this sounds like it could be troublesome for lower down servers like mine where we usually only have queues during prime time and the holidays, so the wvw populaton will be even more spread out. Is there going to be any solution to this problem, or can I expect the maps to become even more empty during the day?

I expect lower tier servers wvw will become very dead. I think I already see evidence of this happening as the NA T7 matchup is very difficult to find anybody to fight (that isn’t part of the blob).

I would love for Eredon Terrace to fight Blackgate. I’d get so many gvgs. I’d want to see IoM (BG) gvg DI (former IoM on ET).

I tried rampager for hybrid necro in spvp but it didn’t seem as effective as going condi (rabid) or power (pvt)

I bunker because otherwise I die. It only makes sense. Zerk necro is almost a free kill as I have zero ability to get away.

I don’t think the male/female ratio of gamers in GW2 is 60/40 based on my experience. It feels more like 90/10 but my viewpoint is skewed as I mostly pvp nowadays. I met more females when I was mainly pve.

Shout out to any other ladies that like to WvW or spvp.

SF randoms at Bluewater last night. I have no idea why you were all parked at a fully upgraded camp with ballista and an omega golem. It was super fun for my party of 4 BS to try multiple times to kill everybody and cap the camp. Very fun fights for all! I hope you got good loot from my body.

GoM is buying roamers now? :P

GoM feels zergy for me when I fight them though their wvw makeup has gone through some shakeups lately. They used to have good roamers but I haven’t seen any lately. I think they transferred off. That’s not to say they’re a bad candidate if you want to fight other roamers. Just don’t expect to find much company.

For servers with skilled roamers, I like NSP, FC, AR. DH is not bad but they’ve been getting zergier this week so I don’t want to wholeheartedly endorse them. ET is the kingdom of roamers.

I agree that roaming is better in the lower tiers but sometimes I have a hard time finding a fight. My guild has been focusing more on gvg lately but we still roam every night.

Good luck in finding a server that suits your needs.

PS: JQ roaming blows. I tried it and I spent 90% of my time avoiding the zerg and every 1v1 turned into 15v15. That said, you can always find someone to fight. I had good fights with TKG (The Kelly Gang). At the time they were on BG. Not sure where they are at now.

This match has been awful for solo roaming….Better bring 5 and would probably fine…DH sends a 20 man zerg to wipe 3 people in Golanta.

I’m having a hard time with small group roaming too.

It’s like all the zergs came out this week. Last week, exact same match up but roaming was super fun.

It feels like SF & DH had their zerg sizes increased this week and it’s just leading to less than fun roaming.

I would guess ET remained the same last week and this week.

Why PvP if you are afraid/dislike dying? I’m not particular fond of getting stomped or killed but it’s part of the game. Waypoint and runback ASAP.

Honestly, why bring a necromancer to a dungeon? I have tried and I have felt completely ineffectual. I’m better off using my warrior or guardian.

actually, in small parties, i find necros less likely to survive. Currently, they possess a huge threat, and are they are incredibly slow both in combat and outside of it. Therefore, i find it very likely that they will get killed fast.
This is why i would prefer an engineer over a necro in a 5 man group. While not as strong, the engineer can provide very heavy condition AOE pressure, while being an infinitely more slippery.

If we were to increase the size to 15 man party, i would being 2-3 necros, as they would have sufficient “meatshield” cover to hide behind.
If you plan to bring necros, i’d say you’d need one extra guardian pr necro. up till a 10 man team. Just to keep the necro from being CC’d and bursted by the first hammer warrior you see.

Do you run with bad necros? There’s no threat if there is 1 hammer warrior. There is a problem is there are two hammer warriors focused on me since I don’t have enough dodges. 1v1, I win against most hammer warriors. In group fights, I only lose if I’m already at low health. If I have enough life force or regular health to facetank them (as Anet says necros should do), I win.

The main problem I have is people see necro and target me first.

Warrior is stupid easy to play as well. I can play kitteny and still live.

This thread isn’t about roaming… it is about team builds. While I wouldn’t have a staff ele in my “perfect team” they work just fine in team builds particularly those centered around stacking, buffing and charging. As for solo roaming, you are right… a staff ele caught in the open alone is a free kill.

I really imagine a 5 man team build to be a havoc/roaming squad. What other purpose do they serve?

What does stuckstate mean? I also agree ele could use a buff. So could rangers.

Signet of spite dhuumfire necro’s are indeed extreemly rewarding for just rolling your face on the keyboard, they might even top every war spec currently out there in terms of execution vs reward.

Then again this game isn’t balanced never will be has tons of mechanical issue’s and plenty bugs, so who cares just go along with the meta and spam like a monkey ^^

How much have you played necro? I can’t imagine you believing this except out of ignorance.

I can beat most warriors on my necro but I had to learn everything that a warrior does and learn when to use my dodges and fears to win. Like previous posters have said necro does not have stability. Against a stun/CC warrior, I have a tough time. If I make more than 1 mistake, I am dead. I’m very happy that they nerfed hammer on warrior because it used to be that if I made any mistake against a hammer warrior, they would chain CC me and I would be dead.

To the OP, you have to dodge signet of spite and corrupt boon. If you can dodge both, you will win. SoS has an obvious tell. Corrupt is more of an instinct thing in my opinion. If I see you have delicious stack of boons including stability, I will corrupt you.

How about superior siege have a longer decay time? And guild siege have an even longer decay time. That would motivate everybody to use superior siege and help lower tier servers.
