Tequatl will likely 1 shot pets (he basically already does).

WvW leagues are starting with Thieves, Engineers, and Rangers in a position where they may as well not even report for duty. Thank god they’re adding bloodlust so roamers can do something productive!

I also wouldn’t expect pets to get that hp buff. Spirits probably would. Not pets.

They need to remove the low-end longbow damage and make it deal the same damage from 0-900. 900+ gets the range benefit.

They need to make Rapid Fire a faster channel. Shave 1 second off the channel and leave the damage alone.

They need to remove barrage and give the class a aimed shot similar to what the Warrior has.

Make Barrage a skill, up its damage.

At least at that point the weapon would be complete. Then you could worry about improving knockback and stealth so it can properly defend itself. Things like making the knockback unblockable for example.

Then we’d have 5s less for blasting/leaping/whirling/shooting in it. A combo field duration nerf by 33%. On what is probably the one single “my class does it better than yours” thing a ranger brings to a party.

If i wanted more heals faster, i’d use one of the two other healing skills. Who ever complained about HS being too slow anyway?

Even if it was shorter by 5 seconds, it’d still be the longest water field in the game. By about 4 seconds. We’d still do it better than anyone else. ^.^

And what if Vigorous Renewal no longer gives vigor on each pulse?

Rangers do way too much DPS i guess, so it makes sense that they should not be allowed to evade too often.

Eh. I’ve always seen that more as a way of giving vigor to my allies. I’ve never had a problem with dodging due to Natural Vigor, but with Vigorous Renewal I knew I could help my allies that don’t have much endurance regen. It would be more a group support nerf than a personal support nerf.

It may be longer, but it’s very small compared to the Ele’s water field. Most would argue theirs has always been better. Especially since it’s Ranged and not reliant on you being in the melee to use it effecitvely.

Ranger well really is quite overstated imo.

I was with you until you said “remove frost trap”. I still believe frost trap is completely underutilized by trappers. Frost armor (-10% dmg and chill on hit), chill (-66% skill recharge -66%spped) and it pulses so it’s true area denial. You don’t have to exit the spike trap, flame trap, or vipers nest if you find yourself in it. But if you trip a frost trap, you are bee-lining out asap. As the user, you can do lots of 100% finishers with projectiles causing chill on impact. And besides giving a big offensive advantage, it’s great for running away.

I agree with most of what you said though, sorry, I just have frost trap on my bar a lot.

It’s still 5 people. And I’m pretty sure that it chooses the same 5 people if they remain in the trap as opposed to always choosing 5 random people each pulse so it spreads out a lot. And I replaced it with ‘frost barrage’ that does the same thing, but has a larger radius, does damage, is ranged by default and lasts longer so you really didn’t lose anything.

If you’re going to do your 1 spirit at a time thing it’s time to drop the mechanic entirely from the game. Turn them into warrior banners or make the spirit ‘possess’ the Ranger’s pet and simply give it an aura that does the same thing as your spirit. Make the F2 abilities also do the spirit onUse ability when ‘possessed’.

My issue with traps is we have several that are too similar in function. I also agree that either their radius should be improved or they should all be thrown by default. I really wish they’d remove frost trap, replace barrage with an aimed shot, and give us a new skill that we spawned a giant frost spirit that does his little shake animation and several waves of leaves fell to the ground dealing damage and chilling targets. Or you could just shoot frost arrows, but that’s boring.

Another thing that needs mentioned as well is our Signets. There’s no reason these things should require a 30pt trait to have their activated effects work on the Ranger.

Fortifying Bond should work the other way so any boons our pet gets we gain. We’re a Ranged class. Would be nice to have our pet gain a boon because they’re with the group in melee range and we benefit from it as well. Would also help with a number of our weapon skills so we gain benefit from them as well. While I’m concerned we could stack might to 25 this way, many classes run with perma fury, 25 might, perma protection and ANet doesn’t seem to care.

As Chopp’s said, all the shouts are too situational or limited to really use. The only one I use is protect me, and I only ever use that if I’m running less than 30 pts in marks (which I rarely do these days). They’re just all quite bad and I’m not sure they’d ever be improved to the point where we’d honestly use them over various signets or spirits. Especially if changes discussed in this thread ever happened.

I also am in agreement with Chopps. Something needs to be done with the Marksman line. I’d prefer if they didn’t make spotter affect the shortbow because I run shortbow so I wouldn’t be in any better of a position before or after the change I’d prefer they changed spotter to an adept trait. All similar traits are adept traits for their respective classes.

I don’t play often because I don’t have a team. I play with my brother, but it’s a hassle to get both of us on the same team half the time. Worse still is they’ve chosen a game mode that isn’t the least bit fun or tactical. And the icing on the cake is until you have a team to play with, all PvP turns into in this game is roaming zergs running from point to point.

And this doesn’t even get into the glaring balance issues, the fact that so many classes barely have a single spec to play, and I prefer the Ranger which is one of the most boring classes to play as it is. Not to mention I prefer to play as a Power Ranger and the only thing worse than being called a Power Ranger is how awful they perform in this game.

LB/GS well-played power rangers. If you have skill, you won’t even let him touch you outside of their longbow, but the requirement is having time and place to kite.

How could you possibly out damage a Warrior’s passive regen with longbow? Only way you’re doing it is if the Warrior’s 1200+ yards away attacking something else.

This isn’t DOTA. This is an MMO. There should be more than 5 buttons to push. There should be combos to wield. There should be multiple ways to play each class. This game has failed on A LOT of what makes this game an MMO.

I have multiple classes, but the Warrior and the Ranger are the least fun for me because of how straight forward they are. The Ranger in particular is nothing but an auto-attack class. While it’s fun to pretend I spend so much time auto-attacking because a lot of my skills are reactive, the fact that I spend so much time auto-attacking is because the oppurtunities to use those skills are few and far between.

I’m fine with the Ranger being a pet class, but ANet designed the pet in this game to be nothing more than a DOT, they refuse to make it live up to its potential, and the class as a whole is held down because of a class mechanic that is more of a hindrance than a benefit to the class as a whole. And if you want to play a power ranger as opposed to a bunker/condi spec? Fuggetaboutit.

Warrior isn’t in much better of a spot. While the class has combos, they’re nothing more then 1 >> 2 >> 3 combos. If you ever break the 1, 2, 3 chain you don’t throw in a 4 or 5… you wait for 1 to reset and go back to 1, 2, 3.

This is what people complain about. And it’s legitimate to complain about these things. If you want a game that has no depth and very simplistic combat you play games like DOTA. You don’t go to an MMO for simplicity.

Pets need less impact on the game not more.

The Ranger is a pet class. The impact the pet has should be player controlled and meaningful.

When all is said and done, the Ranger’s pet is nothing more than a DOT. Except where normal dots actually work when cast but have the penality of being dispelled, pets can’t hit moving targets, they can’t land their secondary abilities but once in a blue moon, they don’t scale with gear in any fashion, and they don’t work in PvE content (including WvW) at all.

There’s nothing wrong with pets. The problem is how passive they are and how little input is needed from the player to use them.

I agree with the development team. Some people actually enjoy the simpler professions.

And some people quit those professions because there is no fun in just spamming 1 skill

Both are comparable so you need to decide if you want more crit chance or more toughness and empathic bond.

Full celestial with toughness trinket with the above specs will get you roughly 3k atk, 2.85k armor, 18k hp, 40% chance to crit, 90% crit damage, and enough condition damage for your bleeds to tick for 90.

It’s fun and effective.

Secondary: Shortbow vs Longbow

It’s sad, but I find the short bow does more damage and has more useful utility than the longbow. I prefer the longbow, but it’s just an awful weapon.

The fast attack speed, directional bleed, evade, snare, and daze are infinitely more useful than Rapid Fire that does about 10% more damage than autoattack, a knockback, and stealth. Barrage is lawlworthy.

That’s the thing though… by simply giving players control of the ability and leaving it set to autocast would not change anything with how things work right now. Only when a player turned the auto cast off and they started to manage it themselves would things actually be different.

It is nothing to script pet recall on the attack button. Even without the change I’d much rather they add this functionality anyway simply because it makes controlling the pet much more streamlined and actually removes one of the keybinds we need to manage.

I also don’t buy into the other people’s argument that allowing players to control the secondary skills would be overpowered and would end up needing a nerf to pet damage in anyway. First of all, if pet damage were to be nerfed, they need to adjust Ranger weapon coefficients. A damage trade off for utility isn’t a reasonable option.

More importantly though, allowing players to control the secondary skill doesn’t really increase the amount of utility the Ranger already has. If you swap to a pet the first attack used, unless on cooldown, is always the special attack. The way players control these abilities now is to either leave the pet on passive until they need the control, or swap to the pet and allow it to use the ability if already engaged. The only added benefit this change would do is if the player was still in combat 45 seconds later and needed to use the skill a second time.

They have mentioned they want to shave conditions. I hope they focus any changes on burn in general before trying to focus on classes. The Ranger class in particular is probably the weakest of the big 3 condition classes since they’re mostly all single target.

Nerf Staff Ele / Long Bow Rangers

Longbow ranger can hit for 10k with rapid fire. However it requires the entire team to lock down a target for that burst…. Not to mention SQUISHYYYYYY long bow ranger. But it is fun mega nuking for that much.

10k over 4.5 seconds is awful. So I’m not exactly sure why anyone would care?
Aimed shot for Warrior can hit for 20k in 3.5 seconds every 8 seconds.

I honestly don’t understand why having glass cannon power rangers in this game would be so awful for this game. The Ranger has never worked as anything but a bunker/regen condi spec. It’s a shame.

i agree f2 skill needs to work when requested.
Allowing players to determine when to cast the 2ndary skill of pets is just asking for ranger buff. And the ability to autocast it sounds pretty OP if you wanna know the truth.

I only assume you don’t play a Ranger.

Setting the secondary skill to auto attack is exactly how the skills work now. When they’re off cooldown, they’re used.

Allowing a Ranger to control their use also isn’t much of a buff if you are actually familiar with how the pet skills work.

The first attack of a pet, assuming the skill isn’t on cooldown, will always use the pet’s secondary attack. This is why Rangers run with their pets on passive. Have you never been hit by a Ranger’s wolves where they knock you down, then fear you, then the second dog knocks you down, and then immobilizes you? This is a very easy mechanic to pull off when starting from scratch. All allowing Rangers to control their secondary abilities would do is allow the Ranger to effectively do this combo once the pet is already engaged in combat.

I honestly see no harm in it.

The Ranger wouldn’t become overpowered with this change. Even novice Rangers pick up how these skills work. You leave your pet on passive and if the skill is not on cooldown, the first attack made will always be the secondary skill.

Has no one seen a Ranger do the typical knockdown >> fear >> knockdown >> root chain? We already have semi-control over the secondary skills. It’s just too clunky (just like how the current F2 skills are all absolute trash because of how difficult they are to use) outside of the opening of an engagement.

The pet is currently more of a hindrance to the class than an asset because the pets are so easily killed, so difficult to control, can’t hit moving targets, and rely on guesswork once they’ve engaged in combat to use.

More control is needed.

Could do it without even needing to add a new button.

Make it so the attack key can also be used as pet recall. Put the secondary skills on F3. Allow the F3 abilities to be set to autocast so if a player legitimately can’t handle it, they’re defaulted to always on anyway so nothing would change.

This in conjunction with making the F2 skills more responsive and pets actually able to hit moving targets would really be nice.

As a side note… updating Ranger AE to actually hit 5 targets instead of 3 would be nice.

With any luck someone will bring up rangers at tomorrow’s sotg. I’m personally fine with the change simply because it made spirits more in line with other similar skills. But it’s disappointing seeing how terrible the Ranger class is overall and how little has changed in a year.

Lots has changed for ranger: best 5 point trait moved to 30 point trait (after quickness nerf which already hit that build), SB fire speed nerfed, pet condition removal nerfed, pet ability use on resummon nerfed, pet AI nerfed, axe 4 buffed, anything I’m missing? Were traps nerfed at one point?

But is the class really so terrible? I mean lots of people these days seem to think its the bomb in spvp.

Not all traps hit 5 targets. So while not ‘nerfed’ they were never working properly.

Most SoTGs people have only cared about what was happening to their class when they talked to devs, and then trying to get classes they don’t like playing against nerfed. Inevitably they end up talking about features more than they should, which, while important to people that are already PvPing, isn’t going to do a thing to entice more people to go play PvP if the balance isn’t where they want it to be.

Sometimes I really wish I could get a glimpse at the code used for balancing, to see what exactly it is that is so complicated about implementing certain changes.

To be fair, if they find things overpowered about their own class they tend to be vocal on it too. But they are quite ignorant of the classes they don’t play. Even if they don’t understand the specifics of the Ranger class, most everyone knows how passive the class is at this point so at the very least they should be able to raise concernes about that.

It’s just aggrivating trying to point out issues with this class. In the sPvP forum you can’t have a debate because so long as a class has some spec that works you’re not allow to complain about your class. In this forum you can’t bring up issues because of all the ANet and Ranger appologists trying to talk about how the faults of this class are justified because of the perceived strength of their respective spec. In WvW you can try to talk about it, but since the Ranger makes a strong roamer (it doesn’t, but it does well against Thieves so it has to be a good roamer in people’s mind) they feel the complete failure outside of roaming is justified.

Dogged March does not work against all conditions, like the ones your complaining about above.

Just for counter arguments sake:

Warrior: 20 in cleansing ire, 30 in inspired battle standard, full adrenaline, alternating banners for 100% regen uptime.

Healing Signet: 402 hps
Regen: 155 hps (5 people = 775 hps)
Adrenal Health: 390/3 = 130 hps

402 + 155 + 130 = 687 hps, sustainable indefinitely, unless you go out of action long enough to see adrenaline decay.

Seems balanced to me. Warriors have a higher damage potential, and are capable of doing more damage output while traited for survival than rangers. So risk/reward and outputs all factored in, it looks like the 2 classes are equal with each other, 1 having more survival through evades, while the other having a higher total damage output.

Also, the hps from the banners isn’t the only AoE effect granted for your party, which is a nice little bonus.

Still, everything looks pretty in line.

Your not factoring in your pet to damage, and that is all the Warrior healing abilities he has.

If I added the 658 Hp/S healing, and the Spirit of Nature, Signet of the Wild, Regeneration, Natural Healing then the Hp/S is almost twice as much as what a warrior can heal for. This isn’t even including the pet.

Not to mention the Ranger has Stealth/Protection/Spam-Evades.

Which makes it worse against things like poison. Which we can’t simply dodge to remove.

Ranger has Traited Signet of the Wild, which is 8 seconds of you and your pet having Invulnerability. Warrior has worse Condition Removal then Rangers do actually, ours has a chance to be effected by the following.

Ranger attacks have evades built right in, the Greatsword’s Autoattack is far superior to Shield Block.

1. Aegis.
2. Blind.
3. Block.
4. Invulnerability.
5. Evade.
6. Miss.

Yours is passive, it removes conditions every 10 seconds regardless of situation or position, you could be dodging like a monkey and it still removes them.

You have dogged march and berserker stance. No one in their right mind is going to think Warriors have trouble against conditions.

Not only that..The heal from Healing spring is 4,920x~(1) while to Troll Urgent is 856x~(0.12)…So HS is the best choice for healing power builds while TU remains reliable even without dat much Healing power

Remember though, that coefficient is per-tick. Over the course of the entire spell, TU has a higher coefficient.

-All spirits can now be launched, knocked down, and knocked back.

This was a bug fix which now will allow more counter-play when fighting spirits.

-Storm Spirit, Frost Spirit, Sun Spirit, Stone Spirit, and Spirit of Nature will now begin their recharge when the spirit dies instead of when the spirit is summoned.

-Storm Spirit, Frost Spirit, Sun Spirit, and Stone Spirit: Recharge has been reduced from 60 seconds to 25 seconds.

-Spirit of Nature: Recharge has been reduced from 240 seconds to 180 seconds.

Previously you were able to pre-cast spirits before a fight so that when they would die you could instantly re-summon them. This made it feel like there was little to no counter play. Players could take the time to AOE them down simply to have to deal with another set of spirits. These changes were made so that there is a time window where the ranger will be without spirits once they die. Since the spirits now die after their duration, we had to reduce the recharge to compensate. In fights where they are dying often, the shorter recharge is a buff.

Solar Flare: Fixed a bug so this skill no longer applies a duplicate infinite duration blind.

This was a simple bug fix removing unintended functionality.

But most of all I do not want Rangers to feel like the neglected black sheep of Guild Wars 2.

But you’re not. You’re not even near the level of an Elementalist in the terms of Neglected Black Sheep.

At least yours kill the spirits. Ranger AE’s will hit 3.

-All spirits can now be launched, knocked down, and knocked back.

This was a bug fix which now will allow more counter-play when fighting spirits.

-Storm Spirit, Frost Spirit, Sun Spirit, Stone Spirit, and Spirit of Nature will now begin their recharge when the spirit dies instead of when the spirit is summoned.

-Storm Spirit, Frost Spirit, Sun Spirit, and Stone Spirit: Recharge has been reduced from 60 seconds to 25 seconds.

-Spirit of Nature: Recharge has been reduced from 240 seconds to 180 seconds.

Previously you were able to pre-cast spirits before a fight so that when they would die you could instantly re-summon them. This made it feel like there was little to no counter play. Players could take the time to AOE them down simply to have to deal with another set of spirits. These changes were made so that there is a time window where the ranger will be without spirits once they die. Since the spirits now die after their duration, we had to reduce the recharge to compensate. In fights where they are dying often, the shorter recharge is a buff.

Solar Flare: Fixed a bug so this skill no longer applies a duplicate infinite duration blind.

This was a simple bug fix removing unintended functionality.

But most of all I do not want Rangers to feel like the neglected black sheep of Guild Wars 2.

Honestly, I’m more concerned with the additional damage pets will soon be taking then I am with them dealing more damage. Part of this is because I mostly use Wolves or Drakes though as I’m only after thier F2 abilities.

ANet doesn’t read any forum but sPvP and, only recently, WvW. If you want change, your only hope is to post there. While they may pretend they read the class forums, it’s hard to believe when issues go unchanged for months on end without even a hint okittennowledgement to the problem.

That’s why everyone laughed at the other poster who said they had a 1 on 1 with ANet devs about the state of the Ranger class. If they’re aware of the issues and it legitimately is taking more than a year to resolve them, what hope do we have?

I don’t understand why they don’t just remove the PPT system all together. Taking a keep gives points. Defending a keep gives more. No players around to take the keep? No one gets points. No players around to defend the keep? The attackers don’t get much. A team holding their frontier could potentially have more points than the opposing team that had the rest of the world simply because they defended what they had from attackers.

Would this encourage tower flipping? Maybe. More than the current ascended mats do? I doubt it.

They might be neglected in the other game modes, but in PvP you are the master class.

Which is my point exactly. They are undoubtedly top tier in sPvP. But only because of one currently working build, and only because the format forces you to fight over small areas (with up to 5 players.)

There is no reason to neglect actual issues with the class for over a year because they have a gimmick build that actually shines in one format. I would like to feel competive because I play well, not because my build allows it.

Not only that, but the working builds have previously destroyed viable playstyles in other formats when they got nerfed due to no split balance patches.

That’s been my complaint for awhile now. All PvP related (WvW, sPvP, tPvP, etc) issues have been focused on furthering the sPvP meta. WvW has been ignored. Quality of life improvements for classes has been ignored. Trait modernization has been ignored. Everything has been ignored for the sole purpose of furthering the sPvP meta: something not even 10% of the playerbase uses. Nearly half the classes don’t have a presence in WvW or PvE at the moment. While the top 10% in sPvP may reflect the same thing where half the classes aren’t relevant, if you look at the top 25% I bet you get a different picture.

Part of the problem is the moderator’s fault as well. It doesn’t take a genius to notice that the devs ignore the class forums and only ever visit the sPvP and WvW forums (and WvW forums only recently. They were ignored as well). This then increases traffic here from players, like me, who only have a passing interest in sPvP. So when people who notice glaring balance issues in WvW try to comment on them in the only place that gets any attention, they don’t always mesh with what the sPvP crowd notices. this then starts the back and forth bickering you dislike.

The devs need to make a much better effort at visiting the class forums. If they got even a fraction of the attention that the sPvP forum gets, the traffic here would be less, the discussions here would be more focused, and players overall would be happier.

I’m honestly not a fan of any of the shouts to be honest. Protect Me is the only one that’s marginally good, but if you didn’t need 30 pts in Marks to make signets useful no one would use that either.

We don’t need to nerf it. We need to CHANGE healing signet.

What about a skill that has to be toggled, and that heals for much more than now while toggled, but increases the damage you receive by a lot?

Example:

Signet of Gamble.

While active, heals you for 1000 per second, but increases all the damage (condi damage included) you take by 50%/100%. You can toggle/untoggle it only once every 5/10 seconds.

This might add more complextiy to our gameplay.

Why use the negative component at all? If you want to change it… give Warriors Troll Ungent.

So lets get the facts out there shall we:
- Some top rangers actually think this patch buffed them
- Having tested it against GOOD PEOPLE (like probably nobody else on this forum has) the elite res spirit is still auto-win team fights
- The fact they get launched is borderline irrelevant
- Spirits still body block you
- You still cant see anything ever
- Spirit ranger is still the most insanely powerful build AND the lamest by far as it is a build which LITERALLY stops you from playing the game by making you see nothing
- Bad people in this thread moan about something which was barely even nerfed
- Some people are saying this patch was actually a buff
- The spirits passive buffs still linger for basically the whole time

Yeh. In fact the res spirit got buffed as now if it dies 10 seconds after spawning it then you get it back 50 seconds faster.

Spirit ranger still needs nerfing to make it bad so that people can actually get back to seeing anything which happens ever.

The changes are neither good or bad. They’ve moved the spirits inline with all other similar skills. The overall change is a nerf as the spirits are clearly more difficult to use. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. No one in this thread or over the past 2 months has been able to say why spirits are overpowered in a way that the Ranger needs to be nerfed though.

Everything you’re listing is targetting and AI related. It would seem the best way to nerf Rangers is for tab targetting to prioritize players before pets. That or entirely change the spirit mechanic to simply put auras on the active pet instead of spawning spirits at all.

But no one is really complaining about what the spirits actually do… only the way they behave.

Warriors are very similar to Thieves where they are a fairly weak class overall but have a few very overpowered mechanics that mask their weaknesses.

There’s no way a Warrior should be able to heal 1k a second while maintaining insanely high condition damage and 30k hp. That’s absurd. But it’s the way things are. It’s much worse in WvW.

Healing Signet is insanely overpowered.
Stun duration is insanely overpowered.
Warrior Regen is insanely overpowered.
Burn is insanely overpowered.
Might stacking is insanely overpowered.
45k hp is insanely overpowered.

This really can’t be disputed and all need to be nerfed. And yes, we all acknowledge that the Warrior would be bottom tier when all this goes down. But until these types of things are brought into line the class will never improve.

I can dispute a lot of what you said…because it’s wrong. Even fully specing into Vitality won’t get you 45k HP in WvW, and even trying to get close would make your build terrible.

Here’s a build trying to maximize HP and still be semi-effective. It has the Regen, the HP, and the Burn. THis build would probably not be that good and notice that I only got to 31k HP. I could get more HP from Soldiers but that would be worthless. Knight’s ammy in PvP can let you get 32k but you would once again be terrible.

I could make another build focusing on Stuns and Might stacking but It would still not have 30k HP and nowhere near 45k.

I’m not much of a WvW guy but even running soldiers with hammer I still get nowhere near the amount of HP you’re claiming, and I can’t do all the other stuff you’re claiming in one build, and any builds with a combination of them would have obvious limitations and counters.

Someone by all means call me out if I’m wrong about not being able to reach 45k HP but as far as I can tell it’s impossible.

The only issue with ascended gear in WvW is the fact that it can’t be bought and is crafter only. This is bad design on pretty much every level imaginable. But beyond that you guys are making a mountain out of a molehill.

If you could buy the gear it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

@Blix Piercing arrows has no aoe cap, and tags a tad more than the 3 limited by melee. Again unless you are speaking from experience, you don’t know what you’re talking about, I didn’t even get into our unblockable traps that we can throw on the enemy zerg for aoe conditions and damage. Rangers have many use full utilities, but because very few people main them, they get little recognition.

This is an MMO and Rangers are the second most numerous class in the game. If traps were even as remotely good as you’re making them out to be, more commanders would be requesting rangers to run them. Several of the traps are even bugged and only hit 3 targets.

Rangers are bottom tier. It’s a tough call to decide which is worse, Thieves or Rangers when it comes to overall WvW worth. Worse still is it appears ANet doesn’t even remember the class exists as no real progress has been made on the numerous issues of the class in a year.

As much as you may want to disagree, the easiest way to tell how valuable a class is, is to keep track of how many times a commander asks your class to fulfill a given role or for you to provide a role requested of a commander. I’ve never heard a request for Rangers to do anything but provide healing well… and even that is inferior to Ele water field.
