Engineers with rifles are good for jumping puzzles.
They are all fun. Try them all.
5 Deldrimor ingots. That’s quite expensive.
If you are rich, maybe you could make one for Teq or Bigwurm.
If you have a lot of excess karma you can always buy a bunch of orrian jewelry boxes. You’ll get some shards from those.
If you are tired of human characters, a sylvari engineer would be good for jumping puzzles. (rifle has a great skill for jumping).
If I had only one character, I would be all over the infinite gathering tools and the salvage-o-matic. They are convenience items only, over a long period of time you might get your money back. But you save time never having to buy tools or basic salvage kits.
These do go on special once in a while.
That link says chest armors salvage to 1-5 scraps instead of 3-5.
If you get an average of 4 scraps for salvaging chest armor, then the De Molish chest armor comes out ahead (462 karma per scrap versus 532), but if you get an average of 3 scraps per salvage, then the Crab Grabbin’ gloves come out ahead. (616 karma per scrap versus 532)

I am not in need of gold and rather save my karma so i havent really put some numbers into this but it might be worth checking out, if its more profitable to buy light chest armor instead of gloves because chests salvage into 3-5 cloth while gloves only salvage into 1-3 cloth.
The karma price difference might also warrant that going for wool instead of linen might be more profitable.
This guy might be the one to look at. He sells level 49 light chest armor for 462 karma.

Wanze, are you sure about the 3-5 and 1-3 salvage numbers?
I just wish I could view my own history of purchases and sales.
I go to Kennelmaster Warsnout in the Iron Marches, buy light armor shoes for 315 karma and forge them. Then I salvage the result (you should use crude kits for this, but I don’t bother) and get linen.
Is there a cheaper vendor?
Yes, this thread is about Dayra’s first quote, it was buried in a thread. I think it’s a terrific idea. Dayra’s second quote, not so terrific.
Hello,
I saw the essence of this post in another thread but now I can’t find the thread to make a comment.
The Swiss format of tournaments is fine. It’s commonly used in chess tournaments. But I don’t think a Swiss system of tournaments is suitable for a section of six teams. Rather, I think that a Swiss tournament of nine rounds can be run with all 24/27 teams.
Before the tournament, scaled discounts for server transfers would be offered. Free to T7 and below, 1800 gems to T3 and above, maybe 600-1200 to T4-6. I’m guessing that some guilds have grown tired of the T1 queues and blobbing and want to transfer.
Pairings would be done similar to what is done now. Teams with higher scores would be matched together, with seeding as the tiebreaker.
Rather than a fixed reward per person for first through 24/27th place, I think it would be best to instead give a fixed reward per server. Then, the server reward is divided by the number of participants who completed the meta achievement.
So first place might be 2,000,000 mistforged weapon tickets. If first place is a T1 server with 10,000 participants, that would be 200 tickets per person.
Last place might be 500,000 tickets. If there are 1000 participants who earned the meta achievement, that would be 500 tickets per person.
The minimum number of points would be 200 and the maximum would be 500, like it is now.
The only special reward for first place would be the title of “Season Champion”.
It’s been said, and I agree, that the price of unidentified dyes should stabilize once the glut of new dye is exhausted. I bought two stacks at 25 silver.
Hopefully the dye market doesn’t take too long to correct.
If the TP is indeed arranged as a priority queue instead of LIFO or FIFO, then you can construe the OP’s request to mean that he/she wants a lower “graininess” to the priority queue.
Currently, the “graininess” is set to one copper. The OP would want it set to 1%. Any items within one percent of the top offer would be equal in the eyes of the queue and would be processed in the order received.
This would be doable by the devs, but it would not be trivial to implement and the benefit would be negligible in my eyes.
I’m guessing this will happen. 24 slots seems reasonable, but most likely they will have 22 slots.
Predicted ingredients
1 Superior Rune of Holding
1 Vision Crystal
10 Ascended Material (elonian squares, spiritwood, deldrimor steel, or damask)
I’ve noticed this even when guesting on Blackgate. Frostgorge there is never empty. This only started just recently.
Hello,
The “Leave the Mists” button is a big convenience for me. If I’m gathering from a resource node and I run out of axes or picks I can just drop into the Mists, pick up gathering tools, and then leave the Mists without having to log out and back in.
It would be equally nice to have the same button available when I am in the Heart of the Mists. Sometimes I like to drop into the Mists to do some mystic forging and many times there is no waypoint in the WvW garrison.
Thanks!
You’ve got to put in the time and search for investment opportunities. Wanze, Vol, and all the other people in this forum who have made a lot of gold have spent many, many hours doing research and crunching numbers.
Thank you for pointing out the price increase in grapes. That makes grapes worth farming and selling. I collected 120 or so grapes and sold them for some quick gold.

Look for nodes close to waypoints. Check all the servers. (NA or Europe)
Then guest to the server that is the best fit, and chop away.
Sorry, too useful.
I’d like to see server transfer costs changed, based on wvw rank, not on population. The average cost could remain 1800 for revenue stability but it should cost more for higher ranked servers:
Tier 1: 5000
Tier 2: 4000
Tier 3: 2000
Tier 4: 1200
Tier 5: 800
Tier 6: 600
Tier 7: 500
Tier 8: 300
Get your daily laurel done every day.
Don’t buy the Icy Runestones until the very end.
Get your clovers done first before T6 Mats.
Get your world completion done as part of doing your dailies. Krytan Killer, Maguuma Veteran, Shiverpeaks Events, that sort of thing.
Check which crafting professions you need for your weapon (Weaponsmithing 400? I don’t remember) and accumulate materials for crafting (iron, cotton, whatever) in zones that you are doing for map completion. Don’t just craft to 400 in one burst.
Join WvW and run with a zerg. This will get you karma, badges, and fun.
The goal is to do stuff that fits more than one purpose at the same time so that you don’t have to do a grind at the very end, and you have fun along the way.
How to Dance, Part 2:
The 6-7-8-9 keys would have the dances for the other four species, and you would have an invite to dance option like in Part 1.
This should be very simple to address.
1) Winner moves up a tier
2) Loser moves down a tier
3) Random colors each week.
Best class: All of them
Why: Fun and variety
How about a door going from citadel to garrison?
The northern golem node is not persistent. It changes after every server reset. So it may disappear from TC but show up on Yaks, for example.
I confirmed this as true. I haven’t checked the western node.
Here a secret tip if you want 40s per character.
As most people know, there is a rich platinum ore in the water west of golem. This node is present on all servers.
The bonus to this is that on some servers, there is a 2nd rich platinum ore just 30s away north of golem.
That’s 20 platinum ore within 30 seconds of each for an easy 40s.
The server I’m farming it on is Tarnished Coast.
Happy mining.
Thanks for the info. Is this a persistent node, or is it just in the most recent patch?
I find it convenient to have artificer as the second active crafting profession on all of my characters. That way it’s easy to combine essences of luck.
An alternative would be to have huntsman and armorsmith on one character, in order to do the time-gated crafting of the ascended materials all on one character.
I guess they found a way to get all that silk off the market
100 bolts of silk per day need to make damask compared to 50 mithril ingots, think leather squares, or elder wood planks.
With the recent change to silk scraps, that’s 300 silk scraps per day compared to 100 mithril ore or elder wood logs.
Was that really necessary?
Don’t buy Icy Runestones!
They are the last thing you should buy.
Crafters and War/Merc are still around and active.
The matchups in Season 1 were mostly close and very fun, except for the weeks we had to face Henge of Denravi.
For the past 2-3 weeks we’ve been taking over everything during the night NA time and playing even or slightly behind the rest of the time. This makes for good fights during NA prime time.
I do not regret for one minute my decision to not quit AR. Even the reason for the exodus has improved somewhat.
Gaming is all about fun. It’s fun being on AR!
Finally a fun matchup!
wut sever did the guilds that left AR go to ?
Dragonbrand
I had so much respect for that guild before this decision. Shame.
They had valid reasons, but its not my place to get into details.
What happened is that they fell for the sultry voice of the Dragonbrand recruiter.
Endless Flirt: Stack on me!
ALS guys: YES MA’AM!!!!
It turns out I was using the wrong dust. So I guess there is just a UI problem, no big deal.
I’ve got tons of T3 and T4 leather lying around and enough money and dust. I figured I might as well forge the leather to T5 for leveling leatherworking.
I tried doing this and it let me put in 250 refined leather, 1 refined leather+1, dust, and philosopher stones, but “forge” was grayed out. This should work as it works with normal leather. There was no “you can’t do this” message, or any indication I had too few leather, stones, or dust.
Is this a known issue? I sent a bug report to Anet.
Paraphrasing the old Outlaws song:
Borlis and Anvil forever
Castles of stone and supply camps
Voices on Teamspeak adore you

devs arent intended to be bad at communication. in fact, communication should be one of their strongest skills.
They have PEOPLE SKILLS!!!!!
:)
NSP was in the AR citadel just now (Thursday about 11:00 pm CST). I didn’t think that was possible. How’d they do that?
Dungeon specific runes and sigils obtained in those dungeons are always soulbound, but if obtained from the forge they are not. Just some silly programing.
Incorrect. I have gotten two superior runes of the monk from the forge, and they are soulbound. I wish I could sell them as I imagine they would be quite valuable. That’s probably why they didn’t make them sellable, but I wish they were account bound.
