To be the third person on the thread to tell you, you want Tarnished Coast hands down. Its the unofficial RP server.
A fair point. Sounds like you got a plan then!
While a possibly good idea, there’s always the possibility of material price deflation or ecto inflation. How prices change is nearly a complete gamble (unless you are entirely into the economics of the game). Also, consider how many ectos you will need in the end and the rate you acquire them before selling them all.
Well…. while on WvW last night I saw someone on my server that looked like a ghost (pretty much like the pic from OP). We were getting ready to meet up with another zerg so I didn’t have time to ask about the armor. We weren’t in combat at the time just running towards it.
If I see the person again I’ll ask.
Tonics and Omnomberry Ghosts can both make you look like a Ghost. The Omnom berry gives you a temporary ghost feature while the tonic is, well you know how tonics work by now I’m sure haha
Personally, I just gain gold and materials over time by playing what I want (Often Fractals and some CoF farm) which Fractals will put out some T6 and money while CoF is a money focus. Once I finish my Clovers (33 left, just haven’t crafted em is all) then I’ll likely just start buying them.
But I have a huge list of to buy…
-Charged Lodes
-T6 Mats
-100 Runestones
-Precursor?
Possibly more, not sure haha
You are aware that such a site (out of game game services, not LFG specifically) has been used before, not by its creators but by a third party (gold sellers) to target groups of players for attack/exploit?
Again I can see some reasons why it might be taking a while, but that doesn’t mean I need to advocate some potentially dodge site.
Care to expand and apply to gw2lfg in particular? You said not LFG particularly, but why would this be applicable then to this case of LFG?
I’m currently patching the game after a disc install and after reading over the forums I thought that I would get more feedback from the player base here that came before me. I’m TOTALLY new to Guild Wars 2 – I haven’t touched Guild Wars 1 in…well, years. I hated the click to move everywhere feature in GW1, which is one of the main reasons why I stopped playing it. I thought, though – that I would give GW2 a chance.
What are some of the things that you think I as a new player will really look forward to? (I enjoy challenges, PvE content, achievements, Role Play, great friends and lore most.)
What are some of the things that you think are a turn-off to most new players? There’s always a rainy cloud somewhere else in the world – even on a bright and sunny day in Chicago.
I’d like to hear from the players what they think is great about this game and why I should definitely play it. Looks like I’m going to be patching for several more hours. (Are there servers? If so, which server do you suggest?) Are you a guild recruiting looking for more people? Why should I join? Give me all of the feedback, all of the things!!
~Cyb3l
Well, let me throw in my two cents (I’m typing this without having seen what the other person’s decent post is, so I might say a few things that are repetitive)
I haven’t touched Guild Wars 1 in…well, years. I hated the click to move everywhere feature in GW1, which is one of the main reasons why I stopped playing it
Good news, no more click to move! It’s all direct active combat. Including dodging
What are some of the things that you think I as a new player will really look forward to? (I enjoy challenges, PvE content, achievements, Role Play, great friends and lore most.)
Forewarning-This might be a bit jumbled but my thoughts are here to say the least :p
I believe Tarnished Coast is the unofficial RP server to address the RP. The lore itself is pretty fascinating (I enjoyed the books as well). The Dungeons are pretty entertaining, and are slowly being properly balanced. The classes are all enjoyable and have a different feel. No trinity. There are plenty of achievements to pursue with more on the way. You can multi-guild which is nice. [For instance, I’m in 4 guilds;
1- I originally joined for a community entering the game
2- The guild runs guild buffs often that directly help me (I typically rep this one)
3- A guild for fractal 40+ players which is nice for grouping
4- My own guild I use for a Guild Bank]
The personal story is adequate, it kind of falls short to the end. I won’t ruin the end, but often people feel let down. The community is pretty good as well.
Also, I advise you to consider binding dodge to a key and disabling double-tap to dodge in the options. While you’re in the options, check em out, there’s some you might want to enable/disable that if you don’t look, you’ll never know (took me several weeks before I actually discovered some of the toggles just by looking, and they are pretty nice)
What are some of the things that you think are a turn-off to most new players?
No trinity (no defined roles), active combat (can be very mobile combat), can be a ton to take in at once, lack of a tutorial, understanding the trait and skill system
And like emikochan said, stay away from the forums for a while once you get into the game. There is a TON of negativity on the forums here as opposed to positives (my guess is the majority of happy people are in the game playing, I’m here when I can’t be playing haha). I’m not saying don’t come back, but until you get a full taste of the game for yourself, stay away.
Yeah first week of the game I lost almost all my money right before I needed the 1g for my trait book because I thought I needed to do it to get up to the vista on the tower and I breezed through the dialog….I was devastated when I lost my money…
If I recall, some of the newer rings can’t be infused at the moment due to some errors. I don’t know if it applies to that ring or not, or if that has been fixed, but I know that was happening at one point.
Just adding to what’s been said, I’ve seen some ridiculously tanky Necro’s that can use Death Shroud incredibly.
I’m not Italian but that’s pretty cool!
Looks like Cavalier’s equipment isn’t quite widespread in the game yet. Aside from that dagger, it looks like only trinkets and backpieces come in Cavalier variants.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_stats#Level_80_exotic_equipment
Looks like your other option is http://www.gw2db.com/items/73067-cavaliers-ceremonial-dagger but that says no more than the Tribal dagger. Not for sale though or craft!
Best of luck!
ALk – I love Fractals, so I’ll happily keep doing them. Guess it’s just bad luck on my part! I’ve only done 60 fractals between 1-9, but I had expected at least 1 in that time. Maybe better drops at higher levels.
Also could be the case, I think I started seeing more 20+, but thats just because I powered through frac levels so quickly that I didn’t linger in lower levels long, but the Maw chest seems generous with cores moreso than the other chests. Make sure to run even levels. Extra loot, extra chests, extra chances for cores.
If you don’t have any AR (Agony Resist), don’t worry about it for like levels 10-19. Hopefully by 15 or so you’d find a ring from the daily chest, but otherwise Agony isn’t too bad and is relatively easily dodgeable (you’ll learn each boss’s choreographed attacks that put out Agony and be able to dodge almost every single one, toughest likely being Dredge boss on Dredge fractal, and possibly Lava Shaman pending on how well you can see a bullet coming your way)
Important note missing from Engineer. If you are going to use the Grenade Kit you should turn on the “Fast-Cast Ground Targetting”. Your hands will thank you for it.
Learning how to play with that on is a good idea even if you don’t play an engineer with a grenade kit. Combat is a lot smoother with that enabled.
I would disagree, I tried for a while, and it removes precision control over the grenades, or any aoe for that matter, that’s the give and take of fast casting. I like to see how exactly my grenades sill fall or if ny shot is bring clipped by something.
As an engineer main, I think I like your engi part OP. To say the least it can definitely be a complex class to learn and understand fully. Although, while we don’t have a skill to passive buff speed, I would say engineers are high mobility with the ability to perma swift (which is a higher movement speed than passive skills) as well as combat movement skills like Rifle Jump. And even perma vigor for increased dodge mobility. And skills such ad Elixir S for complete invul to reposition from a tight situation.
Elixir R is also a skill to mention possibly because of the ability to team/self rally in my opinion. While the utility itself isnt incredible, the tool belt skill is pretty wicked.
(edited by Alkron.1345)
Hmm, I am surprised you havent had any luck in Fractals, the Jade Collosus on the Jade Maw frac have given me over 10 lodestones since I started running fracs again maybe a month ago. Aside from TA and the associated god statues, your best bet from there might be just to play the game and buy the cores to transmute them into lodes. I would recommend keep trying fractals (even levels) if it is within your comfort zone. I have gotten plenty of cores and lodes which I just store and eventually use or sell. I make a bit of profit from fracs as well which can be used to buy cores!
A couple unmentioned things as well:
-NA and EU players/servers can’t mix, make sure you are on the right tab for your region (standard NA believe)
-The Level input is typically only used for Fractals of the Mist (could change though), often unless stated it is assumed level 80 for explorable dungeons, story mode may vary.
—-In particular to FotM listings, level refers to the fractal level players seek to play, not to be confused with player level. Typically assumed level 80 for fractals.

So if I understand your post correctly, let me explain. (I am on my phone right now so forgive me if I make an error in typing or memory)
BLSK gives a 50% chance for rare components such as ectos and 100% for upgrade components such as sigils or runes. Therefore, you ALWAYS get your runes but 50% of the time get 0 ectos, and 50% of the time get 1-3.
Master Kits, which I believe are equivalent to Mystic which I use, are around 80-85% for upgrade components and only 25% rate mats. So, 75% of the time no ectos, 25% 1-3.
The kits only affect the chances of getting the materials, not the bulk. I’ve gotten ectos off rates with even worse than my mystic kits before. But I am still pulling in 1-3 ectos regardless of kit. Just varying how often.
Edit- To add, a couple nights ago I salvaged maybe 8 rares with Master/Mystic and 3 of them put out 3 ectos if I recall, multiple 2 or 1, and two gave nothing.
(edited by Alkron.1345)
If it makes you feel any better, I ran a 49 today with 0 AR. While it sucks for you (I’ve had similar happen, I know), at least it was a bit of justice that they got kicked out too. What fools d-.-b
I literally attempted Shatter for the first time since this achievement was added (Yeah, I haven’t been to Shatter in a LONG time) and it looks like I already got 3 of the 5 Shatters, not even trying. I’m a grenadier btw so I already had AOE flying about.
7.) World Vs. World is one of(probably the) best way for your guild to not only get recognition, but respect. if your guild is influential enough here…you get the point.
Something i’ve realized, that the fact of the matter is, PvE heavy servers will stay that way until WvW’s incentives surpass PvE’s. That or thief gets nerfed hardcore.
However, if open world pvp were introduced…the tune might change quickly.
While I agree it’s a way to get recognition, I would say it’s the best way to get recognition within WvW. Theres a couple big names I recognize from WvW for SBI, only because I used to WvW at the start some and knew some of the guilds throughout the SBI community and the WvW dynamics.
Outside of that? I have no idea who the big guilds are in WvW, but I know where I could find out if I cared. In the PvE side, I only recognize a few guilds based on having personal contact with them over the months. For instance, I went to Legendary Karma [KARM] because they are a roughly 500 person guild and keep their bonuses up 24/7 (now a slight shifted focus to prepping for Missions so not as many bonuses) or other guilds like Knights Templar [KT] I recognize because I used to do a few runs with them and I know often they are good dungeon runners. WvW recognition is good in WvW. I wouldn’t say it overflows into other areas though.
And sure, if you give PvE a reason to go to WvW, then we go. If not, why should we?
on any server.
1.) what made you choose and stay on the server you’re on?(guilds and friends aren’t a valid reason since transfers were free for four months)
2.) what will it take for the wvw players to get you into wvw?
3.) wvw benefits your dungeon runs, do you not agree that helping us get the buffs you benefit from is the right thing to do?
4.)is it the repair bill that scares you out?(i know pve players with upwards of 200g, so the fact that they’re scared of a 10s repair bill is confusing)
5.) why would a risen priestess of milandru be impressed with your Sunrise?
I’m not PvE Exclusive but I’m pretty close, only dabbling in WvW occasionally
1. Guilds and friends ARE valid reasons. Some Guilds prefer server specific. Not entirely sure why you think these aren’t a good reason. I chose SBI because it has a good community and the group I was going in with, is on SBI, and my friends were all in SBI.
2. You can’t convince a PvE exclusive to WvW. It’s their choice. I WvW when I want to, I don’t when I don’t. Almost never am I in WvW because someone wanted me to be. Let alone often in WvW as a single player, you might not feel like you contribute when there are zergs running amok. Dungeons and PvE you know you know you are playing an active part in many situations. Granted, World Events and such are zergs, but I’m talking the general playstyle of PvE.
3. Not really. Those buffs? Yeah, okay, right. As a PvE player, specifically in dungeon instances, I am rarely in my own server. When I am, those buffs are so minor I don’t even consider them most the time. Scratch that, I never consider them anymore. Those rare moments I get an extra strike at an ori node or something is the only noticeable bonus. And seriously, that’s not a big deal.
4. Repair bill? If I was scared of a repair bill I wouldn’t be doing Frac 40+ or dungeon runs. Let alone I make profit when I do WvW.
5. What? Just what? Does your question even have a point?
My jaw dropped when I saw that…. It’s probably got the same deal going on as the Final Rest had….some patch will occur then 100 will appear within a week or two…
If you swap weapons fast enough you can keep 6 stacks of might after a bit.
Also true, there’s a 9-10ish second CD on it, but I believe Engineers/Elementalists will be the only ones to truly benefit from that because you have to swap to the weapon and that means you’d have to switch away from the weapon, then back to it, within a 10 second window. I can do that as an Engineer so with my runeset, I will maintain 9 stacks of Might during combat. But a warrior won’t benefit from this easily, if at all.
I actually wasn’t going to post cause I find the OPs claim just ridiculous…but because of this I had to:
You obviously didn’t see what those ‘innocent’ bunnies did to us in gw1 or you wouldn’t feel that way!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndkf1U_SdY4
No…no…NOOOOOO!! That is one of the most memorable parts of EotN for me, I loved it hahaha
If you’re doing some really high output, lets say 2000 dmg, that 5% will add 100 dmg. But you’d have to weigh in how much the +105 Power. Also true, if you aren’t swapping weapons often enough to keep that Might up often, you might benefit more from 5%. The other things is Might will stick around regardless of which weapon you are using, the 5% won’t.
Not necessarily. As a grenadier I benefit more from 3 stacks of might vs 5% damage. Don’t forget Might also affects Condition Damage. I’m not too acquainted with the Warrior, but builds utilizing Berserker’s Might might also benefit from 3 might over 5% damage, pending on how easily they reach the 5 stacks of Might with their build.
Calculations though, no.
On my Asuran Engi (Male) I hear Yarr.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that latest emergency ‘add sparkles back’ patch would have intentionally broken the event again, just to give the devs time to set Final Rest back to 0.00000000000000000000001%
Watched someone get it in my server 30 minutes ago. I don’t think it’s going to be increasing in rarity anytime soon, just decreasing to a reasonable price.
and here’s to Anet lowering the drop rate soon.
That was my first thought when I saw the build update or maintenance or whatever message pop up on my screen…
thats not what this topic is about…
Technically I was brining clarity to the first half of your original statement, since you are referencing a relatively new discovery that not everyone knows about, so I was on topic to your original post. Otherwise, best of luck.
Final Rest wasn’t found for PvE, only sPvP and tbh nobody actually cared how to get it in PvP anyways.
Actually it was, check the thread and TP
Can anyone give some examples of what is on the list right now?
Off the top of my head:
10 WvW invader kills
40 kills in ascalonian zones
40 kills in Norn(?) zones
1 fractal
5 sidekicked events(you’re downleveled)
10 salvages
3 skill points
20 gathering
Thanks! Doesnt seem too bad
Can anyone give some examples of what is on the list right now?
Why do you consider it a grind? I am in class so I havent been able to get on and see them.
@Alkron.1345
Because it bombs my kit refinement usage with a dumb, pointless and completely unnecessary “BOOM!”
No it doesn’t, read the description. Med Kit is not included in that.
GREAT, just GREAT, they even managed to artificially force engineer (the supposedly “versatile” class) into single kit builds… and please, PLEASE don’t get me started on med-kit.
So… now… we can’t use more than one kit, that means one kit of choice, healing turret as a must, the usual stun breaker/situational utility/stomper and…. what exactly?…. I can’t find a truly reliable option to that slot.
And why can’t you use Med Kit?
So let me get this straight; engi got yet another nerf, Deployable Turrets still broken, turrets still useless and yet thieves with perma stealth, 2 shotkill backstab/heartseaker spammers don’t get nerfed.
Really Anet, really? -_-
Actually Jon Peters in another thread said they were fixed or had work done on them, but it didn’t make it into the notes, among other changes.
Well that could be interesting. I don’t run a Kit Refine but seems like that could change things up a bit…
Btw, here’s the link for anyone wondering:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Game-Update-Notes-February-26-2013
Also, who cares about 1vs1 or PvE? This is very bad way to balanse classes.
Uhm , what? Could you clarify what you think is a way to balance classes? From what I see, are you stating that the only viable reason to balance a class is based on sPvP? Classes also have to be balanced for PvE you know. It’s a very valid and existing part of the game. It’s not just a sPvP world.
And OP, no, they aren’t weak. They’re different. Not weak. When properly built to your playstyle, the Engineer is a force of power.
Guys Remember… hmmn where should i start…
Ow yes the range, ye 1,500 range (I’ll have a stronger arm than Rifle shot lol).
Now lets say you have a Player Target at more than 1000 range.. now try to hit him with the nades and tell me how many times you missed, he dodged or he just ran out of it… nades fail on moving targets you need to be lucky and shot at the front to where the target is moving and pray to hit him…
Also if you spect nades you lack survivability so you’ll fell like a thief without stealthEdit: I strongly agree with nade1 autotarget and faster trows… maybe less range on nades and more on mortars rifles and pistols?
Just saying, while I haven’t WvW’d consistently recently, but if you’re playing the 1500 range, pretty big chance they are trying to close that gap, and the fastest way to close a gap is a straight line. It’s not very difficult to anticipate player movement, even a stealth’d thief can be predicted.
Spec Nades = Lack Survivability is a horrid assumption, I’ll leave it at that. It has a base to be made upon, yes, but by far a generalization. I often can out-survive my party unless I’m in the fray trying to soak up some agro intentionally.
Also to note, the Mortar natively has a larger range than Grenades at 1400/1500, Grenades only sit at 1200/1500. So traited they are equal, untraited, the Mortar is larger. Also note the difference in AoE size. And there’s a design difference that accounts for the range difference as well. Rifle/Pistol vs Grenades? Which can be kited easier? A Grenade (1200/1500), slow moving vs Rifle (1000/1200) / Pistol (900/1050), fast moving, (untraited/traited). Yeah that plays into the formula, can’t be neglected. Even at a closer range you can sidestep or dodge Grenades.
Alkron without doubts that engi is my favorite and engis have 2 versions of people, the ones who hate it and the ones who love it, iam one of those who love it. But I wouldn’t let myself be foolishly by this “blinded love”. I look at all the classes in the game and its not hard to see that… Just pointing out my overall view in the game terms.
Also I would say engi is the one that most depend on gear/spects and the most hard class to play.
I can definitely agree, and wouldn’t say I have a foolish blind love either, I love it, because of what it is, not what it fails to do. And I love it, because it matches my playstyle and rewards it as well. Despite its flaws. I was just making the point to say we look at other classes and consider re-rolling is an over-generalization, in my opinion. Let alone I won’t deny it has problems, but, it’s a fantastic class despite them, and it’d be even better if those problems were addressed, but I’ve never wanted to reroll away from my Engineer ever since the BWEs when I first found my build.
And yeah, it requires more player input to sync with armor and far from easy-mode. I recently made a few changes to improve my set up, and whoa. Just whoa. The input increased slightly, my output increased dramatically. It’s awesome.
Also to keep it clear, I love my Engineer cause it plays wonderfully, but I also have a special place for my Mesmer, I don’t single-heartedly solo love one class. But they fulfill different playstyles and having dedicated hundreds of hours to both, I still love my Engineer more.
I mean how seriously can you be when you say engineer is good? Apart from the bug list that still needs to be fixed, we look at the other classes and think “should I just reroll?”
I can’t, because it’s great. It has it’s problems, and it hasn’t it’s areas to shine. If you’re pointing out all it’s problems, then yeah, it looks like a piece of poo. If you go with where it shines, then holy cow it can do work. It’s learning to understand the class and how it works for you. Every build for the engineer doesn’t work for every person.
Don’t have time to pick at the rest of your post, gotta bolt to class. I’ve NEVER considered rerolling though. I have one of every because I want them (5 at 80, Necro, War, Ele still leveling) and I have no doubt in my mind that my Engi is my main and favorite.
I feel your pain OP….drives me up the wall…
I’ve tried making builds that can be swapped out to do all three and I’m usually only able to pick two and utterly fail at the third. So I would really love some advice from the pros. I know we can make some amazing builds, but since they nearly all require a total respec it makes them nearly pointless for when you are not sitting in LA/Mists.
I don’t have anything to say about build swapping, but an option, pending on necessity and frequency, is to carry the Adept Training Manuals (10s) and you can use one and it gives you back all your traits on the fly, last I knew (correct me if I’m wrong). Granted, it’s 10s and not exactly cheap, but it’s an option if there’s two separate specs you REALLY wanted to run for some specific reason.
Still could use auto-attacking on the first skill…skills 2-5 are for the AoE targets. If they’re reflecting projectiles, either stop attacking for a few seconds or use those. And it’s not like just because the first skill would be an autoattack it instantly becomes single target instead of AoE…it’ll still do plenty of AoE damage.
Why would you distinguish Skill 1, AoE, from Skill 2-5, AoE. They are all AoE, granted, Skill 1 AoE is 30 units smaller in radius, 120 vs 150 isn’t a large difference however, still AoE, still hits multiple targets. Part of the power of the Grenade kit IS the ability to place the skills wherever you want. You can lead the targets, and it was even mentioned before, you can toss the grenades in complete different directions! I’ve thrown grenades directly behind me while running away from an enemy before!
Stopping attacking just because an enemy is using reflect projectiles? There’s no reason to become a sitting duck when it’s perfectly capable to place the AoEs. Even more so, because it’s not an auto-target, you don’t have to even target enemies! That would become a MASSIVE pain in mobs. Auto-targetting would literally become auto-pilot and absolutely kill the skill input on the grenade kit. All you would have to do is run around and dodge while your auto attack could attack from any angle (unless they would make it so you have to face the direction you are autoattacking). And it’s a pretty dang good auto attack too so that would have to be cut down.
Look, I have no intent of offending anyone and mean this at no one in particular, and maybe it’s because I’ve ran grenades since launch so I’m used to it, but the idea to auto-attack grenade skill 1 on land is a spawn of laziness. The grenade kit maintains the capability to be high input, high output. The more active and well designed you are in running the kit, the better you are rewarded. I went from 1000-1500 average damage on skill 1 up to a consistent 2100-2500+, even peaking at having seen 4000 damage with my grenades, from good playing, and good design.
No but it’s highly unlikely. The poster CLAIMS to have those ranks TO GIVE CREDENCE to his post and that he’s pro and everyone is wrong thus L2P. Play that game, and you play with fire. I find that anet medals are a generally good measure to know if someone has generally understood the game and his or her class. YMMV.
Indeed, I don’t disagree. Either side of the table is slippery for credentials, I won’t disagree. But the Engineer isn’t just a walk into it, you get it. There is a skill level associated, like all classes, but it just varies. But also, you’re right, it’s not wholey L2P, nor is it L2A. I believe it’s a strong combination of both that can only be achieved by playing and learning as you go, as well as learning from others, and most importantly, what works for you. And while yes, I find Anet medals can be used to gauge time invested, but likewise, I can see it not necessarily either. Like I said, either side of the table is slippery for credentials.
i’m currently on a guild run but in 30 mins or so ill pm you and invite you, show you both my rank, fracs + if you do desire :P and nope, this is not a troll thread
I’m really only interested in the content of your words, if you’ve invested hours upon hours, it will reflect.
Oh yes, BTW I really do think the OP is lying or trolling. Mind you that the player base actually reaching in the 40s in FoTM is really small (OP claims to have reached 50 and sPvP 36). No one knows him (I tried asking around). Second his account arenanet medals are only 3550, much less than mine. I highly doubt anyone who claims to be a fractal 50 and dolyak rank has merely that many arenanet medals considering I have even more:
I’m Frac 43, do you know me? That’s really a poor argument to go after the OP, let alone an Ad hominem. Moreso, often people will have their own statics for running higher fractals.
And it’s not that hard, if you don’t actively pursue account medals, tons of people I play with have much less than me. I, however, pursued every jumping puzzle, World Completion, and more. I can’t speak to PvP achievement points however. But it all depends what you pursue.
I’d say the OP could be trolling, if he actually wasn’t bringing up adequate points about the class and exhibiting some form of knowledge.
(edited by Alkron.1345)
I think I did pretty good, just saying. Damage is also 2000+ basic attack. Seriously not trying to prove you wrong or pick a fight, just saying it’s possible. BTW, I’m talkin PvE here, not PvP.
Antidote != decent condition removal, that is why I specified ‘decent’, I see a lot of builds with just antidote has the condi removal, that is not my idea of jack of all trades, and wihtout the ‘decent condi removal’ my mesmer can fill the list I gave.
I accept your point entirely haha, but that’s why I acknowledged it as lacking as well
However, the rest of my build can compensate for that lacking. And often, with team play, this further can cover what I’ve left exposed. But when I’m playing at up to a 1650 range, what’s going to put conditions on me that far (Aside from bosses, which can often be dodged haha)? Between being able to dodge often and stay nimble, heal out the damage, and keep myself going, it help’s alleviate that pressure. (I will admit, can’t handle an immob at all, that’s why I stay on the move and out of range)
If I chose to, something such as a Bowl of Saffron-scented Poultry Soup would completely alleviate that Condition Problem though
(Currently I just throw in whatever food I’ve got on me)

(edited by Alkron.1345)
If engi actually lived up to the alleged design premise, in a single build it would be able to have:
- break stuns
- have decent condi removal
- CC
- shield / invulnerability
- heals
- some AOE / some CC
- swiftness (for a class with no gap closers, other than the useless jump shot) some mobility is important.
- break stuns —- Yes
- have decent condi removal —- Only Antidote, bit lacking there, but that’s why I stay further back and dodge
- CC —- Yes, cripples, immob, chill
- shield / invulnerability —- Yes
- heals —- Yes, Med Kit, Food Buffs
- some AOE / some CC —- Yes
