DX9 is from 2002…
Anet already confirmed that the matches will continue to last 1 week.
As I’ve said in page 1:
GG easy
It’s random. Welcome to WvW, the forgotten part of GW2.
Well, tbh we crushed. Both JS and VS are, when they don’t run away or when the fight doesn’t take place under half a dozen of arrowcarts, much easier kills than Elona, BB, Piken or other real servers. The general opinion in our server is that it’s more profitable to farm VS than to farm in Orr. Those kitten 1v1 build make us feel like we’re fighting paper.

Because you realized you won’t win this matchup ?
Define “win”.
SFR won this matchup a long time ago since we are clearly better at fighting than VS or JS. We don’t care about the “we have more players let’s just drown the other servers #YOLO” that Anet seems to encourage.
Good idea so it’s not going to happen…
If Hugh or someone from Anet happens to stumble on this thread, we’re sorry if were “too vague” in our humble request; WvW-suggestions subforum means that there should be a subforum in the Suggestions forum and that that subforum should be dedicated to World versus World, with the purpose of better organization and giving World versus World suggestions more visibility
EDIT: again I don’t want to be “too vague” so here’s the definition of World versus World: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_versus_World

For anyone interested, we used 2 custom arenas on Foefire and had 9v9 matches (plus 1 commentator and 1 streamer). No points, no 1v1, 3v1, 5v2, nor any of that sPvP crap, just two teams clashing and surviving for a crazy amount of time while trying to kill the enemy
It was the first time we did it so of course there were errors in the organization, but as someone who was a part of it (in the PUG team :P) I recommend it to any WvW community who is willing to try, it was a very positive experience to learn how to fight better
2. They are competent at their jobs and they know their product and code base better than anyone on this forum;
They considered something like “There is a bug in tower X, if you leap through the gate you can get inside without opening the gate” too vague. Now they have the nerve to say " I also logged the bug and we will be investigating that as a high priority issue. " meaning that they are only investigating it now, half a year after the community pointed it out as a “high priority issue.”
So no, they are not being competent, they don’t know their product very well, they may know the code very well but it seems they can’t do much with it
I don’t know what Southsun is.
Don’t fix that, it’s irrelevant, instead work on the golem mastery and less damage taken by quaggans
/sarcasm
Geez I can’t wait till Camelot Unchained arrives
It’s not primetime in America, and everyone knows that everyone in Europe moved to America
No one should be able to solo a supply camp.
May the kittenstorm begin.
Triple bump for the win!

Slowing down time seems interesting, but how would it work for everyone else who was not involved in the main battle? For example, if there was a big clusterkitten in SM and I was scouting Mendon then my time would be slowed down? That seems odd :P
King Arthur had Strength in Numbers traited and thought it stacked
Ridafyt Whitestrike (I speak on behalf of myself in this post, not my guild or my server)
But you still get my big +1.

Look on the brightside, at least we have awesome expensive abilities like the ballista spreadshot, the arrowcart toxic shot or the burning oil increased damage, they work wonders against large groups of Risen!
It showed us the PvE side of things. What WXP abilities are awesome if a keep is being attacked by mobs. The scrub side basically…
Warning, care not found.
I don’t even know what a Thundershrimp is.
1- Make a Thief
2- ???
3- PROFIT
That sounds fun.
Zerging takes no skill and is mind numbingly boring.
Either your zergs sucks or the opposition sucks.
“and as everyone knows there pretty much an unspoken rule that you don’t attack other”
Please get out of the WvW section.
Trick question, if any of those players belongs to Vizunah Square he/she will run to the nearest tower and use an arrowcart.
Great fights so far on SFR BL. Both Elona and Piken had groups inside our Garrison but after a very long fight we managed to keep it, big props to SPRT and FG (very impressive as always), to CoN who cancelled their GvG to come help, to OSC and to all the pugs who helped! Shame about the skill lag tho :P
You could leave a stacked server
What if he was there since launch?
Joke of the week: 30 Vizunahs walk into a bar, they proceed to build arrowcarts inside. Another group of 30 Vizunahs storms in and yells “Mon dieu we’ve just escaped a very dangerous group of 10 Seafarers! Can we stay here for the night?”
You know nothing Jon Snow…
Thanks for bringing this up, Chiolas. Borderland jumping blobs are (imo) one of the main causes for zergy gameplay and karmatrain meta. People stop caring and upgrading their borderlands because the superior server will just merge all people available to build an unbeatable deathball and roll the maps step by step (hello vizunah and elona).
As soon as one borderland is recolored the deathball will move on, leaving a deserted borderland behind, nobody will stay behind to defend or upgrade, i mean its easier to stay with the blob and jump back one hour later and do the same again.
It just sucks out all the fun for servers who can`t compete numberwise and completely destroys any chance to at least defend one borderland properly. The fact alone that it gives huge advantages to the superior server should be reason enough to rethink this mechanic. Another zerg-favoring implementation that works against people splitting onto their borderlands somewhat equally.
Best regards.
Exactly my intention. It’s not THE “zerg-favoring implementation” (there isn’t just one of them anyway, nor one magical solution) but it certainly is one of them and should be reviewed. Thanks for the support!
So I want to know the community’s opinion on this
Map hopping with no restrictions allows huge groups to instantly move across maps, trampling outmanned foes in other battlegrounds with ease. Imo this promotes zerging and population imbalance (the dominion of the server with the most players)
Should there be a cooldown to map hopping? And how would that cooldown not affect single players who just entered the wrong map and want to change? If that cooldown was something like half an hour it would be nearly insignificant, however if it was more than that it would become oppressive, so should we also use an increasing return? (opposite if diminishing return)
Do you agree with map hopping?
Thumbs up if you came here thinking CD meant cooldown

Hmmm I think there’s 1 AC per VS player (don’t worry JS your ratio is not bad either) O.o
(edited by Chiolas.1326)
lets be honest… there is skill in the strategy of the zerg but the individual becomes a mindless drone pounding keys like a monkey would.
It depends on the person, many use their skills to actually make the zerg survive, to kill the enemy first, to zone him, to debuff him or to crush his morale. If all you do in a zerg is mash buttons in a random order I’m sorry to inform you that you are an average player
It’s true that some people don’t think while they zerg and just mash buttons, but the majority actually cares and uses their skills and dodges at an appropriate time… well, at least on my server, but then again usually our pug zergs roflstomp the enemy pug zergs so bad example :P
- AoE Looting
Players can now loot all creatures and loot chests dropped by creatures in a small radius with a single interact.
- Supply caravan ambushes now provide 10 WXP when killed.
- The Outmanned buff is now hidden from enemies.
Yay for Anet finally realizing that WvW needs these “small” tweaks and not useless cyclical buffs and nerfs to classes
SFR has the same problem, we just don’t have as much ppl to swarm every battlefield like most servers, thus we are losing in the final score. Yesterday we spent the whole afternoon being double-teamed on EB, eventually we lost every tower, but the other battlefields were so empty that we came out on top in the overall ppt
Elona Reach and Jade Sea are actually not as bad as VS. I mean they still lose to us but that’s normal
If you got one badge you presence probably didn’t matter. Weird thing is that i play like braindead monkey and still get lot’s of bags. I usually look where enemies are and then push 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
You start off fights by healing?
Maybe he’s a hammer warrior and needs adrenaline to open with earthshaker.
He’s an ele :P
Maybe he’s on air attunment and presses 6 for the speed boost O.o
We on SFR like to live dangerously, healing is for sissies :P
You are probably doing something wrong, I’m also on SFR and I regularly get half a dozen badges in just one clash against an opposing zerg. We usually melt the oposition so there’s a fairly steady income of badges in the many times we farm enemy zergs
Make sure to get an AoE (area of effect) weapon, charge when the commander charges and tag/attack any enemies you can (it’s pretty easy since they mostly blob), depending on your class be in range and drop AoE or double dodge and get in the middle of the group, oh and don’t forget to use support skills to help your allies
Atm my biggest 1st world vs world problem is that the bags get too scattered and I have to move a lot to pick them up (also, autopick, do it Anet)
There’s plenty else to do anyway, there’s scouting, defending, escorting dolyaks or harassing the enemy’s supply routes, our TS usually has ppl in the main group or doing the other things
(edited by Chiolas.1326)
I personally do notcare about that crap
Would that make people happy?
5 months ago it would
I don’t think Anet cares.
Anet needs to do something about balancing WvW, and this wouldn’t do much. Like what GreenNeko said, something similar already exists and is irrelevant, most players don’t play WvW for the XP
And stop ignoring WvW pls
