Sadly this game is controlled by NCSoft and that is why the PvP aspect of the game is so neglected, As long as they own the rights to this game PVE and gem store will dominate how this game progresses.

I don’t understand why there is still any doubt. It’s been explicitly stated on countless occasions that they don’t plan on releasing any tiers above ascended stats. Ascended was a missing link between exotic and legendary. There won’t be more.

I wish i could say it’s just down to people server hopping that is the sole cause of these issues but sadly it isn’t, People are also leaving this game by the bucket load for various reasons many of which are covered on these forums and are never addressed.

I do not follow the zerg in wvw as i feel it presents little challenge and tbh is boring, I roam solo taking sentry points and helping to take camps and regularly bump into an enemy or 2 who are doing exactly the same as me. Engaging an enemy player/players this way is challenging and fun and i am still contributing to the whole objective.
You can’t expect people who paid the same amount of cash for this game as you to play like robotic zombies just because that’s the most efficient.
This content is challeging. To many people want it easy.
NO! People don’t want it too easy we want it to be challenging but not down right ridiculous. The stupid design of the dome making it difficult to see the AOE circles and the buggy camera are infuriating.
I used a ticket this morning and felt confident as i had fought her so many times, Upon entering i was instantly pulled to an Orb and shadow drop was on me before i could even get up. You tell me where the skill is in that.
Anet can stick the Mini Liadri where the sun doesn’t shine, The Living story installment sux, The Laggiest instanced area in all gw2 sux, The wp costs and repair costs are a joke, And Anet wants us to buy a 300gem item from the Gem Store just access a lame area with bank and other NPC’s that are free to access in open world.
Nothing will change, Living story is where they want the game to head as they have stated. Each installment of Living story is exciting for all of half hour but then starts to get old fast, It’s predictable and dull.
I agree with the original poster. Its about time to give them the “finger” and not log in. It has come to that point for me.
I’m in the same boat, I used play every night but now I log-in and just want to log straight back out. The game has become stale and repetitive, WvW matchups are a joke and Anet refuse to do anything about it and I won’t be forced to rush through the living story content to get the achi’s just because I don’t 24/7 PvE.
This game is just shy of 1 year old and it’s already failing which is really sad because I pictured myself playing it for a long time.
Gw2 is just like any other Korean cash shop mmo, Arenanet might not be Korean but it’s a wholly owned subsidiary of NCSoft and they just do what daddy tells them. PvE and Cash Shop (sorry Gem Store) are going to receive the most attention.
Mesmer clones not holding an offhand weapon has also existed since Beta and has been reported and reported and reported. Just face it dude, Some things are just NEVER going to be fixed (Because they don’t know how to)
I’ve lost many friends over the past few months. They’ve just gotten bored of the game and stopped playing. This is all anecdotal but it feels like the overall player base is shrinking (maybe not pve but wvw feels like it is). Consequently, more people are moving to stack the top servers because they are searching for groups to play with and against.
Sadly this is so true and have noticed and experienced it myself, The constant PVE patches (which tbh are garbage) are not enough to keep people playing this game.
Gw2 needs substantial end-game and sadly that is withering away with the constant neglect, It has become stale and boring.
