Game over
Noticed this too, and its extremely annoying.
So THATs what I heard the other day, wondered what the heck was doing it.
Oh, the path is not an issue. Its mistiming the jumps :P
Ive had tons and tons of fun with the clocktower, between occurances of almost smashing my first into my keyboard. But.. I have mostly only myself to blame. So.. for my own sanitys sake, I.. no.. dont give up.. but save it for next year!
It wouldnt be a suprise if they told us
The biggest chance of finding a door is the camp the one that spawns south of shaemoor waypoint in queensdale. It spawns just south of the pumpkin field. Better than to run around like crazy. This while the events are bugged.
Well I wouldnt mind them extending the event, just leaves the rest of us more time to complete stuff. Is it right for them to do so, I couldnt say.
Yes, its not designed very well.
1. People getting in the way.
2. The camera messes with you just like in alot of jumping puzzles.
3. Small bits of terrain.
However, its still fun. No, I havent finished it yet, but Ive tried, numerous times and getting frustrated as well. The camera issues need to be fixed, but that wont be done for this event.
Yes, I love how they advertised the game as “endgame starts at level one”, basically levels aren’t too important, then a holiday comes out and they screw low level players.
How so? Lower leveled players can…
1) Participate in getting the first book of the Mad Mind
2) Compete in both the mini-game PvP’s of the Inquisition and the Reaper’s Rumble
3) Participate and complete the Clock Tower jumping puzzle
4) Mine for candy corn
6) Costume Brawl
So…just because they can’t do EVERYTHING, doesn’t mean that lower level characters are being cast out of the events. They’re just limited to that they can’t fight the level 80 Champion (Labrynth), or due the 2nd book section. So what?
Actually, anyone in the mad kings labyrinth will be scaled up to level 80. They can fight the level 80 champion just fine although perhaps not as well as an actual level 80, same reason why a level 80 is better in wvw compared to a lower level char scaled up to 80. So… that leaves.. the book..
ONE thing out of all the things that can be done during the event (I dont count crafting)!
And its desinged for human race who already discovered map while leveling.
Due time for non-humans to explore it then!
At christmas its probably gonna be centered around the norn areas.
Yes please! Hoelbroek and Divinitys reach for example, are quite empty, but I’m preeeeeeetty sure they would be quite full if there were special events in them.

Signed, sounds like a wonderful idea!
Actually, they have said they would improve the drops, but they didnt have it done for halloween so it will come later on.
They are called group events for a reason. There are plenty of other events that you can solo. Heck, alot of them can even be more fun if you solo them.
If they were smart they would have kept the old box and just added in the draggable arrow.
Its because its new, since the halloween update. Daily and monthly achivement now gives karma consumables that are accountbound.
I would like to suggest two new filters in the crafting window.
Seasonal: Shows/hides seasonal crafting recipies.
Component: Shows any item that is a component for another, for example a consumable that is also a component of another cooking recipy.
Being able to filter out anything that is red in the discovery tab would be nice as well.
Another thing that would be awesome would be to have a stack button in the bank, similar to the one for the bags, but it wouldnt compress everything, just stack that which is stackable if there are more stacks of something, and the stacks are not full.
Resizing the bank window, this would do a world of good! Or even being able to decrease the size of the slots! Actually alot of windows need to be resizable.
Cooking is fine as it is, although I’d like to see a new filter option in the crafting window. “Is component” that only displays recipies for things that can be used as components for other recipies. That would help immensly when trying to discover, instead of having to manually look at each and every recpiy to see if there are stuff that are not only normal food but that can also be used in other recipies.
That is, simply filters out anything that doesnt have cooking (whatever skilllevel) in the tooltip.

33 years old and loving the game to bits even though my attention is currently divided between this and borderlands 2 (gamewise that is. Dont even talk about irl, haha).
Been playing through all the betas and since pre-release. Now I would have had at least one or two level 80 chars by now… but.. Im an altoholic. 8 chars (one of each class), ranging from level 20 to level 53.. three of which are level 50ish.
They should be encouraging people to group, not forcing them.
No you are not the only one. I dont know what happened, but a couple of patches ago alot of them started breaking one by one. Same with skillpoints.
Not to mention mobs that are at their spawn point and you attack them, suddenly they go invunerable and move the extremely short distance back to their spawn point and reset..
Last night was the first time I ever ran explorables, did AC ex path 1 and 3 and got 60 tokens per path, so at least for me at that time it did work.
Yeah. Thankfully the other parts of the event chain leading up to the settlement being attacked still work (since they run in paralell with eachother kind of).
Had this bug again last night, now it didnt override the other sound like it used to, but still extremely annoying. However, it did go away after some time. Happened in lions arch.
The first time I encountered this was from the risen grubs in caledon forest. Extremely annoying.
The short and easy explanation is: There are bugs with the new system and they are working on fixing it.
Not having raids is one of the better things in gw2.
An MMO is never truly a final product.
I agree, the hitboxes definitely needs to be bigger. AC explorable is fun, but the defend events on path 1 and 3 are unneccesarily difficult simply due to this bug.
Did AC explorable for the first time last night, first path 3 and then path 1. The main problems we had was that, 1. Not taking down breeders fast enough and getting overwhelmed with summons from them. 2. The burrow hitbox is crap, I tried with staff, greatsword and hammer on my guardian.. alot of the time I only managed to hit one third of the time if not less. 3. On hodgins, we had problems with one of the burrows, due to being ganked by the scavengers, but we fixed that in the end by leaving one of the burrows alive, thus delaying the spawn of that specific burrow.
Out of those 3, 2 were a matter of difficulty and coming up with the correct tactics, but the burrow hitbox really needs to be fixed.
I hardly found any, and then I took my time to explore and farm in caledon forest, probably found 30 vanilla compared to none in other zones.
The lower level areas also suffer from bugs like this on several skill challenges and dynamic events.
Its been bugged along with alot of other events.. for days.. on far shiverpeaks. Problem is one broken event might halt an entire event chain.
Why do you think there is an engineer parked with his turrets out and afk alot of the time in the kessex hills bridge event? At least on far shiverpeaks.
Its far from just the higher level areas that have these issues. The problems start already in the starter areas. I think Ive reported at least 5 broken skill challenges and 5-7 broken events minimum while doing level 1-35 areas. The thing is, alot of these were working fine until a couple of patches ago then they really started breaking.
As for the broken skill challenges, in some places it seems like the npc has fallen through the terrain (or for some odd reason invisible), like for example in beetletun, I can hear the npc yelling but he is nowhere to be found.

Problem is that this i so much more than just the trading post. Also last I checked all of the bltc was down, not just the trading post. Although to add, a twitter feed on the front page would be nice.
Yeah, cant log into Far shiverpeaks either. Oh well, guess that means I’ll have to attend something called real life :/ :P
