There was some confusion regarding the malicious sorcery + Illusionist’s celerity. I made a mistake. To clear things up, using combinations such as Wardens Feedback and Illusionist’s celerity shouldn’t double reduce phantasm skill cooldowns. I thought that was regarding that issue but I see it was for a mainhand trait.
~posting from home, apologies.

Tyler, doubling up on cooldown traits has been a feature since the beginning of the game.
Respectfully, I believe you’re badly mistaken.
I could be getting confused. This release has my brain on overload. I would think all the tooltips can’t comprehend double cooldown reduction in that case. So that being said, the stated cooldowns might all be incorrect in those circumstances but the recharges will still function at their correct values.

That is the case. The tooltips do not function with both cooldown reducers, but the actual cooldown ends up at a 40% reduction.
Thanks for the hard work you put into the releases though Tyler, and I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we really appreciate the communication you’ve given us.
1. Fixed
2. Fixed feature build
3. Complicated, technically terrain related bugs. All classes have this issue to some extent.
4. Working as intended. Good topic for debate on changing in the future.
5. Deceptive evasion clones attack closest target, otherwise no repro.
6. Fixed some while after feature build “logged”
7. Fixed feature build
8. Intended, same reason as los…Counter-play.
9. Intended, follows standardized shadowstepping rules. No repro otherwise.
10. Fixed some while after feature build “logged”
11. Fixed some while after feature build “logged”
12. Intended. Those skills bounce to allies and only grant the POSITIVE effects “boons” its not attached to reflect. (Trick: use your reflect to grant extra bounces
:D:D)
13. Fixed in feature build
14. Server-side, can’t fix at this time. “Lag related” Blame living world updates
15. Intended. This is how projectile/missile “tracking” works.
16. Fixed
17. Intended. All ranged and melee skills have a 15% buffer range to take account for tracking.
18. Fixed on feature build if not on live.
19/20 Intended. Shouldn’t be able to utilize both at the same time.
21. Globally intended. Buffer range.
22. Intended. Current trait system swaps to different versions of skills from traits, which can trigger weird recharge issues. Such as that one with glamour CD. I wanna say that bug is fixed in the feature build but it’s a weird repro.
23. Fixed some while after feature build “logged”
24. Some issues regarding this fixed in feature build
25. Intended
26. Fixed in feature build
27. Fixed in feature build
Hope that helps
That’s exactly what I am talking about!!! Anet makes caring for the community, explaining things to others or organising the headless masses a pain in the … oh wait hopefully I’m not getting forum-blocked for using swearwords.
The problem is: I don’t see any reason for these spam restrictions. There has been no excessive spamming or chat abuse ever in this game that would justify such harsh and “draconic” chat restrictions. They have been in place since release. And if you now say, those restrictions justify themselves by having almost no spam in the game, you are making it very, very easy for yourself.
The current anti spam system is in fact very effective, as effective as hunting a mosquito in your own bedroom with a flamethrower. I don’t understand how the programmers have not come up with an “intelligent” way of spamreduction, instead of counting just messages per minute. I could program such a spamblock, seriously…
Can everyone who reads this and agrees please /sign that something has to be changed with the spamblock system?
Hello, This bug has been there for a very long time. It happens under the following circustances.
-
0. During the whole process, the character is out of combat.
1. When none of my utility slots (#7/#8/#9) is equipped with Portal, I trigger one of those utility skill, for example, #7.
2. Now #7 is cooling down. The CD clock’s ticking.
3. Then I swap one of my the other two utility slots, both of which are not in CD, to Portal.
4. The portal abnormally goes into CD, with the same timer as the CD of the #7 utility skills.
-
Known Solution:
During step 3, swap one of the 2 unused utility to something else than portal, and then swap either of those 2 to Portal, then the bug does not occur.
However this is very annoying, time-consuming and inconvenient, when you find somethings wrong, trying react and adjust yourself to the situation before you’re forced to enter combat.
Thanks for spending time looking into this. I really hope this will get fixed.
p.s., Oh and, by the way, I heard that about 10 hours ago, 2 thieves just used some sort of bug/hack to ninja the waypointed Garrison in JQBL. I’d suggest you take this as your priority and make sure it will not happen again, especially before the second season starts. I don’t even want to imagine the wrath such thing could cause if it ever happen again during the season.
p.p.s., According to other sources, I’ve learned that the bug occurs the other way around as well, i.e., when you trigger your Portal twice, getting it into CD, and then swap one of the other 2 utility skills into something else, the swapped skill goes into CD with the same timer.

First of all…
I tried searching on the forum, and, to my surprise, I found nothing about this issue.
.. search on forum is broken, so I’m not surprised you haven’t found any other thread about this issue :P
It looks even sillier on the NPCs that are supposed to be sitting or lying down, and just stand there, cracking their neck, looking around, rubbing their hands.
Yes, it was first noted at Wayfarer Foothills and other Norn areas, NPCs supposed to be lying (like the Passed Out Warriors at Wayfarer) just stand still on place. I also have noted it with the new Living Story at the refugee camps at Gendarran, NPCs that are wounded and then supposed to be lying down are standing still, stretching out, rubbing hands, etc.
There is a thread about that Passed Out Warriors issue but, as I said above, I can’t find it now :P
It’s rather quite silly. It’s not game breaking, but it does make things simply look stupid. Instead of thinking “I’m helping these people”, the only thought that’s now present is “Oh, that looks stupid. The game doesn’t function how it’s supposed to. I wonder why they haven’t fixed it.”
So it’s no longer helping NPCs, but it’s pressing F until you get your experience. Immersion breaking.
Thanks guys all these issues that are bugs have been investigated and logged. Some of these will be seen fixed as soon as the feature build, others, awhile longer. Won’t have much time to continually update this thread but thanks for the visibility and persistence!
/thumbs up

This should definitely be a sticky. Today again I was fighting several champions, and the targeting system kept selecting the wrong target. Then I was fighting the Toxic Wurm Queen, and again it could select this enemy while it was right in front of me.
Lion’s Arch: Best +100-man dungeon raid ever.
On a side note, here are some good news for mesmers from other threads:
And, of course, there’s more non-performance/optimization related improvements well on the way that’ll increase the general experience and responsiveness of combat. An example would be Mesmer Illusions/Clones/Phantasms that unreliably attack their target – Warden, I’ve got my eye on you!
Mesmers are getting some nice stuff.
Stay tuned.
[enter class here] are getting some nice stuff.
Stay tuned.
someone really needs to make a Tshirt of all of these Anet responses XD
We cannot let this issue die…
I think that posts should be able to be voted for to make sticky…
Or maybe put the +1s to good use, and have the top 3 posts based on +1s are displayed at the top of the forum with the red posts….
Oh wait, what am I thinking, they cant even get the search function to work….
2 new things I remembered today:
Both underwater phantasm skills can be activated without a target, causing the skill to go on cooldown while doing nothing.
So, I went down to that underbelly where there are three capture points underneath where the aetherblades spawn. All three were controlled by OG, and I’m FR.
The first battle went as expected. But the second and third… the trolls would leap and hurl themselves… at Scarlet’s probes, then get hurled back.
They kept doing it, over and over. it was rather hysterical really….
Agreed. Or it will stay open in, for example, the type of item I want (weapon), blocking the drop down for the type of weapon I am looking for.
Agreed, it’s been acting quirky since the Escape From LA update.
When using the drop down menus in the TP filter, after selection the drop down opens back up.
This has been an absolute nightmare during the new LA event. There are so many mobs everywhere, which just makes it worse. 5-10 minutes to break combat (unless it decides to make itself permanent and require me jumping to my death to fix it), all the while trying to dodge mobs who will slap me and just make it worse, all so I can switch out a skill or use a waypoint.
And yes, it’s bad on my ranger, and also my main, which is an engineer and unfortunately requires some situational skill swaps or weapon swaps.
I haven’t noticed it being as bad on my casters or heavy classes, or my thief, but it’s certainly still prominent and annoying. It’s definitely grating on the ele since, like the engie, he does not have a natural weapon swap.
I get stuck in combat mode with my Guardian too. Usually after killing all of the enemies that I engage in an area, I will remain in combat mode. When this happens I can’t use waypoints.
This is very frustrating when it happens during a champion train. I do the champion train in Queensdale a lot and this bug of staying in combat mode happens to me a lot after killing the Champion Oak. Then I end up having to run far away avoiding aggro of other enemies to get out of combat mode so that I can waypoint. By that point I usually miss the next champion fight.
Anet please get this fixed. The mesmer community is becoming restless.
Also, please read this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/20-Mesmer-s-Bugged-Skills-and-Counting/first
After the recent Lion’s Arch living story patch, when you select a trading post filter dropdown (armor, weapon, etc..) and choose an item in it, the dropdown stays open instead of closing – you actually have to click away from it on a blank area to get it to close – the same for the subcategory filter.
I noticed this as well. I thought it was maybe my mouse double clicking, but it does indeed get stuck until you click a blank spot. Kind of annoying, but not unmanageable I guess.
I’m starting to hate this “love/hate” relationship that I have ywith GW and ArenaNet (more with Anet). You guys are really breaking my heart.
1. Backpack – scrw it I don’t even open my inventory that much.
2. Bugs with LA events – this is starting to kitten me off really badly. I finished twice each of the events (Lawson’s Marriner and All Bets Are Off) and I’m still at 14/15 stucked like a kitten cause the event didn’t count. Not cool.
3. Wurm achievement – this…this Anet is something that makes me wanna cry….I finished Wurm event twice as a whole event in the terms of slaying all 3 heads. Not to count how many heads itself I killed (around 10-15 I think)… and I’m STILL ! 0/3 in Wurmslayer. Now you are adding another achievement which is not counted towards meta, plus you’re changing Demolitionist, so that I’m no longer able to obtain already bugged achievements…seriously WTF ?
Not to metion that you guys delayed patch about 5 or 6 hours, still to get into bugged game. If you managed to fix bigger bugs, and those are “minor” ones I don’t really wanna now how incompetent and not ready were you about this patch…really…and what hurts the most it’s probably the fact that we won’t hear about those fixes in the mear future, so I can say goodbye to Wurm for even longer time and keep grinding my kitten off in LA…eh.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, or if it is just something my client is seeing after relogging a few times to confirm.
It seems like a Friendly Veteran Toxic Knight NPC is right next to the Asura Gate to the Lion’s Arc Event.
It seems like she stays there before and after the event.
This bug has been persisted since beta and really shouldn’t have!
I often find myself stuck in combat even after combat has finished, or I have escaped from a certain mob where they no longer have aggro on me.
At this point, it should be clear that without any aggro on me and if I’m not taking damage, I should be out of combat mode to regen etc. but this isn’t the case.
I’m most often frustrated by this in jumping puzzles, such as the aetherblade puzzle. I’ve found myself killing an entire mob and trying to move on through these puzzles and still being stuck in combat mode.
There NEEDS to be a timeout for combat mode if no “progress” is being made i.e. no damage, no aggro.
I can’t see why this has not yet been fixed as it’s such a frustrating bug.
Exactly the same problem for me.
It happens quite often, there are no more foes, i don’t have any conditions, and i have to run far, far, far away to get out of combat.
I can verify that this bug not only exists, but seems to get worse as time goes by. I run into this problem on all of my toons, but most especially the ranger. Between my pet attacking when I hit M to try and waypoint, and the “permacombat” I get stuck into, at times I have to run literally 1/2 way across the entire zone.
This is the main reason I got the Royal Pass. I can hit I for my inventory, and double click on the pass, and it often takes me to Divinity when I otherwise could not travel. The fact that this pass works when the game wont allow me to waypoint shows something is wrong with the game determining whether I am in combat or not. If the Pass says I’m not in combat(allowing me to travel), the Map should not show a red border, and say I cannot waypoint in combat.
Sure wish this would get fixed, but I’m not holding my breath.
Stuck in combat with no mobs around…..
Has happened to me alot since the last big patch. It is very frustrating.
And new LS threads has buried this one…
How has this happened?
lol, I just meant that due the flood of threads about bugs with the new LS, this thread had gone to page 5 or 6 of the category.
Well here’s hoping that more peeps reply to this thread and keep it firmly on the first page!
