What’s wrong with having classes that are good for roaming? I think a lot of people are ‘zerg-minded’ and ball up all the time. I think on upper tiers, WvW is like 90% balling up. On lower tiers, maybe 50% of WvW is balling up and the rest of us like to havoc/roam.

Engis are great for roaming and 1v1. Permanent swiftness and tons of condis. Thieves we do not need to rehash as everyone is aware of thief roamers. Rangers are great for solo roaming or small group. Annoying long stability (when I don’t run corrupt against a ranger, I am screwed) or binding roots that can keep anybody that is condi immobilized for ages. I’m terrible on my ranger so I can’t really go in depth as to the advantages. I know they are usually tough to fight 1v1.

Whaaaat! Ohai is on ET? We should go roaming together. One of the BS guys said he had partied with an Ohai necro but I thought he meant in WvW with an opposing party.

It’s sad that this is the 2nd week and we’re only on page 5. There really isn’t any chest thumping to do to start forum wars either.

I get so much amusement from all the /laugh and jump emotes people do on my corpse. They’re so proud when they take 3-10 people and run down a necro. It’s so cute!

I’m sad I missed out on a thread that got locked. Those are the most fun to read.

I got so much wxp via pvdoor. It did get boring but I liked getting 4-5 levels in a relatively short amount of time.

You can always come play with BS Jeknar. We rarely go homeland or EB. Always enemy if we can.

I mostly don’t rez downed people unless they’re from my guild. Here’s my experience with rezzing strangers.

Option 1: I am downed while rezzing – Downed person either runs away or gets downed again immediately
Option 2: I rez them and run away with low health only to be picked off
Option 3: I rez them and get left behind.

I don’t particularly care of someone follows our group. They’ll generally get lost at some point anyway.

Slower than molasses. I’ve been playing warrior lately and it’s like a breath of fresh air to have all that mobility at your finger tips.

Well, being against any server is tough for ET, yes.

Well, I find most servers are full of easy prey but depends on what you’re talking about.

FIGHT CLUB at Obsidian Sanctum arena today at reset. I hope to see many duelers out there.

If this can be built why not make the numbers adjustable? I’d be happy to sign up for a 10v10 and a 15v15 with my guild. I don’t have enough for a 20v20 or 25v25 but I’m sure other guilds do.

Looking forward to my 2 spikes and 1 Bent Lockpick from tomorrow’s wvw season 1 reward chest.

Apparently I missed out on all the forum warrioring today. XSV can’t seem to admit that BS are skilled even though you guys lost a lot of duels from what the guys tell me.

BS loves fight nights so XSV (and everyone else) meet us at Obsidian Sanctum arena tomorrow (Thursday) at reset. We’ll be there for 2-3 hours.

Dragonband suffered the fate of many other bandwagon servers. All the bandwagoners left. :P

I experienced this on Eredon Terrace. Thankfully no one has looked at us since then so I can merrily WvW without worrying about coverage and handoffs. PvE is completely dead but that’s not a problem. When I feel like PvE, I guest to TC, JQ or NSP (temple runs)

I hear solo roamers sell out their servers commanders, troll camps, and throw random siege.

They also sometimes give away sentry points.

And, occasionally, they trade kills with the enemy behind a windmill.

Should ban them all from wvw.

If we roam in pair, will we be banned too?

I do group roaming. I’m the slowest class though….will I get banned while the others run away? T_T

Star’s ball is very good. BS had multiple skirmishes last night and we had difficulty killing any Star unless we separated them from their ball. The SF pugs tagging along were easy lootbags though.

SF’s strength was never in smaller battles/skirmishes.

Their mentality is very zerg based and they fight accordingly

Unless they greatly outnumber their opponent – they really aren’t even a thought anymore.

StaR rarely has more than 20 players on at a time and they rarely trigger orange swords. However, if you fight them 5v5 you will probably win because they are using team builds, they aren’t trying to be solo heroes. We’re losing the solo heroes slowly but surely on SF, which is a great thing, we just need to fix our biggest problem now (coverage) so people can truly see the progress that has been done.

WvW is dynamic.

You need solo heroes as much as team player’s.

I agree. Solo heroes are the ones ganking yaks and taking camps all day and that makes a huge difference.

Bronze league is bronze league due to lack of coverage. If ppt and overall score is super important to you, transfer to kitten.

I really encourage everyone to stop looking at ppt and overall score and just HAVE FUN. I like WvW for the pvp aspect. I’d be quite happy with an open field where people had duels or clashed in epic 50v50 battles. If you need objectives and a feeling of accomplishment, take 4-5 people and ninja hills. It doesn’t matter if it isn’t held for a tick because the overall score only indicates coverage.

If the the scoreboard is making you sad/mad/angry/unhappy, you’re taking this game too seriously. Actively tell yourself to play this game for the fun aspects. If WvW is “too hard” this week, it’s fine to go pve or spvp for a bit as long as that is fun for you too.

BG or JQ or TC. I would say JQ is more stable and the pve is good there. TC is stronger on the PvE side and they don’t quite match the T1 servers in WvW.
