It is what it is. YB easily outnumbers kaineng and unless we have an organized push from a few guilds we usually do not even have the numbers to push in YB and take mroe then a single tower. Using the same numbers we can push GOM and get a couple towers and a keep.

PPT means the GOM is a much smarter target. I dont like it… lets be honest, but that is how Anet setup the match. If we focus on YB we might slow their point gain yes… but then GOM has the freedom to hit things uncontested while we are throwing everything at YB. This means less PPT for us, and mroe PPT for GOM, while barely scratching YBs PPT.

This means we risk losing 2nd place to GOM. Sorry not a smart bet. Am I happy with 2nd place? Nope… but tis a hell of a lot better then 3rd.

I have the widest smile on my face at work right now at work That post was my main drive in playing as much WvW as I have since then :P So glad that whole thing backfired in Kain’s face…

But in all honesty, thank you for the great matchup Yak’s and Kain! This was prolly the most fun matchup I’ve ever had besides the 3rd week of GoM/ET/FC :P We had many lessons learned from all sides and would relish another chance to fight u guys in the near future! Kudos to the small mans I’ve also fought and dueled!

We could have been if we’re weren’t forced to defend and recover from aforementioned golem rushes by Kaineng every time we had barely anyone to defend. Yesterday we said enough is enough and we’re tired of this “play for 2nd easy target for PPT” bull and as Laniee said, they woke a sleeping giant, and we’re Mad-ness! If we indeed get 2nd by reset… Lets just say this will be one matchup I won’t be forgetting. Evil smile >=)

You guys golem rush us about 3 to 4 times everyday. Most of the time we have the out manned buff. So now u are getting a taste of your own medicine. Put on ur big boy/girl pants and deal with it. GOM will not go down with a fight. You woke a sleeping giant. Enjoy and Have a wonderful day =)

So earlier again today, our whole BL gets taken again, literally with maybe 10 defenders against 2 Kain zergs and got them taken pretty fast, yet we got all of it back by the next point tick and Kain completely gives up their side of EB to (You guessed it) Yak’s Bend. When we got our stuff back, YB still held their side of EB, but the mega zergs seemed to have moved to Yak’s BL, almost taking their whole BL then. Afterwards Kain after getting their stuff back in EB gets it taken again by YB (Our stuff almost got completely taken too) while we constantly put pressure in their BLs and got most of it down a good while. If you’re playing PPT for 2nd Kain, play more defense, it’ll get you so much further. Playing aggression against both servers at once to flip “easy targets” or “making stuff paper” is gonna get u double teamed, or at the very least focused by 1 server. As a result Kain wound up on the poop end of the stick for PPT today. Smarten up.

So Kaineng, you take our whole Borderlands and you let YB take all of your EB side… if that’s not smart playing for PPT, then I have no clue what is… Seems like you have just as much to lose as we do in this

Thank you for the duels again by GoM spawn in Kain BL’s! Good fighting with the Yak’s Bend LoS Theif and HATE ele! Sorry for all the interruptions with some GoM comin out to roam Wish we coulda got more duels in but Kaineng’s BL Zerg came to crash the party =\ Oh well, good fun had and more to be had!

Typical PuG warriors just tend to turn on the afterburners and run away thanks to this new Warrior meta now… I can’t count how many times I’ve had warriors run away from fights after things looked bad since then. I guess I’ll have to make a chase build on my thief to counter them.

To the 3 Yak mesmers and theif that we just fought at GoM ruins, that was one HELL of a fight! I’m still so pumped from that small battle that just never wanted to end! xD You managed to get quite a lot of us PuGs down and we got couple of u a few times, but for me and Paragues (the ASH warrior) we had a BLAST as we were unable to down each other, even when it was just the two of us left :P I SO hope we have more fights like this later this week! <3

No kidding, and its not even just the Zerg balls! Last night when saw a lone alpha golem attacking Briar (Kaineng’s golem) and one escort defending it and I ran maybe 3 ppl there to try to stop it, WHY would a random Yak’s Bend thief attempt to attack ME and my crew of ALL things? I mean c’mon, if that wasn’t bull itself, what is?

Well, now I know what it feels like to be AR or ET when in the wee hours of the morning with so few ppl to work with we get massively golem rushed in the Borderlands. Ah well… I didn’t wanna go down without a fight at least, but had to leave at the bleakest hour. (That and it’s 8 AM…) This’ll be a fun week indeed haha

Yeah… He’s one tough cookie to take down. Best chance I had was with my hybrid Mesmer, but even then… >.< THCC has a good multitude of high quality players too, especially enjoyed the few duels with their human Mesmer

It was also pretty hilarious to see that Warr and another ET warrior (Forget the guild tag) that had a similar looking build fight each other. I was wondering from what point they were hacking at each other would their HP break from full >_>

After guild missions I came back to fight night and there was a fair amount of SF there had some really good duels against mulitple classes. Was around 9-10 server time so late for east coast people.

Yeap, and quite a few great fights I had afterwards on my Mesmer! I think I redeemed myself quite well! Idn about anyone else but I mainly fought condition engis and mesmers and guardians, but all were good fights! Lookin very much forward to the next chance I get to duel BS again

Mmm, looks like barely anyone came for fight night tonight. Good fights with the few ET that did show! I wanted to redeem myself for my terrabad performances (I usually suck at fight nights for some odd reason) but a couple of our bloodthirsty ppl chased what little ppl we had there away =/

I agree with the sentiment above — the 3-way battle in SM last night was great. I saw special effects (e.g. gates sparkling) I’ve never seen in the game before. The servers were having a tough time.

Personally, I thought GoM, SF, and ET all fought very well, with lots of creative tactics.

Great fun roaming tonight! Special props for the SF [ICED] thief I fought at north camp and later dueled, and the ET [TFI] Warr/Theif and [King] Thief. Thanks for giving me good training for my Theif and Mesmer for roaming

Great fights we had in GoM Borderlands tonight with both ET and SF groups! Was a nice come back to WvW in regularity for me, but man… SF you guys are persistent buggers! After we were able to at least contain you, then push you guys while walls were down, we failed a few times at first, but we learned quickly :P Our 3rd time trying was truely an epic fight for GreenLake, great fun! (Still, ya didn’t have to ruin it by launching another BO immediately afterwards) If not for Seigekitty we coulda held, which we did at first… Also had a great last second hold of Dawn’s from DR’s group, didn’t think I’d make it back to see a 2nd trip inside with initially only 2 defenders, lol.

Also, what did you guys do to our Tower Lord at Lake SF? All that time u held Lake from us you convinced her of something…

1.) No more Karma Trains.
2.) No more legendary farming.
->(Seeing that most got them RIGHT before the switch.)
3.) No more “spies” to blame after being wiped.
4.) No more “treb trolls”.
5.) No more 5 attempted failed Golem Rushes.
6.) No more watching 60+ people following a single commander mindlessly to be wiped.
7.) No more commanders being asked to “tag down” with 40+ pms.
8 – 10 ) Just no more.
Remove “No more” from points 1-10 consider it the downfall of JQ.

Treb trolls will continue. And SF and ET will kitten on us this week until our pugs get their kitten together. Most of them are gonna whine that there’s no more Karma trains.

Also the treb trolls are Muni’s in-game phallic replacement.

And now that Zombie Land is gone, we can discuss the serious work ahead. Like electing me Constitutional Monarch of EB. I have some SF votes and the support of GoM. ET doesn’t count because they don’t even play the game. So we’ll let them vote for me and me alone in absentia. So, I guess I win.

Lmao Lae, but yes, I can see w/o Zombieland that it’ll take a bit to reconstruct a lot of things that’s been going wrong or right especially on the EB side. As for the whole “Karma Train” thing, it’ll be a huge personal relief to hopefully see that over with and get us to use real strategy to take and hold and area as long as possible. I believe Lae can do it

As for me, my thief is finally 80 and geared so you’ll be seeing more of me in the GoM borderlands mainly (Solo roaming on other BLs if bored) Lookin forward to tangoing with you guys SF and ET

(Typing this while almost asleep) Had a blast roaming AR borderlands overnight! Nothing personal to the AR we 3 of us FGJ semi-farmed at Astral while assaulting Cliffside, but it was in good fun! Had a few interesting fights by the camp and a couple of haphazard golem assaults (which were very promptly stopped (good job on that by the way) Special props to those AR that stuck around and made repeated attempts to see us out of the map

To the WAR Norn power engi: Ur flamethrower hits like a kitten truck! I was forced to kite most of the time I encountered u >.<

To the WAR Charr guardian: Great determination in trying to get stargrove back!

To the CORE (I think that was the tag) Norn ranger, same as above, way to show grit and determination for the one man defense for a while!

AR needs more people like you guys! Keep up the good fight

We have lost more than just 1 guild, We are loosing Zero Today, from what I have heard about 30 minutes ago. what’s the attraction to play on a constant loosing server? Guilds who want to play actively would rather play offensively moreso than on constant defense. So it’s been tough for us here at AR. I will ride this old bull till it can’t ride no more

We at GoM have felt your pain long coming in terms of rebuilding after suffering mass population losses. We made do with what we had banding our veterans and our small guild groups and made us a pretty good force to be reckoned with with them, and when we eventually got some muscle with a few incoming transfers we’ve become what we are today I’m hoping AR shares the same success soon, as I’ve already had some pretty good fights with your teams already

The talk of spies stems from a few things over the past few weeks:
1) Someone hacked/trashed/demolished a TS server
2) Someone walked 25 golems off 3rd floor SM
3) Someone notified a certain server of a golem rush minutes before it began.

Not pointing any fingers or saying what we’re aware of as far as culprits go :p

Had some sweet duels earlier by the windmill with FC and AR, even tho I only won like… once, but all of them were great duels Seems the weeks away dungeon/fractal grinding isn’t doing much for my skills haha xD Special props to the AR thief for our near hour long duel with my condition specced Mesmer :P Tomorrow should hopefully be my last day of farming I hope (tryin to earn my wings!), so I’ll be in WvW more often from then on (Kinda wonder who asked about me in Badgerlock’s screenie xD)

Hoooowey, what an active night in GOM borderlands tonight! AR you are one persistent bunch! Had me commanding about 6+ hours straight! First getting home from work we were in the process of losing bay, and did (Me and Noonespecial did our best to hold out for our incoming Zerg >.<) Afterwards we gained enough momentum to push you guys out of the map but not for very long as we got the BL threatened again by the huge WAR group, but thankfully we were able to make a lord stand at Hills and Bay, great fights! (I question why I kept seeing orange swords by our NW skill point tho xD) Too tired to remember most of the details after but there’s one thing I remember clear; to the THF (Or TFH, I forget the order, I’ll edit when i get the right tag, it’s late >.>) guild in AR, you guys are some of the most persistant and well coordinated groups I’ve ever had to fight. I’ve seen quite a few tactics I’ve rarely seen or never had to deal with before, which I’m thankful we were still able to keep you guys contained for the most part. I must say it will be exciting fighting your group I was the (probably annoying) Asura ele commander in TA armor that kept divebombing your seige and being a general pest :P Too bad I didn’t really see much action from FC tho, sides the occasion roamers >.<

So… Any fight clubs tonight? Been having some nice duels/fights while roaming and would love to test out my ele and mesmer’s gear and build changes

I just recently rolled a hybrid power/condition Mesmer with decent toughness and vit and nice survivability off of stealths using a sword/pistol and scepter/torch with a 0/20/30/0/20 build for making the most of my condition burst anyways. My utilities are Ether Renewal, Veil, Decoy, Blink, Mass Invis for WvW roaming, but I noticed my build had NO condition removal whatsoever, so I’m considering replacing Veil with a condition removal utility. There’s either Illusionary Disenchanter, Null Field, or Mantra of Resolve. Which is the best condition removal of the 3?

I got to fight night extremely late when there were pretty much only FCs left >.< Thank you much for the duels tho! Definitely got a kick out of trying out my new hybrid Mesmer setup! Shame I couldn’t catch ya Mr Mobos, but maybe by the time we fight each other again my condition build will be revived =3

I read the title of the post and almost thought ppl were talking about the underwater earth 5 to water 5 to water 3, which can give eles stealth underwater for maybe 8ish seconds if used right :P

Great time roaming in FC’s Borderlands with some of the guildies and with our surprise guest Taquito Had great fights against FC’s BS guild and DR’s WoS and lone Rega. Mainly testing new armor set but I’m squishier than I want to be… Gotta farm more fractals to complete my set sooner

I think he was referring to the NoQQ/Bsty/AD group we kept running into in our borderlands, even tho it was largely DDLG that was attacking our Garrison at the time. I was there for support and morale boost… MAN that was a great fight!

And kitten Honeybuns, I was surprised when you jumped down the cliff live after that AC in the first place but seeing what happened from your side got me some manly tears, nice job :P
