No you dont actually…. there are literally thousands and thousands of machine configurations they have to account for, making sure each section of code works for all makes and models. You havent mentioned the epic storyline for personal story quests… there is the living story as well to participate in. Other then that you have world boss trains, high level fractals, dungeons, pvp, exploration of the world, guild missions, hopefully soon there will be the normal run of holiday events, as well as an expansion releasing in less then a month. There is a whole hero panel of achievements you can work on… what else do you want to do?

also we have a active RP community here as well… if none of the above tickles your fancy.

So I have a question that I havent seen anyone ask yet. What is the exact limit/timeframe on DR. To be more specific, is it a certain amount of time that triggers it, is it a certain amount of loot drops? When does DR kick in specifically. Is there a visial indicator as to when it is in effect?

I like this idea… I run roughly 50/50 on male vs female toons across several accounts. I try to follow the #three rule here… heavy medium light… male 3 times then female 3 times i might be off 1 or 2 toons depending on my mood some days, but I like both character sexes. Ive not developed stories yet for any of them save 1, my main, which is a large and in charge, black, male, norn.

But yes there is a severe lack of good looking male armor pieces. Most clip funny or are outlandishly disproportionate to the character.

I have 75 of each brick and a stock of 1500 in my mats storage… its not hard depending on what you do to amass 1-2k of the bloodstone/dragonite dust… I think an increase to how much it eats is in order, even if they have to reduce drop rates to even it out. I throw away 1-2k of that stuff a day cuz i just cant store it anymore. I also have a few mule toons with a few 18 slot bags storing some… its ridiculous. I’m for this!

this would also present the challenge of leveling problems. there would be no ditinction as to whether you were going into a higher area and thus would likely run into higher level mobs and get killed alot. Which brings me to the next issue of trolling, as npc’s can follow you for some distance if you are under level, other higher level players would troll newbs by dragging higher mobs into lower areas. Granted this could be prevented if current boundaries were just turned into big portals i guess.

while similar, there is nothing here Anet would be able to sue or make a claim for. too many differences between the concept/actual and this image. its close, but you can tell thats not braham.

so much gamble in this game… black lion chests… dyes… mystic forge… brakktun globs… I think anet has stock in vegas… they keep pushing us to gamble to get us addicted i think…

1st. it is nothing like the high end luxury car market, as those are made yearly, also add in that it is a degradable item, cars are, and that there are enuff wealthy people in teh world to keep that market alive. There is simply no demand for it here, and even if I relented and said there was, there are not enuff people that can get them to satisfy them all. 5 skins left in teh world… 5 out of thousands get them…

2nd. Thats nice that your friend bought one, now theres only 4 left… after sitting 2 years on the market… people must be buying them left and right!!! /endsarcasm

3rd. and what you are NOT getting is that not everyone was around for the first event that dropped these… and even some people maybe were away on holiday and not ingame during these events. Yes I mentioned gemstore and token system and all that, but it doesnt have to be tied to those things… re introduce them the same way they were earned the last time then, or make it harder, hell I dont care as long as its obtainable.

Ahhhh so it boils down to a waaaaahhhh I wasn’t there argument for you… you weren’t there for release but you feel entitled to them… gotcha. Here’s an idea. Look at ANY high end collectible market. Sports cards, shoes, toys, comics… I DARE you to try and make your argument work for any of them… you can’t. So why should “I wasn’t arpund then it’s not fair” work here?

Its not like the luxury markets, as they can re introduce these at their leisure, in their original form. Unfortunately I too have given up on staying at most events… It would seem Anet wants our gameplay to go this direction. There is a line in the sand here on fun gameplay vs rewards… When you play through the game for the first couple of times to 80, all the events are new and fun to figure out. But as you get to 80 a few times, people tend to go the easiest route possible, cuz after all, the end game content here is skinz. So it stands to reason that you can deliberately take the longer grindy way to get your rewards, or you can save your sanity a lil and once again… take the path of least resistance. I myself and interested in the latter. I dont want to waste uneccessary time getting what I want from this game. After all… i paid $60-$160 for this game, I am entitled to play it the best way that is fun for me.

on the other hand, if you prefer to dictate how I play…. please feel free to send me $160, and I will be more then happy to buy another account and play it how you want. And when I am on that account, I promise you i will!

I am Lucky enuff to have 40-50 ping where I am at, I hardly ever notice lag, and its typically on a boss train run or huge wvwvw fight when it does… but even then it lasts for aboutthe first 3-5 seconds of the encounter then goes away.

they could just make them non interact-able… make them like every other npc that you cant interact with…. cant be that hard.

hi everybody…. Im corrynn…. And I am an addict… PHEW boy, was that hard to say in front of everyone… Now that you know, I have been an addict for many years. At first it was just trying it out, you know, to see if i liked it and stuff. All my friends were doing it, so, I had to too. Then slowly, and ever so slightly, I began craving more… the cravings werent bad at first, but after a while… I just had to have more and more!

It has taken over my life! I went from buying just a character slot every other month or so, to now where I have multiple accounts!!! I wish I could STOP!! yesterday was my 36th toon… I haven’t even gotten the ones I had before all the way to 80. I have about 18 leveled up to 8, but the rest… they just sit there… starring at me… begging me to use them with those sad eyes. Always those eyes… Its like they pierce right through me! Didn’t play the event… already own 99% of whats in the gem store already… I know I’m the 1% here, but there was no incentive for me to waste time there.

My theory is a lot of people bought gems in anticipation of good things being on sale, which is why the gold to gem ratio is so high… I bet there are a TON of people just sittin on gems waitin for bank/bag/char slots to go on sale, plus a few of the obvious skins that were deliberately held back from the sale. really they have no choice but to sit on them now, cuz its gonna be a while till they put those items on sale. Cuz who would be dumb enuff to reconvert the gems back to gold at a 50% loss….?

indeed, magic find is a kittenin joke… spent a year increasing it to 200% (casual player here)…. still loot the same ol kitten ery day. Dont see a kitten bit o difference in loot drops. WTF is magic find for? cant be used on bags, cant be used on chests, cant be used in events… where the hell CAN you use it other then kittenty mob drops?

feels like loot is a kitten punishment in this game. Im not saying it should be handed free all the time, but but a .0001% increase is ridiculous…

800 gems buys roughly 150 gold…
gemstore items costing 800 gems now cost a couple gold and a few hours of work.

can you earn 150+ gold in a couple hours? nope…

that’s why they are mad…. it has cheapened the item considerably… if the prices were say 50 gold plus blooms, then yea, I could start to go along with it… but as for now, its considerably cheaper and I can understand the anger a bit.

Seeing as the people working for the site refuses to actually tell people what happened, I would say we most likely don’t have the full story. Even when outright asked if they where forced to take it down they simply spun it around and refused to answer.

that gives you your answer right there… if they cannot be open and say what happened, then it is likely Anet forced them to remove it.

on second thought it could be the employee was fired for posting something he was directed not to….

it is likely Anet threatened lawsuit if they didn’t remove for slander, but either option is possible and viable. Who Knows…. either way it makes them look bad….

Actually I don’t care about some of the bugs. Things happen.

What does concern me is the minuscule number of event rewards and the scaling issue. I could really care less about the initial bugs. However, looking at the speed at which mobs die and the amount of rewards at the end of the event, I hope that it’s a bug, because that right there, is downright stupid.

Initial bugs I can tolerate. Illogical math and expectations, no, that’s just silly.

I am quite happy with my 12,500 AP’s right now… Im a day 1 player, but took about a years break at the beginning. That being said, I would love the opportunity to go even higher in AP’s but I am not demanding it be done with past achievs gone and past. Im fine with new achievs being added. I would love both sets of armor that are tied to it, but I feel time gated cuz I missed out on a lot of dailys back in the day. Im not asking for those ap’s to be given or brought back, but I would like to be able to advance in a quicker fashion to the next levels at a faster pace then 280 per month, as I have just about capped out all other AP possible for me in the PVE realm at least. You can screw off on the WVW 1,000,000 kills/supply spent and kitten like that. I aint doin that, it would take years…

I know there is a sale going on here, and yes there are a few items that are popular on the sale, but if you look at the popularity of said item, you will notice a direct correlation with the sale pricing of them. namely that anything of popularity and value is only slightly marked down. there are one or 2 exceptions in my book, although I own them already, the 80% off mini sale was nice, along with the wings and gathering tools being 50% off. everything else is either deeply discounted and unpopular, or not discounted at all.

TLDR this is a very cherry picked sale with the focus of deep discounts on junk and slight discounts on anything of popularity..

TBPH… this whole sale has been lack luster. popular items got 10% off, items hardly anyone wants went for 90% off… They haven’t put the items most desired back up for sale anyways… feels like a cash grab to me., just sayin… Ive bought 2 items this entire sale… bag slot and new outfit. Wont buy more gems unless they start bringin back some heavy hitters.
