new skills and weapons for ALL classes are in dire need. It really REALLY gets boring to always use the same skills, same build(s), same weapon(s). The possible (actually usefull and cool) builds per class is as narrow as the gun selection in a cod multiplayer game (ill slap myself for the comparison later.. dont worry) what makes PVP so boring that i dont even wanna go back to it (disclaimer: i did it for the balthasar backpiece). Sure.. you can argue “its about skill”…but really now…cookiecutter builds, no wiggle room for anything creative, it got so boring that i actually sat there and sighed while fighting (and loosing often cause i really couldnt give a kitten). In pve and wvw you got a little bit more “freedom” to make a build and use a weapon and skills that work for you..though your selection stays increddible…tiny. Where are the warrior\guardian spears? Where is the engi heavy cannon kit (think horrik)? Where is the necro scythe\quarterstaff (whatever)? Where are the “ima go avatar on your kitten ” all elements in one ele spells? Where is the “total mindkitten” mesmer button or the (enter beast here) ranger transformation? Sure.. nothing like this was announced but doesnt it seems its…missing atm?

Wouldnt it be cool to go melee with your necro like an gw1 dervish? A scythe(or any proper cleave melee weapon) would allow to make the necro to a REALLY daunting melee class with access to direfull wells, a small army of minions or right away drown the foes in conditions while slashing them to death. Fixes 2 issues.. the lack of the necro cleave weapon (i dont count the pitifull dagger update from the next patch) and making it a usefull class in PVE (fractals, dungeons, etc)

Or wouldnt be it amazing to use a big cannon with your engi? Ranged weapon\kit that tabs into ranged aoe and targeted attacks with a large range (1200) to give an alternative to grenades and rifle that still allow to lay a combo field for the melee centered types of players while laying low with the engi for once, keep in the background and attack with a slightly “slower” then grenades attack that doesnt give you carpal tunnel syndrome yet doesnt lack the aoe.

How about a spear for the heavies that allows them to dish out heavy and fast single target damage and stack bleeds or other dire conditions? Maybe even piercing with a “long” range (for a melee weapon) to destroy enemies in chokepoints and throwing abilities to launch the spear with a powerfull ranged attack. To catch running enemies with a lethal attack from behind.

Or how about knives for the mesmer? Fast attacking knive clones, maybe a trait like the necro got (the one that gives you extra movement speed while using knives). Throw in a riposte\clone summon skill and some fast and powerfull melee attacks and you got a whole different feel to the class. Maybe a “standalone” chaos field skill to have atleast one other AOE and a “turret clone” that remains where it is and doesnt attack (or only attacks with almost nonexistant damage like the normal clones do) with a swap location secondary (sorta like the sword clone that runs to the enemie) so that the mesmer can blink out of combat quickly if the knives just dont cut it (HA PUN!) and heal up. Whole new feel.

How about a “perfect attument” elite (or just skill) for eles that gives em for a short period of time the “best of all skills” they got in attunements? No brainer to explain that..though maybe it should have a charge system like an ice bow or other summoned weapon to avoid that it gets too overkill. Or how about an “elemental golem army” elite? To summon 4 lesser elementals (one fire, one ice, one earth and a lightning) at once? Or how about swords? Powerfull cleaving melee weapon that changes the way it works with the attunement. Like the fire attument would make the sword to a burning blade that obviosly is more focused on raw damage while the lightning attument makes it a very fast but single target weapon that allows the ele to keep the speed on himself and slice\stab away on the enemie. Or the earth attument turns the sword to a weapon to handicap the enemie with blocks and crippling or dazes while the water attunement makes the ele tank. Lets the ele heal with every slash (a little) and maybe freeze the foe. Would be amazing to see arround.

Just some things that i THINK would be cool to see arround and that i THINK would open many new builds for classes lol

1. Since i dont understand anything about game design like you suggest lemme go technical on you then cause i do in fact understand.. Know what poligons are? No? Poligons are little surfaces that form a 3d model, the more are there, the more a pc needs to load.

Mounts add more polycount.. aka more loading, lag and screen clutter. Also mounts need a skeleton… meaning a sort of base to animate them via their bones.. what also takes up file size.. means more load time and more lag if too much is present on the screen.. here a visual about what im talking about.

Since you wanna ride a mount obviosly there gonna need to be TWO skeletons and TWO models per player.. beeing the char and the mount.. double the screen clutter.

So that out of the way.. you want your mount looking nice right? Then you gonna need special textures with bump\glow\minimapping… they got quite a file size aswell, add some more to the lag jar.

We done? Nope.. we got a physics engine, how about we add some physics to it.. like a moving tail and mane..extra file size and more calculations for the computer. (what i would do cause would be a waste of the engine not to do it)

Particles… a-net loves their particles. Particles can add a certain something to a model.. like a glowing blade or leaving a trail with your weapon when you swing it.. or glowing eyes or whatever. Particles are nice.. but they got a dark side to them. Particles are also 3d models.. tiny little planes (or orbs with flipped normals what means inside out texture (texture is the colourfull part of a 3d model)) with colour and alpha channel (is a black\grey\white layer of a texture or a seperate texture that lets the engine know what part to hide of the mesh. Here a typical use of alpha channels in form of a hair texture and alpha channel:

means tiny and very simple models…but the more are there, the higher the policount, texture size and calculation time goes.. means more screen clutter and in an MMO where you are with thousands of ppl together and usually have a LOT of ppl on screen you can guess how high the count can climb. Thats why its not wise to add even more screen clutter then there already is

4. Well having the 3d technicals out of the way (and yes i am a hobby 3d artist so i do understand what im talking about) lets move to the few points ill adress here…

- Uncreative? No.. realistic view. A-net cant even get class essential npc “companions” (turrets, clones\phantasms, ranger pets, necro minions) to work proper. Lets not add another flawed a.i to the mix..rather fix first whats there (if that even is possible)

- Mounted combat? Yea.. you gonna balance that into the game and make the scripts yourself then alright? The engine didnt support it at launch, a-net got enough issues to balance the bare bones of the classes proper and to re-write it for a feature thats as pointed out not even considered by a-net to be there is… well stupid, sorry but true.
Would be cool yea.. but its not present and wasnt intended. To add it would be not impossible.. obviosly. But do you gonna pay the costs that engine revamp would cost? Maybe with an expansion? Yea why not.. thing is a-net didnt announce something like this so yea…

“Outfits only” additions are lazy. For christs sake split em up into skins, pack em and sell em as alternative to the outfits, aka have TWO versions, a skin pack and a costume.
I sure see the appeal of costumes.. perfect for upleveling (where you switch armors constantly) and perfect if you like the outfit how it is and im not somebody who is against them for beeing arround cause hey they are a cheap way to stick to your apperance, no need for transmutation charges or anything really, they stick with you whatever you do and who likes em, all hail to you… but lets say i want the bloody prince facepaint or the cook boots or the assassin gloves then im boned. Whole set or gtfo, no way to customise my visuals (cept in colour and hiding gloves, shoulders and helmet)… gotta question the need for a wardrobe if that trend keeps up. And since we are at it.. the town clothes tonics.. wtf a-net. Split em into pieces and make em armor skins and dont come with " but they arent armor" or “cant mix weight classes” this excuse doesnt fly anymore. You dont care about clipping anyways.. leave that to the players and with the introduction of the “PvP Visual” thingy that comes with the next patch people who cant tell the classes (or weight classes) apart (what for sure can be an issue in pvp and wvw) and got serios issues with this can just go to options and make all char models the same what eliminates that issue. People could mix and match till the cows come home and all are happy. Yea.. went a bit off topic.. but might aswell since we are at it.

Specially a-net shouldnt do mounts.. its already hard enough to not get drowned in particle effects (or even finding nice things that dont take it too far with them). Want a speed boost? Trait for it, use skills for it, use boosters whatever (isnt like you cant go fast enough without em). Want to ride arround on something and run every minute in a guy who got the very same mount (beeing the last one released cause a-net would realise how easy it is to sell 6 different horse colours or whatever)? Buy a broom or a drill for 400 gems or whatever they cost now and pretend its a mount. Id rather have a-net focus on equal armor quality for all races\weight classes\genders before they even think about mounts of any sort.
Still want a mount? Go play wow…

Pretty much what I’ve come to expect. You gave two reasons why they aren’t necessary, entirely legitimate, except that this is a game and none of it is necessary. Were that a legitimate reason for anything, no content would have been added beyond release, because that was all that was required to play the game. The remainder is your personal preference, poor excuses, and barely legible drivel.

1. Mounts are not… particle effects… why do I even need to say that? Isn’t that obvious? How could that not be obvious? It is also, a completely different issue. Should mounts also not be added because there are starving children in africa?

2. It is a completely baseless assumption that they would be nothing but a speedboost, you have no idea how ANet would implement a mount system, even whether mounts would provide a speedboost at all.

4. It is also a baseless assumption that players who would like mounts only would for looks or prestige.

5. I would also prefer they work on cosmetics, and consider them more important. But again, a completely different issue. There is more than one development project being worked on at any time.

6. Telling someone to leave the game on the forums because you don’t agree with them is a punishable offense.

1: saw the “dominant style” a-net goes with armors and weapons? Particle effects everywhere = more lag, means mounts wouldnt be usefull in wvw cause ppl would lag out all the time what leads to point 2…

2: pve maps are too small for a need for them, you got waypoints all few feet and pvp got no use for them either

4: then what is it… like i said maps are too small and wp system is present aswell speed boosts, traits and skills for every class

5: it isnt, the time that would go into mounts they could fix the visuals cause to mesh\texture mounts takes prolly more time then to fix issues on present armors (specially gem store armors to make them equally as good for all races and genders cause ppl paid extra for it)

6: where did i do that.. just said go play wow if you cant deal with the lack of mounts thats all

…they seriosly dont give a single kitten about this class…do they. As long as pvp(sorta kinda) works the visuals can suffer.. kitten the engies who buy gem store items, kitten the engies who do LS to get backpieces, kitten the engies who grind their kitten off for legendaries, just kitten em. Actually.. kitten em twice as hard and make their armor class the most lame and uninspired designed one too, give em coats cause that for sure is armor alright, dont forget to keep em as neutral as possible and if you DARE to stray from the coat ill cut you. Actually.. how about we shove a 3rd kitten you down their throats in making the races who focus on technology in their design get a little extra bonus in clipping the backpieces into their heads (asura) or make em float a mile behind them (charr)….actually do that with all LS packs too right away..(and since im at rage ranting..seriosly im kittened off) also take extra care that the medium gem store items look kitten on these races…mediocre at best…but DONT you dare to make em the same quality as humaniod races cause they are worth less to us, we dont want to make em feel too welcome arround here. Hmm..oh yea lets also ignore the 1000 replies strong topic where they complain about their visuals alright? Actually lets ignore the entire engineer forum We good? Good… now lets see how we can kitten off our engies more…hmm.. ah yea the hammer and mace we promised bout a year ago.. know what? Trash that too….or just say “its coming sometime.. yada yada” to keep em invested a little longer. Im really about to quit the game cause i just cant stand to look at my engineer anymore, im serios.. this clipping really is too much. Hard enough to dress a charr up like a proper engi (without looking like all other engies…what i sorta do cause of the magitech anyways) and then the darn hobosack clips with the slickpack like mad as bonus. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO FIX?! Do atleast that a-net. You dont give a kitten about the class… we all know that (cause how else you explain the lack of “tech armor” and the exquisite designs of the hobosacks) but to fix the code that makes the backpiece pop out of existance if you draw a kit cant be ALL THAT HARD…UGH

what i want from the gem store… hmm.. how about the same armor (texture AND mesh) quality for all races\genders for starters, more armors in general (maybe even with class specific designs for a change) skin versions of costumes (aka neatly split up into pieces not only a “1 click costume change” have two versions, costume AND skin), new animations and voices for chars, weight class ignoring transmutation charges (and dont come with the “cant combine different armor weights”…just look at the npcs or your last LS trailer), maybe something like a “tonic splitter” that turns your town clothes tonics into armor skins, a “build switcher” item that allows you to save a build and switch it with a click quickly (occ of course), a colour\style change for your magic abilties\projectiles\whatever else you got for your class to attack….thats all i can think off the top of my head atm.

IMO the “only one” set of numbers thing is stupid and reduces classes to just a few builds what makes pvp incredible boring. Its like in the COD games, you got your guy who runs arround with his darn knive(s), the quickscoper etc. Yea.. this comparison sucks but it boils down to it at the end if you think about it People need to use this few (meta) builds or they gonna suck, no room for tinkering, all comes down to how fast you can push your buttons. Carefull preperation and testing (aswell finding your very own way to battle) doesnt happen. Patch hits, skills get changed.. (maybe) the meta builds get changed and thats about it. Im prolly not “worthy” to question the holy meta…but doesnt it starts to feel…uhh “weird” after a while running always the same 2 to 4 (might be more dunno) builds per class? I mean i only did PVP for a short time.. to get the balthasar backpiece for my ele (and ended up didnt like how it looks on it so it was for nothing :\ ) and man.. i was bored after 2 hours and needed to stop to (im serios) not sleep away in my chair. Sure i suck in pvp but then again i dont care. Was more of a chore to get the thing then fun… and i do belive PVP should be fun. I mean its afterall a game…and games should be fun to my knowledge. Outwitting your opponent on the battlefield and also in build. As best with your very own style so you can say “yeap i just beat that guy with that build i made, took some tinkering and testing but i can work with this” Not sure if i return to pvp but heh…then again there isnt much to come back to. (for me atleast) Now bring on your “gtfo noob” posts if it makes you feel good.. like i said its JUST my opinion.

Wow, this is fantastic! I’d still want a visual toggle, but your work is great!

You should do some armor for charr and asura that doesn’t have tail/ear/horns clipping too while you’re at it. Heck, it can’t hurt to try having an influence, right?

Two thumbs up from this charr player anyway!

If id had the in game models id make armor for them anytime.. so yea if anybody can extract the darn models from the game, got a link with them (or tell me how id do that myself) i surely could come up with something for each race…and even if its just to kitten arround for fun

I must say though that i dont like the idea of massive tanks and cookers on my back either. Anything that makes me look like i should fall over from the weight on my back. Ever seen a slender human female mesmer with the most massive bulky spade-like greatsword?

Thats part of my problem really. The sacks on the back pretty much requires bulky armor to look borderline passable. The orrian temple armor is probably the best for it as far as style goes. And thats reasonable i guess, given that the human/norn presentation armor on character creation shows the temple armors.

But its just one armor set. And it doesnt even look technology-themed. Not when you have aetherblade and magi-tech, or hell, even CoE medium armor.

But the lack of tech-themed armor options i can understand, there are 7 more classes that must be pleased. What i cant accept is the detriment to any aesthetic choice, that is forced on us based on the most stupid reasons, and left on us purely out of indifference.

Well i personally love the overall idea behind the kits. Got yer backpack with your stuff and a fitting weapon in the hand. What i dont like is the poor visuals on said backpacks and weapons AND that you cant toggle the backpack if you dont want it (aswell beeing unable to holster the kit´s weapon. Is like an ele could never put his staff or whatever away)

The lack of tech armor is another pet peeve of mine.. ESPECIALLY cause i came to play a charr engineer. Saw the iron legion engineers in the game? CULTURAL T1 LIGHT ARMOR wtf a-net. Where is the kittening tech? Where are the turning gears? Where are the steam pipes? Where are the utility belts with potions and tools, pouches etc? Where are some back item skins that make sence for engineer? (like two or 3 turrets with a fitting frame to hold em ,dont worry.. eventually ill make a model of that too) Why only 4 monocles? Why only 1 pair of oversized goggles? Man.. engineer type armors is somewhere where you can shine sooo brightly if you want to. So many possible designs.. but nope.. gotta have a kittening coat cause it would be a sin to be more creative then this (counts for the kittening medium armors in general, thiefes and rangers got the same bullkitten). And if gears are not your thing.. man i could think of a ton of magitech\asura esque designs aswell..but nah… who kittening cares about the engineer class.. ONE OF THE TWO CLASSES they said they COULDNT ship the game without and pretty much the class who makes all the nice things like airships, tanks, mortars, anything asura shenanigan related… etc…etc possible to be even in the game and make sence. (other one is guardian in case you dunno)

And here.. my personal most hated (visual) kit… ol´hobocannon. The e-cannon is in my eyes a potion brewer\tank and a rather precise rifle…since it shoots tranquilizer darts as auto attack. Its other skills (cept the acid bomb) also get fired from the same barrel… yet WHERE are the hoses OR the darn tranquilizer darts? (or decent textures cause the entire thing is blurry as hell) Whatever.. thats my depiction. Slender rifle and sturdy looking cooker.

Seriously though, it looks nice. Again it’s not something that would fix the issue that this monstrosity of a thread has pointed out, but at least it looks cool.

Let’s not go down the road of “oh Basalt spent more time on these than the Devs! Omg they don’t care! They spent probably 30 minutes!”. It makes this whole thread lose credibility when we say things like that. Making a static 3d model is one thing, putting it into a game with animations, different character models, and attached to the use of other skills is another thing entirely.

well obviosly thats not my intention man…lets just say thats my way to bump. And actually to put that into the game isnt as hard as you think it is. I could bother to map, texture and skin it anytime but i dont have the skeleton and base mesh of the gw2 char models. I also cant extract them from the game files myself.. cause that goes beyond my knowledge. But yea..IF i could do that\have the skeleton and base mesh in my possession i easily could replace the in game models on my client. Still wouldnt solve anything though.. but heh im not a magican XD

edit: as for the texture.. id need a “sample” of the existing game ones aswell but like they are in the engine.. ya know for bump\glow\minimaps and file format (i assume its TGA but guessing doesnt heelp)

There hobobombs.. that makes more sence then the current one… Simple, not many technological parts since they wouldnt serve any purpose… but heh.. atleast it got a torch.. thats something i suppose.

Yeap seems we cant have nice things according to A-net. Want your LS backpack displayed? Nah.. hobosack. Want the hobosack atleast to fit your armor you worked hard for to get (or paid money for the visuals)? Nah.. lets make em brown\red to ensure it clashes really with everything. Got a legendary weapon? Heh… think again says the hobosack. Can deal with the colour, got a backpiece and atleast dont want to have a clipping galore on your back? Nope.. hobosack feels it needs to be always present. Its mocking you, laughing in silence. “So you wanna look as cool as that warrior over there? Heh.. not on my watch kittener. You KNOW you need my skills to fight effective, you are my little kitten….and i wont go away. got the same issue.. BUT i can enter the game.. all works flawless CEPT dungeons\fractals and instances as soon as i wanna enter with a group..

Like the title says… and i really dunno whats causing this cause till last patch all worked just fine. I can join parties just fine, all maps load, wvw works, pvp works aka basically all works just fine but as soon as i want to enter a dungeon with a group i get an error message that the client lost connection to the server. If i open the dungeon\fractal\instance myself i get a long kitten loading screen and eventually the very same message on white background followed by the client shutting down and bringing me back to my desktop. Any ideas how to fix that?

was a bit sad that the statue is just re-used from the charr tutorial. Sadly it was equally easy to defeat it… only real difference was that ya gotta kill the healers and attack it while its shield is down…really nothing special :\

Ah, but it actually only says that it will be cleansed by the rightful king of Ascalon. It’s entirely possible that refers to a Charr, since they originally occupied the lands before humans took over. Adelbern may have laid a curse without realizing the actual implications.

Problem with that logic is, if that were to be true.. Then a Grawl would be the rightful King, since Grawl occupied Ascalon long before either Charr or Human :P

BUT, Rytlock is actually 1/8 Grawl and 3/16 Forgotten. Obscure but true fact of pure authenticity.

i dont even want to know how this is possible…or was…how to say… uhhh.. conceived.

Meh.. support that stuff by buying gems and done. Ill keep doing it as long as they supply me with entertainment and some nice looking armor or weapon skins or hairdos or whatever (i refuse to buy costumes though cause i hate that i cant mix em with other armors). So yea.. if they dump today some new cool armor set or weapon skin into the store they shall have my gems like everytime they put something good on sale

I play engineer as main since i play guild wars and i hardly wasnt welcomed.. cept by the usual “only guard, war ele or gtfo” guys.. but i honestly couldnt give less of a kitten about these type guys. I in fact find it funny to see groups like these struggle in pve situations (especially fractals) cause for example the ele cant be bothered to heal the group and eventually dies somewhere in a corner before he was able to heal himself.. ya know attunement switching takes more time then to deploy and nuke a healing turret, the war rushes ahead to show off and hobbles then towards the ele to get healed cause he took too much abuse before he waits a second for the healing turret of the engi thats pretty much ducktaped to the enemie cause of the low range on bombs and the guard cares more about his own defence then the group and ranges with his scepter or whatever. I mean i cant force myself on ppl like this but i got my chuckle if i gotta then solo a boss cause the group ignores the toolbox on legs that the engi is. Perfect for support… but nah no need to take advance of the engi, lets just ignore the combo fields and even move out of the fire field before i use blast finishers to stack might or the smoke field to stack stealth. Though what i noticed that mesmers, thiefes and rangers like to flock arround me (or atleast stay in the range of my healing turret and e-cannon) in said pve related situations cause they seem to get that i actually try to support them. Well the group i run with atm is composed of wars, guards and eles and they learned to love having me arround cause of the many things i can pull out of my skillset. In fact first time i played with them they actually couldnt belive that they never needed to heal themselfes at boss stacking and constantly asked where the extra might and vun stacks came from. Complete mind blow happened after i dropped an elixir r on them cause they where all downed at stacking and as i casually walked up the electric stairs at the asura fractal without taking any evasive movements (gear shield and elixir-s ftw) while they struggled to go up or as i popped a reflection wall with elixir-u. Im for sure not the best engi but still.. its fun to see ppl getting mind blown on what the class can do if you take some time to plan out and tinker arround with the skills.

Finally my flamer/ e-gun \ bomb kit build is gonna not only make me close to impossible to get down in pve (compared to other builds)…its even gonna do decent damage. I fear i need to make some alterations to it thanks to the new changes, maybe even the bomb kit gotta go for certain situations where i know im not gonna need the combo fields but man… cant wait to finally run the build i WANT to run and dont be a liability to my group. To be fully honest.. bombs and grenades are without a doubt powerfull kits, the “master race” of offensive kits so many combo fields to set up, so many possible ways to really really kitten over some enemies… but how to say… they just dont feel good to use (to me atleast). The flamer on the other hand…it just feels good to use it. Sure.. its not as “colourfull” like the assortment of explosives and their combo fields, really dont gonna argue that point but back then as i started to play guild wars2 and made my first char (whats still my main), it was an engineer. I bought the game as i saw what engineers can do…and i saw the flamethrower, the turrets, the rifle jumping and nets and all the goodies and it was love at first sight. The first kit i unlocked was then naturally the flamer , shortly after that the e-cannon came to my possession and i just loved how these two kits synergised…almost like a perfect tag team of kits…if i may call it that way. Sure.. my damage was crap no matter what i did and how i looked at it and i often spend days to try to find a possible way to make this happen and be REALLY effective (not mediocre). Runes of strength, juggernaut trait, fireforged trigger, deadly mixture, sigil of force… but all in vein. Flamer just didnt do enough damage to be my offensive. Eventually i just gave up and switched to bombs, broke my heart… but watcha gonna do, be a liability to your team? I hoped for a miracle and it came now. Finally the flamer is going to be a blaze… thanks a lot a-net to finally allow to enjoy my favourite class like i always wanted to. I will try to “reduce” the bomb kit to an utility kit and keep the group supplied with the awesome combo fields and let the flamer be my offensive, my e-gun stays where it is.. my way to escape with a blast finish, be annoying from a decent range (whats not all that scrawny with a few stacks of might and its 1-2-3 skills) and heal aswell stunbreak. Well.. im not good with numbers and calculations BUT if its going to be as epic as i make it up in my mind atm… then there will be an inferno of fun (for me atleast) without loosing any utility cept stacking vun. Can i deal with it? Bet your kitten i can. Two fire fields a new blast finish roughly all 5 seconds, a blind that even works if you are knocked down, and another pushback? SOOOO much yes. I couldnt be happier… well actually i could if the hobosack issue would be fixed but lets not ruin the moment.

how about we meet in the middle and fix the entire class from visuals to skills and make ALL skills\kits viable and usefull aswell the engineer´s visuals pretty?

Let’s start with explosives/mines and turrets.

And to the people missing the point, it’s not difficult to put in a checkbox to toggle displaying them.

Yea.. that checkbox is pretty much all thats asked for anyways. You can make your engi look kitten anytime… TILL you start to fight thats the issue

Oh wow I just stumbled across this! I can’t even bear the thought of making an engineer simply for the reason of hobo sacks, as appearance is everything in this game.

… and then I activated the grenade kit and remembered why I haven’t been playing engineer.

With a lack of incentive to aim for cosmetic horizontal progression, less people play engineers. So they represent less of the player base. So they sink lower on the list of priorities. So the problem persists, and less people roll engineers.

One day a day may come when there are simply no more engineers. No more jumps in technology. Nobody to prevent the golem uprising, or protect the Black Citadel from the tyranny of Flame Legion heretical magics. In the ensuing choas, Elder Dragons will of course rampage unchecked, waypoints flickering out like candles in the wind. Cut off from foreign lands and friendly allies, besieged by their own, the races of Tyria will perish alone.

And when the Dragons have eaten their fill and return to slumber, only the undying Hobosack will remain, eternally awaiting the next cycle, a testament to our folly, a destroyer of worlds.
