I have full apothecary exotic (alturism runes) and ascended gear, 2 giver’s pistols, shaman shield and pistol. Create a build for pve and wvw that can actually kill people while being survivable. Perplexity runes?
Actually after getting some gear, I wakittenting 6k and I had sigil of force and was wearing a green ring and 2 green trinkets. Everything else was ascended or exotic. If the champ hit me once I was dead though.
I don’t want to get in an argument w/ you about what features are available in my own race. I’ll let u have that argument. I just want some of the features a MAJORITY of africans have.
Actually, if you take Burst Mastery, you could do a 3 bar Skull Crack, swap to Axe and you’d have 15 strikes (50%) adrenaline right there and then. That hitting up to 12k is rather unlikely though.
U can land 15 strikes w/ axe in 4 secs? Wow, didn’t know that…
Blind, lots of blinds oh and teleports oh and u can apply weakness w/ ur bow right? U can’t eat a 12K evis after skullcrack cause the war used his rage for skullcrack. Thieves, mesmers, and stability guardians are the toughest fights for us…
Shifu’s model looks like a white/asian in blackface. The most African featured character model is Braham, but his face isn’t recreate-able but has all the features I’m looking for. Also, if I could use Rox’s hairstyle I may have a charr toon also.
You’re right, I should have stated that better. In sPvP I play a 0/10/30/0/30 build similar to yours. I got to lvl 25 in a day doing the Queen’s Jubilee kitten. As I was looking @ Courgi.7918’s build I didn’t see Warrior’s sprint and I know it’s kitten awesome and I was just curious if he had some insight why he didn’t like the talent.
Savage leap into a group of mobs, lay down Combustive Shot, proceed with 2, 3,4 or 5, then Whirling Axe. Everything melts and you have full adrenaline to repeat the process. Survivability is outrageous thanks to Cleansing Ire, Dogged March and your two passive regens.
Protip: You can dodge without interrupting Whirling Axe for added survivability.
Is this still valid post 6/25? Is Deep Strike still worth it? Does anyone use Warrior’s Sprint for leveling?
Now, I know this sounds kinda attn seeking but I assure you it’s not my intent. I would have gone w/ the Elonan female half braided hairstyle but I don’t like most of the medium/heavy armor for females.
All the hair is too straight for a black male, even w/ lip and nose sliders, I can’t seem to find a decent look. PS. I’m not a fan of the afro.
For the record, out of 8 char slots, this would be my first non asura.

And i love how you saying “GS is easy to counter” when in fact the skull crack is the real problem. No kitten GS is easy enough to counter, but a 4sec stun every 7.6 sec is a little bit harder to deal with.

Show the same video a human and the weapons and casting are indistinguishable. At worst, have Tourney Organizers mandate humans. A-Net banning Asura would be very bad…

They didn’t “cheese their way to the championship”. They are great players that played the most effective builds atm. They definitely deserved to win. They played the best and none of their players got carried.
I don’t think running 2 spirit ranger is cheese (3 would be imo) although i do think its imbalanced to have more than 1 unique class on a team. Whats really sad is that one of their core members (skovex) who is an amazing player had to step down from the team because he plays ele/war and he knew they wouldn’t be able to win with an ele or war.
I didn’t mean to discredit or disrespect any of the players in [SYC]. I’m sure I’ve run against each of them at some point while being a hotjoin hero and been face down awaiting the rez timer. But anytime a team has 2 of a particular build, one that utilizes passive buffs, one that’s generally regarded as…ummm…not so high ceiling ish…it begs the question of balance. They used the tools put in front of them by A-Net to win, kudos to them. I just would like my fav game’s top pvp representative to not have a cloud of question hanging over them.

Most people choose Asura for cool animations and just all around awesome race. Also, larger toons seem slow and blocks views in tight places. This tends to lead to people whining that they have an “advantage” in PvP/WvW but if u look @ both the winning team in US and EU, they had more humans than asura. I guess humans have and advantage too, huh? /s

AR elixir bomb engis only survive a bit longer and if a necro has good timing the engi is screwed long before 25% health. So many others have also stated how easy it is for a necro to kite around and soft cc (cripple/chill) warriors.
This isn’t a 1v1 game. Then engie should survive long enough to cap a point and wait for backup. The warrior has as many dodges, zerker stance, stability and an 3.x sec stun on a 7.x cooldown w/ other stuns, his dmg may not be great but he can lock down the necro for his teammate to secure the kill.
Either way, my point still stands, there are counters to necros, people don’t want to play them.

Well if you bothered to read what I originally asked for then you would realise that it requires no work or resources. I just wanted asura banned from these professional tournaments to make viewing better. I don’t have a problem with asura in general, but I think seeing 8 of them all jumping around each other does look silly, and I think most people would agree. Imagine a League of Legends game where everyone was playing those teemo things.
You keep saying, that’s not what my thread is about. That’s not how it starts but that’s what it turned into. Frankly, I’d it would stop the asura hate, then ban every race except a set sized human. Don’t want to hear about norm body blocking with giant phantasms.

I’m not whining about any advantage Asura players have, I’m saying that the over abundance of Asura in this pax tournament is not a good viewing experience on twitch. The human players were always much better to watch because of how much more visible all their actions were.
U may not be saying that but a lot of people in this thread are. I and most others can tell their animation just fine. I’ve never lost a fight and gone, kitten , I couldn’t tell their animation to dodge in time.
As far as viewing, I’ve already made my point, make them all human as a requirement of the tourney, not a function of ANet. I’d happily watch 5 scantily clad light armor any day.

I actually went and tried out all the race’s for engineer to take a look at racials. armor, animations and camera angles for them.I had originally went with charr but “iron legion engineer” is way too common so I decided to reroll just about a day ago. Was not a fan of the norn animations and while the asura had some great animations I don’t like the tiny equipment issue. Humans and Sylvari share most of if not all their animations so it was just based on how I would prefer them looking so I went with human after doing armor previews and some other checking, and I’m glad I did I’m very happy with my human engy.
I wanna try the build in Phineas sig but I went full apothecary and I’m a ring away from a complete set. Guess I’ll keep going down the draco dustslinger route…
