I feel ripped off that when I finally saved 100g for a tag it went to 300g, but that’s the breaks. Get over it.

The 100G tag was for one character, while the 300G is account wide. Your example doesn’t make sense.

this is incorrect. I paid 100g when I first got mine, and never bought more for additional toons. Now I can use it on any player. They grandfathered the people who originally bought it. So it does make sense, just not to EVERY single person, and only to those who bought it after.

Ikr, the fact that they are the majority is true, It’s just sad and I won’t mind seeing them go personally. They are a blight on nearly every game i have ever played, thinking they should just be handed every little thing. That’s not how life works.

this isnt a game called “Life”….. its a game for entertainement, not to be built around “REAL LIFE”. Not that im advocating for things to be easier here, just pointing out that if i wanted to play a game based on “Real Life”, I would go play the MMO called secondlife…. not GW2.

Not gonna bag on verticle areas, just wanted to point out that if you look at the actual land mass of the verticle and combine it with the lower total land masses below it, it comes out to be 1 full zone of area you can actually walk on. So basically what they did was divide a single map up in to smaller areas and shifted them up or down to give the appearance of 3 maps in one… very sneaky Anet.

Im torn on this… On one hand it was advertised as a life long contract, expecting the content to be continuing and on going yearly. On the other hand yes it is a purchase and some use was gotten out of it. Still tho, I see it as false advertisement and a refund should be given to those who want it. I am going to keep mine for the day they release the content again, But I have no qualms with those who want a refund.

It also depends on whether they recycle old items already in game coughcough"staff"coughcough… that staff has been in game for years, infact it was December 2013 it was datamined. all they did was particle effect it a bit and threw it in the legendary generator program they got to determine components needed to make it. the pistol looks like a smaller reskin of Predator with bolt/meteorlogicus lightning effect added to it. While the axe is unique in its base form, it is using the blue section of space from twilight with incenerators sleeve wrap. The vast majority of these feel copied and pasted IMHO. Im not knocking the artists or anything, but this seems less original and more hastily put together. I would rather they take their time and make new skins for them , than do them every 1-3 months with reskins of old weapons with new effects etc…

They are making hero point, which have been PvE only up until now, available in WvW. The very fact they are doing that already not makes this a “kitten you” to WvW players. Thats like getting an xbox 360 and being mad because it isn’t an xbox one.

Wtf is this argument? …….

It’s pretty much like saying “Work is supposed to be for men so why are women complaining about being paid less. They should be happy to get anything…”.
That’s the exact same kittened up logic that starts with a wrong statement ( here “any kind of reward is meant to be primarily PvE…”).

No, its more like: man has to move super heavy object that woman cant move but woman wants to get paid for it the same as a man. Content was designed and relaesed for a primarily PVE role with a side map thrown in for WvW. Play the PVE part if you want it quicker. Thats all that needs to be said about it…..

CorrynnStarr.7942

swg crafting in a nutshell to make a “piece” of armor (9 pieces per set of armor).

composite armor gloves:
Requires 10 units of Wooly Hide
Requires 10 units of Beyrllius Copper
Requires 10 units of Aluminum
Requires 15 units of Nabooian Fiberplast
Requires 25 units of Intrusive Ore
Requires 25 units of Known Solid Petrochem Fuel
- Requires 1 Reinforced Fiber Panel
Requires 5 units of Metal (Total:5)
Requires 5 units of Inert Petrochemical (Total:5)
Requires 15 units of Fiberplast (Total:15)
Requires 5 units of Fiberplast (Total:5)
Requires 1 Biological component (Optional)
- Requires 2 identical Synthetic Cloth
Requires 4 units of Inert Petrochemical (Total:8)
Requires 16 units of Fiberplast (Total:32)
Requires 1 Biological component (Optional)
- Requires 1 Composite Armor Segment
Requires 3 units of Steel (Total:3)
Requires 5 units of Steel (Total:5)
Requires 10 units of Metal (Total:10)
Requires 1 Base Armor Segment Enhancement (Optional)
Requires 1 Armor Layer (Optional)
Requires 5 units of Low-Grade Ore
Requires 8 units of Known Inert Gas
Requires 20 units of Metal
Requires 8 units of Polymer
Requires 1 Armor Layer (Optional)
Requires 5 units of Low-Grade Ore
Requires 8 units of Known Inert Gas
Requires 20 units of Metal
Requires 8 units of Polymer
Requires 1 Armor Layer (Optional)
Requires 5 units of Low-Grade Ore
Requires 8 units of Known Inert Gas
Requires 20 units of Metal
Requires 8 units of Polymer

each of those units has 9 sets of numbers ranging from 1-1000 (1 being worst 1000 being best)
Cold Resistance
Conductivity
Decay Resistance
Entangle Resistance
Flavor
Heat Resistance
Malleability
Overal Quality
Potential Energy
Shock Resistance
Unit Toughness

to make decent armor a specific 4 stats of those listed above has to be 900+ and those numbers are randomly generated weekly/monthly by the server. It spawns, stays a week, then disappears FOREVER…
so it could literally be YEARS before you get a specific spawn of a resource to make good armor with.

you have to sample all the materials either by hand or buy and/or make a harvester requiring its own set of materials listed above… to place to pull those resources for you.

once you have all that, then you get to craft the item, which based on some class modifiers and clothing buffs etc could turn it to kitten or make you a nice item. now… you have 8 more pieces to go! good luck!

Please speed up crafting

And again why is it so hard for people to whisper and ask what shoulder or chest or helm or weapon someone is wearing?

This is mainly about being able to SEE them, hence why I left the skin names as secondary.

When I want to see someone’s skins, I just stand behind them, and then bring the camera up close. /shrug

Or we could have a dedicated window for that. Would having a dedicated window you can ignore if you don’t like it ruin your gaming experience?

As others have already stated, you can preview ALL the game’s skins in the account wardrobe, even the ones you haven’t unlocked yet. If I remember correctly it’s in the PvP section of the game. The game already has a solution for what you want to accomplish, you just need to use it.

Here’s a flammable shield to cover yourself with if you need it.

This is about previewing the current skins being worn by someone, not preview every single skin available in the game.

I don’t get why you guys act like an easier way to see someone’s look would break your game.

I think the biggest reason against it, is, it is gonna turn out to be a gateway to a full on inspect of stats. People really dont want that, and anything similar or making that easier to come about, is gonna be met with resistance. Think of it like the democrat party does… if they cant get a big change pushed thru to law, they start really small, making slight changes, until after 4 years, you now have the original bill pushed thru, just in a round about way, and with no one realizing it happened!

My funny story is from EotM. I was trying to catch up to my party (no zerg in sight) from badlands keep. i made it to just across the bridge to the mainland by the outer wall when a group of about 8 enemies broke through it. i was still running towards the bridge to the keep when I got assailed by 5 ofthe enemy players (was thinkin to myself "oh kitten… im dead… but I dont want to run back from the keep again!). I was in a panick! The party i was in had 3 other members and they were at the far end of the bridge by the inner keep walls when i shouted in party chat for a lil help. As i made my way to the front of the bridge, I was popping every block, stabil, cleanse I could just trying to stay alive till I reached my party for back up. I dunno how, but I managed to get one of them downed during the beginning of the fight(i suck at pvp so… needless to say I was a bit shocked).

I kept spamming party chat for a lil help please, then another one dropped. I was again shocked! So I shouted for help one more time, then said Fug it, and charged em (was playing a guardian.) About that time only ONE of my other party members had seen the chat and began running towards me. when he reached the middle of the bridge, he just stopped and started laughing his kitten off. I had just started my charge and dropped one of them. The remaining 2 turned tail, ran opposite ways and jumped off the bridge at the same time, to their deaths. Im the first to admit i suck at any type of pvp, but I was proud that day… took on 5 solo and killed them all lol!

My teammates joked called me kitten for the rest of the week and joked about leroy jenkins all evening hehehe. To this day I still dont know how I survived and why those other 2 just jumped off the edge(cuz I constantly get wiped in pvp/wvw).

They are human, and have lives just like us. I know sometimes I give them a hard time and make them feel like they are crap. But I do respect them, and the work they do for us. I think seeing the human side of them is a great thing for us as a community.

Maybe it would be a good thing to have a monthly employee spotlight, where we can get to know each of the team members and see what its like to be in their shoes? Im not talking about the corporate editing of a put together article here. I think those are fake no matter how well put together they are. Im talking about things like this article. The employee wrote himself… THAT… is what I would like to see more of.

It doesnt have to include very personal things like Colins. It could just be about daily routines and things they think about and do at work… maybe their dreams and hopes for themselves and the company… the important part is, the employee needs to write it, not a reporter doing an article.

just a thought.

Ive been running win 10 now for several weeks, had no issues at all with it after I configured it right. the Pro version has more options to disable data gathering then a Home version, which is why I have always bought the pro versions in the past and continue to advocate it now. home is cheaper, but less controlable. Learn how to modify it and it will perform just like 7 even. knowledge is key, do your homework.

No whiteknighting nonsense!

  • The gold from completing a dungeon is getting nerfed not removed.
  • The TP will take on a new equilibrium for the majority of its items, high priced stuff like charged lodestones and giant eyes are surely to fall with map rewards while others are going up due to demand with HoT recipes.
  • The demand for t5 materials is getting improved to get closer towards silk’s price with new HoT recipes.

Why shouldn’t silk price be reduced to the price of other mats? Why is the high price of silk desirable for all mats?

because it means more gold going out of the system thru taxation. as said before, this is fun for anet… not for us…

Noone got banned. They simply added a cap to repeatable achievements and people lost the AP which went beyond the cap.

There was most definitely bans handed out, 3000 according to Anet… here’s the link , enjoy the read.

as a side note this also generates fake rarity and jims up inflation…

just a flesh wound, there is more to it then just the influx of gold… when items are sold low, people often by them to flip high. the said item then generates alot more to the market. For instance, a bot could keep an eye out on low offers on exotic items, then buy them itself and relist them higher, thus generating a higher rate of tax and income drained from the economy. A person then might have an item worth a fair amount, but all that gold just spent suddenly poofs cuz it was a bot that received it, not an actual player. it never gets returned back into the economy, thus generating a far higher sink to the economy then just the taxes payed on it.

CorrynnStarr.7942

ok first off… im sensing rehashed ideas in the “had to get creative” aspect of this legendary revamp… so far everything but the small nuances of the weapons themselves is all old content being recycled to look new… staff is 3 years old for chr ists sake, the axe is just a reskin of twilights blue reflection area and the pistol is just a rehash of bolts particles on a slightly tweaked aether pistol. nothing is from scratch… i.e whiteboard session.

secondly why does it matter whether manipulators are in game wanze? I’ll tell you why… said manipulator just gets more ability to manipulate and drive up prices… they now have more money to seize whole sections of an economy and determine prices

last… you all laughed me out of the community years ago when I speculated and showed bits and pieces of how Anet was manipulating the market to jim up or down prices….. this whole blog is proof of that focus…. And I will wager there is more manipulation by them to the market other then they have already divulged as well… I can picture a bot they use to snag up all items in a category below certain prices just to maintain what they feel is the proper “balance” to an economy….

If ANet had a bot buying up low priced items using gold from ANet’s infinite supply of gold, wouldn’t that be injecting more gold into the economy and causing inflation that way?

I see it this way…anet has a set price they would like certain rare items to be… if said item is listed below set price, an auto generated bot buys it up to maintain its current price. Sure the person gets the gold(which is what I think you are referring to as injecting gold into the economy), but the item never sees the light of day again, keeping it rare.

Since the item is rare to begin with, its not likely to have more items like it drop soon (as per RNG sucking in this game). which would allow sufficeint time for said items gold effect, to be mitigated through tp taxes etc, of that person buying other things in the economy. Im sure there are more viable ways I havent thought of yet that also can fit into this, but thats the start.

If they are going to go to all that much trouble why not tweak the drop rates to keep them rare and of a sufficient price rather than increasing the amount of gold in the economy by buying items using their limitless stock of out of game gold?

nerfed drop rates are trackable… random generated bots are not… imagine the uproar of nerfing an already kittenty rng system eh…

Have you ever heard of anyone tracking the drop rates of any items? How would they be tracked? The trading post is very granular and doesn’t show second by second activity or truly show sales to buy orders and they can quickly appear and disappear. When people were discussing the sales of Legendairies and the economist said how many sold in a 24 hour period, it was much more than what the people thought it was, and this was something that people were watching.

I understand nothing is exact, and I never claimed it was… as far as tracking drop rates, I dont think anyone needs a number to tell you that from last year to this year… a HELL of alot less exotics drop….I used to be able to pull one a day or every other day for the longest time… now you are lucky to get one in a week to a months time. Do I have numbers.. nope… did the nerf happen anyway… yup. maybe there were alot more sales… maybe not.. .ever consider that the lack of anyone not seeing the sales is partly the reason… bots bought them up before we saw them… and thats why you see the same priced item for weeks on end there, but somehow we mysteriously “miss” seeing the sales…..

ok first off… im sensing rehashed ideas in the “had to get creative” aspect of this legendary revamp… so far everything but the small nuances of the weapons themselves is all old content being recycled to look new… staff is 3 years old for chr ists sake, the axe is just a reskin of twilights blue reflection area and the pistol is just a rehash of bolts particles on a slightly tweaked aether pistol. nothing is from scratch… i.e whiteboard session.

secondly why does it matter whether manipulators are in game wanze?

Salvaged mats economy to be DESTROYED
