There has been several QQ threads about population disparity. Is this a surprise? The point of WvW is to have uneven battles.

If you’re not happy with the score in your league, I suggest transferring to bronze league. While the overall league winners are predetermined as well, none of the matches are blowouts. If blowout matches are discouraging you, this may be the cure.

While I hear your sentiment, wall repair is the ONLY defensive achievement currently. To me there are others WAAAY more difficult, like wall/door dmg. On our server if you aren’t all the way up on Ram Skills they won’t let you on a ram, and the way we take keeps they don’t want you pounding on a door less swords go up, nor do you want to as the Blob will soon show.

The amount of Sentry Areas taken is ridiculous, I won’t sniff that either. Oh and Dolyak kills is another unobtainable. If your anywhere in the middle of a zerg to the back, you may SEE the dolyak but you won’t tag it before its dead.

Less you think I jest, I’m 11 or 12 of 15 with a few more on the cusp of completion, will be done by the end of the week, I’ve WvW’d a lot. Yet I only have like 50 dolyak’s killed and maybe 60 sentry points? What maybe 2 walls down?!?! Yet keep and tower takes were the first two achievements I finished.

Go roaming? I got the yak, sentry and camp achievements in the first week. Do you mainly zerg? I had a hard time getting a hit in on a yak while zerging (I was on JQ for while) and the zerg never stopped at a sentry point.

You don’t need all those achievements though. They’re just meant to appeal to the people who like small group fights.

JQ has an easy matchup this week. Buy some siege and throw it down and bump whoever it is off the ram/cata. It’s not like it matters if you take an extra 30 seconds to knock down the door.

Would you get credit for a failure? You have to rely on a group of (probably unorganized) individuals to assist in repelling an enemy attack. I also dislike this because defense is not fun.

As for upgrading, there is only so many upgrades possible. Having everyone compete for an upgrade would be silly. If your server is overwhelming the other two servers there would be nothing to upgrade after reset night.

I’m not sure how I feel about it.

I like the achievements. It caters to my AP hunting self (Currently at 11k).

I just got the repair achievement last night. Granted I was actively going after the repair achievement. Normally I leave doors and walls unrepaired because it is more fun to kill people. It is quite doable even if you don’t normally defend.

Here’s a strategy. Go to the enemy borderland. Find a keep with at least 500 supply. Build 1-3 golems and cap the keep. Go cap the nearby camps or a tower while you wait for crossed swords on your newly acquired keep. Let them ram down the outer gate and part of the inner gate. Drive them off and get most of your repair achievement done.

If you WvW on a regular basis, most of the achievements will be accomplished without any extra effort. I didn’t get my Advanced Mists Invasion Defender in an hour like someone else earlier in the thread but I did get it within a week.

Like we’ve all been saying all along. Bronze league is the most competitive league. It’s the only league that you don’t know the results before leagues even start.

The API developers did mention the idea of a Chat API. So someday, you might be able to chat with your guild from your phone.

They were talking this up before the game was released. I have been waiting for the chat API ever since. I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I fire up my GW2 and simply use it as a chat window.

Where are my uplevel tears? I have been chasing down every green arrow and jumping on corpses all weekend. I have never been so disrespectful in this game and there isn’t a single delicious tear on this thread.

KN and AR report spammed the entire matchup thread, it is now locked.

I actually got a warning for an infraction, then they reviewed the warning and turned around and fully infracted me….

KN for whatever reason does run an inordinate amount of uplevels, and they will party you and tell you how bad you are for actually killing them. (apparently uplevels are supposed to get a free pass in a WvW map).

Also SF peoples will be camping this thread to give us something to do today :P.

It’s the best thing when uplevels party with you and call you losers.

Hmmm, I was hoping this was a legit post. I like getting more achievement points for doing WvW. I am vaguely annoyed that my achievement score wasn’t growing as much as when I was a PvE carebear. I’ve gotten a ton more AP since seasons started.

I also like having more noobs to kill in WvW. Thank you PvE achievement hunters for all the loot.

We rarely defend anything because it’s all imaginary. BS generally does things to get into fights and to troll.

Hmmm…Saturday night we flipped the two northern T3 towers in HoD BL with about 9 people. DR had flipped Hills already. We went for Bay but got zerged at inner.

Unfortunely i belive the winner is already decided, and so it begins the fight for 2nd.

Don’t think it’ll be a fight in so much that it’ll be Sorrow’s Furnace to decide who will finish second. SF merely needs to defend but whats the fun in that, right? ET will obviously focus on DH and DH will have to focus on ET leaving SF.

Looking at the map…SF seems to have already decided. (SF owns two keeps in DHBL while they own 0 of ET’s.)

When I woke up this morning, ET was at 45 PPT and DH was at 330. I don’t know about that.

Servers are a big place and I don’t think any one person knows everything that happens in it.

I certainly feel like I know very lil’ though I had a lot of long conversations with a lot of these guilds and individuals about whatever was on their mind at the time.

They can be smaller than you think, but I know what ya mean.

I love the small town feel of servers in lower tiers. It was so easy to get to know all the regular core players. I feel like I know a lot of the players on other servers as well.
