I seem to be getting DR within the instanced event after an hour or so? I thought DR didn’t affect this area?

Crashing more after update, seems every 15 mintues in the new event It gives me some crash error when I press ok it closes game.

When are people going to realize DPS isn’t everything in WvW, I destroy with my mesmer in WvW. Do I have the highest DPS, not at all but I still run into 20+ man zergs with 5 people and destroy because DPS means nothing if you can’t survive.

Are the kite fortunes going to still drop from heavy bags after the event? I love these boosters!

It would make it alot less frequent if it cost a real $20 not in game currency “worth”. And low tier servers cost the same as transferring to high tier aslong as its “high” population.

When you knock on someones door IRL wishing you had a flame ram to speed it up.

When you say I have to resupply when talking about groceries.

When you go to the mall and say to yourself look at that zerg in the apple store, push in!

the bigger the zerg, the more likely it is you don’t get to tag something before it dies and the more likely it is that the opposing zerg kills you before you get any wxp at all.

this is just one of many silly preconceptions players have about the differences between tiers.

Yup, I agree with this. I have been on high/mid/low tiers and I have noticed not much of a difference. The high tier you might get more kills, but it seems the wxp for such kills are 10x less then those from lower ranking tiers. wXP wise I probably make about the same on a lower tier as high, but alot less bag drops/gold.

They should just make some sort of line of sight idea for ACs, an AC shouldn’t be able to shoot through a wall.

You have it backwards OP. Forcing people to stay on a server they don’t wish to be on would kill the game.

People transfer for their own reason.

Some want to be on a server with good coverage around the clock. There are only going to be a few servers that can provide such coverage because the players in the off hours are much fewer than the primitime for those servers. Spreading these people out won’t make them happy since they won’t have the same numbers to play with or fight against.

Some want to play against certain guilds. Some want to work with certain guilds.

If a player doesn’t want to be on your server, why do you think forcing them to stay or forcing them to spread out is going to be a good thing? I’d quit or start griefing the server I was stuck on if I couldn’t play where, with whom, and against whom I wanted.

I don’t care about any server I’m on. I care about the guild I’m in. I will fight for my server since that is the team that I’m on but if my guild decided to go to a different server if my current server isn’t living up to expectations, then I will go with my guild.

Nothing is stopping you from transfering to a server that is offering the competition or coverage that you seek. If you don’t want to move, that is your problem.

How is incurring a cost to transfer forcing people to “stay” on a server. Some other poster had a great idea with the ranking system, for people who want to transfer to lower tier servers it cost alot less but to get into higher tier from lower it costs “x times” as much. Im seeing a huge problem with servers coming into lower tiers and getting guilds to transfer by “paying” for them with in game gold. If this practice is allowed, Im going to start going to higher tier servers and bringing guilds/people down fully paid transfers with full teamspeak access But see I think of this as “cheap” but screw it.

Another great idea would be for people who are creating new accounts, anet puts some sort of incentive to join lower ranking servers. Or something along the lines of this.

I have no problem with conditions, I laugh at condition builds. With a proper group you should LOVE conditions, as you can turn them into boons consistently.

Battles with all 3 in SM will just be 100% skill lag, meaning unable to use any skills because I have seen it over and over again. Those big zerg vs zerg battles are not “epic” they are “noob/rookie”. Watch real epic battles with 15-20 taking out 60+ zergs.

From the 12 servers I have played on, the best small man groups play on Eredon Terrace and Fergusons crossing. There are bad groups on every server, but those two have some of the strongest small man havoc guilds I have played against. Ive played with and against most server tiers.

But if you haven’t already, I suggest you try sPvP. WvW is in a bad place right now and I doubt it is going to change. It seems WvW is only designed to cater for casuals and Anet seems intent on keeping it that way.

Those 2 servers have some of the worst players I have ever fought in WvW “skill wise”.

All these transfers are KILLING servers or making certain servers sooooo lopsided because they are “paying” for guilds from other servers to transfer. Big guilds come down to my tier all the time and swoop out hundreds of people and it’s making me HATE this game! They need to make transfers cost REAL $ like $20 PER transfer like warcraft did, not gold/gems. This would atleast make it less common in my opinion.

I’m still crashing in WvW at random times same error as everyone seems to be posting. Has happened for months now.

I read that this box requires 500 Rawhide Leather Section
75 Wool Scrap 400 Thin Leather Section
30 Cotton Scrap 90 Coarse Leather Section
45 Linen Scrap 60 Rugged Leather Section etc?

Or is it one or the other?

Monocle will rise maybe to 100/150g but is that worth a barely 2X profit not really. If coffers go to around 4/5s thats 4/5x profit. The holo wings I’m not sure they will raise since the supply is very high. And food wont raise because the NPC for the candy is sticking around after the event is over I was told.

I noticed massive skill lag today in EB, I had over 30 FPS but I kept pressing my skills but nothing was casting…. I had to do auto attack with melee, the only thing that worked.

No different then any other MMO, wont be many people in starting areas because everyone is max level and takes a very short time to get there.

I see some servers that have high population but seem to have 10X more people then some of the low tier servers that classify as “very high” servers?

Same thing happening for me, atleast FPS seems to be a little better lately don’t know if they did any updates to help that but this crashing thing is a little annoying.

Having same issue and my trade post is not working. Everytime I try to list 1 item it says error attempting to sell “even after waiting 1 hour”.

Yup mesmers are basically forced to go phantasm build now since no other viable builds are available in PVP.

I have a bunch of candies and wondering will the NPC that converts candies into food stay around after the event?

I wish they didn’t nerf the cooldown, I’m ok with the retaliation working but retal + cooldown? jesus.. They keep killing viable builds. Only decent build left forces you to use greatsword.

Bought 8000 got 6 skins and first 4000 opened I got 0 skins.

Very weird sitting there longer waiting for cooldown plus retal works against you? geeze… I don’t know if my builds viable anymore :P Thank god I’m not working on the Bolt.

It’s not BS, and it’s not just me look around at other threads. And I have used multiple computers to test and the issue still arises. Any other game out there works perfectly fine. CPU % at 8-11% is very low and under used for a “CPU heavy game” as the developers have said.

Honestly Iruwen it doesn’t matter where I am my GPU gets way too hot, fans spin at insane speeds and GPU % is way too high I can run games 10X more intense than this and not hit 99% GPU. But the proof is in the updates, 9 months ago I never had FPS issues.

So they basically probably tried to take the burden off the CPU and make the GPU do some of the work/all the work. Well this can cause the exact issues we are having. My CPU is only at 8-11% usage TOTAL while game is running? Why offload so much CPU work when my CPU isn’t even being used. Also a CPU can handle higher load consistently alot better then a GPU can.

I dont think you can really generalize this whole thing. For me the performance of the game increased drastically. I was unable to play when there were 15-20 people on screen because of FPS problems. This has steadily gotten better for me over the last months. Im using what I would consider a low-end CPU and a pretty average GPU.

Also this Email seems pretty fake to me. Prove me wrong but no hardware-manufacturer would call the publisher of a game – a (potential) customer to their software and hardware – “ignorant” or anything around those lines. If it just is a regular employee who talks about that privately he might not even have full insight into the matter. In fact I dont see a single point of proof in your post and therefore – until proof is presented – everyone should be aware that this a claim by OP and a claim only. We as regular customers dont have insight into whats going on at ANET and what their approach to this whole thing is. But Im certain that this is a matter that theyre aware of.

The proof is in playing the game, my GPU is at 99% with a GTX690 and low FPS but 9+ months ago I had no issues. Yet a guild mate of mine has an onboard graphics card and gets same if not better FPS. I’ve actually had another guild mates video card die while playing GW because of the 99% GPU issue. Anet is lucky they haven’t had class action lawsuits for frying video cards.

The processors at stock speeds will also bottleneck your performance.

The first one has a processor that cannot be overclocked.

I’m running a similar, slightly more powerful, system (i7-920 @3,5GHz and GTX 670) and no, it isn’t. It’s not low-end hardware and even with an overclocked Haswell, you’ll end up with ~30FPS in zergs, the GPU barely matters. It’s just bad optimization, a single thread eating up too many cycles. They knew what they were programming, it should have been clear from the start that this wouldn’t work out.

Very true, GPU does not matter. Like I said guild member runs a onboard graphics card and gets better FPS then my GTX690.
