Unlikely that many guilds would choose to do so unless they were able to transfer for free, but then we’d be back where we started in late 2012 :-)

I get the sentiment as far as sever stacking goes, and I do agree that it would be nice to have a chance to face ALL the servers rather than the 3-4 that each server commonly encounters. However I don’t see how it could be done outside of having a system where guilds would sign up and ANET would choose a server for them and put them there for free. Even then, I feel like such a system would have limited success.

I think they thought that matches would be a little closer than what the currently are. Don’t expect this change any time soon.

Don’t forget about the Commander Tag rumor… that is, if you’re tagged up you get put in a “priority” wvw queue… lol

A lot of duelers I know find people on the forums or guest to other server to find people who are up for dueling. They have a ton of people on their friends list who are willing and able duelers from many different servers and just /w them and invite them to a party. that way you can track them down in WVW really easy, and you don’t have to rely on the “known” dueling spots that are frequently interrupted by other players/zergs.

Another option would be to have a private SPVP lobby where you can duel to your heart’s content without fear of interruption. That way, you can either use party chat (unless that was “fixed”) or /w to communicate if you need/want to.

The options you laid out just simply aren’t that great for people who are looking to duel. It essentially flags you for griefers, and you would probably see more interruptions than you do now just for that reason.

I find this funny too, because SoR is very lucky Anet has kept the rally/downed state in place. If they ever decide to remove it, a certain server may find themselves way down the rankings :P I’ve never seen any server’s front line drop like theirs does lol.

It’s all about point capture. If they’d add a death match mode you’d see a lot more people in it.

1. If a guild wants to leave your server, and there are many reasons why they might want to, there is little anyone can do about it.

2. Guilds may or may not talk to some of the “community leaders” on the server they are planning on transferring to. Sometimes a groups of guilds, NOT the whole server, will help them out by giving/loaning them gold to help them get their whole force over and make the transition easier.

3. This has been happening since ANET implemented paid transfers, and is nothing new.

SoR BL has been a blast tonight. Hopefully we give these T1 people the idea that yes we are actually in this match up.

From my (rather limited, admittedly) experience in this matchup, I think the reason why you see a lot of SoR and BG people disappointed is because DB has been running away from a lot of fights, even when you have comparable numbers. Also, I’ve seen more than a few 5-10 man teams going about their business, and SoR/BG don’t really play like that.

Take it for what you want, but that’s what I’ve seen.

If by a small group of disgruntled people you mean all of Bg then yes . We have sent proof numerous times but anet chooses not to address it . We just adapt like always and when fighting certain guilds it is common to hear a commander say " don’t waste any more supply on siege, so and so guild will just zoom hack the rest of it " . You can deny or make excuses for your server mates, but it doesn’t make it any less real for us

It’s not a problem ONLY for BG. It’s a problem for every server. That’s the reality of it.

I have also observed a few times of SoR being capable of fielding forces of 60+ people in 3 maps during oceanic and past primetime SEA. Why this doesn’t happen every night? Perhaps someone with an unbiased viewpoint could explain it to me.

Sounds to me like it was just an odd day where we had a particularly high amount of casuals (read: person that doesn’t play every day).

I’m saving it, using it when I want exotic weapons/gear. Might save 500 for a Gift of Battle if I ever feel like a legendary.

With the announced changes to legendary weapons, I’d start saving up your mats.

I do this all the time if I want to get a stack of something with high turnover relatively quickly and save a little gold. I think you’re jumping to conclusions a little too quickly.

If you want to be safe, buy siege and sell it on the TP. If you have the skill points, wood, and mithril, you can upgrade it and sell it for more.

So one tick of Static Field would knock one point off of stability? Assuming that you could only apply one stack at a time, like one guardian could use his shout to put one stack on five people, that would instantly make eles and other classes with ground targeted sustained CC very op.

Maybe not one ele, but think about a group with 20 eles, they’d be instantly able to stop an unlimited amount of people in their tracks.

Borlis Pass has a teamspeak that all guilds are currently in, and during the last reset we hit a high of 337 users in our teamspeak (id like to see any server match that)

SOR TS routinely has 350+ users on at the same time almost every night, and it is one of the most active TS servers in the world.

I can’t really blame anyone wanting to leave JQ. I’ve been fighting against JQ for weeks now in Eternal Battlegrounds and their over all tactic and plan seems to be basically pile on to whomever is losing the SOR/BG tug of war at the moment. That’s basically aiming for second place which has only ever netted them last place as a result.

I wish the remainders of JQ best of luck and hope they can organize the groups left towards winning.

You’re used to ticking 400+ ppt all day, and when you come up against any real opposition, you fold like a house of cards. If you want to play with us, you better adapt. It’s hilarious how many open field AC’s and Balistas I saw this morning. I think we destroyed something like 4 Sup AC’s and 2 Balistas in EB Ogres, and you guys kept rebuilding them. Funny stuff, waste of siege.

T.T sry we arent fun….ofc i havent been in WvW for bout two months bc i cant play….so i have made forums my home for the moment. Ofc generally speaking…..no one server seems generally interesting anymore least to me. And im sure most of DB came with mindset to lose my a big amount to but not to give up im sure and to fight hard as they can against you. Ofc this is the forums tell them wat they need to do to make it “funner” for you, just a little friendly advice

I’ve come to the realization that telling a server what to do isn’t always a good thing. Let them come up with unique strategies on their own. I’m sure they have a lot of smart commanders working on it. It’s much more fun to combat new strategies than push another server into falling into the same meta BG/SOR/JQ have been doing for months.

I wish Anet would actually encourage more guilds to run on their own, instead of blobbing up with the rest of the zone. But the fact that they can’t even add a simple guild commander icon just shows how little they actually care. A small step maybe, but a welcoming one at least.

It’s also pretty obvious that the limit of people being able to be on a map at a given time needs to be decreased again temporarily, until a proper fix is in place.

If that were the case and if I were in a guild that didn’t WVW, I would just wait at spawn. Eventually they’ll port back, or another guild would form up that I could join with. Guild tags aren’t the saving grace that people think they would be.
