Now that I’ve finally finished unlocking all the elite specs, it’s time to take the next step in filling the specialization collections, which is to finish one of the HoT maps completely for each class.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which map would be the easiest. I’ve played all four maps and there are frustrating things about each of them.

I throw runes and sigils into the forge. Sometimes I get something nice. The change I want would be to be able to throw superior runes and sigils into the forge, to get a random superior back.

This would stabilize the value of the most valuable runes and sigils (Bloodlust, Scholar, etc) and would give some value to the minor and major runes and sigils.

I hate adventures, too, but I’m going to man up and do as many as required. You should do the same.

May I have your stuff?

I’m experimenting with a television set. So far my experience has been favorable. I turned on the options to cap at 60Hz and to enlarge the UI. Text looks pretty good, even using a VGA connection (HDMI cables in the mail), since I use max settings on anti-aliasing.

You can get a decent TV for your budget.

I have the opposite problem. I have 1K shards and I want to monetize them. Guides seem to be outdated.

What’s a good way to turn spirit shards into gold? Craft Mjolnir?

You’re right, I was just whining. Less QQ more pew pew. Usually there is daily WvW purchaser or mystic forge daily. It helpfully won’t be too big a deal.

This doubles the time it takes to do my dailies. There’s no reason for this!

I ran into a weird bug the other day. I reported it in game but I thought I would make a report here, too, because the developers constantly monitor this forum for new bugs.

I was in Tarir in the part of the meta event where you have to bid for exalted armor. There is a transformation there where skill 1 is bid and your other skills are disabled. Anyway, the last auction ended and I did not bid. I left the auction area and all my skills were disabled!

I participated in the meta event hoping to get rewards but I didn’t get any. I did not want to log out and log back in because the map was full. But, once I logged out and back in, my skills came back.

Please fix this bug.

Don’t get hero points through WvW until you have gotten through the easy HoT hero points.

I think Tyrael angel wings as seen in Diablo 2 would be cool.

I hope that the mallet will be in the chests in the flax farm, I have opened 10 so far, no joy. There is another chest on the way up the tree which is harder to get to.

The hate was boiling for a little while but it’s just Tangled Depths and fortunately I just unlocked the mastery to buy the chak acid, so it’s all about the love now.

This is an item needed for the Uzolan’s Mechanical Orchestra collection.

I was wondering how many chests, on average, I will need to open to get this item. Also, I wonder how often the chest(s) in the Great Tree in Tangled Depths regenerate. I would prefer not to have to park more than one alt there, but if it’s only a 1% chance I may have to.

I’m not sure how I will be able to get the 30K cheevos for the hellfire armor once I hit cap this summer. I’d be in favor of Illconceived’s idea of raising the cap by 1K per year.

I’d like to second thief, you can use a norn with Become the Snow Leopard for extra invisopower.

Unfortunately, the trade-in for the salvage-o-matics won’t work as the price on those things varied over time.

I’ll be buying one, I only have two salvage-o-matics for 10 alts. A nice QoL improvement.

You probably have been getting a lot of T1 snowflakes. You can double-click snowflakes to make the next tier snowflakes. Do that all the way up to T5. Then make giver’s greatswords and sell them.

You can purchase crab grabbin’ gloves from Bram Dawnrazer, forge them, then salvage for linen and either use the linen or sell it.

You can purchase sun beads for karma and make beaded weapons. There is a collection for this IIRC, you would make one of each then make all greatswords. This is super clicky, however.

Fastest, but not efficient, you can buy the jewel boxes from karma vendors (I would go to the one in Fort Trinity) and open and sell loot, consume karma, rinse and repeat.

You can also promote kitten T2 materials, this requires a favorable price spread in the trading post.

If “rewards from the things” means laurels, you should get the heavy crafting bag, not clovers, unless you want to make a legendary weapon.

I spent the entire day yesterday to get my three completions.

I would rather have a root canal.

Some of the S1 events would be too difficult to do (breach, Lion’s Arch, etc), but the marionette could easily be done as a recurring world boss. It would not be tough to change the drop table and put in some achievements to make people want to do the event.

With all due respect, if you need to ask how much scribing costs, you should not do it. It costs a very very large amount of gold.

Recently I made level 350 scribe. It looks like I have to make Ornate Scribe’s Backpacks for the next stage.

Does anyone recall roughly how many backpacks are required?

Also, will backpacks take me all the way to 400, or is there another recipe at 375?

Are there any level 350 discoveries that can be made to lessen the pain?

Jaka Itzel flax, Gallowfields rich iron, Loreclaw potatoes, Helliot mine rich iron. Fast and easy. I do these on 9 alts every day, it only takes about 8 minutes per alt, a lot of which is loading time. Also, sometimes I will gather platinum where Golem spawns in the Whitland Flats, if there are two rich platinum there. Sometimes it’s just one and I skip it.

I wonder if putting the game on a fast NVME SSD will speed up load times. Currently my operating system is on a serial ATA SSD but the game is on a standard magnetic disk.

Rather than make it a tax, make it something the guild gets automatically as a result of you being a member and doing things in game. If you are a member in 5 guilds then it’s split 5 ways.

You mean as in like a guild boon that transfers a small % of money you get from drops straight into the guild bank? Also sounds a good idea.

Iztel flax farm, Gallowfields iron, Loreclaw potatoes, Helliot Mine iron.

The best way, already stated, is to get a side job and buy gems with the income from it.

I make tons of gold by farming flax, iron, and potatoes.

Every day I take my 9 alts and do the Jaka Iztel flax farm, Gallowfields iron, Loreclaw Expanse potatoes, and Helliot Mine iron. All of these are right by waypoints.

I will have to look at that other flax farm.

If I have extra time, say on weekends, I also add in the platinum node over by where the golem world event spawns, (sometimes there are 2 rich plat there), and also I add the grape farm at the southeast corner of Fields of Ruin.

Each alt takes about 8-10 minutes. For the whole run, at today’s prices, counting sprockets, I get about 26 gold, a lot of which comes from the iron (300+ iron ore) So for about 1.2 to 1.5 hours, that works out to 17 to 21 gold per hour.

Flax, iron ore at Gallowfields, potatoes at Loreclaw, iron ore at Helliot Mine. All close to waypoints, easy peasy.

Please post a complete set of the boosters that we should use.

Birthday booster (100% exp)
Killstreak booster (10?)
Strawberry ghost or other food (15)
Experience booster (50)
Potion of Flame Legion Slaying (+15)

BLSK on exotics, mystic on rares, salvage-o-matic on everything else, forge the runes.

The only exception would be level 80 rare greatswords and the more expensive exotics.

I repaired my client and turned off streaming client. That worked for me. Your mileage may vary.

I think a better way might be to sell them, buy ecto, and salvage the ecto.

The price of ecto is a bit down since the expansion.

I wonder if the mastery for stealth detection will work in PvP and WvW.

Would a portal work in conjunction with “Teleport to Friend”? I’d pay 20 gold for a port.

I wish they had one-man instanced dungeons. But they don’t. Dungeons are going away.

All of them. You have five slots to start, try different classes.

Buy orders and sell orders don’t expire. That’s why you see buy orders at below vendor value. You used to be able to put buy orders in at any price, you can’t do that now IIRC.

Silk prices have been trending up in the past couple of weeks.

Engineer + Rifle + Jump Shot for the win. Just takes a little patience.

Engineers used to be able to toggle the med kit and get swiftness from the Centaur runes. Now, only the F1 skill gives swiftness.

Mesmers used to be able to get swiftness by channeling the heal skill mantra and also by using the charges. Now, the channeling does not give swiftness.

Was this the intended effect?

My personal play style is to have all my characters be fast. I am cheap, so centaur runes were a great way to accomplish this. Now I guess I will need something else like traveler runes for these two characters.

I will certainly deck all my characters in all pink and I hope others do too, as my wife beat breast cancer last year and my mom is currently battling it.

Confirmed with centaur runes in PvP, PvE, and WvW.

Not sure what COGS means either, apart from it being what you paid for items on the TP in the last 90 days, thats how long it tracks purchases and sales.

In accounting, COGS stands for Cost of Goods Sold.

I’d like to see charges be purchasable and stackable on a single item. I would buy 50 sickle charges at a time but I could buy 500 charges and have them on a single sickle, instead of buying 10 stacks of 50 charges.

My characters want to become Dwayna worshippers. I was wondering if anyone had a good idea for what skins to use in order for the characters to reflect their new devotion to the god.

Wasn’t there a thread going that someone would help out with this kind of request?

Price for dyes and skins isn’t much of an issue. I already have celestial dye and the Dwayna back piece.

It would be cool to kill a god. Unfortunately, Trahearne would take credit.

Neither. Go Vigil and stay at the “Forewarned is Forearmed” mission to kill rats for the weapon master achievements.

You can search your bank or inventory for Gift of Exploration by putting “Gift” in the search tab.

The search helps me a lot.
