I think they change their hit box/targetable objects when they do different combat phases. for example on golem mk2 when he is swaps to turret phases than i need to retarget, similar for dragons when they take off or do some exaggerated animation/attack.
yes a prefix name when you look at them without individually targetting eg ‘Elite’ Risen Purifier or similar to distinguish from regulars with name alone.

Can the silver/gray class of mob have a prefix name as veteran and champion do if they are to be a feature of open world events. Getting annoying to attack mobs believing them to be all regulars from name and there is a super tough one there too.
When selling you select price then ‘sell’, so why is there an extra redundant function of ‘ok to select? As item gone with ’sell’. So ‘ok’ seems to serves no purpose to me other than slowing the process down waiting on the system to allow me to sell a new thing.

The sheer capacity of the army does put all other nations and armies to shame, event zhaitans at it’s height. So who are the aetherblades, where they all come from? You’ve got a huge army and airships literally from thin air. And why do they follow Scarlet? if i were in that army i’d be in full revolt at the callous massacre of my fellows in the absurd conflict.
Simple really i want to know what is killing me, the powers the area effects the environment, i want to see it in my chat log. Having just been killed by a LS vet but log list only ~2ks of hit total in fight and i have ~5k max in the zone.
so list conditional effects, heals, aoe, traps anything that effects character positively or negatively!
The sheer volume of Aetherblade corpses left after every zone attack is staggering if you take a sec or two to notice, i guess a few hundred dying in each contested event point, thousands dead for each zone attack. This is horrific casualty rates. These aren’t recyclable elementals, undead or holos but civilised races. To support the armies being throw at random zones how many ‘pirates’ are there? where has this massive army been hiding and living, how have they all be recruited with no one noticing? And why is such a huge force being massacred fighting over empty areas, why no city siegies or capturing resources?
I can take MMO spawning mobs as abstract for game play as long as its fueling a event/encounter story, but the current aetherblade line is really taking the kitten for an invasion from nowhere style. More so its actually unsettling that mass slaughter is without consequence for the enemy, that they are more faceless and drone-like than orrian undead. These are sentient pirates? peoples who take for profit and avoid the law? so why are they a horde for a tyrant? This is wildly unrealistic even for a sci-fi fantasy, and with current presentation not very feasible for the story presented.
yes, down powering the very good builds is better for balancing, as it makes the others build far more valid and overall diversity more interesting and varied.
I echo others that there are too many pets and minion things, very annoying when its hiding the asura necros.
Should be an option to ‘normalise’ visual player size, making all races about human size for balance purposes, ie norn+ charr shrunk, asura enlarged.

Nearest target: meaning one closest in combat with me, not the one out of combat in linear line of sight. targeting is more related to my view point not the mobs proximity or aggro state.
Magic find stat. Need to wear worse gear for better loot. bad for teams, bad for variety
Max condition stack. uncap conds like bleed and make duration conds stack over certain durations so poison over 1 min generates a 2nd poison. Thus cond builds can be far more useful in teams when duplicating or capping current effects.
Camera zoom from rear terrain, esp in JP. just make rear terrain 75% transparent and keep camera fixed.
Skill cooldown on a missed skill, not blocked or otherwise countered but missed due to range/los, so it is not actually used the skill, but cd is triggered.
I guess most have encountered this, but sliding down a steep slope is far more damaging than just a straight drop over same distance. This is illogical. I suspect the fall physics and the terrain are creating multiple impacts so stacking the fall hits. There should be a height fallen reduction after each hit in the damage formula.
This makes sliding unpredictable compared to falls and in some cases fatal for what should be a survivable fall.
Problem i see is both Evon and Kiel are offering a ‘bribe’ to get voted, but the bribe of keil is funded by city not personal funds, where as Evons offer is personal resources.
With the fractal again its money from LA to Asura techs. Funding a fractal development and a wp reduction really can’t be a bargain for LA coffers.
If i were an LA resident i’d be furious at these promises, much rather local taxes were reduced or spent on local matters , housing built other than shipwreck salvage, a lionguard better trained then meat in a uniform.
Evons promise is accountable as its one of his own products. Kiel to my limited information is neither the owner nor operator of every wp in tyria, Lions Arch council is not the owner of every wp either. So is this wp reduction cost being funded from LA public funds? from multiple trade arrangements with wp operators? Misdirection of detained funds looted form Consortium + Aetherblades?
In short Evon can fund promises, Kiel i cannot realistically see how she can.

If this is a Lions arch Council vote… why do we (players) get any vote? From what i understand its a ‘pirate’ oligarchy, so they’d just vote between themselves to replace the lost council member.
The individual promises seem contrived too. How would kiel lower the wp cost? LA (or kiel personally)own them and operate them all? How would she fund that? How would either kiel or evon reopen a dungeon? the only promise that make any sense is the key price as its evon’s own ‘product’.
I use a build similar to this, but with healing surge for mending, shamans amulet and fear me for the sig/rage.
So in comparison less crit(dps) but more shout+ heals. I found build i used some what toothless but decent for holding a point for a while and crossing maps quickly. (pre update it was axe version with 10pts in str for berzerker power and clerics.)

On the presumption recipes will be created, i do hope they don’t require vanilla, chilli, chocolate, egg and other increasingly demanded items. But for any realism of recipes.. hard to avoid :/
So yet another more trader prospecting based infation on these items i predict.
I have come across this in the process of setting intermediate targets for future legendary. While the weapon type legendaries i use are flashy, they really are not in keeping with the look(s) i have created in item sets or the stats of the items condusive to the builds i made.
This prior to lost shore wasn’t an issue as they were optional fluff of prestige value. But now that they are always best in slot items, then it makes logical sense to aquire them to be ‘progression proof’.
Considering ultimatly how many players will be aiming for these weapons, a larger diversity in style + stats needs to be in place or we will all be using the same selection of obvious weaponry. As these items are long term objective that all have differing recipe goals then if there are changes in the future can there be a guideline to consistency or patterns of item aquisition. I’d hate to have worked for say the predator being partly keen on the look for a far more appealing legendary rifle to be released but requiring different dungeon element or lodestones than those i aquired, or worse still not having gifts of exploration left for newer legendaries.

With current spin on the patch i anticipate the AMA will magically have no time for gear concerns and manifesto u-turns, but question on spvp or bugs or old dungeons or new fractals will readily be answered ie all the stuff they want to promote. I doubt there will even be an sincere apology for event fiasco if that gets raised.
Sorry to sound so cynical but the recent update and subsequent managment has eroded optimism, enjoyment and trust in this product considerably.
I predict ‘Armouring Infusion’ and ‘Weaponised Infusions’ . Which will perform as Superior Runes+ Sigils! but are ‘slightly better’ than existing runes + sigils and fuction as infusion too! (requires xxx tier infusion, 100 obsidian lodestones, 200skill pts and 50 Superior rune/sigil you desire… only!)
-Southsun Cove. The area is artistically decent, and not out of line with similar geographies, having said that, the tropical seaside and shipwreak features do get used alot. The inhabitants are really quite limited in variety, feels to me that its a alpha iteration of what should be a richer island. For example where are krait, hylek, risen or quaggan, or their remains, considering the surrounding regions populations, heck where are the usual inquest meddling scientists?
The acual mobs are understandably tougher thought some are quite tough for conventional melee based approaches, yet really easy for long range kite approach, sadly this seems to occurs too often for the higher content, restricting enjoyment in weapon diversity in favour of optimal set ups.
While their density and minimal ranged cc is far more pleasent than Orr, the hp and combat powers available don’t make them appealing, also the loot rate from the larger karka seem skewed, i have not gotten loot of the vet unless i personally about 25%+ damage to it.
-The jump puzzle are good, and consistent with the standard of ones in the game i feel.
-Phase 1. The quests were bogged down quickly due to bugged npcs. This i found to be sloppy and careless further enforced by tales of the awful lags in the 1st fighting part. Perhaps for future, spread the ‘attack’ simultaneaously so event occurs in several relevant regions for the same event step. Add a quest tracker too for the papertrail quests eg ‘interrogate Noll at Hanto trading post’ the mail as a tool is not that intuitive, especially if clue locations are not known. This applys to the other quest to gather bits for the researcher, a tracker indication all 3 were needed b4 a handing would of been really helpful.
-Phase 2. Missed apparently laggy fight part again. The DE escort of lionguard on the island was fairly decent in the chain DE of Orr type way, the option of DE split was not obvious at the time, partly as ppl were adjusting to the mobs attacks, parties in overflows and laggy mass attended combat. The sequence was good upto when it stopped. I seemed to missed the dialogue or whatever that was ‘event over, come back tomorrow for finale’ . I wasn’t alone in that sense of confusion either, so the massed zerg sort of broke up and milled about exploring. The fights were often brutal wipes due to the champ stomp attacks and the vet rolls and acid puddles, particularly when these attacks overlapped.
-Phase 3. Took over all too long to complete, a one time epic event shouldn’t really be longer than say a movie or football match for time commitment, its no accident that such things are 1-2hrs. The mobs were too frequently super hp mobs that were quite tedious to whittle down once the figths were stable, but the mass wipes due to acid puddle saturations and rolls were awful, mostly due to the powerlessness of your actions defensivly, dodging just landed you in more poisonous goop til no dodge and cond removers left so dead. Or that the champs hitting for 13k twice in a row making melee not an option and the zerg tactic of shoot it and rez the sod that got hit. The DE event sequence was however good, but i’d prefer smaller hp mobs to speed up reinforcment stages and the vet/champ grinds. (same is true of most dungeon fights too). The rewards were suprisingly good, but the inclusion of precursors in the loot tables soured it for the many that got mediocre exotics.
-Fractals of the Mists, not entered it yet as i’m not happy with ascendent weapons and agony mechanic, but the core idea of a series of mini dungeon repeating with increasing difficulty is great. I saw some previews of Fractal weapons, have to say not to my liking, too artificial and plastic looking.
-Ascended Gear. I feel this is a very bad direction for the game future. It is not what i want, infact i found the easy reach plateau of exotic stats very liberating and refreshingly different to the horrifically un-fun gear grinds of nearly every MMO.
-Crafting materials and recipes. Seem largely pointless, other than being there for the sake of being there, the recipes on the whole are not great. The lack of bank spots for the items is a stupid oversight.
-Consortium Chests. After halloween chests. no. if there is stuff i desire i’ll buy it on tp and let some poor sap gamble. Why not simply put skins on the shop, that we can preview and buy directly, why is that so hard to do? and while there lower the cost of consumable on shop to an acceptable sum, consumables should cost same as snacks or music tracks not restaurant meals or cds, as it stand i won’t buy shop items for cash as its not worth the cash value in gems.

The appeal of this game was the suprisingly liberating dual idea of no sub and fixed ceiling gear. That is(was) a very refreshing feeling coming from a host of former MMOs played from past 10yrs or so.
I like the freedom to make new builds with gear knowing it not a waste of resouces and time. As the gear is of the ‘final’ quality and has permenant utility. Now it isn’t, now it is a steady convoluted gear race like other MMOS. To be on skill par in pvp, you require equal gear plateau. It was my understanding this is what GW2 intended. This has been overturned really very quickly in a like of an MMO.
It much like a political party you voted for reversing it core principles 3 months in office, very dishonest and underhand.
I use the sigil in off hand and often use steal life food for intensive fights, the cd from the sigil doesn’t influence food based procs, i can get several heal procs with multi-attack powers (like sword burst adrenal or axe whirlwind for warrior), and off each foe hit too.

Tried over perhaps 6-8hrs , in multiple sessions. Farthest i got was a little beyond the drop part, but not the switch back part. Over the course of trying and heeding advice, watching successful attempts, ignoring other players, i think my greatest issue is just age and lacking reflexes i had 20 years ago (and finding that extremely frustrating, knowing i have done all other JPs available).
Reflecting on it, its good to have high difficulty challenges. But the disappointment in admitting defeat due to your own ability (rather than luck or another players pvp) is unsuprisingly not that fun.
If appearing next year, i’d keep the format it as is, but with no gear rewards (exotics etc) and just a title, so the ‘carrot’ for it is purely just the challenge, and folk are less likely to feel they missed a special item or others allowed to farm it.

Solo’d as warrior sword/horn and pie. Solo’d 2nd time, though overconfidence and kitteny play led to feared off cliff moments, 2nd loots are not so great
I got disconnected again, so having followed the instuctions for log set up earlier, i went to attach it. The file is there but empty (0kb). so unless a proceedure is wrong, can’t see that log being helpful.
