Just use the DnD option: pocket dimension.
I mean, what do you think are these “Greater runes of holding”?
which leads to another question: If bags are pocket dimension, does my inventory collapse when I try to put a pocket dimension into another?
I never respond to fan-generated polls, because the questions are usually worded in such a way as to skew the results, the cross-section of people who answer are typically vastly different from the community as a whole, and the numbers are typically too low to draw statistically useful results.
(That’s no fault of the OP — even professional pollsters can mess this up, e.g. US Presidential Election 2016. It’s a lot more difficult to design a good poll than most of us realize.)I prefer using other tools to estimate participation. Go to GW2 efficiency and look at LI for registered users. Clearly, GW2/E users are going to have a different profile than the community; it’s a group that’s almost certainly more engaged in the game. So I think it’s safe to say that GW2/E will overstate participation, rather than understate it. I think it would be hard to say whether it’s a big difference or a small one.
Yeah. Every time I see such a poll i want to write a mock-essay about the methodological problems of forum polls
The mid tier karma gloves thing is an awesome idea, thanks for that!
When I did this they were invisible for me too. I know the cause, I was using my old computer which was a little outdated and as such I always had the settings to “best performance”. That is the cause for those vines being invisible – outdated computer/hardware or playing in best performance mode.

This computer wasn`t new when I loaded GW1! Using XP. Getting a new one soon. I got the following advice and am passing it along. Wish there was a sticky that dealt with the topic!
CPU:
Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3 OR AMD Athlon 64 X2, or better.
RAM:
Ram needed depending on OS.
Windows 7 – 4GB+
Windows 8 – 6GB+
Windows 10 – 6GB+
GPU:
Any GPU with 4GB vram or more..
Guild Wars 2 may have issues with a ‘Pascal’ GPU architecture at the moment and is still ‘Maxwell’ preferred.
Hope this helps and again thanks for help.
/wavehi[/quote]
Yeah, I think that was an oversight of them. The vines are propably flagged as “not essentia/decorativel” and when they placed the shard they forgot to increase their display priority
FAST would be orrian jewel boxes
not so fast but more efficient would be pact scout mapping materials, but thats more of a long term conversion because mapping materials are timgated and you need to wait for the right bonus map rotation (and if you want to be smart another 2 to 3 weeks until you actually sell these materials because in the FGS Week the prices will propably drop a little bit)
Another thing is that we have developed a very rigid “way to do it” in Raids, which is oriented on said figurehead Guilds (Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against them, and find their informations very useful) because especially in LFG you need a strategy everyone knows. There are propably different approaches that are also able to kill bosses in a comfortable manner, and especially if you are in a static raid group of friends you could try to figure something out.
TL;DR 2 Class balance in PVE is heavily influenced by social factors
Well, I think the problem in pve is mostly artificially created by the community/lfg expectations. I admit that there are a few cases (necro and ref for example) where balance is severely lacking. But at the end of the day you really dont need qT-Tier DPS to beat a boss. You need ppl who know mechanics and can play their class properly and still kill all bosses without a lot of problems, as long as you have a decent overall composition (enough heal, enough cc and enough offensive buffing).
The other point is, that the way we kill Raid bosses is heavily influenced by Speedguilds like qT.
It really does not make much of a difference if you kill VG (just as an example, numbers not reflecting reality) with 3:00 left, or with 0:30 left. Thats a difference of 2:30 that only matters if you want to set a new record. most players are not interested in that. I assume that most players are content if they kill a raid boss on first try.
Classes are different, of course. But, for example: if you balanced all classes in a way that their maximum dps rotation would amount to the same amount of DPS there would still be a best class, namely the one with the easiest rotation. If you now proceed to make all rotations equally simple/hard-congratulations, all classes are the same now.
Another way of ‘balance’ would be to make every class at least semi-mandatory, which is a cheap way to do it in the first place. Secondly it would make it super difficult to find a complete group.
TL;DR Communities approach to raids is way too tryhard. Class diversity also means some classes are stronger at i.e. DPS than others, which does not really matter in PVE unless you want to set a world record.
I think my two major points of criticism are as follows:
-i think the fight is extremely hard compared to the rest of the hot story. I dont have any issues with the difficulty itself, but there is literally no noticeable buildup that leads to that difficulty spike. In my opinion thats pretty bad design.
The second thing is the updraft stuff. The updrafts are really hard to see.
Can we please get a “Lore” section in the heroes tab where all these journals are stored. The way they are organized now is really messy. I still have scarlet briars Journal flying around on one of my characters. Especially if you have more than one character and the journals are scattered on many characters.
Because what happend there, with the dome seemed powerful beyond the reasonable level of a single human.. (unless that human absorbs some sort of Bloodstone that is)
That is because Jennah is a disguised Steve Bubbles, the deep sea dragon. She protected the city with a bubble, what else evidence do you need? You need more proof? She takes a bath every week! Totally a water dragon.
sounds reasonable
Ahh, so the Qeen of Divinitys reach has some sort of power bestowed upon her by Lyssa? Because what happend there, with the dome seemed powerful beyond the reasonable level of a single human.. (unless that human absorbs some sort of Bloodstone that is)
Regarding Aurene: Maybe she wants to get some leverage on Aurene? But yeah, that was out of queen jennas domain for shure and a big argument against it being Jenna. I hope it is not Kasmeer, that seems unbelievable to me.
On the other hand, in the “regrouping with the queen” story instance one of the Ladys-in-Waiting mentions that Jenna and Logan apparently are not as close as they used to be. A possible explanation for that is, that Logan subconciously realized that Queen Jenna is not the real one. If there is anyone she cannot fool its propably Logan I guess..
i think the big thing that alot of you who support dps meters dont get is that to me and many other players this feels like an intrusive method of survailance theres a huge diferance between that and linking how many li you have or being judged on your AP
Its the feeling of being constantly under survailance you join a pug you dont know who is or is not runing a dps meter it makes me feel realy uncomfortable
Hello! I fully support DPS meter! At least the One that I use that display the dps of only the people who is it.
I can’t read your DPS if your are not using it.
It help me a lot to improve my rotation, and my gameplay at all.So please, answer me, how it can make you feel unconfortable?
Well, I think there is nothing wrong with DPS meters per se.
But i have to agree that i find the notion of DPS meters that show you someone elses dps without their explicit consent problematic.
Well, the DSD at least scared the Karkas out of the Deep sea..
If anything, he is NOT a nice lil lizardfish
I actually think Lazarus is not Lazarus, the conversation in the end was quite implicative in my eyes. I think the Imposter is Queen Jenna. And yes, a part of me just dislikes her for being such an awful mary sue.
On the other hand.. think about it: shes a extremely powerful mesmer so pulling off something like that would not be beyond her capabilities. During the attack on lake doric she protected THE WHOLE CITY with a shield bubble, and that not after some sort of long ritual, but quite spontaneously, must be quite a feat eh? Additionally, some of her moves in this episode have been quite totlitarian, like disbanding the council. Additionally I think that kind of intrigue is not beyond her, she always strikes me as extremely intrigant..
Some people might argue that she is a mesmer, and therefore she would not be able to use elemental magic (with the bloodstones being divided and all that) but renember that one of the bloodstones has been released and absorbed by Lazarus, it is very possible that that one was governing elemental magic.
If they have some free time with no plans for a new living world episode or update someday soon, they better start working on this again because it can be a huge draw. Especially when the water dragon awakens and we could get this feel of having an underwater MMO, which hasn’t been done before. All it needs is a rebalance of underwater weapon skills and allowing all utility skills to work.
yeah, i guess a few more weapon options for underwater couldnt hurt either.. 2/1 is a little low if you ask me.
I guess we wont see any development in this direction until (and if, he feels more like a meme tbh) underwater dragon comes. But agree, underwater MMO would be super awesome
Yes this is one is about underwater content. Im kinda sad that they apparently abandonded that part of the game.
I mean it’s flawed, yes. But it could be so much more. Imagine Underwater maps with deepsea canyons etc. There is a lot of wasted potential here.
What are the main problems of underwater content in your opinion and how would you fix these?
Just found this on the interweb, with engineer being one of the current top contenders for small hitbox dps I think this one might be helpful. Rotation is more smooth than the qT one.
im currently trying to learn staff dardevil rotation. right now im having problems getting my dps above 16k, part of this is that im apparently unable to hit with weakening charge after i dodge, it always goes of in the wrong direction.. any tips?
BTW. I find it kinda strange that alacrity does not increase your initiative regen..
Another interesting fractal would be the Battle of grenth against dhuum
if you want auto gathering just buy stuff from TP.
Its basically a question of opportunity cost. You can spend your time gathering resources to use or sell, or you can spend your time to do other stuff you enjoy and buy the required mats of TP.
Gathering is not only a money sink by forcing you to buy gathering tools (and WP cost btw!) but also a huge time sink. If you remove the time sink part by auto gathering, they would have to increase the opportunity cost of gathering by other means, i.e. mony. At which point the system is just as expensive for you to use than just normal buying. Complete waste of developer time if you ask me..
Important Parts of LS1 to close story gaps.
-Breachmaker Battle
-Marionette (with optional killing of Scarlet)
-Something in Orr while the Gods still lived there
-Backstory for Lazarus
Well, here is my prediction: At the moment everythin is working a bit too smooth in the jormag+primordus department. There needs to be a big upset soon.Right now both dragons feel way to passive. I think they will start fighting before Taimi finishes her experiments. I suspect Primordus to make a move on Jormag soon.
Another hint of this might be the hot spring in BF, these things usually are a sign of volcanic activity, there might be a possible exit to the surface for primordus.. (soo maybe huge cavern maps in next expansion ?!?)
I think LS3 will be similar to LS2: a prologue to the next expansion, with the expansion being an ongoing battle between Jormag and Primordus that will devastate most of the FSP. I mean each of them is propably as strong as mordremoth now, with all that released magic floating around.. A battle between these two will propably be very close to an apocalypse.
My prediction is that we solve the jormag/primordus problem in the next expansion. After that we will propably kill DSD, he is too obscure and not really Iconic-a bad dragon to end the whole elder dragon story.
Last one will be Kralkatorrik. I think he is the one most suited to absorb the magic of all the other dragons. Like some kind of prism maybe? Aurene will propably kill him and save Tyria from destruction by rampant dragon magic by absorbing it all-I mean all that magic has to go somewhere, right?
All hail to Aurene, our futute dragon jesus!
Aloha everyone!
I stopped playing GW2 just before the release of HoT. Now I’m returning.
I always had a thing for condi-builds, and I heard they are actually kinda decent, especially in raids (GW2 has proper Raids now ?!? O.o).
Can anybody give me a brief update on how to play condi engineer (including rotation ofc) ) or tell me where to find a good Build guide?
Thanks in advance!
I think its the effect of a rune-set. Ascalon maybe?
PvE consumables are banned in wvw anyways (except for food)
I guess Its either Lupi or the Bloodstone-shard
“I have a dream, a dream of necro being useful in Dungeons one day, and Engi being used in Speedrun-records !”
We are still looking for more EU players !
[Ren] is a great, friendly and generally very skilled guild, and I really appreciate being in this guild.
Engi op \o/
/15chars
Dont forget the vuln stacks, engi is really great at stacking vuln, which is especcially useful in fractals, where you cant use FGS efficently…
…yeah, i know, but i dont give up on this because i think its something wort fighting/whining/debating for
I really think that the current horizontal character progression is not enough, i think it should be more than unlocking even more skins, which is the only horizontal Progression i could think of right now…
I think they should add more and meaningful options for character progression.
A few examples:
-Player homes (i know… old and long story…, tbh im not too much a fan of it myself, but it definitely is something many players would want to do… nice gold-sink btw…)
-New Utility Skills that get unlocked by something other than Skillpoints… meaningful, non grindy achievements for example (completion of open world mini-dungeons (some of these are actually better designed than normal dungeons IMO)
-Meaningful Legendarys that actually show that a player spent much time at the game (AccBound on Aquire)+ their aquisition should be less grind and more skill based, an easier way for PvP and WvW players to get these weapons would be also nice…
There are definitely useful uses for defiance removal, the Abomination Boss in Arah p2 becomes really easy this way, because you can interrupt his enrage-mode…
What exactly do you mean with BA ?
One of the biggest things that p*sses me off about GW2 is the separation between NA and EU.
:(
I wish we could at least guest over :/
Back to topic: Yeah, why bother with zerk gear if you could use TVH-Gear- zerk isfor noobs lol
A Katana … Cantha confirmed.
Cantha … Tengu confirmed.
EDIT: That sword is too big to be a katana, it is closer to be a nodachi.
That old joke ;_:
[…]
Also, permanent, unremovable, map-wide cripple debuff.
Did someone say “fiery rush”? I definitely heard “fiery rush”.
I also heard something about perma retal on these clones :P
There are many reasons against Dueling, i will just provide you my main reason: If you want this as a serious feature, there would be a lot of programming involved, you just cant copy&paste wvw or pvp balance, as you have to consider bystanding neutral players etc… I just dont think the gain is worth the time of Anets devs, as there is a lot of imbalance/work to do in existing gamemodes that should be done before. As you see, most of these posts have 10-20% pro duel-post, 50% Idontcareaslongasicanignoreit posts and 30% of those who say NO !
I think its just not worth implementing…
I dont have a problem with duels, but i dont want Anet to waste time on something like this, because there are many existig problems/bugs/imbalances in all gamemodes, and before they add duels, they should fix those IMO
For me, and propably also for Anet, duels are a project with a very low importance.
I would like to see a different way to acquire precursors instead of gambling your money, or gambling your time. Some sort of lengthy, challenging, story-line or questing or whatever. Even if I have to draw quaggans, I just want some other way to get a precursor!!!
I want my legendary quaggan-skin boots xD !!!
Simple Answer: No, I dont need that, i dont want GW2 to become more of a WoW clone..
WoW clone… That’s pathetic people. It’s like you couldn’t play it and now you hate everything about that game. World of Warcraft has flaws, but has some good sides too.
Not every traditional MMO mechanic is copied from WoW.Believe me or not, but Guild Wars 1 had factions. Yes, actually two sides fighting each other. That’s a good thing, because it makes PvP possibilities much wider, for instance.
And factions is a brilliant way. It’s not racial split, but divide based on player’s choices and ideas followed in-game.
It shouldn’t be everywhere, but for example in Alliance Battles (google it, WoW clone!) or particular areas. It spices up the game experience, believe me.
I dont have a problem with WoW, but GW2 is meant to be different to WoW, and I like that. But I dislike open world PvP, and i fear an internal war between factions would lead to such a thing.
So pleaso no factions with PvE Impact.
They could introduce itin WvW though.

Here you are, as i said, that build is far from optimal, because you really need those kits… anyways, here it is:

excited for a new map, but i hope it isn’t going to be all inquest because of that golem. i think they’re kind of a boring villain faction tbqh
I think the Inquest is quite an interesting villian faction, because they arent truly evil. But i also believe they wont be a major antagonist in LSS2, propably they only want to get their hands on that shiny dragon-power, but i dont think the Inquest would ever become an obedient servant of Mordremoth or another dragon. It is even possible that we will work together with the Inquest somedays if we share a goal with them…
FYI – Asurans are basic arrogance on legs. They believe they know what is best for everyone (doing the Asuran PS lines, you will see that). Even the Asuran governing Council is not white as the pure driven snow.
All my level 80s are Asuras, and yes, we do know wat is best for all these stupid T3 cultural+Sunrise Guardians… :P

Someone else hear that noise? It sounds an awful lot like “Squish me! I’m short and can’t wear my shoes properly!”
Yeah, but at least the rest of our clothes is properly covering everything…

The Problem is that Rifle and Pistol AA are incredibly bad, traited Bomb kit AA does about 70% more Damage, even with rifle mod. The lack of that will propably make your Build quite weak, i suggest getting at least bomb kit or grenades with grandmaster trait. I would avoid taking HGH, because its not worth taking in good groups, because you can either stack might or have a warrior running PS. I will try to set up something for you, but it wont be the optimal build for PvE, because that build works with at least 2 kits…
Ith the same with the Deathly whatsoever shoulder pads… propably a relic from pre wardrobe times…
I want to discuss the inherent problems of AI Builds in this game, for everyone that dont knows what an AI build is: An AI build is a build that relies heavily on Minions like the Necromancers or Engineer Turrets. In GW2 these builds have quite a low skillcap, they are really easy to play, because a MM dont has to do that much. On the downside these builds are pretty weak when it comes to highly organized play, because most of your Damage comes from an AI which is still pretty dumb (but apparently better than that of most sPvP Minion Masters)
On overall AI is not really dependand of player skill, which leads toa Problem: AI Builds being unfair because playing these doesnt involves Skill. As a result these Builds are quite useless in any organized enviorment.
Back in GW1 AI Builds where viable and involved a lot of micro-management, i would like to see that again in GW2.
The reason why Anet should not just buff either the AI or the raw stats is that this doesnt changes the core Problem of Minion Builds: they dont rely on player skill… therefore an AI update to Minions (exept Ranger Pets) is not likely to happen.
Therefore we need ways to value player skill in those Builds to get them out of their current Cheezy state.
Any suggestions ?
I currently try to get full ascended Armor and Weapons for my Engineer, and i wanted to ask what stats i should take for max dps/usefullness, a full berserker set, a full Assassin Set, or a mix between both ?
Looking forward to your Answer ^^
I think dungeons are still the hardest PvE content (together with Fractals). To actually finish 17 Paths in 3 Hours you need to be REALLY fast, most players dont achieve that speed (no one in my former Guild for example).
But I agree that the rewards for Dungeons should be changed, not nerfed though, as Dungeons, especially if finished that fast, require a higher skill level than farming cp or World bosses, and im still one of those naive people that believe that higher skills should lead to higher rewards.
My suggestion would be to nerf the amount of money, one gets from Dungeons but buff the drops from Dungeons.
