Haven’t done a single dungeon yet

Refilled my Revenant from Asura to Human and am much happier on it however, the game feels lost to me now it seems. What is there for me to do? I sPvP, I Raid when people eventually group me but that takes hours of searching so I give up in the end. farming masteries is almost as much of a snoozefest than when I farmed back in dAoC..

I think I’m at the point where I’m actually debating on resubbing my wow toons or trying to get flare back into gw2.. Just got rev to 80, have fill exotic. Not much else to do for a guildlessw guy with no gold.

General speaking we trash every class 1v1 though condis give us an insanely hard time.

Ah yes forgot about your build just out of curiosity how well does that work for general note playing I.e. auric basic veterans. Going to test out your build and brazils and see how I feel. I believe he uses scepter in his also which is interesting.

I’m a huge fan of dots, played mostly affliction warlock in wow from vanilla to mop haha

Anyone able to post up some builds and gear recommendations for condi reaper? All I have access to this far is power builds lol :/ weapons, skillsw, traits, runes etc please!

Yeah to be honest I’m loving the he’ll out of my necro and rev so I’m just going to gear up and stick with both. Actually rerolled my rev this morning as I cant stand asura as a heavy lol so ran a female human instead but Yeah decent heads up peeps, going to gear these 2 and kick some kitten !

Lol fair enough, I love both my Rev and my Necro tbh, I just cant be kitten d playing them much coz I cant stand staring at my tiny asura anymore, ca nt see anything

Grinding HP’s on the Rev at the moment to finish off Herald, it’s alright so far, still prefer my Necro for the playstyle, can see why Rev is one of the top dogs though. top DPS lately seems to be power rev, condi necro and then tempest?

I’m going to focus revenant dps, reaper condi and guardian tank. As far as I’m aware engi is only great on static fights, and the rotation seems mind boggling

I chose Male Asura purely because they’re tiny… However I’m undecided on whether I prefer my Male Norn or not. It’s 50/50. With my outfits etc Asura works better.

So necro, specifically condi, is great for general fights static or mobile, but isn’t meta. Meta being condi engi, revenant and tempest?

How do those 3 compare? Been reading around on the specific forums, seems necros are 50/50 on how they perform, guardians seem to be funneled into tank or nothing and revenant is healer or top tier meta dps…

I have to be honest I main necro, Guardian and reaper and it seems like I’m kitten out of luck on all 3 of these as far as raiding goes, seems every other profession beats my 3 on something. I did main an engi but found the rotation boggling.

I have to be honest I’ve just hit 80 on my guard and am rocking gs/lb and seem to find lb tickles mobs whereas gs destroys them. I’m honestly torn between my rev, necro and dh right now as dh isn’t seeming too great for raids

I play Guardian, Necromancer and Revenant as my 3 Main Classes, I am Guildless currently but am looking to get geared then progress into Raiding.

Before I even start splashing gold and time into grinding Legendaries etc. I’m curious which Class I should focus on, and what the main Roles for my classes will be?

Revenant, Guardian, Necromancer… Which has the most potential/need in Raids? Which builds are best going? All 3 dps… Tank Guard, Healer Rev, dps Necro?

Silly post I know but there’s not a whole lot on what fits what role best etc so far so figured I’d just ask.

What gear do I want to run when soloing/farming events in HoT areas? ive gone for berserker atm with greatsword+longbow, is that a bad idea? should I swap to knight or something maybe?

It’s pretty annoying. Crashed out game, logged back in, soon as i’m back in I have an hour dishonor. Completely not my fault, nothing I could do to stop it. Have GW2 on my SSD so it loads hella fast. But still got the Dishonor.

When we first started raiding ICC in WoW we had 31 people book an entire week off work. We logged on at 8am and would log off at 2am.

Ill keep on with reaper and dh then. I find Herald a tad boring. Gonna gear up the druid also and try it out.

35 hours is quite short tbh. Back in wow we would spend 10hours a day in beta farming bosses then do 12-14 hour days to try and clear it all. Think back in tbc we went for 15 hours in a sitting..

Ah so only good and all right? Haha, fills me with doubtful joy that I’ve geared the wrong classes then. Much prefer reaper playstyle as dh and Herald can be pretty boring, I’m going to give druid a try. Anything else?

I want to get into raiding here, I spent most of my WoW career in Method or Envy so I’m used to high end content. My issue is the comps. Currently I’m reaper and Herald and have just gotten my dragonhunter to 80 also. Are all 3 of these certain go-oers for a raid or is it comp specific? I’m also fairly curious how Druids fit into these comps as its the next class I’m looking to gear up.

What sort of setup would you guys say would suit me for hot content with zerk gear?

I’m thinking gs/bow with shout heal/teleport/trap/swiftness/quickness

Level 79 so almost time. Absokuely loving my necro at the moment though it’ll be very hard to top him!

Is pack the swiftness duration and power rune? Whilst levelling I’m using staff and gs with retreat and save yourselves, being able to stack over 60s of swiftness is real nice for running around. I just thought traveller as I’m lazy, my reaper uses the signet and strength rune lol.

I did say I was fine as far as SPvP goes I went 14-1 in games today, very hard to lose solo queuing with meditrapper, imo anyway. I think I lost 2 1v1’s the entire day and both were to minionmaster reapers..

Well I looked at all other classes and the only one that sort of took my interest was druid… But I much prefer guardians. Hell the reason I stopped playing it was due to no ranged except scepter now bam, Longbow!!

I’m very slowly getting it to 80, from then what gear should I get? I assume zerker is a nono? Got it on my reaper but he’s much tankier in General… Traveller rune ok? Mostly be roaming hot areas for events. Thinking the standard gs + lb build would work fine, I’ll carry a staff for event tagging.

I’ve only played my Reaper since Launch so i’m not too sure on how the other classes perform. I play everything in SPvP but I main Guardian and Necromancer.

Deciding to pick up my Guardian and try him out in PvE content (Solo, Events, Raids etc) and see how he performs. So how are we all finding it?

Curious if i’ll just be whining 24/7 because my Reaper runs around in the new HoT content with no issues at all, how are you DH’s finding it?

This is strictly PvE, PvP I’m fine on builds.

I finally plucked up the courage to ditch my Minion build, sort of.

My current setup is:

Gear: berserker
Weapons: staff and greatsword
Utility: shout heal, rise, locust, weaklings, golem.
One thing i haven’t sorted is sigil etc for this build. Do I want rune of strength?

This is proving to be insanely strong and fun but I really want to try Condi also.

Does anyone have a solid Condi build for roaming around soloing/farming in HoT PvE? What weapons, gear stats, sigils, rune, skills etc?

Love Reaper PvE and PvP.
Love dagger/warhorn dps
Love build variety, finding minion builds insanely good for solo play.

Hate Greatsword
Hate having no minion command, even something like dismiss or explode.

Btw is anyone have any luck soloing as anything other than minion orientated builds? I’m sticking as D/W and Staff lately with a typical minion setup.

I’ve only unlocked the first trait line in reaper so I haven’t really tried it yet. When’s a good time toc make the switch? Love it in pvp, can be unbelievably tanky at times.

I’m thinking I’m better off with greatsword and staff just for general ease of use without messing around etc. How does greatsword rate damage wise?

So as an example with the first trait line unlocked for reaper. Whhat trait setups should I run if you’re saying reaper is good to go with from the first unlock?

I think I’ll try out dagger/warhorn and greatsword to see how it fairs. Really excited to unlock reaper fully and use rise. So much more exciting than my revenant at the moment.

How far along the reaper line should I switch? Or should I wait until I’ve fully unlocked it?

So many viable builds, makes necro so much fun to play. I know my revenant is statistically better but necro is too fun to log off haha.

Farming being general grinding like eventsw, soloing hero points, soloing general content whilst I farm mastery etc…

Is there any point going reaper/greatsword before I’ve fully unlocked the trait line? Is there any point where its more worthwhile than playing dagger/warhorn? And is minion master the better setup to use for doing so?

I have to say I’m quite enjoying this, the extra life bar is a godsend for majority of the new HoT locations. I main a Revenant with my Necro and am finding Revenant before Herald is a struggle to grind with, its so much easier farming on the Necro.

I’m just running a typical dagger/wh with staff minion master built with soul reaping, death and blood magic… I’m then using health pet, golem, minions and the other shroud pet with movement glyph… Is this the correct setup to run or us there a stronger option? Also weapon wise is dagger wise in here or should so swap/carry an axe instead?

Browsing through these threads for tips also which is helping, necro may not be great for dungeons etc but for world content it’s great fun!

I don’t see it as a chore… I just have no idea what the kitten I’m doing. I’m in the maguuma place trying to find and get to all the hero points and masteries, never really see people at events so I ignore them….

I levelled my revenant via tomes and crafting so my map completion is like 5%. Any tips on fastest way to do this? Spent 3 hours farming and am still at my first mastery 35% with 11 mastery points spare :/

Is it just me who doesn’t find DH scary to play against? I’d much rather fight a DH than a Scrapper or Chrono… I play reaper, Herald and scrapper.

Well I play every class tbh, whichever I’m in the mood for at the time, I have the least problems vs DH. Probably coz. I play one, I know how to wreck them and what to avoid. Warriors are like annoying flies you can’t escape from.

Ok So complete hot story then go into hero point and mastery farming. He’ll I haven’t even finished the regular story on my rev and necro yet lol it goes on forever!!! I’ll try my rev first then try necro afterwards and see who I prefer for farming

Figured minion mancer would’ve been easier if I’m mostly solo?

Ok so I’ll go unlock the masteries then clear the new zones and go from there?

So how long ideally to unlock the elites like reaper and Herald? What seems to be the fastest way to grind it all? Obviously assuming so have the boosters on…? Last little thing is what’s in the jungle etc is that just easy to get hero points etc?

Just curious real quick, I play 2 or 3 times a week so wanted a quick grind.

Haven’t unlocked reaper or Herald yet, does it take long to do or is it a few hours?

I imagine my MM will be much faster than my Rev to grind on due to rev having to facetank all and MM being able to staff/backline if needed…?

Rev is amazing if you can grasp the class otherwise it’s trash. It’s not God mode it can easily be beaten. But so can every class. There’s too much whine from bads on the officials… :/

I’m currently a Male Asura which looks awesome and all but I’m starting to go back to preferring my Male Norn purely because I find they look much better in general and you can visually see everything. Plus I’ve noticed size makes no difference in this game anymore. Slowly levelling up my Male Norn rev again!

Ah ok. I majority of time play necro and rev so was just curious where they measured, engi is next on my list to level but that’s more of a PvP thing.

Just curious how everything is measuring up so far, searched the wonderful world of Google and came up short.

Don’t get kitten, I don’t care at all if they Nerf it, I barely play mine as it is I find it boring. I mainly play my necro, occasionally play thief as I love the playstyle, druid/rev every now and then but not a lot. Mostly just necro. Various builds.

I play a DH, Necro, Rev and Druid. I find the latter 3 more devastating in games compared to the DH… Hell I don’t think I’ve ever died to a DH 1v1… why cant people just kitten and L2P…? Instead of whining Nerf this and Nerf that, learn to play your class and BEAT IT! DH isn’t that strong, and the pure trap builds are kitten. Mine only runs 1 trap.

Yes I never die on my DH, I play it well. I also never die to them on my Druid, Rev or Necro. Hell my Necro SHREDS them it’s hilarious!!

Long story short, stop crying, learn to play, win. Official forums are so whiney. More solutions, less negativity.

I play rev necro and dh. I absolutely destroy dh in nu necro its hilarious. Gonna play a bit on nu druid also and when i watch rom, he also destroys them.

So I’ve finally got my revenant and my necromancer to 80. I’m really undecided on which one to focus on for gearing up. I do a lot of spvp and pve. Mostly PvP, which is fine as don’t need gear for that. I’m just about to start grinding masteries.

Was just a brief question or 2 really. Is mastery account bound? If I start on revenant then get bored of it and swap to my necromancer, will I start from 0 again or do I just carry on from where my revenant left off?

Love my revenant it’s just the perfect playstyle for me. A heavy armor thief without the stealth really. I do regret being asura though tbh as my male Norn is a whole lot better looking for heavy armor. Necro is asura also but he’s fine lol!

Anywho… So mastery is account bound? Farming wise will it be faster for me to grind on my revenant or necromancer? I’m almost always solo unless I’m following zergs.

The most fun I had on my Revenant was Phasing towards mobs that were 2-3k range away and catching up to them in 3-4 phases, made map covering soooooo much easier… Kinda gone off it a little now, levelling up the Reaper… Reaper MM looks fun for soloing
