I’ve got a bunch of friends in the order of whispers who owe me a few favours.

Exactly, cant we just arrange some kind of “accident” to get rid of him?

Seriously. My character would be having none of his attitude.
Braham: “Whoa! Put the axe away, boss! Look, I trust you to make the right decisions, but something about this doesn’t feel right.”
Phlunt: “I’m demanding another stipulation!”
fine, fine, kill Phlunt, we don’t need the asura to fight the elder dragons
To be more precice we need no other race to fight the dragons. Killing an ambassador is political suicide and I don’t think the other races would work with us when they see that we killed an ambassador.
Just because a member of the race X killed him, that doesn’t mean that it was on the orders of the given race’s government. It can be a personal quarrel
Nobody needs, to know. Now, Councilor Phlunt, this way please….
Hello, I was wondering if there is any updates relating to the issues you mentioned here, Gaile. I’d appreciate some information if you don’t mind.
Sadly, immobilize has been this way for as long as I can remember. If you get immobilized in midair while being focused it’s pretty much GG.
You cannot use any skills or perform any actions if immobilized while in midair.
For the toast!
Please tell me that the employees at Anet actually play their own game and realize just how broken this condition is.
If you are not standing completely still when it is applied, you risk the chance of basically going into a complete coma for the duration of this condition.
Midair immobilize is the worst, since its almost guaranteed vegetable time…. but sometimes holding down two directional keys or walking uphill when you get immobilized can cause the same effect.
You are completely unable to use any of your skills, (even instant-use condition removal skills such as shouts which should remove the condition).
Please oh please let this be fixed with tomorrow’s patch!
getting stiffer and stiffer.. need to stretch! but can’t.
Good morning! Oh I feel so stiff, how I wish I could stretch, but some odd reason I do not seem to be able to!
Four-Step Program to remove content from a game.
Step One: Remove specific content from the game without warning.
Step Two: Wait until people start to talk about it then call it a bug.
Step Three: Put another bug file in the “not a priority” folder.
Step Four: Wait some more and people will forget all about it.
Congratulations! You have successfully taken content out of the game and screwed over many customers without them even realizing it once again! Buy yourself a beer, ANet. You’ve done a great job perfecting this avoidance policy.
Maybe destroying idle animations is part of the new player experience! Hello new players!! Please don’t be distracted by movement.
Hello I am a level 80 Ranger at the time of this bug. I just did all the personal story quests at levels 70 , which is as follows in chronological order; ‘Forging the Pact’, ‘Battle for Fort Trinity’, ‘Against the Corruption’, ’Romke’s Final Voyage’ and ‘The Source of Orr’. Proceeding the completion of ‘The Source of Orr’ I went on to do the level 80 Personal Story, which is as follows in chronological order; ‘Temple of the Forgotten God’, ‘Close the Eye’, ‘What the Eye Beholds’, ‘Starving the Beast’, ‘A Grisly Shipment’, ‘Further Into Orr’, ‘Stealing Light’, ‘Conscript of the Dead Ships’, ‘Ships of the Line’. Upon completing these quests my next objective in my Personal Story was to go to ‘Against the Corruption’ which, if you recall, is a level 70 Personal Story mission. I then had to complete the rest of said Chapter, chapter 7 in my story, to get ‘Victory or Death’ the proper level 80 Personal Story mission. I did not go from – " ‘Blast from the Past’ progresses to ‘Victory or Death’ if you’ve already done ‘Against the Corruption’. ” As you stated Content Designer, Jeffery Vaughn. Please test this out before you condemn the players insight, you do have to repeat steps. The following have to be repeated: ‘Against the Corruption’, ’Romke’s Final Voyage’ (one of two choices), ‘The Source of Orr’. Then and only then was I able to continue to Victory or Death. The mission ‘Blast from the Past’ does not exist in ‘My Story’ Chapter 8.

So in other words I have to re due the chapter 7 story quest again and then I can complete it once I hit 80? This is back tracking my progress as the missions that are to come were painful to complete. They are more of a chore then enjoyable content.
Is there anyway I can progress through without loosing my progress. Also is this going to happen with all my other characters? Do I have to repeat certain chapters since they may not be in the game anymore.
Lastly Victory or Death was one of the best personal story mission. It was an epic fight that was really entertaining. It was one of the best out their
The OP deserves a paycheck or something
Epic find, finally I understand my fps drop/lag issues of the last month and why they are now gone.
I stopped playing for a year over the lack of a non-destructive wardrobe (and the loss of a valuable armor skin because of it). But I installed the game a few days ago and took it for another spin and I think the NPE stuff is great. I’ve spent $40 in gems in the last few days to get new skins and have been exploring like Magellan with that NPE pointer.
Yes indeed it is a very nice feature.
Yet there are lots of issues I already reported.
Like the pointer sometimes tells you to go far away while there is an uneplored area very close to you.

back to page 1 you go
I would take a look at Dry Top right at the crystal race and haze escort events are. There are plenty of people at times who afk there, setting their aoe heal to autocast, and getting credit for the events for just standing there.
Some of these people are there for hours, when they should be logged out after so long.

Hey guys. Thanks for the heads up on this problem. I just wanted to let you know that we are aware of it, investigating, and have already banned a bunch of accounts (I don’t know the exact number, but I know Chris Cleary has been very busy with this lately). Please keep letting us know when you see suspicious activity!
I did not read everything but here is my input.
I stopped the game last year for a long time. I returned recently a bit before the latest big patch in september.
I started a new elementalist.
I love some parts of the NPE like getting the weapon skills right away (and probably few others I can’t think of).
Here are the parts I dislike:
1) Skill point (on map) not working before level 13.
I started my elementalist, went on Caledon forest and quite quickly you reach a skill point. It was not working. I wondered what, asked few people and finally thought of a bug.
I continued the game and finally, 1 or 2 hours later I though about level requirement and someone confirmed.
When I almost finished the map I had to TP to the skill point do it and go back.
If it is strange for an old player, imagine what a really new player will think of this ?
You should allow to stack skill points, informing the player with a pop up that it will not be available before level 13.
2) Skills (the one we get through events, …)
Today my elementalist is 39. He finished all level 1-15 areas and one 15-25 area (Kessex Hills) and … he has 1 (only 1) of the blue skills, and yet he got it by chance. You really suppose that a “new” player will get fun by playing with one poor little skill ? Ok we can buy it, but yet. Can really a truly new player have enough money to buy skills AND good enough equipment to enjoy ? I do not think so.
I saw that to get some of the blue skills you have to do dungeons and WvW actions.
Really ? You really think that a new level 40 player (who has to finance equipment with the little money he gets) will be accepted in a dungeon group ?
Nowadays all people doing dungeons do it in speed to get money quickly and so are well equipped level 80 characters. Do you really think they will accept a lvl 40 character ?
And do you really think he can make 2 steps in WvW ?
Maybe you expect new players to wait their level 80 to get those skills (at this time WB and dungeons start becoming accessible and you start making money).
No, you should really review your copy and make the skills really more progressively accessible. Like after level up (get 1 skill point to choose 1 skill), after few events (ex: after 15 events done by the character get 1 skill point to buy 1 skill), after 5 reknow harts completed, etc …).

I cannot agree with you more. But it has been over 2 years, I doubt we will ever see it fixed.
ArenaNet really should just take down the Search function option rather than keeping that thing up as if it were something useful or even functional.
Removing it would insure that people know they need to use Google or Bing or standard search engines to find anything on these forums.
You can read today’s Dev posts about the Search function either in GD or the Dev Tracker.
Good luck.
I believe you mean this exact post by Gaile Grey https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/anet-s-lack-of-transparency/first#post4480893
I’ll quote her whole post:
Also Gaile, can we please get the forum’s Search function fixed? It’s been broken for nearly 2 years. I know there’s been heaps of topics on this, but the sad irony is that they get lost in the forums and never acted upon.
Thanks for communicating.
Gaile Grey: I’m not discounting your other comments, and thanks for them. But I have to quote that bit ^ and respond: Yes, Yes, and Yes again! By all that Dwayna holds holy, I truly wish we could get a functional search engine!
It’s no secret that the forum software has some noticeable issues. We don’t have the ability to fix Search, just as we cannot address a few other things we’d like to tackle. I’m really sorry that it can be difficult to efficiently use the forum. Quite honestly, I’m absolutely delighted when I see someone was able to find links to old threads and provide them in current thread. In fact, I often find myself wondering "How long did it take that poor forum member to find those links?
)
This is something we’re looking into, and there may be a couple of ways we can address it, even as we examine both short-term and long-term solutions.
So they flat out can’t fix the search feature on the forums. Perhaps they just need to completely rebuild the GW2 forums from scratch for it to work. That’s what it sounds like they need to do.
At least they acknowledge the issue and are working on it.
I am new to the forums, even though I have had my account for over two years. I recently found out that the search box always returns no results.
In my opinion, this makes the forums virtually useless. Why? Because there are a ton of pages of posts and I generally know what I want, such as ‘Nemesis’ or ‘Necromancer PVP’, etc and I am not interested in reading through hundreds of pages of posts to find it.

So – with the new update to miniatures everyone and their mother is running around Tyria with a mini following close by.
The problem is some of them ( in my opinion all of them) are completely immersion breaking and take away from the feeling of the game. Again – that’s just me.
It would be nice if there could be an in-game option to tick/untick in order to make them show up/not show up for you.
They’re a cosmetic thing. They matter for the person who has them equipped but then again I’d rather my epic fights and encounters were fought without small pandas running about.
My own personal graphics review right here:
My ele… is so attractive.
1. Free players can access sPVP (spvp so dead now no players)
2. Free players can access PVE and WVW but they can only wear Masterwork gear. ( More kitten to be pawned by we the alpha full payed players)
3. Free players can get into lv 80 and can only have exotic gear in their bags (cant wear it, but they can unlock and wear the skin.)
4. Basically free player is like kitten that ready to be pawned by us the alpha male players that bought the game.
5. If the free players want to be stronger they need to bought the game.
6. Esport achieved in sPVP ( the only place free players can pawned full payed players)
7. Profits.
Maybe you should take a look into ArcheAge, it has subscribers/patrons who pay and has f2p-players that can be seen as “prey” for the patrons and so has a lot of what you describe (and has a lot what I do not like).
Greetings.
I think the SPvP part of the game going F2P would be pretty awesome for the game. Right now SPvP is dead. If they did do that, they should find a way to heavily monetize it.
If the SPvP part is so dead as you say that maybe the problem is with SPvP not being fun and if so then maybe solving that would be the solution, not making the game F2P. Because if SPvP is not fun then F2P will temporary get some new people to the game who then see it’s not fun and then leave again.
Don’t you think that makes much more sense?
To the OP. No, just no. If you went out and actually played free to play games you’d know that they’re kitten and good for a few hours of time wasting, but that’s it.
GW2 is a one time fee, so it already is free to play, and that one time keeps the dreck of solely F2P gamers out of the system so that only people who genuinely care about the game play and stay.
