This bug is very minor, but very annoying. I have noticed the trees many times now.

Runes of blank

So I’m sure this was brought up before…. But it’s still not fixed.

Dungeon runes, whether you get them from the dungeon in the chests or if you forge them, they are soul bound, rather than account bound. This is annoying because if for some reason you get a rune you would use, you likely would not get it on the character you could use it on.

For instance, I would never do a dungeon on a character than didn’t have all of its proper runes or gear.

Also, being soul bound the second they are forged just seems a little off. What is the point?

Thoughts ?

And before you say it I’m sure there’s a way to make the soul bound runes account bound through transmuting. But that just seems like a waste to me!

Stuck in the map or seeing map art issues?

In the Black Citadel, just north of the Plaza of Remembrance point of interest, I always get map elements that disappear if I rotate my camera around my character.

First pic: Normal map.

Second pic: Rotated a bit to the left (move camera to the right)

Third pic: Continue to rotate in the same direction as second pic.

In the third picture, you can actually see the icons for the BLTP, but not the building! Very strange behavior.

Make minis more desirable

Good post.
Suprisingly for a game about cosmetics (horizontal progression), this game has very few updated supporting the idea. Most of the interesting stuff is added to the gem store. It is fine if they add stuff to the gem store, since they make money that way, but there is very little cosmetic progression available by ingame means. Too many people look similar (excluding the dye choices) ingame because there is so little varity.

So I am an avid miniature collector, but often get annoyed by the hassle it is to use them (invisible bag required, reactivate after every zoning and death). I thought a little to make them more desireable for everyone and in return also increasing your gemshop sales for them.

1. Add a new tab to the hero menu. There you could dedicate your miniatures to your account (permanently removing it from the inventory in process). In the menu you can select a dedicated miniature for automatical use whenever possible.
2. Rename title “Miniature Collector” to “Miniature Collector of set Alpha” and add the title ""Miniature Collector of the set Beta" to the achievement track for the 2nd set (it currently has none).
3. Add a new infinite title track which rewards lets say 5 AP per dedicated miniature (each miniature can only be dedicated once per account). It should have no cap since there is only a finite amount of unique miniatures —> people will keep having an incentive to get or buy all new miniatures even if its just for the AP.
3.1. Add unique titles to this infinite achievement track.
e.g.:
Beginner Miniature Collector – Dedicate 10 Miniatures
Experienced Miniature Collector – Dedicate 50 Miniatures
Respected Miniature Collector – Dedicate 100 Miniatures
Acclaimed Miniature Collector – Dedicate 200 Miniatures
Heralded Miniature Collector – Dedicate 350 Miniatures
God of Miniatures – Dedicate 500 Miniatures
4. Add minigames where you can make use of dedicated miniatures such as miniature arena or polymock.
4.1. Miniature Arena should have a daily rotation of game modes: Death Match, Team Death Match, King of the Hill, Domination, Everyone against Everyone.
During the match you will be turned into your choosen miniature. Each miniature should have 5 skills and the strength of the miniature should mainly depend on its quality level (white to exotic). Rewards for playing: achievements, tokens for miniatures exclusive to the minigame.
4.2. Polymock similar to GW1
5. Make all miniatures tradeable. It seems pointless to me to make collectors items account bound.
6. Turn Mini Rytlock to Rare quality, like the other destiny edge miniatures.
7. Add ascended miniatures (eg. dragon champions like tequatl --> promote Tequatl from exotic to ascended), add legendary miniatures (special creatures like Zhaitan)

Feel free to suggest improvement or additions.

I like this suggestion. There are many things that could be added to the game that will give people something fun to do and a reason to log in and play. They have put all their eggs in the living story basket, which is a bad idea.

I love your suggestion. I collected mini’s in gw1 and even maxed out the hall of fame for that part. I’ve played much less attention to them here. Your suggestions would change that.

What needs to happen is alternative pursuits should be added to the game.

1. Your miniature suggestions or a variation of that. This is well thought out and looks fun to me.

2. A wardrobe that will store armor and weapon looks (per character or per account, I don’t care). That will give me the fun task of collecting more armor and weapons to get ALL the looks in game, even the looks I don’t like. :P

3. For rangers – more pets. It was fun searching out all the pets. More could be added, not for their skills but for their looks. Some should be hard to get due to where they are or what you have to fight to get to them.

4. Housing and trophies to put in there, other decorations.

In and of themselves these are all fluff suggestions. But for many people, this will keep them playing. We need things to do other than farm and tick off achievements.

It’s a kitten conspiracy. Kittens gonna be kittens. All is vain!

Audio issues since 11/26 patch

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Electro.4173

Noticed a couple different issues with different parts of the audio since the latest patch.

~ There is no longer any sound effect made when you sheath your weapons. You still get a sound when you ready / unsheath them, but none when sheathing them oddly. Minor issue, but a bug none the less.

~ Some enemies seem to be playing their sound cues late or not at all.

I’ve been running through Southsun Cove regularly over the past few weeks to make some extra money on resources, so I’ve gotten pretty used to some of the sound cues the enemies make when they attack. Stuff like the Young Karka making a screeching noise before they launch their water projectile barrage, or the Veteran / Champion Karka making a swooshing noise when they jump for their stomp attack (not the sound they make when they land because by then its too late, but rather the sound they make when they first jump). Sounds like those are pretty important for properly dodging their attacks as you go past. If I run close to a Young Karka and hear the screech, I know I need to dodge incoming projectiles.

But since the recent patch, I’ve been taking a lot of projectile hits before I ever hear the screech from Young Karka, and sometimes it never happens at all. Ditto with the Vet / Champ jump sound effect, sometimes I’ll get hit (and in the case of the Champ, downed and likely killed) before I ever hear the sound cue that I’ve been using to dodge.

Other times it works as it should, so that leads me to suspect its a bug and not an intended change.

Human female running animation possible fix

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Ashariel.8490

Now I know, the topic has been brought up many times since the change, but today I found out the “old” running animation is actually still in the game.

Perhaps, Anet, since the animation is still the akward looking one since the update, you didn’t found out wth people were talking about.

Turns out, when the human female character is running while in combat whith her weapon(s) sheated, the old (better) animation plays, but as soon as the character goes out of combat, the animation unexplicably changes to the new one, the arms go farther apart from the body, and swing back and forth farther, leaving that unnatural look.

Might be a good idea to check it out, and hopefully change it back to how it was.

Phantasmal Warden bugs post patch.

I understand that Phantasmal Warden has been updated to move into attack range before initiating its attack, but this has brought with it two bugs:

1) Phantasmal Warden often does not attack structures such as catapults, keep/tower doors in WvW or cages/doors in PvE. It spawns next to the structure but does not attack.

2) When spawning next to a target (which is stationary) Phantasmal Warden will often have a delay before it initiates its attack or simply not attack at all (as seen in video below).

Pace of new content - TOO FAST

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I have to drop in my toughts on this
ArenaNet after finishing the in my opinion best living story being Flame and Frost
that was 3 months long and every one had time to get they’re rewards titles and even play the original content of the game like personals story exploring the maps or even just fool around whit buddies .
Then the living story went to 1 month each gave us one great the Secret of Shoutshun.
Then ArenaNet decided to take some wonder drug and amp up they’re work to light speed . The negatives of the speed of the content being produced major updates still are just once a month the second update in the month can go by as patch work but it seems major because the speed you have to complete the tasks is to rough and the longer this goes the more difficult the content is.
Writing on some of them reminds me of the writing a trained personal assistant monkey does.
From the two week event period only one i can praise in my personal opinion was Bazaar of the four winds the rest is more or less rushed garbage
There is to much to do whit to little time this game became a monster a time eating monster that kills causal play and it is totally hostile towards new players
I asking my self how could this be done by any one who joined a few weeks ago and is lvl 40 on his first character referring to Chaos clock work or how can this be completed in two weeks by some one who can only play 2 hours a day ?
The invasions took 45 minutes and were so randomly cycled some of them did not show up day or two .
And we are all somewhat greedy so we want to play the most rewarding content .
and sadly this is the way ArenaNet is luring us in to this ever time killing content that is just rewarding us whit shinnies and we like skritt follow them .
Why would you be doing temple events when there is no one doing them whit why would you go explore empty maps why would you play personal story when there is no one to play whit ?
Closing thoughts :
1. ArenaNet needs to slow down
2. The new content has to be Casual player friendly ,
3. The new content has to be Beginner player friendly
4. We want time to play original game content too
5. Stop adding new quality items “Ascended” to the game cause it ruins the purpose of Exotics and kills crafting and makes dungeons purposeless
6. Fix Bugs
7. Fix Bugs
8. Test the patched before release ( I don’t want to loose progress on monthly cause you decided to mess up )
9. Give the writers more to write ( Scarlet is dumb written cause it is so rushed ! And if you are lazy then just say the villain is evil cause he is evil ! it is more believable )
10. Fix the Armors and gear so it fits the races ( Sick and tired that all armor expect of the cultural is fit only to human ! To many tails and ears and horns were cut of by lazy design )
11. Fix Bugs
12. Guild content make it friendly to small guild even when it will be less rewarding ( your decision made small and friendly guilds pointless )
13. We want the world to expand permanent
14. And Quit driving gems up the sky heights not every one playing this game can afford to buy gem cards or gems by money
15. Make living story and original game content equivalently rewarding
16. Fix Bugs
17. For love of guild wars optimize Lions arch ( even whit some high end PCs it still lags )
18. Listen to the feed bag
19. Quit bribing gamer pages to praise you to the heavenly skies
20. Listen to the feed bag
21. Fix bugs faster

I am sorry for my English grammar

I’m probably in the minority, but I simply despise new content coming every two weeks. I didn’t even like when they were monthly changes, but at least I could kind of keep up. But, this every other week stuff is garbage.

I barely have time to get even some of the achievements, and certainly no time at all to spend the trophies I collected. And then, poof, they’re gone, along with any possible method of using them. And I have 3 more slots filled with what is probably garbage (but I can never know whether that’s true or not, can I?).

SLOW DOWN! Or at least slow down the endings. Giving us only 2 weeks to complete two whole achievement categories is absurd. It’s simply not fun any more.

Don’t get me wrong: The content is great. You guys are doing a marvelous job at content-creation. But, there’s simply no way to enjoy going through it all. I like to savor my games. I want to play some things more than once, to see what I missed. But, when there’s only 2 weeks to get it done and it takes the whole 2 weeks, there’s no room for savoring the game. Heck, some day I even want to try out PvP. But, at the pace new content comes out, there’s no chance.

I agree with this 100%. I work about 48+ hours per week and i have just enough time to finish 1/2 Achievement categories. I have like no time to try anything else since the content will be gone FOREVER since it’s never permanent. I really liked this game but the past year the decisions have been god awful and different then what i expected. I may give the game another month but if i feel like im falling behind i simply just will stop playing.

I was able to keep up and i loved it but now i feel like im the turtle in a rabbit race

Frustrated by Queensdale champ loot train

in Queen's Jubilee

Posted by: TehPwnerer.7215

TehPwnerer.7215

This Queensdale champion loot train needs to stop. Since the update, level 80s flock Queensdale all day and night and own the events in less than 20 seconds. It’s making it extremely difficult to level up in these zones when none of the events are doable because level 80s steam roll them before you can even get there.

I’ve been called a troll all night for requesting the level 80s to go somewhere more appropriate for them since I can’t go anywhere. “Go to other starter zones to level!” “Go to another zone!” “Craft!”

So because I’m leveling human characters all of which are under level 10, I now can’t do any of the Queensdale events because Anet has made them so appealing for level 80s to farm.

The people calling me a troll tell me that they log on and kill the champions all day – that’s all they do. Because it’s more profitable and easier than doing stuff like Orr or Frostgorge event farming.

So why does Orr keep getting nerfed but places like Queensdale have champions spawning every 3 minutes? Why do level 80 zones feel the need to populate ONLY QUEENSDALE (none of the other starters have this many convenient and this number of champions)??

Something needs to be done to motivate players to populate more maps in the game world – not just have everyone flock to Queensdale 24/7 to farm champions. Usually I’m doing dungeons or fractals with the guild to notice this but even at launch it wasn’t this bad.

Please tell me there’s a better way.
