this chicken mode, 10 mins is added to the time. If you Alt+F4 while in combat within 6 hours of your last punishment, all time is added up (15+10+15 mins).

For a long time people said things like:
“WvW is going to die”
“something needs to change”
“this is not working”
“servers are dying”
etc
Those people were met with “everything is fine” and/or “why do people keep complaining”. All of those “complainers” warned those people that when the complaining stops, that is the time to really worry.
Well guess what?
Taking back the other keeps is also easy…take the reactor, throw down a couple rams…might be slower but just as straight-forward.
Badlands is almost always outnumbered (not always with the “buff” though), which seems odd as the same number of servers have access to each side as far as I know. I guess it’s the fact that it’s not only the higher 3rd ranked servers (per tier), but the lower bracket ones too.
The regular WvW maps are a bit more balanced though; Red Keep in EBG is far more defensible than the other two Keeps. Plus, it’s a game, the devs don’t want to make the sides so unfair that it discourages players to actually play the game. But that’s what they’ve done in EotM.

True, but when a kitten just want to be scratched, it doesnt matter if its from a hand or rubbing against a stool.
I hope this isn’t against TOS but I need to share it.
Got a warning today for bumping the Mesmer Bug list thread.

I’ve bumped several times with no warning or issues before in the past but it looks like the Devs/Mods are not happy with us not being happy about Mesmer anymore. With our recent outcry about the recent patch instead of talking to us about what’s going on they’re trying to cut us down.
Sure enough the Mesmer bug list has dropped off the front page and will be even more difficult to keep it front page if we can no longer just bump a thread.
Guess that’s a good way to keep us quiet..
I’m done trying to work with Mesmer anymore at this point. Since game release it’s been nothing but downhill for Mesmer. Nerf after bug after nerf and I can’t take it anymore. This game hasn’t been fun anymore, every release patch I’m worried what they did to screw up Mesmer this time.
Although I’m not well known or that active in the community it’s been tons of fun watching the community grow and come together to make what little builds we have now. It’s also been unfortunate to watch all the well known Mesmers drop one by one for the same reasons I’m leaving.
Good luck guys and I only hope best for the Mesmer class.

I’m a massive fan of Osho, I stumbled upon this quote:
“With me, illusions are bound to be shattered. I am here to shatter all illusions. Yes, it will irritate you, it will annoy you – that’s my way of functioning and working. I will sabotage you from your very roots! Unless you are totally destroyed as a mind, there is no hope for you.”
Seems to ring a bell hehe. Did Anet get inspiration from this possibly or just a coincidence?
I know this is PU discussion, but when roaming with a small group, I find being a blanket daze mesmer is so much more useful when roaming than any other build. Daze is completely overpowered to me, and the lockdown with a mesmer(asuran especially with blanket Technobabble) is terrific. I use Moa because it removes a target from the fight long enough for your party to lock down a called target covered with blanket dazes to ensure a kill especially if you follow the moa up with some fears.
I use mantra of recovery for the 0 cast time condi removals which often save me from immobilize set ups. I use sword main hand when roaming for i leap. Not for the immobilize or even the activate, but because it spawns a clone close enough to them often enough to get a quick diversion proc. It helps set up shatter combos without having the clones on dodge trait.
This build is all about setting up kills for your party, but it’s pretty effective at 1v1 too. Scepter/ Pistol is better than Staff to me simply for the on demand and consistant daze/ stun. It adds another melee ranged parry which is important for all thieves you’ll fight. I keep a staff in pocket too, but staff is mostly for chaos armor stacking and the RNG daze proc or standing in Chaos Storm against thieves. Removing boons with your diversion really helps to mitigate stability or protection nonsense and set up your party’s burst more effectively to help finish someone while you have someone else moa’d.
Change MoD for Arcane Thievery if you need to(mostly against Condi Thieves so you can swap their immob stacking and gtfo).
It stacks might pretty well with runes of traveller/ sigil of battle/ and interrupt might. So with full sigil of bloodlust, wvw bloodlust, guard stacks and might, you can be at around a comfortable 2800-2900 power with decent crit damage and tankiness. All the might stacking gives you decent condi damage as well which makes scepter not too terrible.

The issue with power PU is that you can’t do outnumbered fights. You’re completely reliant on your phantasms to do damage, and even in a 2v1 your phantasms will get killed instantly by your opponents (assuming your opponents aren’t completely horrid). That eliminates all of your offense.
On the other hand, PU condition builds work fine in outnumbered fights as they function by actually letting your clones get killed. Since roaming in wvw is basically just outnumbered fight after outnumbered fight, PU condition functions better.
Anet doesn’t care about WvW, It’s all about PvE and the gem store.
I hate you all
Not the class in particular, nor the individual players. Not even the community. What I hate is not being able to get inside your mind, collectively. I hate not being able to figure out what makes you tick. I hate having to fight based on the situation at hand, to have to adapt on the fly and use general tactics as opposed to specialized ones.
Usually whenever a class gives me issues in spvp, I’ll make a character of that class to learn the mechanics, timing, tricks, and tells. I’ll lurk on the class forums and learn their builds and take mental notes on what kind of players play these classes. It’s worked wonderfully, I might add.
Except for you.
For the life (or unlife) of me, I can’t figure out this class. When I have rolled a mesmer and taken it into the wide, wide world, I get a mud puddle stomped in my rear end only to have it get kicked dry. Stealth, distortion, shatter, confuse, pull, teleport— there’s so much thrown at you all at once and for this player at least, becomes overwhelming. Combat mechanics, timing, evasion— I just don’t get it. When I fight against a mesmer, I’ve about a 30-40% chance of picking the right “one” out of all the clones. When I play as one though, well… you’d think my opponent was duct-taped to me.
To make things worse, as the fight wages on, the more clones you make & the more the odds tip into your favor. I have to fight highly aggressively to stand a chance—something not easy for my main. Each loss against you is so bittersweet; each victory exhilarating.
So to you mesmers, I’ll say this: You bring out the best in me, and I can’t stand it. You’re the humbling reminder that you can’t plot every fight out, that you have to “go for it” and act reflexively. It takes a certain type of player to play this class, a type of player that is so fundamentally “not me”, that I can’t help but be amazed at how your mind must work. Any class well-played deserves respect. Mesmers, however, earn more from me.

Vulgarity is no substitution for wit.
You know, I don’t even think the devs were all on the same page when it came to whether or not this was a bug. What I think happened was that it was originally decided to be working fine and then somewhere along the line someone else decided it was a bug.
To those saying “look at the tooltip! it was clearly a bug” the tooltips are not the most reliable things to count on, and the devs don’t always realize what’s a bug and what’s not depending on the tooltip. For example…
There was some confusion regarding the malicious sorcery + Illusionist’s celerity. I made a mistake. To clear things up, using combinations such as Wardens Feedback and Illusionist’s celerity shouldn’t double reduce phantasm skill cooldowns. I thought that was regarding that issue but I see it was for a mainhand trait.
~posting from home, apologies.
Tyler, doubling up on cooldown traits has been a feature since the beginning of the game.
Respectfully, I believe you’re badly mistaken.
The dev had assumed that the 40% cooldown reduction was a bug because of it not reflecting in the tooltip. Luckily Pyro helped prevent it from getting “fixed.” The same argument here could’ve applied there. “Look at the tooltip, it was obviously a bug!”
If the devs actually played the class, they’d know what a big nerf this is and there’s a chance the tooltip would’ve just been changed to “Swap places with the clone’s last position” or they could’ve exercised a bit of foresight and creativity by realizing how badly this hurts the class and instead changing the skill to be something more like “Feigned Surge” (Spear 2 I believe) where you leap forward rather than the clone and then teleport BACKWARDS to your last position, applying the immob in an AoE where you used to be.
And to those who don’t think the nerf really changed anything… I’m sorry to say but no matter how long you’ve been playing, you weren’t using the sword to it’s fullest potential (though technically it also depends on what gametype you play). There were a lot of creative tricks you could pull off with the teleport; one of the best techniques, especially for a Mes using CI, was sending the clone out, F3 shattering it, and swapping in behind the daze.
If there’s any bug to the skill, it’s the stunbreak. I’d rather that have gotten fixed rather than the asinine clone swap “fix.”

However, Lanfear. The reason many consider the ILeap fix a net “nerf” is simple. Namely, that the base pathing mechanics of the skill have been wonky from word go. With that in mind, plus the recent change, the skill’s effectiveness (which was not epic, but was at least workable) has eaten a net decrease.
Then you also need to keep in mind the simmering disgust that existed prior to that patch. Hell, the class doesn’t have a bug list, it has a Bug-cyclopedia. And certain fixes/buffs that were promised last “balance” patch (Illusionary Elasticity working on clones, IWarden back to spec, and Triumphant Distortion without an ICD … just as a few examples) have never materialized.
I’m willing to wager, that if those things would have happened, you’d see less of a kitten-storm, RE: ILeap. /shrug
Other 80s: Any but Warrior
Update – July 1, 2014:
Illusionary Leap: Fixed a bug that allowed players to swap places with their clone after it was destroyed.
Oh, yes. Because this was SUCH a game breaking bug. Now, sword is less viable for mesmers. The skill we need to apply immobility for our blurred frenzy setup, you know- the one that summons the clone that constantly gets cleaved in both PvE and PvP, shattered, and AoE’d, is now dependent on the clone. Thanks, ANet. You guys really do know how to keep each profession viable in their own ways, since this is such a competitive game in PvP.
Mimic: Fixed a bug that caused the underwater channel for this skill to be shorter than the land channel.
Why? Why the constant differing between land and aquatic skills that aren’t even necessary? Who complained that the channeling for mimic was too long underwater? What is the point of this nerf? Someone, please, explain.
Spinning Revenge: Fixed an issue that caused the clone created by this skill to use a version of Siren’s Call that did not apply boons to allies.
Our one buff, kind of, and it’s for underwater combat. ’Cause you all know how much we love underwater combat.
Following the trend of these updates, I predict that there will be an update prohibiting entry in the Heart of the Mists as a mesmer, displaying “you are not as viable as any soldier profession, and are an extra leg in an engineer, warrior, and necromancer meta,” in bright, red, bold letters.
Honestly, my opinion on which classes are overpowered, are underpowered, or which ones are in the current meta are irrelevant. The fact remains that mesmer gets nerfed while all of the other professions get skill facts, other professions get proper scaling, and other professions have traits function with skills properly.
Instead of nerfing irrationally, can’t you bring a profession inline with others, so that each can be effective in its own way? Can someone please explain to me the point of nerfing mesmer so much? Is there some overpowered exploit with mesmers I’m not seeing?
For the love of God, stop nerfing mesmers. Anyone complaining about mesmers being overpowered has to have trouble targeting, or something.
TL;DR: Other professions get skill facts and scaling, and mesmers get nerfed because of reasons.

Plenty of people are angry and disillusioned with wvw. But what’s the point of expressing that? It won’t fix anything. Anet isn’t going to suddenly say “Wow, those folks are really mad! We need to do something about this!” Well they will but the “fix” will be in the form of forum infractions and bans.
I hope it atleast prevents some sales.
Despite the success of the game mode, WvW is not a priority for Anet. It never was.
For a good long while, WvW accounted for most of the forum activity for this game. Instead of shifting their priorities based on player preference, they just shut down that part of the forum. They abandoned a strong and loyal community, because they did not want to shift their priorities to accommodate that community.
That is why I’m not on here angry. Anet has lowered my expectations to the point where I don’t expect anything anymore. Living Story and sPvP is their focus, WvW is a side feature (like jumping puzzles).

I am in Gandara at the moment. The commanders are just playing PPT and when there’s a fight there’s like a 70 vs 70 man blob, FPS drops like hell, it is no fun.
Hey. Have gone to SFR, great server, great players. Want to get matched up versus Gandara asap. See you in the BL Dius =). Hopefully I’ll be “worthy” to face then, lol.
hmm.. Seems you lost sight of your original reasons for leaving.

The lack of an answer to your question…is the answer to your question.
This has been beaten to death. It was in an article AND when you go to transfer, it asks if you are sure that you want to and explains the penalty. You literally have to click the button to say “Yes, I know the penalty.” How much more clear can it be?
Are you kidding me….
It’s like every patch is another slap in the face. Illusionary Leap BUG?! You want to talk about Illusionary Leap BUGS and THAT’S what they ‘fixed’?
I didn’t even realize that was ‘broken’. It’s not the biggest deal ever, but I can certainly say it happened often enough that I appreciated it.
Sometimes it feels like they’re only willing to fix bugs if it’s to act as a nerf. Even the patch that was hyped as “we’re fixing bugs instead of buffing you because the bug fixes will act as buffs” april patch ended up as none-sense.
I mean, bug fix, that’s great and all but geez, mind hitting some of the bugs that we actually want fixed?
I demand Illusionary leap’s Clone be promoted to a higher HP due to how badly we just got kittened by arenanet :/
No offense, but this was heavily abused by mesmers especially in PVP. Now, I’m not saying they don’t need to be buffed but abusing bugs like this was clearly not the skill’s intention by anet, it was not meant to be a teleport to avoid damage , anybody who thought that is not thinking clearly. Higher hp would help and i agree it needs it, but even the pathing of the skill itself is horridly buggy, it just needs to be re-worked entirely. There’s a plethora of other kitten anet could fix too with the class in it’s entirety.
Lol abused? It was a feature with a high skill cap for use. Abused my left testicle.
A high skill cap? It was a BUGGED SKILL. What high skill cap are you referring to. It was a skill literally designed to immobilize your target into place to apply burst onto it. It was NEVER, EVER meant to be a consistent way to teleport away from damage and avoid burst, but since it was bugged it was used as such hence the fix. It is a nerf, but if people relied so much on a bugged skill then I don’t know what to say. It’s a nerf to people that heavily relied on a broken mechanic then I’m sorry , but that’s your loss. Now, moving onto positive fixes, make it’s pathing better, because right now when you use it , it’s wonky as kitten when you use on incline/decline areas and sometimes rubberbands when you leap. These need to be fixed please.
On the contrary. That functionality of the skill was often the only thing making it at all usable. Why do you think people are so annoyed? Having it disabled when the clone dies means it’s useless in PvE, useless in group wvw, useless in team fights for tpvp, and useless against an opponent that cleaves, because generally the clone dies in 1 hit. If this is truly how you think it was intended, I have nothing else to say to you.
Yep, I’m done with this game. Bye.
Well, these ‘fixes’ are just ludicrous. I wasn’t expecting any kind of serious bugfixing with this patch, but the fact that they’ve chosen to focus any capacity at all on these piffling non-issues (and one unambiguous nerf) when we have an expanding list of serious bugs is mind-boggling. I can’t begin to imagine the process that pushed these ‘fixes’ to the top of the list. Dev engagement regarding balance nose-dived this year and is currently some of the worst I’ve encountered in any MMO. It honestly feels like they just don’t care anymore, and it’s really putting me off the game.
