Possible long ranged kit.

I picked the Engineer because it was declared the Jack of all Trades profession which I thought would be really kewl and fun to learn.

The profession does fill this role to a point but I think it is also lacking in a lot of areas.

As it is right now the Engineer seems to only be OP in the area of if I want to run away from you and I have the proper “run away” utiltiy skills slotted then well I am getting away. OP isnt really the right word to use but if there is any area that we seem to excel in its CCing and running. But really a thief can even run away better than us because he can just go invisible.

I think some form of long range kit would fit perfectly with the engineer and having something in the form of a sniper kit would fit perfectly in the game. There are already sniper rifles in the game and having them be a kit fits right into that whole sniper rifle in a suitcase type idea which is awesome.

I’ve stated before tht I think the way it should go is scrap our useless mortar elite, we dont need anymore ranged AOE, nades more than cover this and better. In place of the mortar should be an elite kit. (seriously if kits are our bread and butter how do we not have an elite one?)

I think 2 ways would be viable but I am no expert on this stuff or you would all be playing my awesome MMO.

  1. Sniper Rifle – A deployable sniper on bi-pods, basically the same idea as the mortar, its stationary and works more like a ballista without the range, meaning that your cant fire unless you have a target. Its not a kit but would be much easier to implement.
  1. Sniper Kit – Not stationary, but a true kit. The skills would all be skills that you have to stop moving to use. (cant remember the term) This way we have a long range option but it has its limitations like all the other skills engineers have.

When free server transfers end the “spy” stuff will decrease.
They are gonna implement the guesting thing which makes me think that server transfers aren’t going to be very cheap.

How about this:

Long Rifle Kit

Tht should get around the technicality or terminology or w/e the issue is.

The fact is tht Engineers have a shotgun that is using the rifle skins since having a weapon that is exclusive to Engineers would be silly. It was a shotgun at one point.

So a long range option seems fine to me since in time everything can get balanced.

Queue Times

The last data I saw had an overwhelming majority of transfers from servers with long queu times (generally from winning servers), to servers with short queu times (generally to losing servers). There are some people going to the winning servers, but the simple truth is the vast majority are not.

That being said, we are working on long term improvements to queus, transfers, and WvW content in general. We’ll talk more about this in the future as features/plans get closed to being finalized.

If you read between the lines he basically just said that the whole WvWvW point system will be eliminated and as soon as your server is getting beat too badly you will then log in as a dragon and YOU will be a DE for the enemy team to try and kill.

AND

You will still be able to do the jumping puzzle but at the end the chest will contain a big bad mother golem that will come out and give you a spanking for spending too much time on yourself and not helping your team. (You will also get one badge of honor)

I mean its right there if you just look.

^ yeah thts my biggest beef, I am sure the whole kits working with weapon stats and sigils will get addressed in due time.

I am most bummed that my kits and turrets will always look the same. I would like it to be so depending on the rarity of your weapon you get a different skin for turrets and kits. Even if it just made them shiny like copper-silver-gold-etc.

Being able to use dyes on them would be awesome but would also be unfair to other professions unless they let Rangers/Necros/Mesmers dye their pets(illusions w/e) and let thieves dye the color of their #1 skill since that is their most favorite thing

Golem Kit

A kit with 5 deployable mini golems

  1. - Suicide Golem
  2. - Annoying Child Golem (runs and holds onto the enemies leg when they are trying to get away)
  3. - Magnetic Golem (pulls all attacks to itself for 2sec)
  4. - Elderly Assist Golem (follows you around granting stability for 3sec)
  5. - TLC Golem (grants regen while out, activate again to get sprayed with a healing golem goo & create combo field)

Both Chinese and the Greeks invented flame throwers in ancient times, they made the tool appearance or flamethrower backpacks like modern ones just for fun like the grenade appearance, but these stuff did existed in old historical times.

Okay I really dont want to sound like I am ragging on you, but I don’t think historical when I play GW2, I really don’t think fantasy when I think of GW2 maybe sci-fi fantasy.

With all the golems, ray guns and computer consoles I have come across while playing, not to mention floating cities and airships, the concept of an engineer using his wrench to attach a “looking glass” to the top of his rifle doesnt seem far fetched or out of place at all.

Giving engineers sniper like range attack kit would over power our class, considering rangers should be the master of long range dmg.

You guys can put it on the wishlist but I don’t find it really RP, snipers are a modern profession when it comes to gunmans. The only superb range damage class in history were long bow archers that can shoot some where close to 500meters, just like why guardians (knights) don’t use bows in the game, in history knights have to get off their horses and take off their armors to use bows. I guess this is up to the devs to decide.

Firearms snipers have existed since the invention of firearms.

Secondly, your full of it, if your trying to tell folks they are wrong by basing historical fact to justify a fantasy games rules.

Where did you heard this from snipers have existed since the invention of firearms? Do you even know who invented the gun?

And I’m not fool of it, seriously calm down about this, like I’ve said you guys can put it on the wishlist but it’s up to the devs to decide.

In history, there is no charr, asura, sylvari, norn, magics, focus. I also don’t recall grenades in the form we have in the game now being invented. People don’t even realistically fight a war with a scepter other than being a symbolic icon.

Race and magic are fantasy in game, and they use the modern grenade apperanace just to not confuse it with the bomb kit, but sniper rifles are modern weapons, this is the conflict I’m trying to say in RPing. Might as well let engineers summon a M1A2 tank.

There are tanks in the game, along with robots and powersuits.
Engineers even carry a wrench and pry bar tht look like the kind I use in the motor pool.
Also the Flamethrower, although shooting flames was invented quite a while ago, (as cog stated it was prolly by the chinese, if not then the greeks) but the whole flamethrower backpack screams WWII, in which there were snipers.

I think it fits into the RP of gw2, putting a scope on your rifle seems like a pretty engineery (sc) thing to do. That one charr seems to even be holding a sniper rifle.

I agree that a sniper could be out of place for an engineer if it is too damage focused but if it had the same control focused ablities our other weapons have than i think it could work as a range option that wouldnt out-due rangers.

I would say scrap the mortar elite and make the sniper a deployable gun on bi-pods that worked more like a ballista with a lower range. So slow firing and non moveable.

But thats just my wish (right below Emma Stone and Diane Kruger in my bedroom)

My take is that since this is almost impossible to truly track and regulate it will be labeled as a viable tactic.

Same with hoping on servers to dump supplies or simply take up queue spaces.

As long as WvWvW remains as competitive as it is with a point system and ultimate goal of 1st place glory ppl will use whatever tactics they can.

Every other online game created that has some form of boosting has had boosters take full advantage of it.

That why i thought restricting the stat buffs to each respective Borderland might help so even if you are the weak server you could just focus on taking back your home borderland where you will always have an advantage.

Orbs = Boost to the Pve buffs your server gets.
Bases = The stat buffs you wouldve got from the orbs. Just spread out more.

So by taking back towers,keeps etc. you are also weakening the team that held it prior. Even if by a small amount. The stat buffs would only benefit the people in the borderland that the bases are held in.

What they should do is simply eliminate the points entirely.

This. As long as the ultimate goal seems to be, get the highest points, ppl wont care about taking back territory because they know even if they did they will still be in last so why do it.

If there is no points and you see that your borderland is completely overrun the goal is just simply take your territory back.

Orbs should grant the PVE bonuses and nodes like towers and keeps should provide the stat increases. So by taking back territory you are also weaking the team that held them before.

When I dont have a kit slotted in utility my secondary weapon slot opens up so I can have P/S (P/P) – Rifle with turrets/elixirs/gadgets as my 3 utilities.

Well he was obviously a little confused and I’m guessing its because they are called Device kits and Weapon kits on the respected pages.

I appreciate what your saying, but if anyone clicks the link that is in the link he posted, it answers the question in detail with illustrations as well

I understand that it is implied but when you click the link for “unarmed kits” it takes you to a page labeled “device kits”

It refers to all the kits on the page as “Device Kits”

only in one spot on the page does it say unarmed kit and it is in the description of the skill he is asking about. No where on the page does it specifically say Device kits are Unarmed kits.

So I understand how he got confused which is why I tried to give him an answer.

WvWvW just equals a week long tPvP match.
By having points, overly rewarding the dominant team and punishing anyone who comes in underprepared it will just turn into a battle between the few WvWvW guilds/servers and the other servers will only consist of the participants that feel like ganking supply camps while the zerg is across the map is reason enough to keep playing.

I cant say this is good or bad, or what they intended but just seems like its the direction its headed.

Like it was said, this is a game, ppl want to just have fun. Its a small group tht thinks its fun to keep fighting a losing battle. You dont much see a group of 3 trying to kill dragons because it is impossible.

Its either WvW is about points and glory and being the top guild on the top server. Which it is now.

WvW is supposed to just be about fun and epic battles, if thts the case then if your server only has half the WvW population than they should double your NPC’s or raise their level.

All the difficulty in WvW outside the T1 bracket lies with the weakest team. The weakest teams with the lowest population are somehow expected to also be the most organized and tactical.

How about mid week the 2nd and 3rd teams become allied so the top team will have a challenge for the rest of the week instead of just building siege outside the losers spawn.

I think it will basically make it so when you switch to a kit you just keep the stats you have while your weapon is equipped. The idea being that since it is a kit and not a true weapon swap you shouldnt lose your weapon stats. Which would be great.

I have more of a fools wish to have it so the look of kits and turrets will change depending on your gear. So if you have Rare – MW – Epic weapon you will have a Rare – MW – Epic turret/kit skin.

Stats will be an awesome addition but for me it makes me sad to see that ever since I got my little thumber turrets its balls havent gotten any bigger even though im better geared and lvl80!

I would of liked to have a stictly ranged option too…

But with the rifle the way it is I enjoy the flexibility it has.
You can attack at range and you can keep ppl at range.
Or you can confuse them by blunderbussing their face, knocking them back then jumping shotting right back at them.

When used with the flamethrower and or something like PBR enemies are almost constantly on their backs.

I just wish the Engineer had a little more grace.
Overcharged shot and jump shot are nice but they are so clunky and it feels like an invisible giant is just kicking my guy around.

One Skill for Expansion

I always thought these type of threads were interesting.

So one skill that you would like to see in the future. I have no idea how and if skills will ever be added but lets just pretend that they will add skills that you can then swap out for existing ones. Doesnt need to be viable just curious what ideas are out there.

Mine:

Rifle

Rapid Shot
Dmg – comparable to blunderbuss
Fire a three round burst at the enemy each round having a chance to inflict cripple, bleeding or blindness
Range 1200

The idea being that you are either hitting them in the limbs, gut or head. Its RNG on the conditions so you could get none or you could get all.

I like the rifle but theres alot of situations where I wish it was more strictly range so I would like this instead of blunderbuss.

note: I really hated the whole RNG aspect of engineer skils but I have gotten used to them and they seem to be a part of the profession dynamic so I figured might as well embrace it and carry over to weapons.

So what is one skill that you would like to see?

I like my no cooldown kits that allows me to have 5 different weapon sets. Don’t take that away from me because you don’t enjoy it. Engineer was balanced around no weapon swapping because of our kits and it’s something really unique to our profession that no other profession can say they have. Elementalist come close to it, but with a cooldown on their Attunements, they fall a bit short of that goal.

Edit: Kits are going to be able to be boosted with Sigils, ArenaNet is working on it so be a bit patient. Oh, and I’m paraphrasing but I remember something along the lines of two handed weapons being able to equip two sigils, so our Rifle usage will increase as well.

I totally agree with you I dont want to lose my kit 1 sec CD, I really dont want kits changed at all except to be coehesive with stats and sigils, which would is awesome if they are working on it.

I only want a secondary weapon when I decide I want to play without kits, I love kits but playing all gadgets or a mixture of turrets and elixirs can be fun and it would be nice if I could have a secondary weapon so i can still take advantage of things like the weapon swap sigil. Even if sigils work with kits on swap sigils will still be useless to the people who dont use them.

Its just my opinion, I will keep playing my engineer and have fun regardless.

I have decided I will not overhaul the class. I was going to implement all the changes in this post by the next patch but you guys coming to this thread and explaining how I was so wrong has changed my mind and now I have decided that this will be the first MMO in history that no changes will ever be made to the game mechanics.

Also forums will stictly be for bug reporting, PvP pwn videos and writing sweet love poems about the first game to ever get it completely right.

(which of those builds do weapon swap sigils work on? just curious cuz thts the one I will use!)

Pistol / Shield

Oh I agree to an extent. Due to the fact that pistol main hand has a horrible damage coefficient and is very condition damage focused.

MH pistol is the absolute only option we have with pistol. I do feel shield #4 should be 25s CD as base and #5 should be 30s as base. As of now the #5 skill does not get the 20% reduced CD at all if you throw the shield. As well, we have to spend 20 points to invest in the reinforced shield trait.

Yeah the #5 not getting reduced CD bummed me out because the shield toss is one of the funnest and coolest looking skills.

I sometimes wish tht you could move while doing #4, ala thief, but this skill has still saved me more than most others. aoe knockback is nice

Good idea…I dont know about dual wielding nades but it would look cool.

I think fixing the weapon swap sigils for kits is a must and you should retain your stats when you switch.

It would also be nice to have the secondary weapon slot unlock when you dont have a kit equiped so now matter how you want to play you can have a secondary option!

i always leave WvW on a profit, and i get involved on a lot of large-scale battles.

the solution is “stop being suicidal”. WvW DEs reward quite a lot of money, and you get a crapton of event rewards just by attacking/defending. taking a keep can give you enough money to repair a full set of damaged armor, which hopefully you haven’t broken on that invasion alone.

When your server is behind by almost 200,000 points from 1st place and another 75,000 from second and you have no orbs and only 50 ppl or less or logged into your borderland and the other two teams are solely focused on just killing you over and over because camping the weakest team nets the best reward for the other 2 instead of trying to battle eachother……..

….well then doing DE isnt an option because you will get ganked in the process taking a keep with so few ppl will net you more then enough deaths to outwiegh the reward if you manage to cap it, which u most likely wont because the winning teams have such a supply advantage every point is just littered with siege.

So the only option you have left is to just try and constantly fight a larger group which is almost always suicidal…this would be fine and at least something fun for the weakest server to do if you didnt have to get penalized for dying.

Personally I think if you fight against a larger force and manage to do a decent amount of damage before dying you should get a badge of honor. Its not very honorable to sit in a group 100 outside a spawn dropping ppl with siege but you sure get rewarded for it.

#1. I used to. I’m lucky to even get a single player kill anymore.
#2. Nope I could and have spent hours upgrading a base just to have it taken down in 10 minutes by a zerg.
#3. 1day, least then if you are getting your kitten pushed in you only have to bite your wrist till the end of the day.
#4. Win? my server has been in a distant 3rd the last 2 matches, all the players that made us winners just transferred to servers where winning takes much less effort.

There is no alliance.

Its simple the game is all about points and killing the weakest team is the easiest way to get points so ET and IoJ mainly focus on CD because, why wouldnt they?? its easy points. ET established they were first within the first few day by dominating the weakest team, IoJ knows they are gonna be 2nd and the way to keep 2nd isnt by poking the first place giant. So the weakest team will always get rolled first its just good tactics for how the game is structured right now.

ET deserves their win, and IoJ has earned their 2nd place because they obviously dont have as many quitters as CD does. I’m sure ET and IoJ have had plenty of battles but why would they spend too much effort fighting eachother when they can just get what they want much easier from rolling the group of 50 unorganized, unmotivated and undetermined CD WvW holdouts.

If you could kill a trash mob in PVE and get the same amount of loot/gold/xp as a group boss wouldnt you just kill the trash mob.

This completely ruins any incentive for defeated teams to even play. My server has no chance of even getting to second place right now and I would love to just run around WvW trying find groups to get in a fight with maybe a 1v1 match or even just suiciding against a horde for the hell of it since there is nothing else to do. I’m not gonna do any of that because it will cost to much.

You get penalized for trying, I can try and hold off a group of 3-4 trying cap a supply camp or kill our mule for 5 minutes but unless i mange to kill one and they happen to drop loot I get nothing but a repair cost after they inevitably kill me.

This makes it a dont fight unless you have a good chance of winning type game which is just bleh when the team you are fighting has 3 orbs and siege over the entire map pointed at your spawn.

Im on CD and right now we are just shy of 80,000, while IoJ has 118,000 and ET has 243,000. Basically we have no chance of getting first and a slim to no chance of getting second. This is completely due to the fact tht everyone on CD got frustrated and either quit playing or transferred.

Everyone of our borderlands has no queue time basically all day long, and even trying to get a whole zone together we are lucky to get even close to 50 sheep. Nobody wants to play anymore and I would love to just suicide brawl over and over with some ET guys for the fun of it but I cant afford the repair costs for dying.

Now I think the ET has earned their victory over us but at the same time the vastness of how much we are getting stomped by is just outright a downer for anyone that wants to play. So people just don’t play and WvW grows emptier. The worst part is that ET and IoJ ppl have admitted that when all that matters is points, constantly smashing the weakest team is the easiest way to earn them so why would they spend to much time fighting eachother. Im not accusing at all just pointing out the mindset ppl seem to have, which in the games current state is perfectly logical, why would IoJ even attempt to mess with ET they know that they cant take them alone and CD is too weak to really ally with so in the end they would just be helping CD to get closer to tht second place spot.

I have been on my server the entire time so I cant speak for other ones but it seems like this will be the trend of WvW, the groups in tier1 will have awesome battles while tier2 and 3 will just be dominated by the groups that got knocked down the last round. While this is fair and all it has that “every server has the potential to win” attitude to it, which isnt true. If you dont have the players you dont have the players.

I understand that server pride is important and the most organized servers deserve the victories they get in WvW, but what would be more important to me is keep WvW the constant battle royal back and forth tht it was meant to be.

ET beat us within the first couple of days and while I wont condone server hoping I cant really blame people for doing it. The few ppl left WvWing on CD have had a week getting facerolled and ganked at every corner of the map and still have another 3 days to enjoy.

I think even ET would want us to have somekind of advantage so at least they have some more people to fight.

If you want to get rewarded by playing a purely supportive role, why not just ask the team that you’re supporting to give you drops and gold?

I thought this would be higher on the priority list as its pretty obvious to me. Supporting players should also contribute for rewards! ArenaNet, some of us actually enjoy playing support. We dont just want to kill all the time to get rewarded!

No reward for support is the main reason why I dont play WvW anymore..

You are not forced to play a “support only” class.
Hince ridding the traditional “Holy trinity” of Tank/DPS/Support.

You can be more “support based” but you can also deal damage and get rewards the same.

I dont see why in a team-focused enviroment fully supporting your team should get you nothing. Just because you are not forced to be support only doesnt mean you shouldnt get rewarded for it. You are not forced to play offense class either but you obviously have to if you want badges.

If someone spends the whole time cycling through heal skills to keep their team alive so they can defeat another possibly larger group they should get rewarded for it.
It doesnt take anything away from anyone else to reward ppl for team playing.

I dont think the point was to end the holy trinity just to make it so you arent restricted by it.

If 1 person has to cycle through their healing skills in WvW and that’s all they do, then the players you are supporting are doing something wrong.

I play a glass cannon built Elementalist. Sometimes I pull myself from DPS to heal people, then change attunement and go back to damaging foes. I also know a support built elementalist who pulls himself from healing to dps a bit.

If the people you are playing with rely on only you, not 1 other person to out heal the damage they take in WvW then you might want to speak to them, and say “Hey Im not just a healer”.

Any player that only does 1 thing, with the variety Anet gave classes is not making full use of their class. Yes you can have a preference, however it’s not forced.

It’s all about teamwork. The game was not designed for 1 “player” to do all dps, 1 for all tanking, 1 for all healing.

I still dont see how getting loot for supporting would negativly affect anyone so I think you are just tryin to be contradictive.

You also managed to explain it just fine, you can do a variety of things with each class as far as tanking, dps, support and healing but you only get rewarded for dealing damage. So no Anet is not forcing you to play a specific role but they do have it so you only get rewarded for playing one.

This isnt sPvP so your learn 2 play type comments mean nothing to me, WvW was supposed to be a much less competitive form of PvP for people who are either new or don’t do well in smaller 1v1 PvP groups. So if someone wants to run around only supporting their group because they are better at fighting then good for them.

Why argue against someone getting rewarded for helping get kills, did they not earn some loot for healing and buffing!?

Was talking with someone in WvW and came up with an idea.

You only get points for the bases you control in your home borderland and EB.
If you can capture and hold all the points in an the opposing teams borderland than you get a burst of points and/or lower the other teams points pool.

This way even if you are on the losing team you can have a focus to keep your garrison and turn towers and supply camps to stop the dominant teams from getting a huge point increase. It wouldnt really stop better servers from winning it would just cut down the point gap and maybe add a little focus for the losing teams so everyone doesn’t just quit.

After all the points in a zone are captured that borderland could maybe even reset to give the defeated server a chance to come back a little.

(We were just bs-ing so I dont know how valid this is, just an idea)

You call that a good thing, I think that is the problem. You shouldn’t be able to hop to the winners, the game should encourage (and I think is designed to encourage) server pride rather than allow gaming the system like this.

Your server should be a meaningful thing for you, I’ve been desolation since day1 of headstart and only care where my server is in the ranking.

Sorry! I shouldve added a /sarcasm or something, I was attempting to be a smartass.

I was just trying to point out that as long as there is a score ppl will want to be a part of the highest score, whether they earn it through tactics or just having greater numbers throughout the day.

Im on CD and we have gotten completely rolled the last two matches but I will stay on CD and hope things will even out later, but as it is ppl have no incentive to play WvW because we have no chance to win or even get close to second.

Personally I am still enjoying ganking Godsword back over and over…even if its just for a few minutes till ET comes and steps on me…but seems like we only ever have 50 or less ppl playing on our home borderland.

I think alot of things ruin WvW and its going to end up just being a fight between the few servers that all the WvW players flock to. So if your server doesnt have a huge 24/7 zerg raiding guild then have fun trying to gank your own supply camps and towers back for a few minutes just for to get some PvP in.

I guess this is what alot of people consider WvW to be, I thought it was a gonna be a much more casual PvP option and not so focused on scores and junk.

But tht was just me being wrong. WvW can really be fun for awhile but once the server with the higher population starts rolling you ppl just quit and its bleh.

So ppl swapping servers to “spy” or dump supplies is only salt in the wound if your server has weak WvW population.

I like all these ideas, my server has been the weak 3rd the last 2 matches and people arent playing anymore, theres just no incentive to try and launch any kind of real couner attack. So our WvW pop has been reduced to the people trying to get achievements and the people who really only want to PvP in a less structured way then sPvP.

I remember hearing one suggestion of making it so when you are in your home borderland you have a much greater advantage, something beyond what we have now. So even if your server is getting dominated everywhere else on your home borderland you will always have a chance.

(Don’t know if it would work or help but it sounded good)

I was intently watching this video trying to see if any other weapon skills besides 1 and 5 were activated….I was mesmerized by how lame it is that there is a profession where all you have to do is spam a few skills and be good at dodging….I thought of how good it felt that I rolled an Engineer where after your cheapness kills me at least I will know I had to use all my skills and tricks to stay alive….And just when I thought you were gonna rez your buddy and say “heh its easy to kill 3 ppl when you only have to press the same key” you instead said "#$^%$ noobs…………what a doosh!!!

I make gold (profit) in WvW. You want to make gold? Help capture points on the map. Loot your foes. Gather and collect materials, you don’t have to go out of your way, but passing right by one, use the node.

Unless you are on the losing team or not in a giant zerg where capturing points will cost you some deaths and repair costs. and even going arounded gathering will get you ganked because your entire map is taken over.

I dont even have an incentive to mindlessly suicide fight ppl for fun since I have to pay for dying.

Well telephones shouldn’t exist in this game so either the warning is carried by a courier to the defending team’s base, or no courier is implemented at all. People should not know if their base is being taken or not if they aren’t physically on the scene. Punish the team for not doing their job as a defender. Can’t get away with dominating a whole map, spawn camping the enemy, and immediately knowing that your base on the other side of the map is being taken if one person does damage to a guard.

Geez ppl sure get defensive fast. I meant only while you are in the vicinity do you see ppl on the minimap, if you are on the otherside of the map wont see anything.

So I only meant you could upgrade a tower with scouts (or something) and while you are at the tower the scouts report the location of attackers to you. If nobody is at the tower defending it then it doesnt matter all ppl will see is the contested cross swords.

no, we dont need minimap campers who simply see red and turn their character… it eliminates stealth movements on the field and makes certain types of manuevers useless.

do it the right way, use your eyes, your enemy is a movement away

The right way is the same thing when ppl see red names they will go chase after them, problem is tht once you get within 100m only then do you realize it wasnt one red name but 50 tht havent rendered yet.

Thts why I said only in the vicinity of the towers or forts, you can still stealth around most of the map taking supply camps and routes.

And I meant it more as an upgrade like add a certain amount of scouts to the walls. Then you can kill the scouts to stop the spotting. Just thought it might add some more tactics to taking bases knowing that you can just attack base npcs without drawing attention to yourself.

well as soon as you attack the area becomes contested and ppl know you are there, I know it wouldnt work to have everyone revealed but Towers and Keeps arent supposed to be taken by 5 ppl so giving away a ganking party should be a benefit to having a tower.

I more just meant that when you are in view of the bases NPCs tht you get revealed and it was more a thought to help with ppl just popping in due to latency since I figured it would be easier to render a dot then a character.
