Farm the labyrinth for trick or treat bags. I got about 150 in 20 minutes, call it about 400 in one hour. Current sell price is about 7.5 silver, times 400 is 30 gold per hour.
I used ranger axe but you can use other multi-target attacks such as thief shortbow and guardian lootstick.
I only intend to play the labyrinth until the cheevos are done.
Auric Lodestone collection item not dropping?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I got my auric lodestone! It came from a random orichalcum node.
It would be nice to trade luck for something even if it was minimal, like a stack of exotic luck for +2% gold find or something like that.

I’m in the same boat as the OP. Glad to know that you can get the lodestone from Mithril. Back to the mines!
Infusing is pretty expensive. For my 150 I infused only one ring, a bloodstone ring that I can easily change the stats. Both rings are then attuned which gives me 5 slots on rings, two on accessories, one on backpack (Non-infused) and 6 on armor, for 14. These agony slots are all populated with +10s. I make sure that all combinations of weapons have at least 10 AR as well.
You could go cheaper still and not infuse either ring, and put two +10s on your weapons.
Ecto supply and price seem to be stabilizing. I don’t think there is a problem.
Non Raiders blocked from XP bar spirit shards

It’s worth the hassle of doing one raid encounter to continue getting spirit shards.
On gw2efficiency I see that a realistic conversion from SSs to gold comes from promoting bronze ingots to iron ingots. This is easy to do and it nets about 1.69 gold per SS. I don’t see if that includes TP fees but if it does you could consider promoting to deldrimor ingots.
That’s a lot of gold you could be missing out on.
Make /surrender work everywhere.
Sometimes you get stuck somewhere and you can’t jump off an edge.
This happened in the new jumping puzzle and also in one of the story instances (Bitter Harvest, I got into the bottom of the jungle and couldn’t get out.
I think I figured it out. Gw2efficiency is counting stuff it didn’t count before, such as permanent tools, bag slots, bank upgrades, shared inventory slots, and so on.
Hello,
I noticed a large spike today in the value I show on gw2efficiency.com. It was 17K worth and I guarantee you that I have not done anything on my account worth that kind of gold in that short a period of time.
Are they counting something new, or have they installed a new version that counts things differently?

Today is patch day and I only have 13/15 out of this achievement. Will it remain available or am I out of luck?
I would like tomes to be useable in WvW. I have a couple of stacks. One WvW level per tome. This would help out people for Gift of Mastery and also gives tomes a little value (WvW level up chest)
Here’s an easy one.
Have the vendors in the personal instance sell sickles, axes, and picks.
Allow salvaging or forging of superior runes and sigils.
Is it possible to craft a second Mawdrey? I have another vine.
Hello,
I recently got a Warmaster’s backpack for completing a collection but I cannot select many of the stat combinations.
Please either make the collection backpack stats selectable to all stat combinations (Viper’s, Sinister, etc) or else allow us to change the backpack stats via the Mystic Forge like we can with armor.
TIA
The best way remains to buy gems and convert them to gold. $10 buys 800 gems, which at the moment will buy about 210 gold.
The new Bloodstone Fen masteries are relatively easy. That’s how I finally got to 170.
Dulfy says that to get this achievement:
“Once the escort finishes and you get the event reward pop up, type /yes in chat while Alari is talking and you will get the achievement.”
I’ve tried several times and didn’t get it.
Do you need to type anything besides /yes, like "/yes @Alari so-and-so "
Do you need to click on Alari before doing the /yes?
How much time do you have to do the emote?
Except that now you can auto-salvage! This will save AB looters a lot of time!
Added new right-click options on salvage kits to quickly salvage all items of the following qualities:
Rare quality
Masterwork and lower quality
Fine and lower quality
Does this work with copper and silver fed salvage o matic? If so, WOOOOOOTTT!
Chef is still pretty cheap and can be useful to make endgame food.
I would say it’s marginally useful. It is certainly not worth maxing via the ecto salvage method. With maxed luck I get more exotics than white items.
If you do Tarir runs with any regularity you will soon be swimming in luck essence. Max your luck that way if you want.
I agree that the crystallized caches at the end of a successful meta need to be buffed, perhaps on the order of what comes out of a AB grand chest.
I am in CRFT, I will inform the guild if they don’t know already.
Why not use tomes?
For the last few levels you can try a CoF farm. Bring your EXP boosters, they stack up.
Karma is fine. You can convert it to gold easily enough.
I just wish the karma armors were salvageable.
I think there’s a pretty strong correlation between gem to gold prices and the 2G daily.
If Anet doesn’t like the inflation, they can tweak it and let the invisible hand work.
You can gather potatoes and make brown dyes to salvage into brown pigment.
You can make meaty plant food.
You can mine iron and nuggets will drop from that. Forge the nuggets for doubloons.
Or you can buy nuggets on buy order and forge them directly.
May I have your stuff?
Does Hearts and Minds still reset all the way to the beginning if failed?
BTW, there are two kinds of mystic conduits available on the trading post. One of them is account bound, (can’t be resold), I bought one of these for less than 70 gold, way less than it cost for the permanent account access slot to put it in. The other one can be resold but that one is closer to 250-300 gold.
My endgame is having fun, which I have doing since I got the game, why else play?
I would rather have level 500 jewelcrafting for that.
I usually make ley line tools with my quartz.
What Ophidia said. In addition, you should make your two types of plant food (meaty and piquant), daily charged quartz, and elder wood spirit residue.
Play both. You have five characters slots.
There are “Veteran Novices” in the cliffside fracttal.
It would be easiest just to allow forging of superior runes and sigils. It would increase supply of the good runes.
I think those are overkill, a $600 laptop will work fine. I just got an Acer Aspire laptop for $529 and it plays fine.
I think you should focus on what keyboard layout suits you. My Acer has a terrible keyboard layout but I knew that going in, most of the time I have an external keyboard and mose on it anyway.
There are 139 total mastery points available in the expansion. You need 117 (112 if you don’t raid) to max out the masteries. That leaves 22 (27) free. There are 30 mastery points in the adventures. Therefore, I will have to do adventures to max out masteries.
It sucks as I am no good at adventures. It took a full day to get three completions of the Wintersday JP and I imagine I will have to devote a full day to get each adventure (doable ones, anyway) to gold. I’m going to have to do adventures despite this.
Suggestion to the OP: Put the work in and get them done.
Thanks for the heads-up!
After failing a few times, I upgraded my trinkets to ascended zerker and I was able to pass the trial.
Every day, in the morning I log into my alt account and mine all five characters which are parked at Gallowfields.
Then I log into my regular account and gather with 7 characters: Jaka Itzel flax, Gallowfields iron, Loreclaw potatoes, and Helliot mine iron. With one of the characters I swing by my personal instance and collect there, and also make a charged quartz.
Finally I open my cook and huntsman character and make brown dye out of the potatoes and salvage that for brown pigment. I also make linseed oil and iron ingots. I then sell sprockets and iron and sometimes the linseed oil.
All that takes about an hour.
Then I either get ready for work (M-F) or start my play day (Sat or Sun, if not doing anything else)
At night I do my gathering with my other three characters, make my four t7 mats, and do PvP daily at Bear’s room or whatever daily room is open. I have to buy silk every other day and I make sure I have enough t5 leather, wood, mithril, and quartz. Also, I go by the guild hall and buy resonating slivers for commendations, and also gather my free stuff. For the past couple of weeks I have been burning my accumulated fractal relics by buying encryptions and encryption keys (30 per day). My night time routine takes about half an hour, depending on the PvP.
I do this routine every day. I get to actually play the game on Monday and Wednesday nights for a couple of hours, and on weekends.
Never having played thief much, I am greatly enjoying playing the daredevil through the HoT story and doing map completion.
Right now, I am about to do the HoT story in Auric Basin where I have to do the Tarir trials where you have to beat the five veterans without healing.
I use easymode for thief which is dagger/pistol // shortbow. Right now my traits and skills are set for speed and stealth. Should easymode be sufficient for the trials, or should I try to use a different build? Armor is mostly a mixture of castoffs from other characters, with ascended assassin’s chest. Trinkets are yellow and green.
I am just a few masteries and a small amount of experience from getting ley line gliding. That would make DS the choice? Are there a lot of places in DS to use ley line gliding? I only have noticed the ones in the dragon fight area.
The best place to get gold is to buy a gem card and convert gems to gold.
If you have a ton of fractal relics and encryptions, you can buy 30 fractal encryption keys per day and open them. You can then sell the junk for more than what you paid for the keys, and (optional) use your artificer to upgrade the tons of +1 infusions you get, you can get a +10 in just a few days.
One way to convert karma to gold is to buy crab grabbin gloves from Bram Dawnrazer, forge the result, and salvage that for cloth. It might actually be better to buy leather gloves, leather is pretty expensive right now.
If you have ley line sparks, charged quartz, and bloodstone dust, your weaponsmith can make ley line tools which are profitable.
You can gather flax nodes at the Jaka Itzel flax farm each day. Also, there are rich iron nodes near Gallowfields and Helliot Mine waypoints. The potato farm at Loreclaw is very close to a waypoint as well.
