back in the day, Queensdale was definitely something else. :///

and sadly, lately i’ve been noticing a lot of trolling on Queensdale. people call events that are not up. for someone who’s new, they may not have a lot of gold to spare to WP around like that. and i don’t know which is worse, when people call out events or ask if there are events, people don’t link WPs or say stuff like “ever heard of wiki / google?” or say there is nothing going on (when there is), etc etc the list goes on.

and this, in addition to the massive farming, don’t help new players at all. well for the time being, what we can do is, i’ll say, is if you do happen to spot new players or who don’t seem like they know what they’re doing or are evident from map chat (if they’re not trolling themselves), take that extra step and give ’em a helping hand. show ’em around a bit and let them know not all maps in the game are like this.

and on that note, i do wish there was more incentive to hit up the mid-level maps so when new players get there, they won’t be empty either. all the goodies are at high level maps. but the low level maps are easy enough to complete from a time perspective. the middle, however, they’re stuck in limbo and the rewards don’t seem worth the investment.

Kind of have to agree. Max level farming in lowbie areas was already an issue before. From Dulfy it looks like most of the new skins drop from Queensdale champions and that has just made it much much worse.

I suggest anyone that doesn’t think this is an inconvenience to low level alts or new players roll a human character and try to play through your home zone. You will most literally not be able to participate in anything.

Now people know I’m not really one to call foul on much that’s not contained to RNG cash-shop shenanigans, but this is pretty broken. 80s have the entire game available to them. Levels 1-15 only have four zones and those are tied to their personal story.

Unless this was done intentionally for some strange reason, those skins should be yanked from the baby champ’s loot tables. The level 15+ areas would probably be ok. At least in those zones everyone across the board has some levels, skill points and a few traits behind them so it’s easier for everyone to be able to contribute and get credit.

You’ve been playing, or at least posting, for a very long time and not only are you leveling MULTIPLE of the same race (and the race with one of the worst storylines in the game I might add) they’re all under level 10? That alone confuses me but it’s mostly irrelevant…

Getting past the first zone doesn’t take more than an hour or so. Your only complaint is because people are doing events. Why does that matter? I’m actually, genuinely, confused. They do them before you can get there is the only complaint I can see. That’s not exactly a reasonable..well..reasoning… If anything you should be happy. With people doing events that means you actually can do them too. Just when someone calls them out, get there as soon as they do. Then yay you win. Or just do what they do and keep the timers open so you’ll know when they’re going to pop. I’m sorry that you’re too slow for an event but I can’t really side with you on this.

Now keep in mind, I don’t disagree entirely. I’d like to see more people in Orr (back in october there was always a big wave of people. Ran through the area on my new level 80 just tonight and I saw 4 people total) or similar locations so I can actually get stuff done. Having near every possible way point that has the ability to be contested, be contested 24/7, is really annoying.

But you’re being silly at best.

I have 22 characters and my girlfriend recently got back into the game and wanted to level some alts up with me. So I decided to play some of my other characters. I have 5 other 80s and that’s because my “main” has about 90% of the total game time on my account so I don’t usually level alts.

This has nothing to do with me though there’s a big problem with the way these champions are designed. They die WAY too fast, spawn way too quickly, and cause a massive flock of level 80s to do nothing but camp Queensdale all day.

Imagine new players being told to go to other zones because “its time for the big level 80s” to farm the events. When a level appropriate player can’t get credit for events (if they even make it there) there’s a problem.

The champion farm in Queensdale is a bit crazy. What’s most crazy about it is how poorly these champions scale up with the amount of players involved. These champions die just as fast as veterans. If there’s one thing I’d see changed, it’s making these champions scale up in health a lot more just so there’s more time for players to move to the event once it starts.

Why does a (completely intended) part of the game need to be nerfed just because of what you want?

Actually, not having this kind of thing was stated to be one of the reasons behind the level downscalling system – so high level characters wouldn’t be able to go to low level zones and stomp through events so easily that those of the proper level would be unable to participate.

Looks like the system failed.

I’m not sure if Queensdale needs to change, so much as all the other maps need to have enough frequently-occurring event content with a similar level of rewards to make Queensdale no longer special. That would improve player distribution. A lot of higher level maps have nowhere near the amount and frequency of event content as the lower level maps do.

dood,e you should see the new crowds at Frostgorge AND Orr. i think there’s this one spot in Frostgorge that’s more efficient and lucrative than Queensdale. i usually only do Queensdale if i need Kryta kills or Group events/events. it’s a good thing they did. Queensdale train has been around for a while now, probably slightly exacerbated since the new loot introduced. but if i understand leveling correctly, and understand the Champ trains correctly, you will only really be missing out on the Champs in the zone. at least, i’ve rarely seen people farm other events (maybe the bandits morale oen they’ll do in between waiting for Champs).

now thinking back to how i leveled.. i did heart, i did SPs, i did exploration, vistas, and would try to hit up any event if it was around me. there is a ton to explore. if you’re planning to use Champs to level up, i personally, imho, don’t feel that’s the best way. might as well go craft and then go back and farm the Champs as an 80.

the longer a game has been out, the more people will fall into routine. like you said yourself, you’re too busy doing dungeons or fractals. queensdale champ runs are easy. people have fun in chat while waiting for champs to spawn. i don’t think it’s the best for a starter map though since there will be a lot of new players who choose human (WHY NOT NORN???) and may be overwhelmed, but i don’t think it’s called for to ask people to leave the area as well. you’re telling them off for how they want to play, so you can play how you want to play.

hmmm.

I have written here a couple of times. I have also sent some tickets in game.

Like alot of people here, my TP is broken. The buy button is greyed out and that means I cannot buy anything.

When trying to sell something, the game never founds my items.

This is making me loose ALOT of money AND not being able to gear myself with what I want. It has been like that since I bought the game in october. Any chance of getting something fix soon?

I’ve try stopping my anti-virus, being an admin (which I was already…), etc. Nothing works for more than 1 hour.

With all the people having the same issue, NCSOFT should be able to find out what is HAPPENING.

Any help here?
