Don’t forget to add the timezone difference even within regions. How many hours does NA west and eastcoast differ for example? West/East europe? And that’s now even mentioning people who don’t live in either NA or europe.

Well, if it was a champion it would take longer to kill, thus more time to get credit for shockwave jumping. Simple. It could have more health, but the damage it does is quite right.

I’ve jumped over 10+ shockwaves, got credit for 2 in total. Killing cocoons on the spider also seemed very hit and miss.

I think most people would understand if they don’t. I’d rather see them be at home celebrating christmas with their families. Releasing the next update on Dec 23rd would also not be a good idea. I mean, what if problems arise with the update that needs fixing. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind waiting until next year. Besides, Wintersday will be here for quite a while.

Personally I would like to see the following changes (alot of it probably already mentioned in previous comments):

-The ability to change the color of the tag.
-If you are in a squad you should be able to see other people in the squad
-Guild Commanders, both as an option for the normal tag, or a cheaper tag for guild only. If someone is tagged up as a guild commander, only the guild can see the tag.

A comment to Yksdoris: There are not always people tagged up on a borderland/eb. It would also disallow guilds from running their own events, untagged. Or keep roaming groups from ninjaing a tower etc. So, Siege for squadmembers only, no thanks.

Saw one in Gendarran fields as well and someone came across one in wvw. I suspect we will know more on tuesday when the next preview comes out.

I think it’s pretty clear. The system had not updated your main, since you had not logged it on. When you ran with your alt, the system only knew about your alts current personal level (after the update), which went up to 15. When you logged on your main, the system updated your previous level 49 to the reset level 30. It’s not a bug, but it might be an oversight on their part.

If, however you had logged on your main first, letting it update, then logging on your alt, you would have started at personal lvl 30.

When I first heard about skin unlocks back before the achivement overhaul with chests and stuff got released, I was so looking forward to the same treatment being given to metas for the living story stuff. This really should be available for meta reward skins and store skins, or else anet is acting pretty dumb.

Currently I’d say 3/5. The challenge rooms and final instance was fun, though a tad bit easy. Besides no problem finishing all the achievements during one single day.

That ramp is dangerous to run down, that’s for sure :P Learned that running forward a little bit at a time helped.

Scepter+Dagger/staff conditionmancer with condition/toughness/vitality armor weapons and condition/toughness/piercing rings etc.

I had no problems to solo the last instance (did it three times solo). Groupwise though, it wasn’t hard either, just the first room being a bit dangerous.

Personally I didn’t find any need to adjust my tactics much on the boss. The only difference being avoiding toxic spores. The npcs were bugged too so they weren’t even with me.

Skritt-Quaggan alliance.

Noticed the same thing, although still managed to do the “no dying” achievement without them on my necro.

I would love to be able to run in permanent wolf form on my Norn Guardian. It’s basically the only racial elite I use on any race.

The perfect solution would be to make it like in wow, where you can select from any mini you have, from anywhere.

The thing is, it’s not hard getting past them. It’s not challenging, it’s just annoying.

I guess taking 1/3 health off a gate using a flameram isn’t enough damage. Er..?

At the same time, before the current matchup, poking the gate was enough to get credit. It’s definitely bugged.

Oh, I did enough damage alright, rammed the gate and used structural weakness and everything, did tons and tons of damage. Didn’t get credit. Nor for ANY other gate for the entire day.

Same happened here, could alt+f4 to close down the game though.

Guild-commander tag (separate, only people in the guild would be able to see the tag on the map. Very useful for guild events)

Personally I would want to see new beards. Especially for human males since the current beards for human males seriously lacking in beardishness. New faces would be nice too.

Sure, Kiel might seem like Trahearne 2.0 right now, but we have no idea how she will evolve. For all we know, anet might as well mess up Gnashblade and turn him into Trahearne 2.0 after the election is over.

The answer is simple, its all a matter of opinion. Art is highly subjective. There is no true definition of what is and what is not art, no matter what anyone says. Its up to each and every one to decide what they think.

I say, yes, Guild wars 2 is art. Because that is my opinion and thus it holds true for me. If five billion people said to me that its not art, does not invalidate my opinion. Its still art to me. It is also entertainment.

Then of course, then we have all the art involved in making the game. Many different forms of art, but thats another story.

Its possible that someone else had used the password before on some forum somewhere that got hacked or whatever, and that password ended up on one of the password lists that the hackers spread, which ANET probably picked up on, and in order for account thieves to not simply go through the list (assuming they knew your email adress and wanted to steal your account) until they found the correct password. They are doing you a favor Or something..

I would not sub for gw2, even if I do love the game.

And if you have trouble doing T3, well.. the solution is simple. Do T2. The difference in merits isnt humongous, and the personal rewards are the same.

You must be horribly unlucky then I get ectos from most of the level 75+ rares I salvage using a Black lion salvage kit (I never bother with those of lower level than 75) and will likely keep doing so and getting ectos from most of the rares until Im out of BL salvage kits in which case I wont buy more but hope for them from dailies or black lion chests.

Ive had a ton of times where an event chest never showed up until quite a while after the event finished, including dragon, maw, fire elemental, mega destroyer and shadow behemoth reward chests. Fortunately I know where they spawn. I run at max graphic settings.

True true, but over simplified in this case because there is actually one case in which it is possible to put in more time / actions / whatever in blocks within the a cycle (between resets) than another player does spread out across cycles and gain less rewards from the specific mechanic.

Of course to try to make that argument work you have to somehow ignore the simple fact that longer blocks of gameplay allow for different activities which are rewarded in different mechanics… mind you those activities tend to require greater engagement with other players…

I wonder if the OP and the others who share their point of view are big on the party play.

Had you read the OP, you would have noticed it was not about his getting or not getting the daily reward, it was about not wanting others to get rewards that increased their supply of coin. This was due to his conclusion that it devalued his pile of virtual cash. The thread has been hijacked since then. However, lumping the OP in with others who’ve posted lately might not be accurate.

Ive asked about transmuting order equipment and moving it to different character (with white items) from support few weeks ago and this is the answer i got.

The issue you reported with being able to transmute Basic items and bypass soulbound restrictions is not the intended design of transmutation. Our Quality Assurance team has already been notified of the issues with this and are working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

In the past, there was a similar issue with Order of the Whispers skins that were acquired by players who were not a part of the Order of Whispers. When the issue was resolved, all items that had these skins applied on characters that should not be able to receive them were wiped and the skins were lost. Any items that are currently benefiting from this issue will likely see a similar resolution with the unintended skin being removed from the character and unrecoverable. Taking part in this issue would see the risk of losing your items.

So i would personally be cautious while doing this. Its confirmed that you wont get banned from doing it, but your item might get removed if you do this.

If they have half a brain they would not do such a thing and if they were actually smart they would add a vendor after you become pact commander, that allows you to purchase order gear from the other orders. Unfortunately, the devs judgment is sometimes… lacking.. to say the least.

Wow had a feature for the guild banks where you could only take out x number of items and x number of gold, per day. However, no such feature exists for GW2 yet, but I hope one will be added soon. As a matter of fact, there are alot of things that would be welcome for the organization of the guild.. like last logged on, more advanced guild bank rules and other things.

Also, if the written guild rules say that you may only take x amount of items or gold without asking and you clean out the guild bank then yes yes, its stealing as per the guild rules. It is however, not enforcable by ANET.

It is still stealing depending on the rules of the guild etc. Whether anet takes any action against said thing is irrelevant.

Sometimes I get 3 ectos from 5 rares in a row. Sometimes I get no ectos from 5 rares in a row. RNG stinks
