Fantastic idea!

I new the new content, but i’ve stopped doing it now because i only have the evenings and i was spending a good 1-2 hours + waiting for a group, then then only to be kicked because someone’s friend wanted to join…

Drkn, Thanks very much for that post, it informed me quite a bit. (I’m not very good at the whole computer stuff.)

We all right clicked each other and clicked ‘join same server’, once we did this we each saw 4 blue dots on the map, but we didn’t visually see each other in game and our character’s were blacked out in the top left. Also once all on the same server (atleast i believe it was?) we didn’t have the option to right click ‘join same server’, as we were on the same server due to already clicking it.

I do hope this makes sense somewhat.

We were in the overflow server’s, we made sure of that. That’s wha i’m saying stof, we were in the same overflow server but everyone was blacked out.

5 of us, all couldn’t get on the same server in LA. We each tried, but we couldn’t see each other. Apparently we were ont he same server as the ‘join la server’ button wasn’t present, but we couldn’t see each other, therefore couldn’t play fract.

Anyone else have this?

My friend and I waiting for a group for a low level dungeon. We were on diff server’s asking for people, no-one wanted any of it. All that were advertised were the higher levels.

We both asked our guilds and friends… Nothing.

The dungeon is beautiful, the leveling/gating system has killed it! – I so wish i could play this more…

Main LA server, 9pm peak UK time, there were less than 10 people outside the portal and only 1 person in chat looking for a group.

Please remove the gated leveling content.

I love the dungeon, but day by day finding it harder to find a group for the lower levels. (And yes i’m in a guild.)

4) Have the level reset every so often, to prevent casual players from not finding a group.

I rarley post in these forums. But putting the whole ‘join a guild argument aside – I’m in an active guild, but not everyone is willing to spend hours/days leveling u to say lvl10’.)

What if a member joins the game in a few months, i doubt very much people will still be doing level 10, or will want to level the new guy to lvl 50, lvl 100 frat (whatever the lvl is then.)

I love the dungeon, but i don’t want to be gated out of it.. I know many agree.

I don’t fully understand.

Some people in game are saying there is a weekly reset, some arn’t. People have said some dev’s say there is a weekly reset and some say there arn’t.

Which is it? (I hope it resets as i don’t want to be ‘gated’ out.)

No need to sign, we all don’t spend hours reading everypost.

Hi guys, please correct me if i’m wrong, however:

The difficulty level switches weekly?
Agony resistance only kicks in after level 10
(I’m currently on level 4 and have just over 100 tokens)

Now i’m not going into the whole ‘casual player’ debate, but i’m a casual player and i guess i may get to level 10 by the end of the week, but most probably i will just repeat the lower level dungeons.

So my question is, does agony really matter for those only doing the first 9 difficulty levels? – (IMO this is good.)

I’ve been doing the new dungeon for the last 3 and a half hours and in each group someone left meaning other people left and we couldn’t complete. I just wish when people sign up for a dungeon run, they know how long it takes…

opal orbs and onom bars have gone up….. Wish i had the money to buy some :/

Yes, so i’ve copied and pasted the below. Looking back i realize i didn’t make a ‘ticket’ but i contacted a Anet mod. (Anet Mod didn’t say the name is not allowed either.)

I’ll appreciate any outcome where this can be resolved. =)

I wasn’t sure which mod to ask.
All my character names are suitable to the game, e.g. ‘peek a booo’ & ‘im a numptie norn’, however my account name is the same as my account names for other websites and games, as i didn’t want to create another account. I thought this would be suitable as it doesn’t show up in game (and it doesn’t, only the character name does).
However, I am reluctant to post in the forums as my account name will appear and not the character name. I would love to post more, but i feel my account name may be perceived in the wrong sense by some. Is there a function for me to approach you and ask for this to be changed, rather than for me to log onto a 3 day suspension. Or am i okay with this account name? :-)

I understand in which position you are currently in. For me, the best would be to change your account name in order to avoid every disagreement that could be created regarding this name. Unfortunately, I can’t change your account name by myself as it is linked to your game account.
So please, send a request to the customer support and explain them why you would like to change your account name. An agent will answer to your request as fast as possible.

My account name was ‘no f in luck’. I sent a ticket several weeks ago asking if i could change this and whether there was an option to do so. (So i took the proactive stand to look into this issue.) I’ve just logged into the name and my account name is now ‘Coin Flunk.3024’.

1) I Guess my name is changed due to the insensitive nature of my old account name? (I’m happy if this is the case, as i asked for it to be changed.)

2) Anet, would this have been one of you who changed it? As i’ve done nothing differently my end.

3) May i pm one of you an account name for it to be changed too? ‘Coin Flunk.3024’ means nothing to me and i’m likely to forget it, could i atleast request an account name; after all this is the core name through all my characters and it’s what all my friends on my friends list know me as.

Basically i’m asking did you change my account name? – I was a little bit disappointed it has been changed and no private message was sent to me telling me why.

Could i request a new name, otherwise i’m going to have to purchase a new copy of the game and set up a new account name that i want. I don’t want to do this as i’ve put so much work into this account.

Well none of the players no the reason. But i for one am glad this will be in WvW. It’s very rare on my server you have a 1v1 match in WvW, so it wouldn’t really make that much of a big deal.

So the initial surge of complaints was about the ‘gear grind’… Now that crowd has settled down it’s the ’stat’s’. I see…

I thought the post by the dev was relevant and answered many questions that the community wondered.

I’ve done a search but couldn’t find the answer.

I posted a comment on here last night and recieved a infraction, Re: New armours.

What is an infraction, is it a slap on the wrist, or a blackmark against are name? Are there ‘x’ number of infractions until a suspension?

Just a quick post really, could the monsters which are being introduced in the new dungeon have there own slayer achievement under the list of monsters in the ‘slayer achievements tab’.

Oh no i still have rare armour. Does this mean me getting exotic armour is a treadmill? For the love of god, YOU people ruining are RUINING this community. The game is for everyone, just log on and have fun; don’t expect everything on a plate…

It’s nice to see everyone has similar leveling experiences. =)

Ressing people, gathering resources, mining nodes, cutting trees. Hearts, dynamic events and the story line, do a bit of each, each day and you will soon level up. My personal advice is don’t rush the game, there’s no rush to 80, just enjoy it. =)

You can do all current content without exotic. So if you don’t want the new Armour, don’t get it. Let us who want it have fun obtaining it. =)

I log on after a day’s work and either jump into WvW or find a dungeon. The thing is that you can often be waiting more than half an hour to find a group for a dungeon, whether it be in LA or outside the dungeon instance.

Putting servers/guilds aside (i’m on a high pop server and a guild), but finding people in MAP CHAT can be so tricky. I love the game to bits, but it would be nice if more people enjoyed dungeons. ;-)

Loved it! It was designed so that you could do them with friends, and i did. =)

What sort of ele build? I’m 30 arance, 30 earth and really struggle.

Once again, my guildies and I were on voice chat all evening, playing the halloween event and pre-event’s, having such a laugh. This is what we want out of a game, to have a laugh, and we got it too! =)

The cinematic was stunning! It made for some great screenshots.

Yes there were some problems, we had to wait half hour due to server issues etc, but this is where THE MOST FUN came in. Rather than logging on the various forums and whining about how ‘x sucks’ and ‘y is pants’, we decided to (whilst on our voice chat program), tell each other of the best whining posts on the forums. I tell ya, some of them really cracked us up… So much so that when mad king was finally fixed, we didn’t log on straight away due to having so much fun reading the ‘omg111!!! pl0x br0k3n’ posts.

Same issue here.

On ruins of s.. server, our group all saw ech other in la, we went int he the event instance and we were on 5 different instances – we couldn’t see each other.

Wow, people are either complaining that the game is bad and the forums are full of ‘fanboy’, or they are complaining about the mechanics of the game knowning full well that it is not an exploit. We all know air ele has a trait that has a speed boost, do you really wanna go there and start crying about it?

Just make the green ooze super fast! Then it might be the only zone in tyria that doesn’t have haters cuz they’ve all given up! =p

My guild and i done this jumping puzzle last night, we spend a good few hours doing it – some made it some didn’t.

We had norns in our party, we have charr’s in our party and we even had those little sneaky asura’s in our party. We were all on voicechat having a good laugh.

Why all the hate and moan, just because you can’t do it on the first attempt?

An achivement is just that, something you achieve to get. Not something that you say is broke because you can’t get it straight away.

So from myself and some guildies, thanks for the fun event – you know it’s fun when you can’t stop laughing! =)

Can i just say please ignore all the whining about this jumping puzzle, if they don’t do it first time they don’t like it.

My guild and i spent about 3 hours last night doing it, some of us done it! I haven’t laughed so much planning a game EVER!!! =))

Oh wow, i’m so glad you will get karma for dungeons – lets hope more people will be keen to do dungeons now. Also new karma DE’s sound cool! =)

Just my 2 cents and imo i love dungeons. I don’t do the same dungeon over and over, i may do 1 ac path and 1 ta path on evening then 1 cm and 1 coe path the next evening. Each dungeon is different and their are great fun if you get a nice chatty group who doesn’t skip the good parts.

So to sum it up imo, i love the dungeons. I’m in no rush to get the armour, if they meant for you to get it during a short period, they would. I will prob get my armour in a good month or so, but in the process i shall enjoy running them. =)

Great reading this post. I’m glad i’m not the only one who finds the forums vastly negative – i’m just hoping as time goes on, it will slowly change to more positive. Also you can’t expect Anet to tell you all the items they intent to give us, surprises are what makes it fun! =)

Can i just say i’ve had so much fun reading this forum. I’m sick to death of the negative comments about this game & wish there were more threads like this to make the community weed out those negatives.

My fav was exploring divinity’s reach, it’s a massive area and i’m looking forward to doing it again. I would also say I love the dungeons, i try and do 1 a day and the community is great when you find a nice chatty group.

You say anet don’t bother communicating with use… I private msg’d a Dev today and got a response back within a few hours + they said any futher questions, feel free to ask. If this isn’t communicating i don’t know what is.
