How do u beat a black powder abusing thief?
All I want to know is what was Super’s build? A few times they cut to him vs Teldo, they cut away as Teldo was down. They stayed for the now infamous 1v2 though.
GTFO, most people play asuras cause they have “cooler” animations, sayings, and are just an all out cooler race. Humans and charr can kill me just as much as an asuran. Animations take the same amount of time. This is completely a perception issue.
I’m confused, can someone explain the CC had to play through and TP had time to rest. Did the teams not play the same amount of games?
I’m a huge Teldo fanboy but this whole situation is kinda sucky.

This is pretty much verbatim what hammer warriors were in GW1. Do you know how you shut them down to avoid them stun-locking you into oblivion? You blinded them.
Yet the game isn’t GW1.
Just because something was a well done part of the not-at-all-similiar predecessor, doesn’t mean flopping it over to GW2 will lead to the same thing… GW1 was a team based game with plenty of team support, positioning mattered allowing ally focus fire/support to catch anyone out of positioning and pressuring you. GW2 is a solo-skirmishy game with little to no team support outside of hardcore premades.Warriors can stunlock consistently and constantly, having a class in this game entirely based around forcing the opponent to lose control of their charector for prolonged lengths of time (5+ seconds) IS BAD DESIGN. Nothing better than the frenzy-100b they scrapped before.
That’s my point, if you care to actually address it this time… I’m all ears.As a sidenote.

Hunter’s Shot: This skill no longer applies vulnerability on each hit, but now grantss the ranger stealth for 3 seconds.
Hunter’s Shot is terrible. Teleport? Come on. I think the CC warrior is fine as it is and needs no nerf but those 2 “alternatives” are terrible.
Burst beats … burst/people that don’t run stun breakers.
Bunkers outlast burst.
Condi’s overpower bunkers.
Control … controls condi’s.
Any combo of the above 2 can take out the third.It’s more like this:
Burst beats burst
Bunkers outlast burst
Conditions overpower burst, bunkers, other condition builds and anything inbetween
Control controls everybody and is arguably better against burst, since burst builds require you to be squishy
The only condi that overpowers everything is necros and they’re being brought in line. HGH grenade spam can be controlled or bursted and if they run rez, no stun break and vice versa. I’m not disputing that condi’s especially aoe condi’s are powerful, but this whine about the meta is gonna be here no matter because that’s what meta means. (Unless I don’t understand what meta means… )
Watching Defektive play was particularly entertaining cause they were calling targets, calling out big stuns, and working together to take out targets, GTFO when kitten hit the fan, not over pursuing. I play an engineer, no where near uber or nuthin but when I’m running bomb elixir gun, flamethrower, healing turret, a cc war and any other dps can wipe the floor w/ me. When I’m on my cc warrior, d/p thieves wreck w/ their blind. I just wonder if things can ever be truly balanced as folks will always pick the most effective class at the time.

Not to backup the troll but Sig of Stone was an invul too. Sig of the Hunt was a free sprint. U’re losing a lot more than 4.x% dmg.
Instead of arguing back and forth, why don’t u, jmatb.6307, create a spirit ranger and post a vid beating someone. Even simpler, I’m sure there’s folks here who stream, have one of them spectate ur fight and post it. I’d luv to see the “ease” of which u kick kitten …

I’m looking for a “guide” that’ll suggest what builds are effective for the different roles in WvW. I scoured the first few pages and see several different builds, some w/ explanations and others w/ little detail other than a vid.
I’m looking for the Masks, Drakecos, Ukinis and Shanks, to tell us a bit about why they run what they currently run. Pros and cons of their respective traits/gear. Thoughts on each others builds. Their ideal setups.
Ex:
Build name: Alkaholics Anonymous
Role: Havoc Squad
Spec: HGH Elixir chugger [insert calculator here]
Pros: Permasprint, condi burst, fast paced.
Cons: Vulnerable to condis, low survivability

Main is an engie, luv that class. Saw the new Sky Pirate armor and want to roll a class that would utilize it. I’ve played each class a bit in sPvP, breakdown is as follows (games – % of total games):
Elementalist (265 – 5%)
Mesmer (168 – 3%)
Necromancer (77 – 1%)
So I understand the gameplay of them all and equally, they’re fine. I guess my question is more geared towards overall (wvw, sPvP, open world pve, dungeons/fractals) which class contributes more. I’d really like to get into wvw but my only 80 and an engie and in zvz I get retal’d to death, what class offers more to the zerg. The meta for dungeons is 4 wars and a mesmer, do ele’s and necros offer much? Is leveling any of these 3 classes a chore, I remember reading ele leveling was terrible. I would be leaning towards necro but the SOTG has me fearing a nerf and every class’s community complains that their class is beyond broken and should be scrapped.
TL;DR – What are your personal opinions on each class.

Healing Turret is AMAZING, overcharge, the blow ur shield 4, detonate turret, and rocket boots for 3 blast finishers. If u’re running bomb kit also, u can drop bob before for 4 blast finishers @ 1.5k heal each depending on gear. Plus the regen…

I’ve played every class in wvw to 80, full exotics, and various builds – I even have three rangers for different racial skills
I have played T1 EU, T2, T4, T7 and T8, and probably all the tiers inbetween.
I avoid T1 like the plague- might be nice to clock up wExp like it going out of fashion but 3 hour queues in my limited (nowadays) wvw time isn’t my idea of fun and relaxation.
And I was talking about the 20-30 man ‘zergs’ when I mentioned it all being guardians, eles and thiefs.
Dependent on the time of day and whether the guild is running something decides which class I will play, although generally it is a bow ranger as I like a challenge:-)
Necro was fun for a while until loads of them appeared, and mesmer glamour support build was great until the nerf bomb fell on it- now it feels like kitten into the wind whilst retaliation still eats me if I try a barrage on a zerg…
10 characters in full exotics? I’d be burned out too. Go outside sometimes…

Do all people think rangers are a dead weight in dungeons? With shortbow I spam 1.5k crits and that will be even higher when I get better gear…
warrior spam 4,5k crits with his axe autoattack and it’s only his autoattack. probably thats why.
99% of rangers uses bows. bows sucks. ranged damage will be always lower than melee, and in normal dungeons you can melee 100% of the time.
Thats why another longbow/shortbow ranger with bear makes everybody sad.Change build, change traits, change skills. Use sword, greatsword. Applie some boons, do whatever to boost party, use pets, change them sometimes.
Not just sit on kitten from 1500 range and deal some funny damage with you bow. 10k rapidfire is not “high damage” for 5 seconds channel, its just 2k dps for the god sake.I like my ranger. I constatly trying to find best build for her. I’ve started with bows, than gs tank, now full dps sword/greatsword. I’m not planning to use bow ever again, boring, useless, not fun.
PS to ranged damage
my engi with nades deals around 1k damage (crit) per nade on 1st skill, (so 3k) + vuln + bleed + 2nd 4nd and f skill hits way way harder.
1500 range, aoe 5 targets. Beat it with you bow.

I don’t think u understand my quandary. They’re not trying to win, they’re farming glory. They get more points farming the 2 or 3 they find at a node and flipping it than defending or trying to win.
I hide around corner and flip node, 20 points.
They run to node, flip it and kill 3 people, 65 points.
They ignored Ruins and just took Dock and Beach over and over. My team won, they got double the glory.
I’m not sure what u’re asking Abbehemoth? They basically rolled as a group w/ mass aoe and 10 skirmishing + 5 kill plus the 20 for flipping a node.
So I’m in a game on Capricorn and the other team is zerging back and forth. We take it right after them and the losing team gets max 300 pts vs the winning team’s max 175 pts. They start talking trash and we go back and forth about wins vs pts in hot join but in the end, he’s right, they’re rewarded for not playing objectives and just getting kills.
