Just a nice positive thread. I was watching some GW2 videos on youtube and got that urge to play again. I am soon going to have cable and a brand new computer, I can fully take advantage of the GW world.

I had some issues with my account, and the speediness of the replies and quick help actually made me go “wow”. Definitely a lot more efficient then many other MMOs. Anyway, I was on the edge about coming back and getting Thorns, but that definitely tipped me over to do it.

so recently i leveled my character to max level and i have a full exp bar but i cannot gain any new masteries.. it just remains greyed out as depicted in the screenshot below. How can i fix this?

so with this reroll does it mean i lost all progress for events? like the blood stone crazed mobs. does that get rolled back as well? i hope not.. those were really hard to get. especially the bloodstone slivers.. but more importantly i wouldnt want to have to redo the bloodstone crazed monsters..

Once you have the collection unlocked you can gain the items on any character that you are playing.

That is a good question.

You only get skill points when doing Hero Points. When working on the elite specialization most get the HPs in the HoT maps. Each HP gives 10 skill points so you only need 25 HPs which is just over 2 maps of HPs so you’ll need to do a few in TD (3rd map) to get the 250 (25 HPs) skill points needed to unlock your elite spec.

Not for levellingup after 80, no. That doesn’t give mastery points; things like 100% map completion and maybe dungeon master will. You will get the mastery points from those retroactively, but only for that region not the new maps. It’s seperate masteries for the jungle and Tyria. Levelling up will give xp towards mastery tracks but that won’t be given retroactively, for now it’s just spirit shards

ok so i put 2 sigil of perils on the focuses? or only on dagger/focus set? and bloodlust is not good? should i put sigil of force on axe/focus set? im confused..

i took some screenshots to prove it.

quitting the episode doesnt work either. It reverts right back.

So my problem is that last i played my character, i did the living story episode 8 point of no return; Pact assaulted but now i want to go back to my personal story step which is 7; forming the pact.

so i went to living episode 8 and pressed quit episode but it came back again right away.. why is this happening? and how can i fix this? do i perhaps need to finish point of no return in order to return back to my personal story step?

it started after the patch and no it is not caused by me accidently hovering over my minimap and scrolling, because i know how the zom function works i just use my mousewheel to scroll out my character and sometimes that also affects the zoom of the minimap =S

i seriously cannot grasp what is happening.. because i always keep my mouse out of the minimap box on the main screen after i have fixed the zoom level of my minimap to my comfort.
As stated it also happens randomly even if i dont zoom at all on the minimap or my character. It happened a few times today as well. I just want to know if this can be fixed and why it’s cuasing these issues.

this bug makes the game unplayable for me! is there a fix for this or am i the only one experiencing this? it’s obscure bugs like this that need more attention! somebody reply and provide help

oh were you perhaps looking to start an arguement on my use of the word “behaviour” ?

perhaps i could enlighten you by starting off a list of things wrong with my pets behavior compared to pre-patch:

My pet always ENGAGED the mob as it was walking in the direction of targeted mob while i was sniping away at a distance/ post-patch pet has a delay to start attacking and get mobs attention, mob then ignores pet and goes for me.

My pet always FOLLOWS the mob when it is being ignored when it is still at a distance on its way towards me/ post-patch, my pet follows the mob but does not start attacking

There you have it! Two SOLID reasons that justified and shows you the problem with my pets “behavior”

before patch i always attack at 1500 range with longbow and mob always attack pet first(even when pet is on the way to mob)

post patch this is not the case anymore.. my pet is outmanuevered by the mob even when my pet is directly in front of said mob and the mob comes directly to me,

also when before patch update the mob will attack my oncoming pet but post patch my pet walks up to the mob while i attack at a distance and the mob simply ignores pet and comes to me. Is this intended mob ai change? or pet is just stupid now?

when i zoom in minimap in game (because default zoom is too far out for me to see poi,vistas etc..)

it will keep zoomout again after a while.

I mostly noticed it doing this when i reach a new location on the map, like zoom in minimap how far is needed for viewing pleasure then i go in water and back on land and when i go to higher terrain it zooms back out.. =/ but it also happens at random during other times.. how do i fix it?

PS: to clarify, the zoom out level is so far that the map is sketched and i dont recognize anything.
