Seriously. Am I the only person that thinks that is kind of ridiculous? I mean you can be at the bottom of the water at bay and still have burning applied…Just a thought.

If you are looking for a perfect opportunity to get into a server that is about to remake itself, was never very zergy in the first place and is now even less so, FC would be worth a look.
FC was called ZERGuson’s for a reason…
I think its kinda funny folks from AR and ET saying FC is zergy. I guess its all about perspective, back when we were all tier 8 bottom feeders both those servers used to be fun to fight but now they struggle to field 10 people on a map. AR is truly dead from what I can see.
So sure, anything north of 10 people is going to get them screaming zerg. Most of us FC on the other hand cannot stand SF and GOM mega zergs which will out blob our entire WvW population on just one BL map.
FC BL will have normally 8-10 people total roaming in small groups unless there is a crisis, ie an enemy has come to zerg or an all out golem rush, and we have to manage sometimes with far less late night NA.
I don’t have a feel for how things are going to go now that WZ and EDGE have left, but I think we are going to get better, with smaller more focused groups and less blobbing.
We call you zergy because of how you fight. Unless your zerg outnumbers us by at least 3 to 1 you all run, hide, fight from a tower with siege. Same goes for 90% of your roamers, I chased 2 of them back to bay and they didn’t come out to fight until they had 5 people. Heck, there was several times today that you all jumped off cliffs at hills to avoid fighting. Why not at least try to fight if you are just going to kill yourselves?
TM…I seem to recall about 5 of you becoming loot in my inventory in a 2v5. Hope you like that Mesmer/Necro combo
Now please go exaggerate elsewhere.

Attention Ferguson’s Crossing, I’m not going to text wall you… however, The Brutal Enclave [Nors] is recruiting. We are a growing and fully upgraded PvX Guild. WvWvW/PvP/PvE/Dung&Fracs…theres not really much we won’t do. We are organizing WvWvW raids and havoc squads. Join us in teamspeak(details upon recruitment) and register with us at: http://thebrutalenclave.enjin.com
Well, I’ve got a few free character slots left so I can start a toon up on that server and check you guys out if that’s ok.
yeah man, look forward to it.
I’ve played this game before around launch and I never made a character to 80. Things came up and I ended up leaving the game. As a result, I never really got into the game or had a solid guild to play with. I’m looking for some helpful people to play with. PvP, PvE or just running around exploring. Anything is fine but everything is preferred.
I have some toons I really like, but most are low level enough (I think) that I can just re-roll on whatever server the guild happens to be on.
I do play in an odd timezone though. Japanese time zone. But I play late at night after work and/or school. So if your guild is active during morning-afternoon and maybe early evening Est. that would be ideal.
I am kind of a casual player, but as I get more and more involved in a guild and the game I’m hoping to get into the game a little more seriously.
Please let me know if I sound like a fit for your guild!
If you are really going to go through with deleting your toons to reroll servers, I would be happy to include you in “[Nors] The Brutal Enclave”. We are a smaller but fully upgraded PvX guild(PvX means “player versus everything” as to imply that we participate in all aspects of the game.) quickly gaining members. We focus on providing our members with a helpful and fun atmosphere, as opposed to the normal hierarchical design most guilds follow. We are from Ferguson’s Crossing, I hope you will consider us.
0_0 to many bumps
FC’s two biggest zergy guilds mostly left the server this week. I think from what I see we have actually gotten better with smaller groups working more targets, though its hard to tell this week against ET and AR.
If you are looking for a perfect opportunity to get into a server that is about to remake itself, was never very zergy in the first place and is now even less so, FC would be worth a look.
Its true OP, definitely look us up. Ferguson’s Crossing.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read. I am recruiting players from Ferguson’s Crossing for [Nors] a growing and fully upgraded PvX guild. We are a smaller guild quickly gaining members. We are organizing WvWvW havoc squads and raids. We PvP
and we can run any dungeon. We in The Brutal Enclave intend to provide players native to the server with a sense of belonging and comradery, so that we may strengthen bonds amongst players in Ferguson’s Crossing. Join us in teamspeak, and register with us at our website(http://thebrutalenclave.enjin.com)
Hello fellow fergs, I am recruiting for [Nors]. A growing (WvWvW/PvP/Dung&Fracs) Guild. If you are from fergusons crossing and at all interested, Please leave a comment here in this thread. Join us in teamspeak to obtain WvWvW claiming/Upgrade activation abilities. We are a communal, non hierarchical guild that encourages our members to encourage and support each other’s success. Uh rewarding people for not transferring is basically rewarding people for not buying gems.
I’ll give you some time to figure out why anet doesn’t like that to happen
You honestly think giving a small reward to players picking and staying on one server will impact anet’s gem sales, let alone single-handedly stop people from transferring? You’re the one that needs time to think lol
You fail to understand that server transfers are basically 100% WvW-based with the introduction of megaservers. 2 years of apathy and 2 awful seasons wasn’t enough to convince you that every big WvW move by anet is done to encourage transfers? Any motion to even suggest a reward to server loyalty is enough to discourage transfers based on the grounds that further rewards may be forthcoming.
Anet doesn’t want server loyalty, they want people to move as much as possible. While they are indeed awful at managing incentives, they at least know to not encourage what they do not want. For what it matters I’ve been on the same server since release so I’ll be glad to be proven wrong.
you continue to ignore the point. A small reward for players sticking with their server WILL NOT change this. I didn’t say that 100% of transfers aren’t WvW related, I said that a small reward will in no way impede this. If the winning servers are going to get rewards for “winning” because of massive transfers, then the people who put up with the population loss and continue to fight them regardless of the odds should get SOMETHING. I’m aware that Anet has a lot of money to be made with transfers, but the point is that rewarding these players will not stop them from making money. You’re making the scenario much more negative than it actually is. Players are ALWAYS going to transfer, these rewards can’t stop that.
Uh rewarding people for not transferring is basically rewarding people for not buying gems.

it would be great
I’m sure this topic has been made, however I did type the title into the search bar and came up with no results. Thus, I will pose a simple suggestion. Why not reward the players that spend extended periods of time in WvWvW on one team without transferring? I’m not saying get rid of transfers(some people have legitimate reasons for transferring). I’m just saying why not reward players who’ve logged multiple tournaments on ONE team? Or even the people who have been with their server since launch? I know it won’t stop servers from losing population, especially to higher tier servers, but atleast it will somewhat encourage players to pick a team and support it. Thoughts? “Flame suit engage”.
Well, I’m currently building [Nors] back to its potential. I had no way to log on for 2 months, and when I came back most people had transferred servers to place well in the spring tourney. If you’re looking for a guild that can do guild missions we can([Nors] is fully upgraded), I just need more players. I can totally help you with the aetherpath btw. However we are a fergusons crossing guild.
I am recruiting players from FC for WvWvW raiding parties and havoc squads. If From Fergusons Crossing and interested, please either message me in game at “Brutal Augus” or here on the forums at “Brutal Augus.5917”.
I’m currently seeking members to help raid/havoc group in WvWvW, run dungeon paths for gold, and socialize with. My server (ferguson’s crossing) as well as my guild has suffered major population loss. I honestly just want to see the server doing well again competitively. I implore you to help me accomplish this. Join The Brutal Enclave. Contact me either in game at “Brutal Augus.5917” or here on the forums for membership and role.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. The Brutal Enclave is a WvWvW raiding party/havoc group guild. We do dungeons/fractals/PVE, just not as regularly since we lost so many members to the spring tournament server swap cluster kitten. We’d reached 75 members just before the spring tournament, but have been reduced to 27 members now(everyone swapped servers before tourney :[ ). However, We are a fully upgraded and tight knit guild. If you are at all interested and are native to the fergusons crossing server, please contact “Brutal Augus” in game or here on the forums. I would really just like to see FC do well once again, and I believe we can help each other realize this goal.
Brutally Yours,
Brutal Augus

I do it because I have hope that that will change.
1 Profession balance
2 …profession balance
3 seriously, fix the profession balance
if you like mods, I would suggest a Bethesda Softworks/Zenimax title. Perhaps fallout or sky rim? The thing about it is, GW2 is an MMORPG…and opening it for the modded community would simply entail the risk of WAY TO MANY tamperers that would exploit this.
(edited by Brutal Augus.5917)
your a warrior anyway lol, if they add a “big balance patch” it would nerf the kitten out of you.
This is brilliant
I do not think they should remove zerg combat, but it would be nice if the AoE cap was removed and 10-15 had a chance against 20-25.
WvW was meant for large scale combat, and they already have stated they won’t be changing that. However, I would not be adverse to doubling the AoE cap from 5 to 10 to give superior players a chance against more numbers.
Zerg =/= blob. Gw2 doesn’t have issues with zerging, Gw2 has issues with blobing. In every other mmorpg i played, players were directly punished for stacking up. Take “Rift” conquest for example- total zerg fest: but players that were stacking up was getting totally wiped by groups that spread out in the field, circle them up and fry their blob with aoes till the y get nice and crispy and thats how it should be.
I agree with you. The thread topic said Remove Zergs, but I think blobbing is the bigger issue. DAoC made you strategically move around in a zerg, far enough apart to not be AoE bombed, but close enough together to keep large scale fights going. The AoE cap cripples WvW in this game, and promotes the blob mentality.
EDIT: To the poster above, several heal effects on Guardian effect the entire zerg, not just 5 people.
Name them please.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_guardian_skills
Read through them, several of the ones that heal an area, unless specified to a limit of 5 people, heal everyone in the target area. Not just 5 people in the target area.
Also, as it is not quite the same but I feel worth mentioning, some of the shouts that add the Regen boon affect everyone around you, not just 5 people as well.
I am aware however, that boons =/= straight healing, so take that as you may.
I am also aware that some of the abilities that DO only heal 5 allies do not state so, such as Empower in the staff skill set. However, there are others, such as heal area, that I have seen heal more than 5 people myself using the ability.
Virtues: 5 targets
Weapon skills: 5 targets
Symbols: 5 targets
Utilites: 5 targetsWhich ones specifically were u referring to?
Guardian staff skill 4 (empower)
I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one to ever have had an npc start doing something that either impedes the progress of the run or just gets in the way.
::My Example::
The “Kudu” boss fight in “Sorrows Embrace” story mode.
IMO this fight is easy, but that’s beside the point. Every time I get “Kudu” down to 75% of his health and he teleports to summon the first of three golems the npc by the name of “Zoja”(or however it’s spelled) takes it upon themselves to run up to the portal and hold the golem there in combat until they die in vain. It’s not that big a deal, it’s just annoying to have to wait on npc to needlessly die. My whole party usually consists of guild members and we always just wait in the open area beyond for her to inevitably die so we can nuke the golems and squash kudu, but that is also beside the point. What I am suggesting, is that there be given the dialogue option to tell the dungeon npc’s to “wait” or “stay” so that they are out of the way when they need to be. Sorry for text walling.
(edited by Brutal Augus.5917)
Seriously. I’m to the point where I hate essences of luck. They don’ t seem to have as amazing an effect I was lead to believe they do(300 and never get anything worth mentioning), and I hate clicking through the stacks.
Sorry, yes I was a bit unclear. You guild bank already runs a little slower than your personal bank because its trying to avoid mishaps where two people try to pull out the same item at nearly the same instant. You can’t manipulate partial stacks inside the shared space as much to avoid items being lost/destroyed as to prevent duplicating items. When two people try to add 50 items to an exiting stack of 200 items at the same time in an otherwise full bank where does the second set of 50 items go…? Straight to Support’s complaints to-do list
.
There may be more elegant solutions, but the one they settled on is one of the simplest – the ONLY transactions allowed are move entire stack in or pull entire stack out. The resulting bookkeeping is a lot simpler than safeguarding against multi-user corner-cases both accidental and deliberate.
I see. That makes a lot of sense actually.
It IS a big deal and that’s why its not going not happen. Mixing numbers inside the shared space is a recipe for disaster with people doing all kinds of multi-player pushes and pulls that result in extra items being created or Support wrestling with tickets over items being destroyed.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying that if I were able to add to the stack inside guild bank it would somehow be manipulated into creating extra items? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just asking for clarification.
He’s saying you have to be a bit careful programming something where two users might modify a single piece of data “simultaneously.” If precautions are not taken you can have items disappear, duping, etc.
But this is a very standard and well-known programming issue that IMO should not be a barrier to doing what is proposed in the OP.
Oh, I see. Thank you for clarifying : )

Please fix the guild bank so that we can stack items without having to withdraw the already deposited amount to add to it.
Example:
I have 100 orichalcum ore in guild bank. I have another 100 I’d like to add to it. When I drag the 100 from my inventory to the 100 in guild bank, the box turns red
denying me from adding them together. This forces me to drag the already deposited amount into my inventory and combine from there.
I know this isn’t that big of a deal, but please fix.
I had an issue with the guild bank/treasure trove, but the suggestions forum seemed to be the only appropriate place to post about it…but I can’t post there now. Oh well
Interestingly enough, somebody over at mmorpg.com (a fairly popular MMO website) just recently started a thread asking players which MMO most disappointed them. Not the worst game, but the MMO that least lived up to player expectations for it and least fulfilled it’s potential. Tons of players posted their choice, and GW2 was the runaway winner … even beating out SWTOR.
The only thread I could find that was related to GW2 was this:
http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/403589/page/2
I’m actually sad to say that I agree with most of the people that are hating on GW2. Mainly the part where someone said something like: “They took everything you liked from Guild Wars 1, threw it out the window, and then turned the game into a puzzle jumper”. That was brilliantly said. I pretty much only played this game for the Jumping Puzzles and the dynamic events, but when I was bored with those, I deleted my characters and uninstalled without a second thought.
Don’t know who posted that, but they’ve somehow read my mind.
Uh…guardians? I’m sorry, but really? They do not need to nerf guardians in any way. What would they do? Make our health pool even lower? Or perhaps your saying they should balance classes better so you see less of them? Not entirely sure what you’re asking for here.
(edited by Brutal Augus.5917)
I’m getting tired of these guys running around almost unopposed just because they all run early in the morning. We need to hit them ha_rd (why does it keep replacing that word with kitten?) on their own map. Doesn’t matter if you’re GoM or AR so long as they have a +0. Hell, we should hit them hard enough that they get knocked one tier down.
Bring it on. I’m an insomniac buddy.
This is why I went to the bronze league lol
I do find it odd that Josh comes in here and wants to start from scratch, when just a few months ago Chris rolled out the Collaborative Development Initiatives and even defined a formal process for how they would work. Not that ANet has followed that process, of course, at least not for WvW, but the process was already there. The initial discussions identified population imbalance as being the runaway #1 concern by the WvW community, and after over 1,150 comments on 23 forum pages we got nothing … not even a summary of ideas that Anet thought might be worth investigating. It was just a huge black hole in spite of the fact that a lot of pretty good ideas got flushed down it.
Then we got the Commander CDI and a whole bunch more player inputs (the great majority of them positive and respectful as best I could tell) and all we got out that was a comment that maybe different colored tags might one day be considered.
So yeah, why create a new process and ignore the last 3+ months of “collaboration”?? Is even ANet admitting that they were a waste of time for everyone involved? It’s pretty hard not to be cynical and conclude that all of this is just a ruse to try to partially defuse the rancor on these forums without actually doing anything.
I’m so very tired of this crap …
Based on their actions, I could see this as being true, have to admit its a little disheartening to think all the posts were for nothing though.
It’s raining trebs
I hope they’re serious. At this point I really just hope they do set out to make the so many necessary changes they need to implement. With Elder Scrolls Online coming out, I really just don’t want to see the population dip like I’m predicting it will.
I’d definitely support this
How about a 20-slot account bound bag slot can only hold account bound items. When you log in every character, this bag shows what it has in your bag.
This would work too
I can’t advocate this enough, it is so frustrating to swap characters, go node farming and stop only to realize you’ve forgotten to outfit the character you switched to with the appropriate gem store gathering tools. Perhaps they might add a box to the interface like the one under achievements for weapon skins? Making it so that we can recreate as many as we need at any given moment across all characters. I mean, who does it hurt? The items are “Account bound” anyway, its not like we can pirate the items off or anything.
Hunting for a link, but I think this has already been brought up. I can’t remember if it was just brought up, or really considered though.
Honestly, I’d like to see the downed state removed completely, and every trait in the trait line pertaining to the downed state replaced.
Well, The game hasn’t even launched across all continents yet(unless that’s changed). I think it’s safe to guarantee the addition of new servers eventually.
No I never play for PPT. But its nice to know everyone is making a difference. Fights suck btw, transfer to NSP, Belle, we get matched with them every week!
Wait, you don’t play for PPT, but fights suck?
Anyway, the best is to play a hybrid of both PPT and fights. You can get good fights by hitting structures and luring your enemy server out to play. Or you can force fights by bashing down gates/walls and force them to defend, or on the other side, defending a structure is a hell of a fight as well.
It depends on the servers you play against. Down here in the lowers, there’s less people to go around, so each server tends to develop a stronger “personality” (for lack of a better word) than in the upper tiers where you have enough players to fulfill all types of play.
For example, the current matchup: GoM/AR/FC. Anvil Rock doesn’t really care much for PPT, but loves to paper things up. Shortly after primetime each night, they will happily give up their own borderland to run around and knock out enemy garrisons because they find it fun.
FC’s particular flavor is their small groups. While their zerg is running around, small groups of Ferglings will set up shop in high-traffic areas and just pick fights regardless of score. One group, in particular, loves to cap north camp, drop a box o’ fun, and treb the enemy citadel until people come out to play. And if you fight them long enough, everyone eventually turns into moose (meese?) and starts running around.
Down here, you tend to get to know your enemies a bit better because… well, there’s less of them. Aside from the grand-scale fights that happen during a 2-3 hour window in primetime each night, WvW pretty much shuts down and the borderlands become giant playgrounds. That bizarre randomness that happens during the off-peak hours, not the scoreboard, is what makes some servers much more fun to play against than others.
I have to admit, this^^ is actually very accurate.
Please don’t. For the love of kittens don’t do that. One of the best people I roam with plays mesmer and even though doing this would probably make us nearly impossible to take down in small group combat, this would just make them completely overpowered, and to be honest I couldn’t morally feel good about advocating this.
We look forward to it
OP Tell that to the theif that killed me (warrior in full Knights gear) in 3-4 hits.
Why are people complaining about these miniscule nerfs? Try other games like AoC or D3 where they nerf your damage by half…
Lmao, well, my post seems to have already been posted.
