The fight is hard because of the horrible camera, being unable to see the red properly on the stupid floor, and the illusions not moving bug. NOT a great fight at all.

Poor sportsmanship is not being a graceful winner or loser, being a cheater, not respecting your opponents, and throwing the fight, especially if you get a kickback from it.

There’s shortcuts all over the track, some of them are RNG based, like some of the lightning jump routes only active certain times.

Let’s not forget that there’s a powerup that can take you from 12th to 1st if you get lucky.

So yeah, if players are smart enough to take that last shortcut, take it.

It also screws over people who are sitting at the side of the finish line waiting for their cronie friend to cross and get first place.

I have completed tier 4 solo, and I have to agree with the OP. This is easily the least fun event in the short history of GW2. It is badly designed, bug-ridden, and just plain horrible.

You took a fun concept, and killed it with bugs, horrible implementation, and RNG. If you have a QA department, and they were given more than 30 minutes to test this, fire them. If not, hire a QA department.

Even though the above comments are satire this is what the devs get and what we see in the forum with each living story after living story. It would have been simple to make this an event where you could choose a team or even pug a group, true. I think this was intentionally solo content to calm the nerves of people who want to play an MMO without interacting with people while at the same time giving them content that is a challenge, felt rewarding, and could contain an epic sense of game play all with out the need of a party or having to use a dungeon.

To clarify we had both QA and our internal core tests go through the content a whole bunch. The QA team focused on making sure that every profession could complete every boss (there are 12) with a reasonable level of skill and gear. The core testers mostly did what they do best and beat the pants off of the stuff we throw at them and tell us whether or not it was hard enough. I feel its worth mentioning that we would schedule tests for an hour or so and some of them would stay all day trying to beat it. But they were having fun, and that’s whats most important to me.

Queen’s Gauntlet is definitely the more challenging side of the Jubilee. That’s why it has its own achievement category and rewards. There’s even a gambit system wherein you can increase the difficulty for a better reward.

It’s not quite like anything we’ve ever done before. I think some of you are really going to have fun with it.

Another bug is the one where NPC just sits there and does absolutely nothing to help, and is also completely invulnerable and ignored by the mobs. This one happens after you fail and go for another attempt.

Solo’d this after 6 hours of trying. GS+rifle warrior with full zerkers.

Got lucky really, did the same as usual but somehow the mobs didn’t cluster around the mortars.

Having done every living story achievement so far including the Aether Retreat ones I gotta say this is the most boring, frustrating and unrewarding one yet.
