Just because we personally wouldnt empty the bank if given the chance, doesnt make us Naive. Im sure most of us are perfectly aware of the fact that there are people who would.

It can still be stealing if someone empties the guildbank, guilds have rules, though not all of them enforced by the game or even ANET. If the guild rules say “You may only withdraw 1 gold per day, if you really need it. If you really need more, ask an officer first for permission” Now should you still take out all the gold and run away with it, yes, its stealing.

If someone has a shared account in the bank with lets say the husband/wife and there is 100k in the account. Is it perfectly fine for the other half to take it all out and just leave the country never to be seen again?

If, on, lets say that office table Danikat mentioned, there were 1000 cakes (just to use a stupidly high number) and 1000 pies. Would it be perfectly fine if one person takes ALL of it? Probably not, Im sure there are set rules for people only to take just what they need. Should they abuse the trust they are given, there would be consequences.

The gw2 stuff timers are good, while it also helps prevent timer trolling being as much of a serious issue, it also helps if.. lets say someone like me, is not entirely sure how the site works and accidently clicks “Things are happening”. Not much explanation for things on the site :P

It should not be a bannable offense. The guild is in complete control over who has access to the the guild bank. The dinner party analogy is flawed. Here is a better one: Would you put someone on your real life bank account that you just met? Would you allow someone access to your real life bank account that you don’t trust?

In other words, if you give someone the opportunity to misbehave or commit a crime he is entitled to do so?

Exactly. If someone’s name is on a bank account, they are perfectly able to drain the account and never talk to you again.

Being ABLE to do something does NOT mean you should do it.

I never said you should do it – in fact if you read my posts, I said it was scummy. All I’m saying is that it is not stealing, and the person cannot be punished for it. There are a lot of kitten moves out there that are perfectly legal.

So, if I invite a friend to my house, and i leave my wallet on the table for a little while, its perfectly legal for him to take it? It wouldnt be stealing? Someone is let into a bank vault to check on their deposit box and it turns out that there is an unlocked deposit box close to it, is it perfectly legal for them to take all the stuff from it?

I think this is one people notice more, rather than going to the account section. At the very least a link in the first post of that thread, to the bot hot spots thread would go a long way. Perhaps making a consolidated post on all the info, links etc that are related to botting, what you are doing about it, how to report etc.

Near goldslost swamp on Far Shiverpeaks, encountered a teleporting gatherer chopping down some trees. It was a hunter. Not sure of the time, but it was not long before shadow behemoth pre-events were up.

Where is this bot hotspot thread of which you are talking about. I tried to find it a little while ago but with no luck (even if searching). Link?

It’s really sad that this thread has continued on so long when there is absolutely nothing positive or constructive about it. It’s just a bunch of people making fun of others based on a difference of opinion. Nothing more. Nothing good will ever come from this thread other than some laughs for a few and some moans for others.

What’s even worse is that I had to listen to this ridiculous debate in LA map chat yesterday, which of course turned ugly rather quickly. It’s always a shame to see crap like this on the boards but to then have to deal with the same crap in game is just saddening. Very saddening.

Dont worry they are going to lock this thread just like all the others and try and shove this under the rug while telling us to use the in game reporting tool, which is impossible 99% of the time because they teleport so fast you are unable to click on them most of the time.

There are other ways of reporting. You could, if fast enough, take a screenshot of the bot. Then write a support ticket (and include the screenshot if you managed to take one), put down as much details as possible about the incident, like where it happened, when it happened, the name of the bot etc, just like they said you should if you werent able to report using the ingame option.

There have been several of these threads popping up, there have been several answers but guess what, posting multiple threads on the very same issue does not help them to get rid of the problem at all. Chances are they are already aware of the botting issues and are working on it.

I didnt really read through the thread but there is one huge reason for running a guild mission tier a second or third time. For the ones in the guild that missed the mission and thus didnt get a reward the first time.

I was kind of kitten off when playing my sylvari once the trahearne missions started. Not only was I the one who got Caledbolg back from some silly champion in Kessex Hills (with the help of some hilarious mushrooms), but I also was the one who got that silly sylvari chick out of the mirror, WITHOUT the help of Trahearne.. later there is no mention of any of my actions. Not even the slightest aknowlegement. Suddenly the pale tree gives Caledbolg to that dirtbag of a firstborn.. the sword I personally recovered. To be honest, thats when I started to really hate Trahearne. Didnt care for him in the sylvari storyline… wish that he had just gone off and wilted somewhere..

You should have seen the LA chat on far shiverpeaks a couple of days ago. Someone said “finally” and linked a legendary. Then people started saying finally and linked this and that. Though me saying “Finally, [Your sister]” put an end to it.

And your point? I will not kill the in game rabbits. If you have a problem with that, it’s YOUR problem. You can play anyway you want. I don’t know you, don’t play with you, so who cares? I will play the way I want (which is not at all currently) and it’s actually rather odd that you seem to care so much how I play? I wonder, can you explain how a complete stranger not wanted to kill an animated animal that I see as a pet in an online game effects you in any way, shape or form?

I never said anything about what you do ingame. I do not care what you do ingame. You were the one bringing up your experiences with real life pet rescue and cruel people that do cruel things to animals. I just pointed out that it wasn’t in any way connected to people killing pixel bunnies ingame.

10, several times. But it might just be luck. Used to have mostly bad drops pre-patch while the people I run with got good drops alot of the time. Though only reached 10 in reward level last time I ran it so I cant speak for the daily chest reall .

Im seeing the opposite. Ive been getting better loot from fractal chests lately.

I certainly find no pleasure in killing wolves, they are my favorite animal by far. But..Its just a game and they are walking lootbags/potential daily killer targets/xp. Nothing personal and they do attack me first.

As for good wolves in literature, if you can, read the two books in the wolves of time series by William Horwood. Awesome books!

Personally I dont think there is anything to say about the living story thus far. There is simply not much to it yet, considering its hardly even started. Im sure we will see more interesting additions to the living story this month and the coming months.

I read alot of books, and its very common for a story to start out small then escalate as time goes. Heck, some books in a series hardly even start for real until the second or third book.

Killing other humanoids, deer, bears, wolves, whatever, but oh no.. not dat cure wittle wabbit. No kid, adult or otherwise that is right in the head will equate killing ambient creatures to bashing real rabbits etc to death. Now if your kids do equate it to that, you obviously need to have a talk with your kids. And if they do go out and kill bunnies or whatever after playing the game and doing ambient killer, there was probably already something wrong with them in the first place, and they need serious help… So dont blame the game.

Personally, I find the little cabin in godslost swamp to be the perfect place to do ambient killer. Tons and tons of frogs and ravens there.

People playing whisperer fall the hardest, you go from a super charismatic funny character like Tybalt dropping down to the empty character, with the charisma of a tree, called Trahearne. The voice actor is not necessarly bad, but his lines are too long and he would more be at his place playing a bad guy priory NPC who knows everything better or to sing children to sleep.

No, trahearns voice actor isnt neccesarily bad, he is simply horribly crappy. He has an absolutely terrible, uncharismatic, mindnumbing, sleep-inducing voice with not even the slightest hint of emotion. How he is able to inspire anyone is beyond me. Im suprised the troops dont fall asleep during his speeches. Ive listened to some of the other voice overs and watched clips of the voice actor in several movies. It aint much better there.. Its like he reads his lines from top to bottom without even trying to put any effort into it, just wanting to get it over with and go home.

With a moderate amount of people, the krait are no problem. But I can see there being an issue if there are alot more people as the event scales up and becomes alot more dangerous due to the improved Krait.

Wait what? Every boss chest drops a rare? Im thinking the op has been lucky. Most of the time I just get blues and greens from boss chests, both in fractals, dungeons and open world bosses (including dragons).

Daily Mist invasion or whatever its called. 10 wvw player kills basically.

The new daily IS ment to push people slightly out of their comfort zone. It IS ment to bring people to zones to do things that doesnt just involve farming in orr.

The new dailies are awesome!

Ive used signet of undeath several times on my necro, immensly useful. You dont always have time to run over to someone and res them, especially if you take extra damage for standing still (like the flame shaman in fractals).

I’d prefer if the tracker would collapse only when I wanted it to… as would alot of people I guess. The limit of 5 displayed tracked items is really annoying as well…

Norn are pretty much ruled out if you dislike drinking loads of alcohol, on the other hand you are pretty loud and not afraid to be yourself.

Asura, well you arent good at mathematics, but you like to think for yourself and not follow others. Also you are short. They do pull some stunts to get ahead of other crewes which in some cases might involve hurt. Though they do make odd jokes at times.

Charr, well, charr can be loud as well and you do love cats.

Sylvari, hrm, they are pretty peaceful, they love nature, they are weird and make odd jokes at times.

Humans, they are simply boring..

Not to mention dodging the rocks that the worms in dredgehaunt cliffs throw at you (dodge backwards or forwards so you dodge through the impact point and you’ll get 2-3 evades), dodging flame legion incinerators in fireheart rise (dodge backwards through their fire you can get several evades) and many more! There are sooooo many mobs that you can use to get easy dodges (it would make more ense to call it daily evades though) in so many areas!

Nasty fire on the ground? Dodge through it for multiple evades. Nasty cloud of poison? Dodge through it for multiple evades? Oh so the enemy bombards you with arrow carts and boiling oil? Dodge through it for multiple evades!

Just a question, is the total makeover kit consumed upon usage or can I cancel it and try it on another char?

Ive set my expectations low on purpose, that way I wont be as dissapointed if things dont turn out as well, or overjoyed if they do turn out great!

Have you run into any dynamic events that were connected to your personal story? If so, what were they?

So far I’ve found two, one was killing a veteran svanir schaman that wanted to avenge Steag Frostbeards death. He just jumped down from a tree as I was walking by in dredgehaunt cliffs.

The other was connected to the mesmer story branch (One of the choices you make after visiting the dream version of orr) and was during a story mission.. not an instanced one though. It was in fireheart rise I belive and sent me to a cave where I had to investigate a corpse. After I had done that illusions attacked me, which apparently was an event that I trigged because of my personal story. One other person was there (not in myu party) and got credit for the event as well.
