Comprehensive Ranger Suggestions

So I got about 3 rather long paragraphs in to v.2 and I just could not go any further. There is so much I want to change about this class it isn’t even funny. For starters I want to shift the focus from utility skills to weapon skills. That then means doing away with how many of our traits are designed. On top of this there is the pet and how to handle that when it starts becoming a liability instead of an interesting and unique mechanic. Finally adding in abilities for group roles as to fill that niche we’re currently left out of. There is so much I feel that is wrong with how this class was designed that leaves me honestly wondering what the actual goal of it was or if it was always just an idealistic dream a lead designed had. The real sad part is that isn’t even what’s stopping me. I would love to write up profession alterations and discuss it for 10 or more pages if I thought it had any sway at all. I love forming new ideas with people! I honestly just don’t believe they are willing to do a profession overhaul no matter how well you outline why there should be or the suggestions for it. I wholeheartedly believe they are only interested in band-aid fixes and anything more than that is just completely 100% unrealistic. Take the sword for example. Even back in development when they determined the function of the weapon warranted changes all they did was band-aid it and now we can’t even dodge with it. That’s just one weapon…

I’ve pretty much given up trying to contribute because I have no interest in Band-aids (unless they have Scooby-Doo on them). Short of a developer sending me a personal message inquiring about these suggestions I just don’t see having the motivation to go all out. Just like last time it’d be left unfinished.

Better to use your suggestion in a forum the developers actually frequent. If you see someone complaining about spirit rangers in the sPvP forum, post in there that you agree they’re overpowered but how awful the class is otherwise and use that to get into some suggested fixes for the class.

We want F2 equality!

Sounds like you’re using your attacks from a passive state so the pet is never in the middle of an attack animation or something. This would explain why you never notice the F2 function not work.

actually not…. I don’t have any idea how did You concluded that – I rarely use passive mode for the pet…. when alive she (pet) is always in combat and atacking some mob unless we are just reatreating so I call her back to me..

@Durzlla I did’t say that….

You said you use your Cat’s F2 ability before it engages the mobs.

Useless utility skills

Signets need a 30pt trait to be useful.
Spirits need a 30pt trait to be useful.
We have 3 traps that fill the same general function.
3 of the shouts are bad.
Bleeds on sharpening stone are hardly worth a skill slot.

What does that leave us with? Zephyr? Which was nerfed due to Warrior’s being op?

Don’t go Ranger, Thief, or Engineer and you can’t go wrong in a zerg. Of the 3 you mentioned, I’d choose Warrior as they’re over the top imba currently. You’ll tag plenty with longbow fire field. You’ll tag plenty with melee swings.

Get 30k health, 3k armor, regen consumables and you’ll be unkillable.

The rapid fire only went up to 10k damage. That’s 10k over 4.5 seconds. That’s really not impressive in the least. Now that said, there are tons of videos of serker ranger footage with rapid in the 10-15k, even 20k range. But there’s also footage of Warriors and Thieves do that in a single hit. Warriors can do that while regening 1k hp a second. Thieves have stealth.

If it’s fun for you, then go for it. I’m not convinced it’s as effective as you make it out to be though.

This game, more than many others I’ve played, is very easy to collect gear, reroll classes, and respec for a specific scenario. The other players are right, if the Ranger class was as good overall as the select few on this forum imply we’d see more functional use out of them in WvW. We have whole guilds up and reroll guardian and warrior from whatever they were because the current meta of regen warriors and guardians is so overpowered. If Rangers offered something meaningful zergs would take notice.

While I don’t doubt the skills or abilities of players like Chopps and Tribio, etc, I think they’re overstating their overall worth to the zerg or meta. There would be dozens of clones all over the field if it worked as well as they implied.

We want F2 equality!

@Bredin so I’m lucky because I’ve never notice to mine pet not execute their F2 (using jaguar and wolf right now) only cases were when pet got nuked so he died before ended casting.

and actually.. when properly played we are as good as thief (not sure about mesmer, but with thiefs I actually don’t have any problem in 1v1 fights)

example with sword auto was an counter argument to Fjandi’s “pressing a key is hard thing” actually just pressing isn’t hard but pressing it in good moment.. that can be and both with 1hsword auto-atack and our F2

may I ask did You tried in previous fight to use f2 on your pet? it worked? got interrupted? didn’t launch at all?

maybe I didn’t have an issues because I’m using specific pets (stalk from jaguar actually don’t have casting time, so I can always see how she “vanishes” “in the run” going toward enemy for know as secondary I have a wolf and fear on howl works for me pretty well lastly I used reef drake (and didn’t noticed issues with his breath-f2) and when jump to the whole beginning I was using devourers of two types – and their F2 was “big cast and then something-like-rapid-fire-with bleeding” and “poison volley-just-on-pet-not-on-bow” and didn’t noticed any more problem that target sometimes got kille by me bafore pet actually loaded his F2…

actually I can see options how to give more control over pet to player but….
it requires deleting “pet-swap” as an option (to release F4 button)

but that was on the other topic.

This again assumes that they can’t just put in a new button. And even if they can’t and we would have to remove something, I’d sooner remove the return key and attach it to the attack key.

Are people just complaining their prices are too high?

Microtransactions should be micro in amount. I’m not going to spend $10 on an armor skin. Especially when I only want one piece of the skin. But if the armor suit was $2.00 or I could buy each piece for $0.75? I’d probably have nearly everything offered.

Look at Steam… when they list prices at market value they don’t sell anything. But they make enormous profits on their holiday events. Same with TF2. You’d think no one would buy those silly hats and weapon skins. At ANet prices they’d be right. But at $1? I have every item for the Heavy.

Prices are too high and the discounts are few and far between. I’m sure they make money… they’d probably make tons more if they were cheaper.

Piercing Arrow trait doesn’t appear to have a cap. Nearly every Ranger ae skill is still hitting 3 targets according to a thread in the Ranger forum that others have tested (I didn’t test to verify).

stop derailing please…most people know how good LR is. lets talk about bugs and testing.

my question is: why should all of staff ele skills, for example, hit 5 people? why should guardian walls and immobilizes affect 5 people? why should Earth Shaker hit 5 people? while ranger aoe’s affect only 3.

They shouldn’t. I’m at work or I’d have tested it already

As for piercing arrows, I’m pretty sure that doesn’t even have an AE cap so can hit 5+ targets (where weapons usually hit 3?).

LR doing damage is fine. It’s similar to blink for Eles which is one of the key parts of their burst chain. While the ranger can’t follow it up with anything meaningful (yet…?) it doing damage is fine.

I can’t watch the video at work. But I imagine each tick of well procs a new torment?

The rune has a 20 seconds cooldown. Even then it’s supposedly just on heal use like other runes, but with the cooldown it wouldn’t matter.

I haven’t looked at that one or the confusion runes but I’ve seen a thread for each now on the forums so curious how to use them.

Everytime healing well ticks I gain vigor though with vigorous renewel I believe. Will have to double check it when I get home from work this weekend. Figured each tick was a heal. Was tempted to try centaur runes.

Well if it’s all really a perception problem like you say (you know I don’t agree with you from my past comments), do you think simply improving Ranger animations would go a long way in ‘fixing’ the class? Like should all F2 abilities put a mark above a player’s head when they are used? Doesn’t even have to be unique per pet. Maybe just every time your F2 ability buffs an ally or removes something, a graphic of a bow firing is played above their head?

As for the traps (I usually use spike), they tend to go unnoticed because there are just so many fields on the ground and what they actually do isn’t very unique (especially frost). I could see the traps going largely unnoticed.

While there isn’t too much detail on explaining what the Ranger’s problem is… I do have to agree with the majority of people in there when it comes to their overall ranking of the classes.

Some of the highlights include:

Hah yes it comes down to this. One of my good friends (Gamadorn) is one of the best rangers on our server and he says it’s outclassed by other classes. I can believe this. I’ve analyzed what they can bring to a zerg and it isn’t much. Utilities get locked into healing spring, muddy terrain, and then survivability. Longbow is hard countered by retaliation.

#8: Ranger. This is the hard part. You see, I gauge the classes based on how noticeable their performance in the WvW field is, or how well they perform while under my control. The biggest problem with rangers is that, for every ranger I’ve ever engaged, they’ve amounted to nothing greater than “I’m vaguely aware that someone is shooting me. Oh, it isn’t a warrior?”. That is to say, I don’t feel their field presence at all. Which is unfortunate, since I see a lot of rangers in WvW. They’re usually defending keeps by shooting at someone, or in a zerg tagging someone at maximum range. Other than ambient fire, I don’t see rangers performing that well at all. Rangers might as well not exist. I mean, I’ll miss using their pets as epidemic bait, but otherwise… they shoot at people? I"d inquire about their chase skills, but I’ve never had to run from a ranger.

Even some of the more common Ranger posters on this forum go on about how the Ranger isn’t a viable option outside of roaming (where any class that is good in sPvP will obviously make a strong roamer).

I’m curious if others agree with this and what you would change about this class to resolve it?

Usually when I get in to discussion like this with a person and we have different opinions on the subject I find myself agreeing with some of what they say… but not so much with you. You have been incredibly hard to understand, you seem to only care about being right and proving me wrong instead of bettering game mechanic, and you constantly shoot out personal insults. I think it’s time you moved on, I am, it’s guild tpvp time for me and I’ll be playing my ranger, enjoying my one BAMF pet and kicking tail without complaining about a great class and a great game. Ranger pets get one skill, just like every other pet in game. Why is this such a problem for some people?

I run 20/20/30/0/0 with apothecary. Or did until I crafted my celestial gear. Spirit build that’s popular now works fine in apothecary as well. Really just get empathic bond and do whatever you want is my motto.

I’m human female, but I went hotw chest, pirate hat, ta gloves, scout legs, dragon boots (I like how the bottom of the boot is different colored. With scout legs all you see is the lower half). I’m still trying to decide on shoulders.

For my thief, I went with a kind of steampunk vibe and used the engi starter helm, the chest is the one with the white puffy undershirt (can’t remember name off hand) and the gloves with the fingertips being a different color (again, forget name).

I’m curious how Burn works… if I start the debuff and other people apply burn it increases the duration. But will it always be the person who put up the first one that gets the damage (based off their condition)?

Burning seems to stack just like bleeds but for some reason the information is invisable to the player.

I’ll try to illustrate.
3 skills
The Prestige Burningx1: 3 s (984 damage)
Drake’s Breath Burningx4: 3 s (3936 damage)
Blowtorch Burningx3: 2 s (1968 damage)

If these three skills are applied at the same time (and used as often as possible) the understanding is this will happen.

  • Burning icon on target for 11 seconds
  • Drakes breath damage at the top of the stack. dealing 3936 damage over the first 3 seconds.
  • Blowtorch second in the stack. dealing 1968 damage over the seconds 4 and 5.
  • At five seconds drakes breath reapplied and set to the top of the stack again. dealing 3936 damage over seconds 6 – 8.
  • The Prestige burns for 3 seconds dealing 984 damage.
  • Burning Icon falls off target

Literally speaking it’s 12 stacks of burning
((0.25 * Condition Damage) + (4 * Level) + 8 ) multiplier
For some reason they don’t let us see that in the UI though.

Incorrect. When something has 4x Burning, it doesn’t mean you apply a burn that does 4 times damage, it means you apply that 3s of burning for separate times. If all of those skills were used at the same moment, once all had stopped channeling, it would have applied 21 seconds of burning.

This is easily testable with Blowtorch: use it, and see how long the burning debuff lasts. It sure isn’t 2 seconds.

Right.

But take 2 blowtorches. Which engineer gets the credit for burning? The first one to apply burning and then the other just helps maintain his burn debuff? Does the one with more condition damage overlay their burn over the other and the roles reverse? That’s what my original question was trying to ask.

2500 range longbow - discuss

I’m not sure the range of the weapon is the issue. It’s just the weapon lacks the ability to apply pressure to the target. The burst potential is just really low. It has a knockback and stealth to try and help with the kiting issues. You can always swap weapons to help kite as well.

If the range issue is your sole problem with the weapon, perhaps a better issue is simply to give the class a trait that reduces the cooldown on weapon swapping so you can go to the greatsword more freely and not be stuck with a mediocre weapon offensively for so long.

Personally, I find the issue with the longbow primarily related to its lack of a bursting skill and the fact that weapon’s only way to interrupt is also the weapons primary means of defending itself. Shortbow has a snare and a leap to get away. It has a daze to interrupt to help apply pressure to the target. Longbow really only has the knockback.

Usefulness of Traited Signets in PVE

Most of the signets are awful without the 30pt trait. With the trait they aren’t as powerful as you’d expect them to be since they needed a 30pt trait to work. I really don’t see any reason they don’t work on the Ranger regardless of trait. Which one could you argue is so overpowered that it needed a trait to limit it?

Magic Find [merged]

Several months ago ANet said they were going to do away with the magic find stat. Have they said what they are going to do with the gear that actually has the magic find stat on it?

Will they simply be removing it and adjusting the other stats upward?
Will they replace the magic find stat with some other % modifier?

Since the new Celestial gear came out (why on earth does it have to be account bound!) I’m more in favor of the first option. gaining 3-5 more of each stat seems more beneficial to me. On the flip side, we still don’t have a real stat that is used to increase the duration of boons and conditions. We also don’t have an equivilent to toughness/armor that works against condition damage (technically vitality, but that’s a poor comparison).

I’m curious if there has been any indication from ANet on what they plan to do with all the gear that has magic find on it. Celestial gear in particular.

You completely missed the point of his argument… read it again.

I just wanted to point out the constant comparison that occurs with Elementalist by OP..
Ele =/= Ranger

That wasn’t his point though…

The point is that ANet has said they don’t want to allow Rangers to control their pet functions because it would be difficult. But then they have Elementalists that control 20 different skills at a time.

ANet should allow us to control a secondary skill for the pet as well as the F2. Just allow Ranger’s to turn it on auto cast if they’re concerned the class would then be too complicated :/

The thrown axe

I don’t mind the fact that the axe is a thrown weapon. I’m more concerned with the fact that the weapon is now so similar to the shortbow. As a ranged weapon, the axe is the only ranged ‘ae’ the class really has without investing in piercing shot for the bows. I really don’t like the idea of changing it to a melee weapon.

Alternatively… you could also make it a melee weapon and introduce thrown dagger main-hand that does much the same stuff axe does. /shrug.

Do you feel you benefit enough from signet of renewel to need 30pts in marks? While I love dolyak, protect me works similarly as well with more utility oriented pets (unlike cats/birds they tend to be alive when you need them).

I ask because if you can drop your reliance on SoR, you could drop 10 pts from marks, get 10 pts in survival and pick up empathic bond. Probably more useful overall imo.

I’m also curious what lead you to use the set of gear you chose? Have you considered celestial gear? I’m still trying to get enough crystals to craft the suit but the math looks promising with it.

Sun spirit does have an icd. The only spirit that doesn’t have ICD is frost.

I’ll have to double check then. I know I’m keeping burning up without sigils or runes with the spirit alone. Honestly can’t remember my build atm though. Don’t think I have 30 in marks still, but I could be wrong.

The buff from sun spirit will let you burn for 3 sec every 10 sec (actually a bit less if it takes longer to proc, but 35% is pretty reliable). So if you and the pet are attacking the same target, that’s up to 6 sec every 10 sec. If you have condition duration extensions, you can get this up to constant burning. But by itself it’s not going to be constant (unless you’re in a group).

Personally I found torch alone was enough for constant burning, and sun spirit/flame trap was redundant (only used flame trap if I expected to need AOE).

Torch 4 is a 6 sec burn every 15 sec or 40% (12 sec if traited – 50%).
Torch 5 is a 8 sec burn every 25 sec or 32% (20 sec if traited – 40%).

So between the off-hand trait and some duration extension, you can see how you can hit 100% between the two skills. Do note that condition duration primarily affects torch 4 since it’s a straight 6 sec burn. Torch 5 applies eight 1-sec burns, so you need 100% condition duration to get extra burn time from it.

If you trait, the proc chance is 70% with no internal cooldown. You can keep it up 100% with the spirit alone. This then frees up your offhand for a dagger for an extra evade or the horn for fury and eagles which hit 10x iirc? Each with a chance to crit thus applying another bleed if you have the trait. Shortbow is usually used in the other hand because of the daze and another evade.

Just because you have great gear doesnt mean you will do well. However. Currently there is no counter to raw condition damage, there is no – Condition damage even though I believe there should. Conditions are very hard to counter as it is very set up and I have had to buy Holebrak runes and Melandru runes just to play a Power build which is not even on par with condition builds. Conditions need to be looked at, if it is mitigation of damage through toughness (to a certain percent cap) or changing how they are applied or granting immunity to certain conditions after they have been clensed for a short time. Something has to happen because nearly ever player I have encountered is running a condition face roll build. It is getting a bit stale.

I’m fully aware that the gear is only as good as the player wearing it; but i mentioned it because i know some idiot would mention something about glass builds and whatnot. But yeah i agree with everything else.

Sinjet don’t forget D/P Thieves, very overpowered spec in WvW if played properly.

Same with S/D

d/p and s/d are not overpowered at all. Thief is generally only overpowered to players who legitimately cannot counter them through skill; other than that thief is decently balanced and excels in what it is designed to do.

Sounds like someone plays a d/p or s/d thief main that thinks his condition spam spec takes skill while the others don’t. I would argue that thief condition specs are the easiest and most OP to play out of all of them. Thieves get a ton of condition removal and the ability to stealth for absurd amounts of time while there conditions tick away on their target.

I think when most thieves realize power/burst specs are weaker now and start respecing to condition builds the real crying will begin.

Nah, ranger is much easier. Thief condition is also well below what Rangers, Necros, Engis, and Warriors are capable of as well. It’s still very strong, don’t get me wrong. It’s just no as effective.

I still feel the issue is that condition has a single primary stat feeding it where other attacks have 3. While this may be intended because conditions take longer to work and so these classes would need the extra survivability toughness, vitality, and healing power provide, the scale really isn’t balanced because ANet already gave these other classes other mechanics to help offset the fact they were so reliant on condition damage.

Take Necromancers for example… their ability to stack defensive stats higher than other classes would be fine because they need to use conditions. However, they were given death shroud to help offset the fact that they need to live longer so their conditions work. They were given warrior level health for the same reason.

Short of cutting condition damage by XX% and allowing them to crit, I think the best alternative is to simply allow things like protection and toughness to reduce their damage. Alternatively they could simply increase the power of condition removers (remove 2 conditions instead of 1) but also make them remove boons to help compensate it slightly (this is similar to how Shadowbane kept DOTs in check).

My only complaint, other than my eyes burning when I stare at the blue, is that I can’t easily spot the commander tag on the map anymore. I say change the commander tag color or change the blue to something else.

People usually use the sun spirit. I personally don’t run spirits and prefer a crit build and use rampage as one. But yea, if you run a spirit build most use the nature spirit. It takes some practice to use it though so don’t give up if you’re new with it.

Sun Spirit is enough as the proc chance is rather high and as you said, the duration stacks. Most people use dagger for the evades or horn for the crit bleeds and fury.

On a serious note other than the living story having almost 0 story involved is a good patch. Maybe I am the only one who cares, but skill facts need a lot of polish and I’m really happy with that.

Skill facts are something you have an intern do though. If the wiki has the right information, that’s really all I want. They’ve said they have a patch slated for the Tuesday after PAX. I’m condifend that one will be overloaded with ner… patch notes. Couple more weeks.

The problem has been explain to us before. It’s because of the pet skills activation times. If you press F2 while the pet is using a skill attack, it needs to finish that attack, before it can start doing the F2 attack. That, plus the F2 skills own activation time, makes the F2 skills feel unresponsive. When a target is too far away, the F2 skill can also be canceled.

That’s not an excuse as to why it isn’t fixed yet, but that is the problem.

I will say it’s.a legitamit problem, but it needs fixing, F2 should override any and all actions (other than perhaps movement). I don’t think making them instant cast is the solution, kitten many here think it is, because really… AoE fear/immob/chill or the drake breathes etc, just is OP.

My concern is that if they aren’t made instant, ANet will simply activate the ability instantly regardless of what’s going on, but the pet will still need to run through the entire animation before the spell actually goes off. You’ll never hit anything with a wolf howl, drake breath, etc unless they are actively pummeling your face in and have absolute 0 situational awareness.

While I do agree with you that instant F2’s would be overpowered, the pessimist in me doesn’t have faith that ANet can make the F2 abilities both work and be balanced. And if I were to choose one or the other, I’d choose the one most in favor of the Ranger.

The current sPvP meta is dominated by condition damage. It’s dominated by condition damage because conditions require only a single stat in order to maximize their damage. This leaves classes the option to focus their other stats on things like healing power, toughness, and vitality. Any class that can use these stats are doing fine in the meta. This is why you see about equal numbers of engineers, necromancers, rangers, condition warriors, and guardians.

Now are spirit rangers themselves overpowered? Hard to say… I can understand the complaint if people were to argue they were. Perhaps it is a bit too powerful for their cooldown timer to be running after summoning instead of after the spirit’s death. The spirits themselves aren’t overly powerful though. In fact, the most complained about spirits are sun spirit, because they can keep burn on a target 100% of the time (but the ranger could already do this with torch), and the res from the elite (which is on a very long cooldown so chances are once you kill it, it can’t be resummoned like the others).

Personally, I think the issue is less to do with the Ranger itself being overpowered and more to do with conditions being the name of the game. Since I’m a pessimist and I have 0 faith in ANet, I fully suspect spirits will be nerfed into uselessness come September 3rd regardless.

This is the only time I am going to respond to you, the Ranger profession mechanics are not the only class with this issue. Thieves and Engineers don’t have this dominate profession mechanics to bring to the group as well yet Ranger are in a better place then them. We have good abilities we bring to the table but yes they are lackluster compared to others. Anet is not going to change the Ranger over night and crying about it on the forums everyday is not going to make them do it faster. I am Sorry

Sitting back and ignoring it, which you seem to prefer, also doesn’t resolve anything. While it’s hard to believe ANet is oblivious to the Ranger’s (or Thief’s, or Engineer’s) plight, it has been a year with next to no real progress being made as well.

While you can form an opinion on the class being over or underpowered all you want, the more alarming issue being discussed about the class is how downright boring it is to play because the class is so straight forward and ‘passive’. It’s a shame there’s no parsing of the combat log in this game because I’d wager any ranger who really sat down and thought about what they did all day while playing the class would find out 95% of their time was spent auto attacking.

There’s little else to do with nearly every weapon afterall but to auto attack. They designed so many of the Ranger’s weapons to be reflexive/defensive that you do nothing but autoattack while you wait for a chance to evade this move, daze that one, run away etc. Every other class in the game has some kind of synergy and ‘combo’ they can pull off to great extent with their class to really apply pressure to their target. What is a ranger to do? They auto attack until the enemy uses something so they can use an evading melee attack, or rapid shot to deal 10% more damage than auto attack over the same time frame.

It’s pathetic. Ask anyone to list the classes in value from most to least useful in WvW right now and I’d wager every single person has the same first three and same last three and probably in the exact same order as well… ready?

3. Warrior

6. Engineer
7. Ranger
8. Thief

Thieves? They blast the fields…
Rangers? They drop the fields…

We’re coming up on the 1 year anniversary of this game. We will have no more patches before then. Are you impressed how the Ranger evolved? I’m not… but seeing as this is a Ranger thread, I’m not in the mood to talk about Thieves and Engineers so couldn’t care less if they haven’t changed for the better either…

The ranger doesn’t have a power option anymore. I’m not sure they ever really did as even with zephyr + rapid fire, you still did crap damage. If you want to play the Ranger class you really need to just go 30 BM for empathic bond, 30 in Nature for spirits or 30 in marks for signets, and 10 wherever else you want and play as a bunker with high condition, healing power, and toughness (settler’s or apothecary).

ANet doesn’t seem to want the ranger class to amount to anything in this game. They’ve left pets in a miserable state, they have no power options at all, axe and shortbow are nearly identical weapons, longbow sucks, sword leap chaining is not user friendly, you need 30 points in a tree to make any use of about half the skills available, etc etc.

Just reroll. Warrior and Guardian tend to be the 2 classes ANet focuses heavily on and condition Warriors with longbows are 10x the Ranger the Ranger class will ever be (or ever was). Short of that, start farming Karkas…

Do you even KNOW what a ranger is?
Because if you do, you’d know that empathic bond isn’t even in the BM line. Its in Wilderness Survival. Which is the “anti CC” line.

Nobody wants “just fine” (as a Ranger, settling for that is sad) and for the amount of effort or skill they claim to demand are hardly worth it. Also, I’ll assume you mean roaming or small groups and that’s not WvW, that’s PvP on a different map.

Enjoying a challenge is sad? Not wanting to play a mindlessly OP class that takes almost no effort to succeed with is sad? Please. If “nobody” wanted that, then there wouldn’t be any rangers left. But hey, there are!

Roaming is as much WvW as anything else. If you think zerging is the only meaningful activity, well… you’re just blatantly incorrect.

And you claim to do this with a power build? I just don’t see it being possible. There’s burst or AE pressure potential with the entire class. A Warrior is likely to regen faster than you do damage. Condition I could see, but not as anything else I’m afraid.

Pet won't do as I say

The problem is the pet won’t use the abilities when in the middle of an attack animation. It will be queued and go off when there’s room, but often the reason you needed to use the ability has long since passed and your ability is usless.

Has been a complaint since you left. Will be a complaing after you quit again. ANet doesn’t seem the least bit interested in this class.
