anyway.. no big deal.
you start to look at your stats at level 80 anyway.

eve is a tour de force.
but its not for everybody.
endgame wise, they nailed it.

personnaly, i prefer to switch game once in a while.
and gw2 it is for now.

GW2 have enough to entertain me for 300h EASY.

i am at 25h, 3 weeks in.
and this game is superb! like a huge epic quest.
think of it as a single player game a la skyrim, but with way more content and multiplayer interaction.

it should be total power (level+gear) then adjusted to downscale.
you should never be better with lower level gear than with higher level gear.

anyhow, for whatever reason, yeah, itemization is not really necessary or even interesting before hitting level 80.
the game is a blast as is, without tweaking the stats.
i guess min maxing and itemization is an endgame thing.

its indeed a bit like a dictatorship.
but in the end, they do what they want with their game.
its not like nobody is forced to play.

impossible to do range dps, and this is a necessity vs champions/ boss/ dungeons amd WvW.

there is only so much support you can throw with your ranged weapon, since most fights nobody does melee and everybody is basically running around everywhere.
so youre better off with range dps than “support”!

the Guardian just doesnt have “range dps”.

range support is fine.
and really, its not like youre going to charge that champion harpy with your 2h sword anyway.
nobody melee the champions. so you are conan vs the mobs and doctor doogie vs boss.
live with it or switch class

go try blizzard stuf like d3. and have fun using your 2-3 cooldows in wow.

the day you can manage all your cooldown and profession skills and weapon swap in a fight to be optimal… youll be good.
untill then, dont say its shallow and easy…

and Guild Wars is NOT shallow.
character builds are very intricate, depending on weapons, skills, traits, gear.
it isnt that simple. really.

WoW was much simpler and i could fight my eyes close most
of the time.
now i feel like every combat can be different.

what i like so far about GW2 is that there is no optimal build. at least not for guardians!
i really feel like i can experiment.

this game is very fun.
very deep customization system for your toon, with lot of different builds.
combat is difficult to master in the heat of battle.
the world is huge, graphics are artsy and fantastic.
character models are cool.
storyline is ok, it brings you along.

really.. its a very
very solid game.
if im bored after 300h, then so be it
for now i am totally hooked and i take it slow, like a movie.

SERIOUSLY..

how many hours to get to 80? im lvl 16 and more than 25hrs in.
and havent touched pvp…

WoW did kitten up kids a LOT…. its very sad.

GW 2 is EPIC. but since it gives you a lot, you can also consume it too fast.
stop getting fat in chinese buffets guys!
eat a bit, read the stuff, dont check on the net for your build, scrutinize the graphics/art, spend some time to rp..
i dont know, bit really…
