oh best thing is smc outerwall. massive zerg infront of u and your autotargeting goes to every single destructable wall.

I had problems with targeting the great jungle worm, The target thingy is really up and i cant select it when i am near the boss so i use my tab to target… But targeting selects all the other mobs first, so its really stupid that targeting doesnt select real boss first that is targeted by everyone.
And they should lower the targeting thingy on the worm because its too high. People who fight in close combat they cant select it with mouse.
Also, on a class that has so little access to condition removal, having your iWarden running around or not attacking removes an all important source for anyone running focus. If the iWarden doesnt spin, the temporal curtain light field cant be landed on him for condition removal.
In this condition heavy meta we Mesmers need our iWardens working. Other classes can spam a single skill to remove conditions. We have to combo two long cd’s on a single offhand. The least you can do, Devs, is fix the thing immediately after breaking it. We are customers. Where is our service?
yeah exactly iwarden was my favorite phantasm. id worked perfectly and now its not doing anything. why not just revert the change?
also i think we are too much depending on ai mes should get more options to not use ai as much. in wvw ai is really bad and thats the reason why u dont need mesmers for anything else than veil.
the obstructed bugs are sooo annoying and i cant hit anything on walla, cant hit unbuilt oil can barely hit cannons, phantasms go into full cooldown after an los bug and then all the ai dies before u can shatter them. so we really dont have much left than the gs autoattack and maybe 1 berserker that hits a few targets and maybe chaosstorm. everything else is too slow, bugged or too weak.
so if ai is soo hard to fix then give us new skills that are aoe and deal dmg.
other classes have issues with ai too like necro has a ton of minion bugs and ranger pet is awful.

The saddest thing is that they never needed to try to “improve” the warden in the first place! It was fine as it was yet someone randomly felt the need to try to “improve” it, and now its broken for months?

Yep. And the disturbing bit is that the team supposedly was looking into this months ago. Apparently they decided it wasn’t worth fixing.
Agreed. This, plus the fact that focus swiftness doesn’t stack with any other swiftness has caused me to competely give up the focus until this is fixed.
After several months and many patches, this skill is still horridly bugged and absolutely needs a fix.
Very often the warden will spawn and then simply stare at the mob. This happens close to 50% of the time, seemingly more often in situations where you actually need the reflection.
Fix it please.
I’d say its probably more than 50%.
I’ve noticed if you have Wardens Feedback equipped the failure rate goes through the roof.
Also here is a video with a little less going on in it, I suppose I might get some video from an opponents point of view with 3 wardens chasing them around doing nothing in the spvp’s tomorrow.
You just, just in case there is somebody out there who wants to call this a visual bug or something asinine like that.

So about this fix thing….could we get a response please?
- An update into the progress since this was posted..
Hey folks,
Thank you for the reports — I will have the team look into this!
- Also any feedback from the devs on the moving vs stationary
*But really, regardless of any plans for iWarden, a rollback to the previously working order is needed. You should be fiddling with it testing side after that to get it working as you properly want it.
Its game-wide; friend got back online but couldnt even do anything. Looks like another waiting game. Off to …. facebook, lol…
The Warden, the problem doesn’t happen 100% of the time, but it is fairly frequent.
Another patch, another failure to fix this skill. Please stop breaking my class Anet.
Would really like to hear a dev response about this. Even if it’s just to say that there are reasons that they can’t work on these bugs, I’d like to hear them.
Harpies were my first guess, but wouldn’t largos also be possible? I feel largos kodan would make more sense than harpy kodan.
Noob question maybe but, could someone tell me what is a largo? Another race or another name for one of those?
Largos are an aquatic race. I only know of a handful of them. One terrorizes some Sylvari in Brisban Wildlands. One is part of the personal story. I think there are about three in the waters east of Mount Maelstrom.

and come on, Tyria is huge, get yourself out of LA or queensdale champion train ( i swear i never went to the said train. NEVER EVER. ) theres so much to do, here 12 things you can do while playing guild wars:
1st you can go to the mists, either SPVP or WVW.
2nd daily activities. have you ever tried keg brawl? its kittening cool, every time i join i have a blast.
3rd jumping puzzles, they’re challenging, they’re fun, sometimes the rewards arent as nice but, if you’re lucky enough you can catch a glimpse of a map from a different angle, and end up with a breathtaking view. ( come on, tyria is kittening beautiful, just hang around timberline for a while and you will see. )
4th Crafting. crafting is nice, gets you loads of gold and experience, AND its a mode you can even choose your rewards!
5th Exploration itself is amazing in guild wars. pick a map, go on walking around, talk to npcs, sit down on some settlements to just listen to their dialogs, or i dont know just chill around. its something i do often in wayfarer foothills, you know? The place with the termal fountains, i love hanging around that place.
6th dynamic events, go around the world, do any event that pops on your radar, they’re nice, give you gold karma and experience, sometimes even loot, besides its so kittening fun, i love jumping into dynamic events, pushing the centaurs back in kessex, or defending some fortress in fireheart rise. getting the hylek territory back in sparkfly
7th world bosses, i bet theres a ton of people like a guildie of mine who drive entire trains of world bosses now, they’re fun, nice, and give a good reward ( but SB, that one can be solo’ed )
8th dungeons/fractals, try to beat a dungeon. ok, i know nowdays we mostly run a dungeon but, get a day to just beat it the way it was designed to be. its so kittening fun! A friend of mine was doing something of a sort some weeks ago, i was with him, and let me tell what: WE HAD A BLAST!
9th Iddle chatting: yes, its fun, even in LA. sometimes i do that because i just feel very tired.
10th this is something stupid but i consider it a way of playing the game, Gathering resources. I do that from time to time, it involves exploring areas and finding a sweet spot with the right kind of mob and staying there killing them, or just roaming looking for nodes. OR EVEN BETTER theres a site that gives you the positions of the current nodes!
11th this is for the hardcore players, people that really like to FIND fun. Its called Self Challenge.
its like when i decide that im going to hunt karkas naked, for exemple.
i really do this kind of stuff, i end up learning more about my skills, my traits and other deep things from my current build/profession or character. without reading guides or stuff, since i like creating my solutions without help from the scrath.
12th Do the personal story, its really nice. even has some charming people like Tibalt. ( never forget )
i dont know whats wrong with the playerbase myself. why they whine so much? frankly i do think the marioboss is challenging, but shes not hard. its just requires some practice and a little bit of thinking. you cant expect yourself to be successful on the first try, we face challenges since the very moment we are born, we fail, we all failed many times but as we keep on trying, one day we beat the challenge and we get to feel the glory.
honestly, even if there werent any rewards involved, i would still love these contents. like with darksouls you dont really get rewards from bosses, you just have to bleed, to sweat, to cry, to feel the pain, but once you beat that boss and you go like extremely overcome with happiness and a sense of achievement thats electrifying, that was my reward, and believe or not GW2 has plenty of it.
thats my drug, thats what keeps me going on, can even make the pains of IRL go away.
its wonderful.
in the end, i want to thank Anet again for making such awesome game and for releasing content for us without asking for a single peny. Quality content, each 2 weeks (could be a month, i wouldnt mind. ) Without a single cost? and a game that has so many options? i paid 50 bucks in this game, and sometimes i even feel guilty about it.
PS: bring the endless spinning glith back
i know it was a bug but it was awesome. BEST.BUG.EVER
long post, i’ll need to double post some times.
First, thank you Anet for releasing GW2. you dont know how important this little world has been on my life since i started playing.
Second: i’ve been around the LW content, i am very pleased with everything, aside the fact that i really hate scarlet and want to kill her ( hint here: make it possible
! ), im a PVE player, yeah… and i like it. Now, lets move on about what i’ve been reading here on the forums.
i must say, stop crying people! get yourselves together, learn your professions better, get ready to face the problem, stop denying and putting the guilt on the dev’s back! they made some awesome content, from wurm to marionette. if everyone try to look at stuff from other angles, im sure you can beat any challenge, isnt life itself about it? facing challenges and growing better to face more challenges? getting better at the game is a reward itself! you’ll see that as soon as your skill get better you’ll be taking on group events alone even! aw, come on, how amazing is that?
besides the fact that guild wars 2 came to existence as it is, because people looked at MMOs from another POV, have you ever watched the Anet manifesto about MMOs?
I won’t “demonize” the devs, but I will continue to reiterate what I’ve said since the start of this event: when you create a game that caters to casual players, and then put a much more difficult event in an open area with little or no instruction or training for how to complete it, what you get is the conflict and acrimony and bad will we see surrounding this event.
As much potential as the marionette fight has, it is ruined by being poorly tuned for the game in which it resides. If they want to get people used to more difficult content, it should be done gradually, not by throwing people into the deep end and then watching as the few who know best how to swim hurl insults at the ones who are drowning.
And the broken overflow system just makes it worse, because you end up with strangers from different servers who apparently feel more comfortable hurling abuse at people they don’t know.
At first I thought it was sad that this was temporary content. Now even though I enjoy doing it myself — since I now just accept an 80%+ failure rate and focus on getting code drops — I’m glad it’s going away in a few weeks. I hope something like it never returns until the problems are resolved.
Just block and report the bashers. They bring down the whole moral of the fight. Yes, so does failing a chain, but these guys are worse.
I think some people just take more time to learn, but it is happening! I’ve been succeeding at this fight more consisting lately. It’s like a switch was finally thrown and people are understanding it.
My home server is very negative so I guest just to get into an overflow at least. My home server never seems to win and I guess nobody wants to do it anymore. I’ve been in countless overflows where people keep up moral and explain tactics very well. It’s a much better experience.
Some people just won’t be patient and truthfully, some players don’t want to learn tactics either, but that doesn’t mean you have to bring the moral of the entire group down. When you bash everyone in mapchat, you’re bashing the people who honestly were trying too.
My advice to everyone else is to just block these people and report them if it warrants that. You’ll have a much better experience.
I love the Marionette fight and especially that it doesn’t automatically succeed like some of the existing world bosses. To me, the possibility that it can fail (and even if you did your own part flawlessly) makes actually winning far more exciting!
Pointing fingers at everyone but yourself – and repeating how you can do it blindfolded with one hand behind your back – the moment even a single lane fails is easy, keeping your calm and encouraging your fellow players even in the face of adversity is a far healthier mentality. Hard fought battles are the most satisfying victory!
I’ll take fights like this over the “just hit it for 15 minutes” Shatterer any day.
*facepalm*
After reading one too many posts insulting players for failures, Ceridwen finally loses it. You have been warned.
Who’s responsible for an event (specifically the marionette) failing?
I’m responsible, you’re responsible, we’re ALL sodding responsible. Yes, everyone taking part is at fault. Co-operation is the nature of this event.
Why are we all to blame?
There are several reasons, which include but are not limited to, the following (mentally tick the one which most applies to you, or tick all that apply if you feel you are deserving of more):
*Assuming people have played the content before, that each and every one knows exactly what to do at all times. Because they must have and must do, because you do!
*Assuming you have no part in educating the people on your run with exactly what to do. Your failure to communicate your knowledge has grossly let your side down. Give yourself a pat on the back for your non-contribution! Excellent.
*Assuming that it’s okay to insult and belittle people in-game and on forums when there are failures. You lower morale, and in doing so, set yourself and others up for future failures. Well played, you.
*Assuming every player has a maxed-out character taking part, just because your own character is!
*You think everyone should have the event down perfectly after one or two attempts because you have? If you think they should, well done! That’s another assumption and you are clearly a professional. Someone should be paying you for your time.
*Yes, players who fail may well be at fault too, but immediately shifting blame when you DO NOT know exactly why things happened the way they did is lazy reactive thinking. I say thinking; I probably shouldn’t because that doesn’t appear to be involved in the process at all. Assumption!
*Of course, all of that said, turning up and not knowing the minutiae isn’t a crime. Asking isn’t a crime, and it’s better than keeping quiet and contributing to the failure. If this is you, there’s plenty of help and guides now available, so do your best to get stuck in. If you still fail, try to identify what YOU did that was wrong, and arm yourself with better knowledge for next time. That is, if the people from the above reasons don’t make you want to kill yourself or drown kittens instead.
Enough reasons, I need to go and put the kettle on. But to sum up:
Why on earth do you think it’s acceptable to berate other people? How does this make the experience better? Do you feel better for it? Is your life that terrible that’s what you need to do to feel good about yourself? If so, that’s why events will fail. Well done, you.
Owning up to responsibilities probably shouldn’t happen in an online game, but here’s a learning opportunity for all.
*sigh*
*goes to kettle*
*awaits flames... but not from kettle*
The acrimony and growth in hostility was inevitable at the design stage… challenging content only works with a set group in a controlled environment where you can work together to improve. It doesn’t suit a public encounter with a shifting cast in a casual game.
Plus the more hardcore will finish off their achievements and move on (they’re goal oriented after all) causing the event to either be abandoned or the skill level to drop.
That is an ideal state. Unfortunately, there will always be players who is playing the event for the first time, have insufficient ability, crappy load time or various other reasons. The uneven distribution of players doesn’t help either.
The marionette event would have been fine if Anet had allow people who finished their platforms to help out on the other platforms.
Ultimately, the acidic environment is a result of Anet fight design decisions.
I probably prefer more towards what everyone calls a “casual content”. It is easy to do. It makes me happy. That simple.
My numbers from /age is so large that I don’t think anyone would call me a casual player.
I also enjoy the content that requires skillful play. Not all thought.
At first, I thought the marionette fight is actually decent, but after that I have encountered numerous failing. It just frustrated me to the bone and I Alt+F4 the game to cool my head down. I went over duly’s guide over and over and swear that I will beat those wardens. Yeah, the group and I did it on the platform, but all I see is other platforms wiped. Welp, nothing I can do…………….
The new designed encounter thought better than Tequatl, it still has plenty of flaws.
You can’t exactly call every players that made a mistake a bad or casual players. Many are hardcore players as well. Why do they whine like you guys then? Because they did their part at the best, but others failed their part, which are being labeled bad/casual players. You guys basically just insulted your family.
It’s not even any player’s fault anyway.
Please don’t blame other players, they are as angry as you guys too.
On the other hand, I’m still disappointed with the content designer. I think everyone should focus your anger at the platform encounter. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. “The disability to help other players…..” I thought this was an effort of the whole server. NO, actually we are counting on the few individuals to do the work. Oh and sickness debuff lol what a joke.
There will always be people who are pro, who are good, who are not good, who are…well…bad.
Yeah, the feeling of helpless sums up this update for me.
I’m also turning into a casual player due to the continuous disappointment.
Again, please don’t blame other players, they are as angry as you guys too. No one expected this kind of unforgiving content.
Asking because we’ve seen too many cool content ripped from the game after it’s “Living World time” was over, and it would be nice to be allowed to visit this place anytime in the future, like visiting a part of our history a half year from now.
For those who join Guild Wars 2 later, it would be aviable by invitation of a friend who unlocked it in the past. The chests themselves would stay, but of course all the sources of newly generated / dropped keys would be gone as it should be.
I’m just curious, because ANet has a strange taste when it comes to “remove what and keep what”, like the Toxic Offshoots still REspawning after the alliance and their tower destroyed – this is just my opinion but those really break the design of each region they spawn in, and those were expected to be removed (noone cares about them now anyway), and while I do not expect the secret lair to be removed… I’m worried about it will get removed.
Took a while but i think i finally understand what went through the developer’s mind when he created that code in scarlet’s lair. It’s a pretty interesting message and i think it gives us clues about a possible expansion:
Ugh..like we haven’t had enough with Scarlet and her clockwork minions yet. Does she have to get involved in every little thing that happens in Tyria??
…laughs on her though, I think the crab gets the credit for the photobomb
Any character you click on is turned the same way as the last one you clicked on. All of the listed issues in the OP aren’t bugs, afaik, since they never were things we could do to the best of my recollection. This might do better in Suggestions asking for those features.
Clearly Arenanet don’t care about players gaming experience since this message spam being around for months now and forum community is just joke to some

I wasn’t looking for help here. I was trying to make a statement:It is plain WRONG to flash player message every 30 seconds. Doesn’t matter they have item with or without stats!
We’re trying to make a statement as well: ANet is caring for its players and even knows how many players still don’t have their trait points set, and this is the precise reason why they flash this message: because no one would want to underperform every day of their game because of a single accidentally clicked away reminder.
I’m trying not to be rude, but equipping an item with no stats selected is not only absurd but also harmful to other players in open-world events like Marionette, Wurm and Tequatl. Misquoting your own message, “it is plain WRONG to equip an item which does nothing” (:
