Making it easier for people to react to stuff makes only the game ’ s skill cap lower.

Well, making it easier for people to react to stuff and buff damage/X duration from it will only make this game’s skill cap higher. For now 90% of players are using dodge just in hope they’ll dodge something serious or to proc some effects at the end of the dodge (guard/ele). Delaying cast times or/and making animations more visible and different for each cast (no chance as long as asuras are still in the game and there is no option to change all models in pvp to human male for example) will make this game much more competitive.
Now we only have op who thinks that this pull was designed to be instant cc ability and didn’t even think that it is possible to place wall and delay pull, what a shame.

The best option someone mentioned in another thread was to have a game option that when toggled changes the models to something like human, but looking at anets track record this might take a few years for them to come out with

I have some ideas about necromanser’s traits.

Spite

III – Spiteful Removal
When you kill a foe you lose three conditions.
change to
When you kill a foe you and nearby allies lose two conditions. (mb with some cd).

VII – Spiteful Marks
Marks deal 10% more damage.
Well, this trait is actually useless because marks deal very small amout of damage. Something like +50% would be much more useful and still not op.
But i would like if this trait will be reworked.

VIII – Signet Power
Activating a signet gives you three stacks of might for 10 seconds.
With that high cd on signets 10 seconds of might just not enough.
So, i think that it should be at least 20 seconds. At least.
or it would be a good decision to combine this trait with signet mastery and leave it with 10 or 15 seconds of might.

Curses

Barbed Precision
Critical hits have a 66% chance to cause bleeding.
First of all, description should be at least more detailed. It give 1 stack of bleeding for 1 seconds, and it is simply not serious.
1 stack for 3-4 seconds would be tolerably.

III – Chilling Darkness
When you blind a target, you also apply chill for 1 second.
1 seconds is definitely not enough.
Necromancer has blind with
off-hand dagger (Deathly swarm, 18 seconds cd)
Signet of Spite – 90(!!!) seconds cd
Well of Darkness – 60(48 with trait) seconds cd.

Thit trait only synergise with Well of Darkness, but 1 second of chill for each applied blind is just not serious, lol. Give this trait 3 or even 4 seconds of chill.

Blood Magic
IX – Deathly Invigoration
Heal in an area when you leave death shroud.
If the base amount and scale is like this: Healing 267 (0.32), then it should be greatly improved. It’s master trait and it should be much more powerful than 500 hp for using ds. I think it should be like 1200 + 0.4 healing power.

XII – Vampiric Rituals
Wells also siphon health every time they pulse.
At level 80, heals the player for 10 health per enemy affected (up to five targets), per pulse, per well. Unaffected by Healing Power.
Well, 10 hp per tic for grandmaster trait is… Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhould i compare this to elementalist’s heal from just 1 dodge in water attune with Evasive Arcana? Guess not. I’d say this trait should heal for at least 30-40 hp per tic.

Soul Reaping

V – Speed of Shadows
Move 15% faster while in death shroud.
This trait is seems to be completely useless. To compare with other traits it should give at least +30%ms or swiftness.

IX – Master of Terror
Fear you inflict lasts 50% longer.
Hmm, 50% is fine, but for master trait it’s not enough. I think that it should be combined with trait Terror(from Curses)
(Fear deals damage, and it deals an additional 50% damage if the target has another condition on them.)

Agree with 14-16 seconds cd. May be buff some unused skills. 2 sec damage+evade with 10 sec cd isn’t fine anyways.

Well, as Scolia said, the main problems is that you can not cancel skills which are already in skill queue, dodge for example. In PvE and WvWvW it may not be that bad, but in sPvP situation may change significally at any moment and skill queue is a problem.

The usefulness is that you don’t have skills misfire because you pressed it a tiny bit too soon. it helps ensure that tactical decisions play a larger role than twitch reflexes.

Let me draw out a situation for you to understand. You say, one skill of yours equivalent to 20% ok, now it would be fair if we miss one skill we wasted 5% of our skill.

1vs1 Eles using Dagger and Warrior using Snife GS.

First, War spot Eles. He use his Auto attack to get 1 hit in. Eles realize he getting hit, and he spot War near. Eles uses RtL to approach him. (5%) while War (0%). War see RtL coming and he is good, he dodge backward (0% skill wasted), Eles miss (5% wasted and put on 40s CD). Since War is so far away, Eles can not use Lightning Lash to attack. So Eles change to Fire (RtL wasted and on 40s CD, 5%, and put Air Attunement on 10s CD). Meanwhile War still get some free shot at Eles ( 0% wasted). Eles use Burning Foot to approach again (10% wasted, RtL and Burning Foot). War is good that he predict the skill coming, he dodge backward (0% wasted and 2 dodge being used). Eles still can not hit the War due to the range of Claw was too short. More Free shot for War. So far Eles has used 10% of his total skill (RtL and Burning Foot), put Air on 10s CD while dealing no kitteno War. War used 0% of his skill in total and 2 dodge and some free hit on Eles.

Then Eles switch to Earth (put Fire on 10s CD and Air right now say, 5s CD still), using Magnetic Grasp with the pray that please hit him (15% skill wasted and still no dam). War getting hit and being immobolize (0% skill Wasted, while waiting for endurance to refill). Eles approach with Magnetic Grasp and hit War with dams. (15% of total skill being used, Fire and Air put on 10s CD and the result is tinny bit Dam from Magenic Grasp). Eles proceed with Ring of Earth and War get hit and apply Bleeding, then Earth Quake to KD War and Cast CE like normal (in total of 30% skill). War oh no, I am being KD, and his endurance has been refill for at least another dodge. He dodge the CE at the very last second (2.5s when Eles start to cast) cause CE to miss. Eles best burst skill has been missed just like that.

OK War decided to still keep distance with Eles because he know Eles has no more Mobility skill (RtL is on 40s CD, Eles can not switch to Fire due to Fire still in CD), so he start with Cripple Shot. Eles being cripped and start slowing down. Now Eles has two choice, either use Cantrip to clear condition or Tune to Water to clear condition. Eles decide to go to Water (Put Earth on CD while Air is off CD). Then Eles go to Air but because RtL is still on CD and with Switfness from Arcane, he is barely able to catch up to War and War decide to change to GS and use Rush and Whirlwind Blade to keep a distance. Then he switch back to Snifle and keep getting free shot at Eles, not to mention all other skill with Snifle and Aimshot. Eles approach too close, ok here go Snifle 5 to knock Eles back and hey Cripple him, and keep getting free shot hit.

In short, that is what happened. Please tell me if anything in this sencario that I overlooking and that you can not pull off in real fight?So how many skill Eles has to be wasted to be able to hit War just once and not even stratching his armor a bit? (15%) + Free shot from War compare to your 20% skill wasted, I would take over 20% skill wasted + Free shot hit anytime.

Conjure GS, I believe that is what you are talking about. It take 2s to Cast and can not cast while Moving. The only reason Eles pull of the GS like you said is to run away which means Eles already out of option and that is the last resort. But being stay still while low health, any class can finish Eles in just 2s and there you go, Eles never get a chance to get away.

Don’t tell me you can not kite a Melee class?Sure we have RtL,sure we have burning foot and Mganetic grasp, only RtL has 1200 range and all the other has the range of 600.And most of the range weapon out there can shoot at 1200 range. Sure to approach you, Eles will need to use all mobility skill. Don’t tell me you can’t get some free hit on him while he doing this?And the shortest CD is 8s on Burning foot or Magnetic grasp (not so sure though),once he use all his mobile skill, he is your target shooting for the next 8s. What stop you from doing so?

2s Stun from Earthquake. Oh dear, are we even playing the same class in the same game? Earthquake does KD, my ignorant Dinosaur, unless you think stuns and KD is the same which is..laughable at your game mechanic. With stun, you Can Not do anything, with KD you can still Teleport away and get back up right away. Too bad you don’t know this. You are too full of yourself.

I compare RtL with Warrior Rush because they acts at the very same way, gap closer and a mean to escape with no need of target. Why only RtL getting this bs nerf?

20 spells with possibility to swap whenether you want (excluding recently changed attune) against 10 spells (5+5) with 10(or 5 with trait) seconds cd.
Ele’s have more spells and have no problems with swapping attunes -> ele’s spells must be weaker than other’s classes similar skills.

And No, to an outsider,these Infos could be not much but to us Eles, that is a huge impact considered we only have 1 or 2 viable build out there.And regardless of what the build is, unless you are super skill, we all have to trait in Water and Arcane combine with our healing power and mobility Just to keep us alive long enough to be useful. We are a cloth class with meele Attack play style after all.

RtL 20s on hit and 40s with no hit,way over the top. How about Rush in Warrior (20s CD and 1200 Range), Whirwind Blade (8s CD 600 Range).

Signet of Restoration: Passive heal slightly reduced: Another Hit to our weak already defensive, make us now has to go even more Defensive just to SURVIVE.

Cleansing Waters: Now removes 1 condition with a 5s CD. In PvE, it is not bad of a hit. In PVP it is a Huge Hit. Come with this, I would like to see Condition not flying everywhere in PvP, pls

On swiftness, speedy kits is definitely the best option. It’s certainly not the only one—if you’re an elixir build you’ll have pretty high swiftness uptime just from H and B drinking/throwing. I use med kit without speedy kits or runes, and that’s only 50%+ uptime obviously. However, you can drop your stimulant before the match starts, or while you wait for a point to cap, etc. I end up having a much higher swiftness uptime than 50% because I can drop the stimulant before I need it.

Its pretty sad, but, for example, stimulant does not give you only swiftness, fury from it is very useful sometimes. As i said, using elixir B or H just for swiftness is unreasonably, because when its on cooldown you become much weaker when it’s not. Using utility skills and even heal for just swiftness (random swiftness from elixir H!) is actually not what i want to do playing engineer.

the 20s GCD made (a little) sense before they redesigned the skills. Now with the 20s GCD on top of these new (weaker) skills it’s like ANet is saying “we really don’t want you to use this”…

I agree with it. Even giving us 20s gcd made this skill much weaker.

Kit refinement is certainly not worth taking any more in multiple kit builds, but it’s still possible to get a similar playstyle to the old kitmaster builds.

Exactly! But not only with multiplie builds since we have no any option when it should be activated, because they removed possibility to not proc it in air. Engis only way to stay mobile is using speedy kits as much as they can, and it definitely has no any synergy with kit refinement now. We even have no traits nor utilites giving us movement speed when out of combat (i didn’t count leg mods just because this 10% are useless). Using elixir B just for swiftness is silly, and its toolbelt skill gives random effects. Actually, we HAVE TO take speedy kits in ANY build, if we want to move faster than turtle. The only alternative is to use full set of centaur runes and med kit.

Well, i dont know where i should post this to get wide publicity of what anet is doing, because i’m sure that i’m not the only one who think that nerfing something that is not ele/mesmer/thief is ridiculous. I played those classes and i know what i’m talking about.

Thiefs and mesmers are NOT op. mesmers are pretty strong. And eles are indeed a little bit strong.

I didnt even say that they are op or not. It is still obvious that this classes are much easier to play than others. And yes, i’ve played all classes, just except necro.

So, about kit refinement nerf.

EG: deleting super elixir proc is obviously one of the main targets of this nerf.

Grenade kit: we had funny and not actually viable build. Now… we have useless mine which can be used once per 20 seconds.

Bomb kit: this is the only kit refinement proc that was actually was buffed.

Flamethrower: until anet will do something with endless misses while atacking moving targets, nobody cares. Except some condi-bunkers, may be.

Tool kit: we had caltrops that were useful for retreating, now we have… 2 seconds of double speed. Well, it might be usef… oh, 20 seconds GCD. Now i think that it cant be useful on any maps except spirit watch. Thanks for this awesome balance, i win 90% of games on spirit watch now.

Medkit: magnetic aura with 20 seconds GCD. Hmmm. No.

Do you like GCD guys? Why elems do not have any gcd on their skills? On attune swap? On elemental attuning? On elemental surge? On evasive arcana? Hmmm?

Conclusion: single trait was nerfed to the ground and there were not any trait that was actually buffed. Elems… were not nerfed.

Because Anet want cripple to affect for example, warrior’s whirlwind and, of course, not elem’s rtl/mist form, because elems may feel that they are too much underpowered.

Want to do something against elems/mesmers/thieves without playing piano masterpiece on keyboard – play elems/mesmers/thieves. Its obvious, and its what ANET want to see in this game. They also prefer to delete some posts and themes discussing about this problem.

Well, we got 500-500 not because of kills, both teams earned them at the same time for holding points.

I’m sorry, but you definitely didnt understand. Im absolutely against leaving the game when it is already started, but… I just want to give people opportunity to see if there are some groups in roster and concretely which players are in these groups. Also, anet MUST give people ability to see guildtags in roster and to leave the roster before game starts. After they leave, game should be cancelled and then system will search for a replacement player. I might bring a bit sad news but NO ONE wants to play against 5 people team. For as long as anet do not correct matchmaking system, I will just leave any game against 4-5 people with same guildtags.

If team of 5 ppl join roster – they must fight against other team of 5 ppl. Roster with party of 4 ppl must fight against 3-4 ppl. 3 against 2-3-4, 2 against 1-2-3. This will be the best solution.
Also, i still dont understand why i cant leave tournament when its going 1×5, for example. If current system will continue to exist, you MUST make people able to not join the game if they were matched against 5 ppl team. It means that people should be able to see players which belong to the same group, and leave before game starts without any penalty. That’s the way to balance it.
I am very disappointed with the current state of affairs.

Lags after about 17:00-19:00 (GMT+6) till night in sPvP, dunno about PvE or WvW. After one of the early january patches. Definitely ANet… ok, may be miraculously routing in europe problems, checked ISL, in other games all is fine, burn in hell.

Guess not a bug, just a random. Fox example, see “minor rune of the monk” – binds on acquire. Superior runes of the nightmare, monk, forge, sanctuary, etc. binds on acquire.

I dont play WvW, but in sPvP i have very annoying lags and spikes whole time, but at night its a bit better. It started about 3-4 days ago. In PvE all is ok. In other games all is ok. So, please, fix it.
Forgot to say – i have some disconnections too, every 1-4 hours.
