We all know scarlet wasn’t inherently evil. She was rumored to come from a different tree far away and became evil due to a mislapse in the experiments. So, I had this idea
In the new zone Magus Falls en Maguuma Wastes. 2 zones above and 2 zones below the border of the two areas. As well as a fifth zone overlapping that border. There are two trees; Yu’Auraa, (as the grawl named it) and the Old Red One. These two trees have different teachings and ways of life that collide. The trees have their own areas, but the overlapping zone is a combattant one. A guild can allign themselves with one tree they believe is right, and then fight for their cause.
(yes, this would mean the sylvari here do not follow the teaching of ‘all life is sacred’)
In this bordered zone there will be a line seperating them. Along the line events will ocure. Completing the events from one side before the enemy can complete theirs will the push the border in your favor. The more you control, the more benefits your alligned guild will get. (favor of the tree)
There can also be an instanced battlefield in the centre, of an old grawl temple where the two trees would love to connect to. Here 15 players of one tree and 15 of the other battle. One side must stop the Oakheart from getting to the plaza in the ruins, the other side must protect the Oakheart to said location. The defending group is the one whose tree is currently dominant in the ruins.
This idea is based Kurzick and Luxon, but this time tyrian in background
As for the dragon part, in the two seperated areas the trees fight against the dragon. In the middle zone they fight each other. And you as the player must help the two trees to at least agree on helping each other in zones even more west where they have to work together fighting the dragons.

Jetztar falls in asura starting zone:
When in suit you need to repair robots and disrupt energies.
Standing next to an effective object, a quickbutton apears that [G]Repair or [G]Disrupt.
However, doing that quickbutton thing doesnt make it use the skill. Instead a chatbox apears saying I can use that skill.
In other instances the quickbutton automatically makes my character use the appropriate skill. But not here
Dear ANet. After 8 characters whom each roughly lived their second birthday, I can say I have enough queen Jenna’s en tickets to lv 20. I would have much more use for, say, 2 level-tomes than all that.
Make a tab in the wallet:
Persistent currencies
Interloping currencies
Simple as that. Any high school kid can design that
Hey ANet. Are you working on the GS warrior 5 yet? Rush has been broken for the past two years and I pointes it out several times during Said time. So, when will it be fixed.
Eg. Rush doesnt work on stationary bosses, bosses with crosshairtargetting or a large red circle
I was expecting more Personal Stories, Story Dungeons, Exploreable Dungeon, Jumping Puzzles, Dynamic events, and permanent content to explore new zones in that Nature, but instead, we get Living Story Season 2!? More Temporarily content?
You cant tell a good story through Temporarily contents because New players and returning players will have no idea what’s happening. They dont get the chance to see the character development in the story and worst of all, they dont get to experience the story at their own time.
People have work, people have lives and it’s cool to have permanent changes but it’s not cool to take away content and story within the game.
By making story contents permanent, you give people the chance to progress and explore the lore within playing the game. You let them play at their own time. This is why Personal Story idea works but Living story fails. Sure, the execution of the Personal Story wasn’t that great but it doesnt mean you cant improve with the tools you got, or make better tools for it.
If I cant play the content when I want and I’m forced to play it in a certain time frame to experience it and the story then I’m not having fun. And If I’m not having fun then I’m not going to do it. Thus, I’ll be missing out on a lot of Season 2 content just like I have with Season 1. Thanks again ArenaNet…
How do you know that’s not what we’re going to get. Have you played season 2 already? You sound certain to know whats in it.
It was just an announcement and that’s all. There’s nothing announced to get excited about. Who thought this was a good idea? The title says, “Get Ready”. What for? This is the worst announcement in GW2’s history, possibly in MMO history.
edit: ok, the hint is the portal, but it still doesn’t make up for the terrible PR strategy to get people excited and interested.
Its just a note to show us when it continues. At a later time youll get trailers and stuff. Stop being so impatient
Me, too. I usually dont have the time to get everything done in the biweeks. A full month to get this done should be good
Theres always complaining. I for one liked season 1. It wasnt the best, but good enough. Personally i think most people just complain for the heck of it
One of the sylvari starting missions contain a male couple you need to help
I cant buy gems if they keep nerfing the material i need to Exchange for gems
Nice knowing ya, I’m back to GW1 for REAL gameplay. I might be back for LS:S2, but until then, ciao
Note!: For some reason this was moved to WvW.. dont see why.. it was a PvE communication suggestion
Say, with China they got more money to work on the game.
Does this mean they can increase their taskforce and keep u the Living Story while a second party creates an expension?
Command Chat:
When a commander raises his tag, people can link themself to them.
The commander you’re tagged to has his mark appear yellow so you know how to identify him from the others. In the chat, the commander can type /c to give command to the people in his/her unit.
This should allow for a good communication during world events with multiple party movements. eg. TripleTrouble / Tequatl / (prev. three colored knights)
The commander himself wont see every profile, but just gets a quicklist of how many of every profession is following him.
eg.
Wa: 5
El:2
En:7
Th:3
Outside PvE this should also be useful in WvW.
Allowing multiple commanders to raise specialised taskforces and keep their information within their group.
At least I would really like to see this because a lot of people dont listen to the main chat and this ruins these world events. Also, everyone talks across each other. If just one commander can explain without the ruse of 10 people trying to give orders at the same time this should improve event movements greatly.
Give me your opinion
How do you propose they enable such a transition then.
The zone portals are necessary, you can’t just have an open field that when players reach a certain point they suddenly go to the loading screen. The game is also designed on the GW1 engine which worked in the same way.The mountains are necessary to obscure the fact that each zone ONLY contains the models for that zone. If you could see beyond them then you would have to render multiple zones at once, which means people’s computers would have to work a lot harder.
I Would say a fancy shiny line along the ground. Also even if you stick with the portals, the zones dont have to be rectangular.
I Would prefer an expansion over a LS. living stories are good for the varying gamaeplay, but because they’re free there’s less time and effort put into them. I’d rather pay for something good than 10 kitten things
Paying real money or trading gems (which is expensive) for a temporary booster that wears out all the time is very far from having a travel skill intended to be fun and helpful.
Plus: “Double-click to gain a buff that increases your speed by 15% for one hour.”
Why would I use that if stacking speed through skills is 33%?
Also, you still have to run to waypoints if you are playing with a new character, where the whole point of my post to have a skill to travel that isn’t a combat skill is about.
Not only I shouldn’t thank you, you should apologize for making me waste time having to reply to you
Eeuhm. I have never spend a coin on stuff like that. Yet i have a full stack of swiftness boosters in my bank. If you say you cant attain them without playing i am rather curious what is you DO inside the game to avoid them
What exactly is the problem. In wow you had mounts. Here you have waypoints. What exactly do you need mounts for. To reduce a traveltime from 1 minute to 50 seconds?
Well, in that case have items filtered by the tag that’s in the description. I dont need all these runes and sigils in my bag because 1 out of a million is a crafting material. If they can make an exception for the ecto’s, they can make an exception for the rune of holding.
GW1: Aatxe, mighty demonic creatures; Children of an ancient race who once dominated most of the mosts.
GW2: Aatxe, weak shadowy creatures who serve no other purpose than guiding a world event.
The only combined hair color here seems to be black with a little red.
Although I’m not too bothered by the limited options. It’s still more than the average MMORPG
Yes, because excluding certain parts of the world and have everything look greek/germanic is gonna make the game a lot more universal…..
While I miss the customizable skills, I do not think it would do the game much good if they start keying it now.
The game would only turn into a chaotic mess. Let’s just accept the damage there is now and move on.
What they CAN do however is add more difficult stuff. (in gw1 you had a few things where the timing of one skill could change defeat to victory)
I think GW2 has become a little too much of a sandbox game. You can’t really do anything wrong, just a little less good
Troll obviously, I never get any peace wherever I go. It’s usually local mornings that the game is a little deserted, but that’s only expectable.
I really hate that after a long session of events or dungeons (whereas I usually always salvage my finds) and all my crafting materials end up in the main bags because the Runes and Sigils fill up the crafting bag.
I would really like to adress this BECAUSE RUNES AND SIGILS ARE NOT CRAFTING MATERIALS. And for that matter, why do some crafting materials like Ectoplasma not end up in the crafting bag?
They only serve to clog up and mess the order of my inventory.
Please, Arenanet, have these things move to the main bag (or the Oil bag, preferably)
What most people forget is that the asura and charr do not deny human Gods. The asura say they may exist as powerful entities. But in the end theyre just cogs. Charr say Gods exist, but they use them as a drive to grow stronger.
One active dragon. Zhaitan
Two incarcarated Dragons, jormag and primordius.
One preoccupied dragon kralkatorrik.
One slowly getting up rather annoyed by a drill of an alarm clock.
And lastly a dragon whom no one really seems to know what theyre doing. Just swimming north of cantha. Causing Storms, not doing much else.
Seriously. More than half the community liked the LS a lot. The smaller group that did not just wont shut up on how badly they experienced it. Dont let your opinion be sludged by all the negative feedback. It wasnt so bad
The good thought is that if the game hits in China. Theyll have almost double budget. I do hope this bigger budget will allow for more updates and stuff.
its last hitting animation is so slow and its stops you moving that they could just walk away from it.
Or you get behind the target (with bulls it happens allot)
Or you keep walking and walking and walking and nothing happens
Well, what happens with the mobs i described happens is: the warrior zigzags around the mob until time of casting is done and then proceeds to cast #1 again.
Dear Anet. Past 2 years people and me have complained that the warriors rush do not work on enemies with crosshair or bigger than normal red circle. I would like some confirmation that this issue will be adressed. Two years of having a broken skill in my bar is longer than normally acceptable.
The entire world will have to be the same for everyone, so a destroyed LA is a must.
What I think they will do is make some sort of popup guy for them to quickly get the story and the important cutscenes (maybe enable the temporary dungeons for a period of 2 weeks) but that’ll be all. They intented to start Season 2 China and West at the same time.
People only have a bad word for the LS. But I mean, seriously.. come on. Anet is trying something new, cut them so slack. True the first LS didn’t get out so well. The idea was good, but the gameplay didnt work out so well.
How about we wait for their next content to say wether or not the LS is a big fail.
I (sincerely) hope dat Anet will take our comments (NOT OUR COMPLAINS) into consideration. And with that, the LS is gone for now, so there’s no point in complaining about it.
That’s gonna be trouble for the Chinese. If they start playing and the Dragon Bash almost immideatly pops up.. gonna be a rush of noobs to LA
I Always figured Jormag’s tooth would be used against Jormag. After all, the only thing that can damage a giant block of ice, is the thing itself.
Yea its frustrating doing the whole runtime and then your toon doesnt make the attack, would be nice if they let you cancel it mid movement say for an adrenaline gain or whatever, would be nice if accidently misclicking it.
Yes, it would be nice if we could just cancel it. I have fallen off cliffs due to this attack. Or run into electric fields when fighting Goldem Mark II
To pleurodesd, that’s closing ui but still having the ugly back of my head in view.
And GscGunner. I had my fair share of mods in wow. I wont use mods not approved by anet
I really loved the first person view in gw1. Albeit not very handy during combat, it allowed me to be submerged into the world when travelling and to enjoy beautiful scenery. Any chance Anet will recreate this option?
The warriors rush is a good attack to start or recovery after the spin attack. But it simply doesnt work on bosses who have a broader presence (red circle) or stationary bosses who are crosshaired targetted. I had thought anet wouldve fixed this after two years. Sadly
Two years of having a broken skill
Though normally I agree with you, the living story isn’t something you think up in a minute’s time. If they want to release Southsun Cove two days right after the Molten Alliance LS, they would have had to have the plan for at the very least two weeks prior. Whilst they announced the returning to the dragons just a few days ago.
I find it rather odd that they first say ‘The heroes return to their homes to focus on the battle against the dragons’ and a few weeks later they announce another living story.
Plus, there’s this annoying hole in the map next to Lion’s Arch I wish they would open up soon
