Here’s a picture of a party happening (or that did happen this morning) in Rata Sum’s prisons.
Apparently, there’s free wi-fi. :P

I reported this bug in-game pre-7/7 patch. I’m sad they didn’t fix it. :/

Update! Some revisions to Chapters 2 and 3, and the Prologue has been revised.
Does anyone have any good, positive feedback for me? I really want to know!

I watched your video and then had to try it for myself. Took a couple of jumps, but i eventually made it alive. The irony…is that I work at a prison as a corrections officer in real life, XD
Currently inviting people to fill up the cell, join Kira Aihara in game to join in!
I was there. I was Vini Yunio. XD
Yes, you can there normally by traveling down a set of stairs from the Accountacy waypoint and then going to the northwest corner of the downstairs. If you see a bunch of peacemakers, then find a way down more stairs. Then, you get to see who else is in the prisons.

I jumped off the side, and I hit a indent and died.
What? I want to go to jail. XD

Well, many of us have to disagree with you (above poster); this is was a poor decision on Anet’s side. Why can’t they just leave alone things that work already?

If it’s not affecting ALL Asura characters you meet, it’s normal – my Asura toon is red-eyed, with a hue/glow very similar to those above.
Really? Interesting.
That’s kinda… weird, and uncomfortable. o.o Though, something seems off about the first picture I posted. That asura, she almost looks like a vampire asura? o.O
I really don’t remember this happening before.
Fan Story – The Assassin of Rata Sum - Guild Wars 2 Screenshots - Vini Short Story
Asura look downward, too.
In a really creepy kitten way.
Holy crap, that’s scary! O_o
Fan Story – The Assassin of Rata Sum - Guild Wars 2 Screenshots - Vini Short Story
So, I’m kinda creeped out now. I never noticed this before, but apparently, there are red-eyed asura in Rata Sum. Apparently, it’s most likely a bug with my graphics driver (as I never noticed it before).
So, in the attachments are some… freaky pictures.
I’ll also give my graphics card model and driver build:
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 555M
Driver Version: 353.30
So, anyone got a clue as to what’s going on? I tried to fix the issue by selecting ‘Best Appearance’ settings in the options and re-logging in. Didn’t do the trick, and as you can see from my guild chat, they had glowing red eyes after I used best appearance. o.o

It’s not just the asura, the new angle’s horrible with charr as well. While it fixed the issue of taller charr going off-screen, it now gives them a very nasty bobblehead effect. :/
Believe it or not, my head’s not the size of my ribcage >..>
Not to mention the charr is a little off to the side. :P
Yeah, I can confirm both bugs for the asura and the charr.

You must be leveling really fast to find such a thing annoying. Do you mind making a guide?
He was using Tomes of Knowledge.
Fan Story – The Assassin of Rata Sum - Guild Wars 2 Screenshots - Vini Short Story
I have to agree. I merely used one Tome of Knowledge and it annoyed me. I don’t understand the need for the change, and I’m scared it’s going to remain that way as Anet rarely changes their new interfaces. I dislike this new interface for two reasons:
1) It’s very obtrusive, tends to get in the way of things.
2) It’s very annoying to have to go through per level.
Some info/response from Anet would be appreciated.

And yeah, I noticed the charr problem.

Why wouldn’t guns exist in this world? As soon as someone figures out how to make something explode, it’s only a matter of time until they figure out how to make it propel something in a specific direction.
I don’t know why, but you sounded like an asura talking when you posted that. At least to me. :P

Tolkien is only the father of modern fantasy. Doesn’t mean we have follow everything he did. In fact, if you want to be a published fantasy author, you better stay away from elves and dwarves because that will give an even slimmer chance of being published. Elves and dwarves are vastly overused; especially elves.
I have a lot of respect for Tolkien, mind you, but we can have pistols and rifles. We have asura and charr to show that we’re quite ahead of the middle ages in this game. :P

The cat ears she posted are not incredibly different from the ones from GW1. Cat ears are cat ears and there is already precedent for them since they were in GW1. Saying they don’t fit or are a “violation of territory” makes no sense. You don’t like them, don’t buy them.
Exactly. It would bother me seeing asura running around with cat ears, but I wouldn’t quit the game over it. If I wanted to quit over something ‘immersion breaking,’ I would have quit over the wings. :P
But yeah, don’t like em? Don’t buy them.

I’m not against the idea. I’ve never had my armor broken.
Question is: what do you do about fractals? I’ve had my guildies break their armor in fractals and die. :S No waypoints exist in fractals.
Could still have the checkpoint prompt.
That would work.

What is up with some people and their insane hatred of anything Japanese. It’s very bizarre. Are you a hipster or something?
I play western games, not east one like Blade & Soul and for a good reason. Why people bringing up anime stuff into my territorial when you can move out to your yet another anime junk and enjoy car ears, naked people and other lame stuff? My pic sums it up and i say no to this. We have enough of it already.
One could argue that this isn’t your territory, for one. Two, I believe a Korean game company has a hand in Guild Wars 2, so I’ve heard. Three, not all anime is about cat ears, naked people, and ‘other lame stuff.’
Generalizations = bad.
However, I’m not for cat ears myself. They would just look weird, IMO.

Ugh. I’d hate that. A lot. I’m not a brown-type person.
Regardless, it should be either or.

I noticed that when you go to any scene in Old Lion’s Arch in the Personal Story, it’s drowned in a brown overlay color. I don’t like that because, you’re doing your personal story, not a memory.
I know it’s a silly thing to nit-pick about, but I’d prefer not to have to turn off Post-processing every time I enter a PS segment with Old Lion’s Arch in it. The PS takes place about 3 years before current game time, but it’s not treated like a memory like anything in Old Lion’s Arch.
Besides, I also like looking at old Lion’s Arch, it’s pretty.

(Taken from an experience with my guild)
Best friends meet—a human and a slyavari—once again.
“Hug me!”
“Cuddle me!”
They start cuddling. An asura walks by and asks, “what are you doing?”
One answers, “we are cuddling.”
The other asks, “would you like to cuddle with us?”
The asura ponders a moment and answers, “sure!”
:P

I’m not changing my build or playstyle just because you don’t like it. I have no problem with smarter AI, but I have issues with people asking to remove zerker completely. That would kill some peoples’ playstyle, and it would also just make other zerkers move to the next highest damage dealing stat setup as another player stated.
Removing zerker or merging it or whatever will not change anything in the long run. I think smarter AI is probably the key, but then again, I’m not an ArenaNet dev.

I can’t pick one. Only four. And mind you, I have only medium graphic settings, but despite that, these are my top four best looking characters. My characters are very simplistic in their appearance, and yet they look great.
In no particular order…
1 – Vini Yunio, Thief
2 – Ashe Frostworth, Ranger
3 – Farclaw Wartongue, Engineer
4 – Levi Crystalweaver, Guardian

I would not mind a change in GW2’s content difficulty, but the current way the devs are doing it is wrong. I’d also like to note that I stay away or leave other MMOs (and I also left League for this reason) because of toxic communities centered around the ‘one ultimate build that you must have, or you can’t compete.’
GW2 is… or was about having fun with your playstyle. That you could succeed with your playstyle. From a thief player’s perspective, the recent patch hasn’t given us that. Granted, it’s a recent patch so balance changes are coming. :P

Casual players aren’t idiots, and they don’t want easy mode. They want a game where they can relax.
I’m a casual player. I love hard games, though. It’s when they get stupidly hard that it becomes a problem with me. I haven’t fought Teq in awhile because of his absurd difficulty and lack of loot to compensate for it. I’m not going to attempt to kill him, and if I win, just get a spoon for all of that.
Hardcore players need to stop equating casual players with easy mode and stupidity. We’re not stupid, and we don’t want easy mode. We want a balanced game with the occasionally fun hard mode.

Fan Story – The Assassin of Rata Sum - Guild Wars 2 Screenshots - Vini Short Story
I have an engi, too. I got 3 Hero Points as a level up reward at 33, and I checked my next rewards when I hit 34. The level 35 rewards Hero Points as well. How many? I don’t know yet.
I sent the Support Team a message about my issue and to see if I can get my Hero Points returned to me—that is, any that I missed when leveling. I used an Experience Scroll to level my engi to level 20, and that was pre-patch. So, I think I lost a lot of Hero Points.
Strange thing is… from about level 25-33, I didn’t get any Hero Points as a level up reward. Mind you, I don’t know what level I was when the patch hit. I know I was below 30, though. At least by three levels.
