Guild Wars 2

I think it would be cool to have some cape and cloak skins for our back items. I suppose the only problem would be the fact that you can’t dye them, but still, I would like to see some capes and cloaks. Not as skins on the gem store, but as skins in-game.

Also, new hoods would be nice. I have my Subterfuge Hood still (transmuted of course), but I don’t like it covers the eyes so much. I’ve looked at all the other hood skins, and I don’t like them. I would like something without a mask.

Anyway, some suggestions!

The Shatterer is a champion of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik.

So yes, Zhaitan is Tequatl’s leader. As for the relationship between the different “dragon factions”, e.g. between Zhaitan and Kralkatorrik (or Tequatl and the Shatterer): we don’t fully know. They seem to be keeping to themselves, any direct alliances or conflicts is yet to be seen.

It’s not pay to win, because PvE is entirely non-competitive in GW2, and there is no winning without competition.

However, that said.

I’ve thought this since day one, no idea why the playerbase puts up with this crap. It is the exact same story as the Diablo auction house, except Blizzard players were smart enough to boycott that crap and even the game until it was removed, because it is a flat out, indisputable, con of a monetary system to run a game on.

The conversion option makes it so that players are more likely to support Anet and GW2 the less rewarding the game is, just like the debunked D3 auction house.

If it goes like the D3 auction house did, GW2 becomes better for everyone who plays for rewards, customization, exploration, and progress. When the Diablo auction house went down, every single reward in the games drop rate was increased, some by as much as 40%, and they found other honest methods of making money off the game. So it turned out better for everyone, as will the removal of the conversion system should the players ever choose to take a stand against it.

There’s a HUGE OVERSIGHT you’re missing.

d3 auctionhouse sold items for REAL CASH back to your BATTLENET ACCOUNT. You could use this to pay for games, and other merchandise etc.

THAT’s the reason it shut down. Because people were hoarding the best items and selling them for absurd amounts of cash, and people were buying them, literally turning it into a pay to win.

d3 was gated by gear, just like most dungeon crawlers were, but even more so due to the removal of skill trees from d2.

gw2 has 0 pay to win features. 0.
Do some research before you spout nonsense.

And people aren’t doing exactly that here? Precursors, mystic forge skins, T6 mats, BL weapon skins, all things only available for horrendous drop rates compared to similar items in any other game, and ALL of them horded by players to sell for exploitative prices.

It is exactly the same system, the only difference is, as I said, GW2s PvE is non-competitive, meaning you aren’t ‘winning’. But that does not change the fact that each players loss is Anets monetary gain. The less players get what they want, the more appealing converting gems to gold becomes to get it.

Did you even read his post? He said PLAYERS were getting RL MONEY back from the auction house. That doesn’t happen in GW2.

I also have Thief, I could use my Ranger instead, but… I like playing my Thief.

She has the trait where if she stealths in any way, she loses a condition (and the longer she’s stealthed, the more conditions are removed). It makes Blinding Powder great against Teq (not so much against Jormag because he breathes too often).

I’ll give all you guys’s advice a try.

I’ve got all the achievements for Teq, save Tail Flail. I hanged out behind him during a battle today, and I didn’t him attack with his tail at all. The wiki says he does it when he stomps, breathes, and… something else, I forgot.

His breathe attack, since it causes fear, is a no-go (unless there’s an item, food, etc. that blocks fear), and I’ve never seen the tail really swipe in a way to dodge it.

So, how does one complete this achievement?

Are current meta is “zerker only”. You must have a meta, but why not have it like… 1 support, 1 control, etc. To get rid of zerker only, you need to make it nearly impossible which is why you make the mobs harder. +50% attack speed, and make it to no one shots, then dps only groups are impossible.

In a ‘meta’ group, members of seven out of the eight professions are expected to provide something in the support role. Thieves provide defensive support via blinds, Mesmers use Feedback and the focus to provide defensive support, Guardians have aegis, blinds, and Wall of Reflection for defensive support, and so on. Warriors and eles help the group to maintain might, Rangers and Engineers often help to provide vulnerability.

The only way to prove which argument states more truly is to test against a much more powerful, non one shot boss. Essentially, the argument is, specialized rolls, or many rolls with a little of each. Testing will tell.

And what makes you think that ANET will go with your testing argument?

This is a great guild. You’ll get a lot of laughs (especially from Creo—great sense of humor), and we have plenty of events. Come join!

Have it hover over the water. It doesn’t make sense for the Riding Broom to suddenly stop and drop you into the water when you cross over it. Unless that’s game-breaking, I think adding this feature would make the Riding Broom more enjoyable.

Anyway, so it sounds like dungeons. I’m nervous about doing dungeons without my guild because… well, they are all RL friends, but the guild is totally inactive except me. They’ve moved onto other things.

The reason I’m nervous is I don’t like random parties and I don’t like it when people take the game too seriously and get angry if I screw up. I know this community tends to be nicer (much) than WoW’s, but I’m weary.

Dungeons or open world chests? Those are the two options I’m picking right now.

The question is… which method is more efficient at farming Empyreal Fragments? I have yet to make an Empyreal Star because of how rare they are. :/

So, I’ve got a playlist for Cities (City.m3u), yet I went to the Grove and it played the Grove’s music. What’s wrong? In other cities, it plays custom music.

I like them and dislike them at the same time.

I like the chest rewards (getting Dragonite Ore is great because I’m crafting some ascended daggers), but waiting for bosses or farming events in a specific location is not fun.

I think a mix of the old and new would be better.

Has ANet said anything about the Fear storyline?

Let me describe Vine here. She’s an asura thief, who is highly intelligent and has a fine physical figure (i.e. she’s hot for an asura).

She’s very good at what she does as a thief/assassin. So, I’d like two commissions of her.

First Commission: See the last image for the concept behind her pose. I know it doesn’t look anything like her, but the figma gave me the best way of describing the pose. Anyway, some notes:
– The silver blades represent the daggers Vine wields (see pic 1).
– Vine is jumping, her right leg angled up like in the figma, except slightly higher.
– Her head is kittened a little to the right, and she has a more triumphant expression (not an angry one).
– Vine is hooded in this picture, but her face is visible, yet slightly shadowed.
And that’s the first one.

Second Commission: See all the pictures of Vine without a hood.
I just want a 3/4ths picture of Vine leaning her left arm on an object (you pick, it has to be chest-tall). And her hood is down, and she’s throwing a cute, yet suggestive wink at the viewer. Her smile matches. Right hand should be on her hip.

That’s it! I hope it doesn’t cost too much (I know the first one is going to cost a bit). Thank you!

There are lots of things to be changed from the typical GW2 storyline:

• While it starts out similar to the Asura Storyline, dialogue will be changed, and the main story arc will be different.
• The Inquest have a much bigger role, even after the ‘race arc,’ they are the primary antagonists.
• Vini will meet my other characters in my account, who will help her out.

Point of View:

• The Prologue is the only ‘chapter’ in first person, the rest is in third person.

Avoid playing it for now, not only is it chopped up and makes no sense, but something is horribly wrong with the difficulty.. Some missions chop you up and spit you out even if you are already a fully traited lv80 with Exotics, while on the other hand some of the biggest bosses die in 20 seconds – faster than they can even speak – even if you are on-level for the mission and wearing the crappiest gear and build.

ANet needs some time to completely rethink it. Here’s hoping they actually do …

I heard there are some missing Personal Story events. So, I’m avoiding mine for now. I think anet said they knew about the problem, so, is there an ETA on these fixes?
