In the last 3 days, I’ve had about 10 BG players alt+f4 or log out on me while they were downed. You guys ought to inform them of the not so recent patch change.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
^ Confusion really isn’t that hard to stack up. My friend and I generally get 10 stacks of confusion on an enemy quite quickly. That is 2 of us playing our engineers.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
You will never see HB and LotD run together and roam the map as one big blop. We do communicate alot and sometimes meet up to flank a map sized zerg, simply because the 15-20 HB or 20-25 LotD wont be enough on its own.
What we are trying to communicate is that there is 0 reason for any server to run around with map sized zergs when you have more than 1 guild on the map. It causes ability lag, culling and takes away the fun for anyone involved.
Like I said in a previous post, we do understand that you have to meet up to take heavely fortified and defended keeps. We are only talking about roaming here.
There is 0 reason for any server to run 20-man zergs just to “roam” around. It causes a lack of needing skill and completely removes the ability for even fights when you guys decide to zerg down small groups.
The BG and JQ players complaining about SoR zergs are quite hypocritical in this manner. They have absolutely no issue with forming zergs to roflstomp small groups, but when someone decides to make a zerg bigger than theirs, they complain.
This issue of hypocrisy extends to the group v group interrupt by Fear. I have encountered both SF and AGG interrupting good group fights that I’ve been in, just so that they could zerg us for some easy kills. Do not try to take the morale high road, as your actions are the same as those you criticize.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
bad form FEAR zerging a casual gvg with their full map 60 person zerg…..
south of south camp is pretty much a guarantee spot for gvg. and your FEAR scout told you it was 15 SF vs 15 Agg? so you could come and roll us with 60? lol so sad hahahaha you must have been bored to interrupt a gvg like that. pathetic.
Looks like someone died in a PvP zone.
Also, nice WvW math there. Didn’t you know, SoR always runs in 180 man zergs and on reset night, SoR runs 230 man zergs.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
One of the Choo commanders is cool because he will break up his full map zerg if you ask him to when BG has two 20-25 man groups roaming around. So props to him.
He really shouldn’t though, unless you are willing to break up your 25 mans into 5-mans because I am asking you to.

I would have but your not online right now
Oh, I was having breakfast.
Well add me to your friends list and we can have a cross-server dance party another time. We should get some JQ Asura in on it as well.

Seems to be the other way around from what I hear. You do realize I’ve got many friends in Blackgate, a lot of which were former KnT that left your guild for one the reasons I did – poor leadership and nothing getting done. They’re so far the only people to have wiped me. Meanwhile every time I’ve seen KnT they’re getting wiped or fleeing. I will say it was enjoyable getting 2 bags after stomping you yesterday.
- le snip. -I wish I could get off on stomping entire groups of SoR alone as well as you must on flattering yourself. I wonder how many of my 1,000 most recent kills were you or your guildmates.
o_o
I can give you an honest answer to what you ponder.
Zero.
My guild that I represent isn’t a WvW guild, and was busy doing FOTM while I was stomping BG, and the only death I had was from a cliff. Yeah forgot to turn my trait on.
BTW Riven, I don’t play zerker thief.
>Doing FOTM all week while complaining about WvW
I’m sorry you’re incapable of reading. Perhaps you should try again. Sound out every word if you need to before trying to read it.
I was in WvW while my guild was in FOTM. If you think I am wrong, feel free to post the name of at least one of my guildmates. I rolled with Choo, Fear, and TW while in WvW. Didn’t die once in the entire time I’ve played in WvW, besides the time I tumbled off a cliff while forgetting to change my trait to the reduce fall damage.
You and Riven get trolled too easily. Both power hungry losers that resort to GW2 to feel any sense of power control. Tsk tsk….
Take it to private messages. We don’t need a personal feud weakening cross server and cross guild relations.

The 10 of them annoyed me and maybe 2 other level 1 mules while otherwise sitting on their kitten and not helping your server. Lazy and boring, as are your efforts to defend them.
Have fun in T2.
10? There were only 4 of them (3 engineers and 1 ele) and from what I read in guild chat, they were having a lot of fun as there were a lot of players heading to the JP. Soloers as well as groups of 3-4.
Comparing the enjoyment they had with the frustration you display in your posts, I would say it is pretty obvious who won there.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
Oh my, I am in a bad spot. I do not like BG nor JQ. Who shall I ally with? Perhaps if the Kraitt would stop attacking me, I could negotiate an alliance with them. Imagine all the CC from a Kraitt army.

More non-NA guilds on SoR would make Tier 1 one of the most balanced match ups I believe.
Our current non-NA’s are pretty hardcore. It takes a certain type of person to play day after day knowing that the best you can do with your numbers is to simply hold onto as much as you possibly can until the cavalry arrives. On the few occasions that I play at odd hours, it has appeared to me that most were in good spirits and kept running around to hold onto, or cap back locations.

NPCS use more cc abilities than most players I come across. It is a bit ridiculous

i heard that some blackgate guilds are moving to kaineng.
source? unknown. heard it at least twice last night.
name of the guilds? unknown.
That is actually quite a good tactic if one wants to weaken Blackgate. Someone starts a rumor of BG guilds transferring off. Even if this idea is fictitious, it starts to create doubt and mistrust between the different guilds and seeing how they have not all formed a solid bond yet, that in itself can lead to bad blood and guilds actually leaving.
A bit similar to what happened on SoS.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
They are an upgrade. You should give it a try.

Engineer.
Pistol/Shield for blinds and cc. MedKit for lots of healing, elixir gun for heals and acid bomb which takes you away from the fight quickly if you’re taking too much damage. Bomb kit to use while running around in circles in the enemy zerg. It has a fire dot, confusion, smoke field, immobilize/cripple and knockback. Elixir S for a reprieve when being focus fired.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
I feel that SOR is playing similar to how SOS used to play which was to ball up in huge zergs to run through their opponents.
SoR has become zergier as it went up in tiers in order to compensate for the larger enemy zergs.
I only run in small-man groups and I can tell you that it is hard to find BG and JQ players that aren’t in zergballs or won’t run back to their zerg unless they have superior numbers. That is the nature of most people regardless of server.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
How many people did you kill since Friday and how many times did you die? That is how I rate success.
What a bizarre way of measuring success.
Not at all. It is a good way of measuring success if you small group or solo.
It indicates how many times you were able to beat your opponent and how many times you were beaten. It is more an indicator of pvp than a raid capping a keep, as your success is purely based on your ability to fight the enemy.
This isn’t meant to take away from the challenges of siege warfare of course. When it comes to that, there is a different measure of success.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
I kept lagging then being disconnected every time I went into BG BL this morning. It worked fine on the other BL’s that I tried though.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
BG. Darlings. You’re better than this.
JQ, I don’t know you, but I suspect you all are better than this, too.
Be nice. Shake hands and conduct yourselves like ladies and gentlemen. You’ll be happier for it.
Love,
Me
No! (Read as if both letters are capitalized)
BG and JQ bickering is good. Maybe they’ll focus on each other more this way next week.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
After reading all the BG trash talk posts from their players before they even get up here, it’ll be fun to put them in their place too.
It seems JQ is going to play the role of disciplinarian for the foreseeable future.
After seeing all the distasteful comments by some JQ players on here, I hope BG and JQ create a hateful rivalry that drives them both insane, in turn causing their servers to implode causing them both to plummet in the rankings. At which point, Ferguson’s Crossing and a Euro server somehow end up in T1.
… and then Martians.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
After the transfers SoR received in T2 that helped propel it to T1, I believe it was almost on par with BG. This is BG prior to it receiving more numbers to bolster its 24/7 coverage. With its new recruits, a T1 match-up between BG/JQ/SoR should be pretty good because I think BG and JQ are fairly even in coverage. SoR will drop to third but still stay relatively competitive due to its north american presence. Hopefully.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
Hahahaha.
10 score updates by JQ members on page 9 of this thread. 10 score updates, half of them include self-praise for total control over the map while there obviously isn’t enough people to fight back. It is similar to bragging about having beat up a single person with the help of your 4 friends.
I pity those of you on JQ who have to put up with being represented by those types of people. There may be a lot of them, but do not worry as I know you aren’t all like that.
If you wish to counter the negative image that these people are portraying, mailing me some maintenance oils would go a long way
“I smell like pomegranate.”
What would you guys think if Elixir X was changed to be a massive boon giver instead of a transformation. Like it could give like 20 seconds of stability + other boons a la ranger’s Rampage as One or something.
That is actually a really good idea and VERY fitting to the entire alchemy/elixir concept.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
It is quite bad when I would rather have a 4th utility slot than an elite as an engi. :p
The supply crate isn’t bad, but it’s big cooldown doesn’t make it too handy.
The mortar has very limited use. The number 5 mortar skill is all I really use it for. The AOE knockback is good for res-clumps and knocking people off in the jumping puzzle.
Elixir X is a bit too random for it to be useful. When traited it goes down to 96seconds which is great, but not being able to choose what it transforms me into is terrible. The Tornado is only useful to me when trying to knock people off of cliffs or platforms. The fact that you can be immobilized as a tornado by a net is just…
Juggernaut form is good for getting away. Number 5 when the enemy is around you and then a Number 3 out of there all while having stability.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
No. There are already more npcs than there should be. I wvw for the pvp, and all npcs do is get in the way. Players should be defending your holdings, not npcs.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
If there are so many females wvw’ing, then why is it so hard for me to find an Asura mate who will go around and corpse jump enemies with me? I smell nice too
“I smell like pomegranate.”
So you took a picture of people standing outside of a tower? Well done on skillfully taking a picture and uploading it on here? I don’t quite understand what you expect other people on here to say.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
The majority of the world goes by the day/month/year format which is more logical as it escalates in length.
As for tonight match up, JQ got rolled pretty hard on EB at reset but it looks like they’ve finally started pushing out again.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
Good fights JQ & SoS.
I was on today while we had 0ppt upto now. It is nice to see our server still come out to fight, even though it seemed hopeless.
Here’s a score update. I eat your face with my teeth.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
This poll is flawed. The latest update was to help load assets faster for players with slow machines, and changed to friend/foe binning for assets being rendered vs an all or nothing.
Culling has not been resolved, it’s servers side, and the devs have clearly stated they’re still working on resolving it.
Well the latest update made it worse.
My computer matches the minimum requirements. My guild-mates have more up-to-date computers and it has been worse for all of us.
Had an instance where 2 of us wanted to flip speldan. Before engaging I noticed what looked like a ride the lighting far away near mendons. So we waited to see if anything was coming. 20 seconds later since nothing showed up we went to engage the camp. Out of nowhere an ele pops up right in front of me at the supply depot as he rides the lightning through me.
In a setting where there were 2 of us and 1 enemy, I should have seen the enemy BEFORE he he was 5 feet in front of me. Things like these have been happening frequently and on any borderland regardless of population.

Good match so far everyone. There have been good fights all around.
I spent earlier today yak slapping alone for a while on a fully green JQBL. Managed to rack up 130 points just from killing yaks. It was as if though I held Stonemist by myself for an hour.
Also got some easy loot from some JQ players while doing so. Those silly humans thought they could defeat me, but little did they know that I am destined to be the Overlord of all of Tyria.
Free beverages, meals and cookies will get you Overlord status really really quick.
Hmmm, cookies might be a good idea. This will make you guys fatter which means it will be harder to run away from me. hehehe hehehe
Cookies it is.

Disappointed. From what I am seeing, only 40% of people got in. Everyone else is queued. I was spamming the BL and got stuck in a queue. That means it filled up in less than 1 actual second.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
It’s random if the entire map is blue or red or what not.
Hmm can’t say I agree with that, but I respect your opinion. SoR zergs were heavy and coordinated, once they started taking stuff the map changed color really quick and you better hope someone took the time to siege up your “random” north towers.
Which is probably what that player was doing there, I doubt they were roleplaying sentry guard lol.
Incorrect. This incident was during the first week that TC moved up to tier 2, not lately. I assume that is why we have a difference in opinion.
TC held most of its Borderland the first week. There would be occasional pushes from the server that would go as far north as bay or hills. At the time we attacked the supply camp, everything had belonged to them for over half an hour and even before that, the fights were simply over the southern towers and supply camps for hours prior to that.
“I smell like pomegranate.”
Hmm one question. How would you know the commanders rage and lash out at those around them?
A mixture of friends on the other servers telling me so, an observation of our own commanders and a general understanding of how humans behave.
For example, one can tell quite easily if an enemy commander has been emotionally bothered if he decides to chase your small group with a zerg for a long time without any benefit at all. Of course, not all of those lash out on their own people, but some do.
This actually makes me feel a little better about how we’ll do in the match… we have some very good small groups that can put out the pain…. as well as larger forces that focus on siege. As far as I know our guild is the only one that goes out soley to destroy, demoralize, and farm the zergs (granted we’ve become a decent sized group ourselves)… hopefully it will be enough.
I hope you do well.
Oh, and another thing. TC is the unofficial roleplaying server and while some may think it is a hinderance to them in WvW, this is not always the case. Many TC players seem to enjoy roleplaying as supply camp/tower guards. Actually.
Expect most of their holdings to have some type of human sentry, especially early on during the game. Their dedication to guarding has lowered since we first fought them, but that may simply be due to battle fatigue. TC is the most difficult server to 4-man ninja a tower from my experience.
eg. First week we fought them, they owned their entire BL. A friend and I decided to flip NE supply camp. 10 seconds after we engage the npcs, cows and boulders are landing around us. 3 trebs were firing at us from NE tower. Our side had not owned anything in over 30 minutes, yet they had guards at this random tower.

TC exploiting the invulnerable spots. This guy would hang around lowlands kill people and then run back to the spot when he got in any danger. I made sure to emote at him a lot since they like it so much.
It was in SBI boarder lands and you guys kept Zerging lowlands as I was trying to solo cap it (because almost no other TCers were on the map it seemed). And no I didn’t kill anyone the most I would do it Down them because I know its wrong lol. (just ask the SBI people that were there too lol)
You expect me just stand there and let the 20 of you kill me?
You had more than enough time to kill me as I was running from the camp to the spot!
Also on a side note does Arena Net ban for people doing that? If so I am JK that was not me. If they don’t ban yes that was me.
Attacking people from an invulnerable spot is bad sportsmanship.
Telling a solo player that he is unsportsmanlike for not coming out to be farmed by a zerg is insulting.
I wish he would have finished those he downed and then spat in their faces while corpse jumping them.
You probably shouldnt be playing WvW then. No room in the queue for cowards.
Says the person that is whining over a solo player not coming out to be zerged. Instead of a fair fight, you wanted numbers on your side.

Hey FA, since I have not played against your server in a while I am more favourable towards you.
Here is some information on BG and TC.
In general, the individual skill level of their players is low to average. I only came across 4-5 players of each server that I considered good. While there are undoubtedly more, I did not come across more while playing against them for over a month.
Their main big guilds, in regards to coordination and organization are also low to average, with BG’s big guilds leaning more towards the average as opposed to the other. [HB] guild on BG is the only one I would consider to be above average. While they may be weak individually, they are quite effective as a team.
If you guys employ small mobile groups against the zergs of both servers, you can gain quite the advantage. Just 4-5 players can keep 10-15 of them sitting in a supply camp to defend it. 4-5 can pick off a quarter of a 40 man zerg while it runs to its destination.
Additionally, focus firing their commanders and then humiliating them is also quite effective. (eg. corpse jumping them while their zerg is standing around them) While some BG and TC commanders are relentless and wont be phased, others will rage and lash out at those around them. This in turn will lead to a lowering of enemy morale or irrational behaviour by their commanders.
One night, there were 5 of us that were being chased by 30 TC players around the Mendon, Speldan, Anzalias area. While they would occasionally get one or two of us, we kept running around and ressing each other which made for a prolonged half an hour chase. A half hour where our side had a +25 man advantage over TC.
In short, keep poking at their dead bodies. The spirits of the dead often seek revenge.

I remember about a month ago being in a small strike group with guildies and one person logged off while still in the party and his dot stayed on the mini map for hours near speldan camp in EB. I didn’t think anything of it, but it could be affecting que’s if the game believes he is still in WvW per dot on map.
This is quite possible although it does happen on all servers. It seems to always happen when a person in group doesn’t leave group before logging out.
I remember once on a BL, guildmate was coming back into the game after having left while in group. I was on the Storm Temple island and saw his character model standing there at which point I charged two mesmers thinking he would have my back. I managed to kill them, but was surprised that he did not aid me. When I asked him over TS, he said that he had just entered the BL and was in the loading screen. He also said that the Storm Temple was the place he had logged off at.
In short, the game remembered where he logged off and even showed his character model until he spawned at the main base. It wouldnt be farfetched to think that the game still considered him to be in WvW.

Good on her, I hope she killed a bunch of my server-mates.

Arrow carts are quite effective, they hit everything at the top of that tower. There are also multiple spots where you can drop the arrow carts that are protected from ballistas (if they decide to build those up top)
