We just moved to FA to get away from the T1 blobs, looking for some seriously dedicated people, willing to work with varying experience levels as long as the potential is there.

They’re aware based on the response from support. We likely won’t see a fix until after the current season when they do another feature update.

This is unacceptable IMO. I get that they like to bundle fixes into larger things as to not create much downtime. But they had the WvW S3 Update AND the Halloween Update AND the LS Update to address these and they haven’t.

Why exactly should we feel any relief that they’re looking into it when they have had three great updates in which to bundle a fix in? Instances like this are why there are GW2 user that feel Anet doesn’t care.

I also am aware that you said Feature pack, but that’s just lazy. Why do players need to wait for a feature pack update to repair broken feature pack updates?

Yeah, I was working under the assumption that it won’t return (since they seem adamant) but was hoping there may still be an option since they had to be obtained :\

I plan to hold onto them and my infinite coin regardless, it’s just a shame.

I forgot to complete one full set of the Toad tokens from the most recent Super Adventure Box. I have been holding onto them in hopes that they will at least be able to be used at some point.

Of course, it is my own fault that I forgot to complete one set, but is there any chance for being able to use these in the future?

Referring to the King Toad Z-1, King Toad Z-2, and King Toad Z-3 tokens. I am aware I would need the Moto weapon design to complete the weapon, which is what I forgot to purchase.

Hoping Moto will at least sell the designs again…

From what I understand, just talking to a few people that I do know, is that it really depends more on how they made the money rather than how much money they have,

IE if they are in a group of people knowingly manipulating the TP for profit, they may be limited on what they can do, where as someone who has just accrued money normally without the aid of others does not get affected.

Party owners having immunity allows reverse abuse as well… IE they’re automatically not bootable even if they don’t adhere to their own party standards. What’s stopping me from making a fractal group when I don’t meet the standards myself, and forcing people to be subject to my short comings?

Example:

I ran fractals with a friend, I was told I needed 20 AR. I had 20 AR, I died some and we got to the final boss level fractal and the Agony there annihilated me. I wasn’t paying attention and finally read the fractal level I was on, and it was a lvl 39 fractal. I had nowhere near enough AR to do it. What if I had made that party and was playing with strangers?

My “just enough to get by” playing for that fractal probably wouldn’t have warranted a kick in the first level, but if I wasn’t playing with friends then I believe it would have. If I made the group, I would be exempt from being kicked simply because I created it? Completely asinine!

Everyone should be subject to kicking, and everyone should be able to kick. Why should you be exempt because you created it? Maybe you’re really bad? Maybe you don’t listen? Maybe you asked for a group higher than your level of expertise? All warrantable kicks, imo.

I run dungeons constantly, and I have never once ran into an issue where I got kicked from a party I set up. This leads me to believe that you were not honest about your skill levels.

AFAIK only Thursday night NA time/NA servers had a small percentage of people having connectivity issues.

They don’t care about us because we aren’t part of their precious sPvP esport failure.

You’re only level 32 on your highest character. As easy as WoW might be to you I’m sure you didn’t understand everything at lvl 32. Why not actually level? Playing the game will make map chat make a lot more sense :\

Also, Anet does publish their update notes, why didn’t you read them?

Exclusivity makes things fun and rare. Unfortunately not for everyone all of the time… but this is why completionists painstakingly log in even when they hate the game.

I understand that it isn’t fair, and even though I personally would like to get the rewards that I was too lazy to get at the time, it doesn’t really make it fair for the people who worked the time gated material at the time.

Is this related to inactivity? I only seem to have actual connectivity issues rarely – perhaps 3-4 times over the course of me playing GW2.

The only times that I get “you have lost connection” is when I’m standing around, not moving and not casting skills. Typing doesn’t count as activity.

IF you are doing these things – or rather doing nothing – then I think it’s completely justifiable that you lose your spot, as the game is realizing you are not contributing to the map.

If, however, you are moving and having disconnect issues that are happening frequently enough for this to be an ongoing issue for you, you should send a ticket into anet and start investigating packet loss.

I think the problem is that there really is no reason for most guilds to go there unless they are karma-training. The only time we ever do is if the BL’s are dead and we feel like slaughtering some uplevels or whatever. It’s mean but it is what it is.

I think they seriously need to reconsider and revisit EoTM, seeing as it’s a pretty big joke right now. Some people seem really into it the way it is though. How would your ideas affect them?

This also concerns me slightly because of the possibility of there being in-game rewards tied to the purchase of gems. Mostly everything in the gem store is arbitrary crap that people just want – skins, boosters, toys, minis, etc – but you’re suggesting basicaly exclusivity to maps based on the purchase of gems.

Other than that, this does happen from time to time without interferrence from Anet.

Have at it, report away when you see me – I am not doing anything that Anet has stated is wrong. If I were, then I’m sure that the previous reports would have caused my account to be suspended or banned.

On the same topic, Anet has specifically stated that harassment is a suspension/bannable offense, and what has been happening to my groups is most assuredly harassment. I will continue to report as well; when there are offensive slurs thrown at me and such, I’m sure that will add up eventually.

I have two non 80s that I planned on leveling. Theyre around 20-40. Probably will never finish them now, because they broke this game.

Planned on using my keyfarming character slot to make a PvE guardian. Won’t be doing that. If something doesn’t change I’ll probably be leaving this game, which breaks my heart a bit.

Not going to go over the patch issues or anything, seems most people are generally dissatisfied with this patch and what it brough to the leveling aspects with the NPE and level gating.

I’m just really hoping Anet listens and doesn’t shrug this off like they usually do. I’ve loved Anet since GW1, and I’ve really been rooting for them over the years, but this patch leaves me really wondering what company I’m supporting.

The patch goes over well in China… but China didn’t have access to GW2 before it was “broken” by this patch, so how is that a good comparison to gauge goodness?

Even new players are mad… but will Anet listen or sweep it under the rug? I’ve seriously never even considered moving to another game until this. I understand the patch JUST came out and there are bugs and all that, but that isn’t the point. I really think Anet needs to address it’s community and answer for all of the negativity that is stemming from this update, it might restore a tiny amount of hope. I used to recommend this game to my friends, now I can’t stand behind this. :\ Quite disheartening indeed.

For those of you at lvl 29 (I saw a few) there is something broken with lvl 29. Supposedly it returns to normal at 30.

Also stuck here with a 1-400 that gave me less than two levels. I will be asking Anet for my 6 levels or my gold, because this is ridiculous.

I would be against this only because I like to utilize craft leveling… however if they were to give us more options for leveling that didn’t suck, this would be handy because I do always scramble trying to remember what’s on who

Thats a releif at least, that it goes back to normal. But I seriously don’t even want to play anymore. I’m only halfway through 29 and Anet easily owes me 6 levels right now from my crafting that I didn’t get anything for, and my AC run I didn’t get anything for :\

Just leveled 1-400 and received a whopping 2 levels. This game needs serious help or people are going to leave. What’s the point in having gold if it doesn’t make things like this easier?

A few weeks ago I leveled a necro mostly via craft leveling, no problems.

Today I went to level a different character through craft leveling 1-400 Jeweler yeilded a whopping 2 levels.

I looked all through the patch notes and I can’t find anything. Am I missing something? If so, please link.

I’ll wait a while to ask for a refund on both coins that we bought for our accounts. I’m trying to read between the lines and hope it is a release during WvW seasons or something – since they can’t touch their beloved LS but seemingly have no issues not releasing any new valuable PvP/WvW content.

To all of those saying they they’re happy it isn’t coming back because it being around or updated takes resources from other development – remember this when the tables turn on something you care about.

I am personally a big anti LS player. I do it because it’s there, but it’s boring and short lived. To me, the amount of time and resources invested in it is laughable for the enjoyment of it. But, others really enjoy it and are hooked on it. Who am I to wish ill on them for liking it? Pretty lame.

And for the record I hate SAB – but my husband loves it and I love the weapons. He likes it enough to do everything on both of our accounts. Win win for me.

She spent most of yesterday gathering wood to get foxfire clusters, discovered the ban around 4 hours ago when she tried to log in. Read somewhere that all of the accounts that were banned for gathering wood were already reinstated and she was worried hers was overlooked.

I think it’s to stagger content and make people feel the need to keep playing. I am personally against the concept of the LS as it exists now, but here are some reasons for 2 week released:

-A net is big on the “casual gamer,” ie people who play a few hours a week after work and have families and can’t devote their whole life to this game. Since they do time sensitive achievements for evolving stories, it allows these players to still participate and not get mowed over.

-The LS generally affects the world in some way through events or catastrophic changes like we witnessed in Lion’s Arch. It would be unreasonable to release this all in one package if it is intended to work as a community event. Sure, you could have it in an Expansion where a lot of it is instance based, but this way seems to have a more immersed feel when you think about how the loss of a town affects everyone, or how a previously peaceful zone is now totally riddled with events and intruders.

Now for the cynical:

I feel that they’re doing this to try to satiate the players. I know many who would have quit, myself included, if it wasn’t for the aspect that we’d be missing something by not staying. I don’t enjoy PVE unless it’s making me money. I’d rather sit there and not do anything than venture out and do something that doesn’t earn me anything. I like the game to be pretty of course, but if I’m not seeking a skin or getting gold or being “compensated” in some way, I’m not doing it.

The adding of achievement points that are expiring helps keep people like me playing. I don’t want to NOT get them, as achievement points do get me more rewards chests and all that garbage, plus a lot of these events give one time only items or minis, which I hate that I feel compelled to get. I hate the living story but I keep playing because they don’t stop them. It is an infuriating cycle.

I assume that, for players like me, it helps Anet keep us in gear until they get their heads out of their butts and do real updates and real zone “expansions” (not literal expansions, although I would pay for that).

So let’s rename this League Wars 2 since apparently Devon Carter hates GvG and everything that isn’t a cap map or a grind.

They better change something soon before everyone who loves GW1 quits this joke.

Yeah I apologize for this, I was basing my response on something I read in a different guildie’s post and not on an actual post from you or anyone in your guild. I read something that sounded like events that happened over the weekend with your guild, and did not actually look to see if that was what my guildie was referring to before making an assumption. I was in a bad mood last night due to some hardware component failure and I actually wasn’t even mad about this. Although it was what happened, we also had fun and there were no hard feelings or anything but I should not have responded the way I did without reading your post first. Was just angry and went from there. I’m going back to that post to delete your guild name from it because sometimes people only remember that.

The one got banned, the others did the rest, then they were all banned. It would have been better just to admit you were acting less than classy and move on from it. The denial of facts compounds everything.

Other than that been having fun guys. It is a definite uphill battle we never planned to win the week but as long as we’re sticking in and enjoying ourselves that’s all that matters. Staying classy is what we’re trying to do.

We initially did expect to end up double teaming situation but the other servers weren’t cooperating that way (at least on EBG on reset night) so I think that set the stage for the rest of the week.

Having fun seeing some different servers this week.

My husband and I are looking for a more active guild. We are in our mid 20s and are available for pve. We have higher interest in pvp, but probably need some guidance. Mostly the pve goals are item based.

We are looking for an experienced, mature and semi-hardcore guild that won’t scream if we aren’t online for a few days, but is not a push over when it comes to gaming. We take what we do seriously and our goals just as seriously.

School and Work travel, as well as our personal lives sometimes interfere with our gaming time, but we are on often and are usually available.

We don’t get our feathers ruffled too easily, but basically looking for some fun, witty people to play with that aren’t immature (as in young and annoying) and have similar goals as we do.

Other guilds: We have our own guild that is mostly dead, but we do rep it if we want to do something just together. We also both are in one other guild, who are our friends. We will be staying in both of these guilds, but will rep whatever guild we are currently playing with.
