Hulk Roaming Montages/Build Vids
I always rage but never quit.
I agree! Well said.
Now give my warrrior some love..
Don’t recognize them, but you can check out all armor pieces in PvP locker. Just warp there, turn right and right again. When you find the piece, google it to get the pve version, and voila.
What’s your point? Or just trolling?
What sigil do you use on your hammer?
Nice footage, and like others have said, I’ve learned something.
i use sigil of impact on the hammer.
While sigil of impact is nice i think a paralyzation sigik to boost your hammer stuns another second is better.
Wait, sigil of para increases both stun, knockdown and knockback?
And by a SECOND? Isn’t it supposed to be 15%? I never even gave it a second look because of that number, but a second is huge…
Then again, won’t that get ‘fixed’?
What do you wish to do with the build? Be a frontline zerg fighter? Because for taking a lot of punishment you have invested a bit much into precision.. You’re not going to KO anybody like this, just take damage. You also lack the CC to really support your team other then being a meatshield.
Shield Mastery is pretty bad as it is now. 20% reduction is not as useful as one might think, and 90 toughness is laughable.
I guess you should take out the 5 in power (it’s too low, even with the 5 extra points) and put them in discipline to get ‘I’, Mighty defenses. That way, when you dive head first into the zerg you can get a lot of stacks quickly.
Also, Dogged March really shines when used with Melandru and Lemongrass, so I suggest replacing that with Embrace the Pain. You can fill up your adrenaline in a heartbeat when in the frontlines, and you can replace inspiring shouts for something like Heightened Focus.
Lastly, don’t use Desperate Power. By the time it kicks in you will die soon after. Replace it with Empowered or Leg Specialist.
Good luck, and more importantly, have fun!
Forget pvt, vitality is unnessecary with our huge base hp. I have 2800 armor which suits me fine. Couple cavalier trinkets, rest is all zerker.
I like Impact for multiple reasons.
I burst with hammer, and impact gives a lot of added damage. When you get accustomed to hammer you can land 3-4 hits with your initial burst while your opponent is stunned/KD (with breaker/shaker), and 2-3 more every time shaker gets off CD. Remember, the damage boost is applied with shaker damage as well, as you stun your target and then damage them.
Also, if you get a shaker in the middle of a group you get the 10% on all of them, and then you can do hammer 4 with the added damage. That is a lot of added damage.
What I don’t like about Fire on Hammer is that it procs on crit lol. Hammer hits very slowly, therefore you will see it proc less often then with other, faster hitting weapons.
Then again, it is a full extra hit. And the AoE is awesome, no doubt.
I suggest you try Impact first… Fire costs like what, 6g? Impact is 3s….
Anyways, just my two cents.
Hammer and GS. It’s the absolute most fun thing to use IMO.
In PvE just GS and Axe warhorn. But PvE is boring anyway.
What kind of dye are you using?
And I guess you can keep your helm. Looking for arah pieces..
Weird comment.. Isn’t as good with a bow as a ranger? Just remove it all at once then. Any weapon should be viable, otherwise it has no right to exist.
And why do rangers equal Warriors in the use of, for example, greatswords?
Longbow needs a buff.
Thieves are not OP… just no.
Nice video!
That is true, hoelbrak is great as well. I just play with only one stunbreaker on a long CD so I like the stun reduction as well.
Seems like this just hasn’t been thought through. I guess blind works as intended, sadly. So might should be changed.
Hi all!
I’m looking for a guild on Piken Square that’s active in WvW. My current guild is pretty much pve only, and that just bores me.. I do wish to keep representing my current guild from time to time, but i play wvw mostly. Like to do pvp also.
Online usually in the afternoon or evening, GMT+1. I prefer small scale battles, bigger challenge less lag. Just looking for some more friendlies to run with.
Thanks for reading, see you ingame!
Honestly, the best advice somebody gave me is to spec for damage. So I’m full zerker with a few cavalier trinkets. IMO, toughness is way better for a war then vitality. We already have enormous base HP, and besides surviving initial burst, vitality doesn’t add anything DURING a fight. Off course it helps versus conditions, but lemongrass and melandru give you 65% reduction on those already.
Skill determines survival for the most part.
You would do well to try to fit in bloodlust or perception somewhere.
I peronally LOVE hydromancy on GS, just makes it such a great escape tool. Helps to stay on your target as well.
Intelligence may seem great, but it’s situational. Often you will want to shield bssh to ensure a hit with evis anyway, so your benefit goes out the window.
Fire is great for added burst and some aoe.
Geomancy can be used effectively together with the minor trait for 25 points in arms.
Battle is nice if you have increased boon duration and five second weapon swap. Otherwise force or night are better IMO. That is, unless you invest in condition dmg as well.
Well, that doesn’t make it easier on you at all, now does it?
Ended up testing myself. The sigil applies the damage boost just like unsuspecting foe. Loving it!
Thanks for all answers.
Mf is not worth it when farminf cof p1. You need speed, and for that, damage. So get zerkers.
Btw, if you want some toughness, you can get exo cavalier trinkets in straits of devastation at temple of balthazar for 42k karma each. Just save up your karma jugs and use them with a karma booster, guild booster and such to get max karma from them. If you do your dailies, you can farm like one piece of jewelry every week.
I will test it at home, should not be difficult. Just do it with and without the sigil. Was just a bit eager to find out, and there is a lot of knowledge on the forum here.
Thanks for the quick answer!
I guess I’ll try out perception on my bagged weapon. If anything, bloodlust is way more expensive, so it’s a financially beneficial choice as well. I don’t think I would want a stat-stacking sigil on my main weapons, as I get downed a little too often to abuse it like you can on other classes (mainly stealthy ones who can just bail).
By the way, I did adjust your build a bit, mainly by taking the signet recharge reduction in disc and switching out FGJ for Bull’s Rush. I find it so incredibly useful for getting to fleeing enemies (rush+BR is 2100 range, pretty much catching anything trying to run). But maybe even more to get out of really dodgy situations where you have more then one pursuer. With SoR on 48 sec cooldown I get fury for 33 seconds every ~50 seconds (can’t always pop it straight away), so that’s still 2/3rd of the time. I do miss out on Sweet Revenge, so who knows, might change it up again.
Thanks again, and maybe see you online then Pikey!
That’s the thing. I find running with my warrior the most fun of all, even though I’m at best averagely skilled.
I was thinking about switching my gear to more zerker. It seems when I’m solo I can’t always hit my target enough to down them, while I can stay alive long. I would be aiming for ~2800 toughness but something like 85% crit damage and 30+ base crit chance. What are your thoughts on this and how do your stats compare?
Also, for the sigils I was thinking hydromancy on the GS (which is what I have now, and helps with kiting which is important on my server with all the RS blobs).
On the Hammer I thought about Impact, cause it can give me that extra bite when I get the shaker/breaker combo off. Do you think this would be worth it over Fire?
Perception does seem like a good sigil to get for my bagged horn or something to use when taking a camp, as my crit chance will be lower. But I’m not sure if bloodlust will do more for my damage regardless…
Wow, sorry for the wall of text..
What sigil do you use on your hammer?
Nice footage, and like others have said, I’ve learned something.
Clipping issues aside, Charr t3 combined with a few other pieces (like t2 shoulders) is the most BA look in the game. IMHO of course.
Hah good to know I’m not the only one! This should be easy to test out, but I’m not able to play right now. Just doing some theorycrafting.
Really nice footage, and skill. You actually got me to pimp my warrior into using him in WvW again.
Edit; what sigils do you use?
Hi all,
Question about this sigil. When using earthshaker, does it apply the damage boost? I was wondering about this because when using Unsuspecting Foe it does apply the 50% increase in crit chance before shaker hits.. I guess shaker stuns and then damages, so this should apply for the Sigil of Impact, right?
Against a single target, I’d think force. Against anything else, Fire. It can help with burst as well, but you don’t need that much in PvE.
This match-up has been boring… I haven’t met a single RS player that didn’t run on a 1v1.
Met an awesome GH mesmer though, holy kitten that guy was good. Granted, I played my war, but so did my friend and we couldn’t get him down. It ended bad for him when two other Pikens got in on the fight, but we still got schooled good for 15 minutes.
To the GH-mesmer on Piken Border fighting two warriors for a long time today near the southeast tower, respect!
Honestly, I don’t know why you would ever keep two warrior characters and outfit them. So no, economically speaking you would do best sticking with your (puny) human warrior. Charr is what a warrior is supposed to look like, IMO of course. So if you favor the looks as much as I do, yiu might still want to think about keeping the charr.
Charr.
15 charr.
I smell a thief…
No but seriously.. there are more cc skills with more or less instant cast time. Why target this one?
The build seems focused a lot on defense, which mesmers can do pretty well. How is yourdamage? With such low power and just average crit chance and damage…
One more question, why not use mimic?
Nice build though. And I agree, the diversity is what makes mesmer the best class !
Indomitable
To make this trait, combine “Missile Deflection” and “Shield Mastery” into a single trait. Just call that “Shield Mastery” and move that down.
Indomitable:
Each time you get a bar of adrenaline, you convert one condition into a boon.
Also want to express my support for this suggestion.
You learn every day, thanks for the info about last stand. Completely missed it.
Then, STILL, I’d put only 15 in defense and use the other 15 points for the mentioned Berserker’s power and the dodge attack, as well as mobile strikes. Take balanced stance. The advantage stance has over the trait, is that you can choose to eat a knockdown or stun if you so desire. Instead of having 8 secs of stability when you may not need it after the initial stun.
As far as mesmers go… Mobile strikes is very important against them. Whirlwind can take out the clones, especially when they run towards you (for a shatter), because you evade for 3/4 seconds. But honestly, we are at a huge disadvantage against a well played mesmer in sPvP. In WvW it gets better.
Engineers, well, you will need stability and condition cleansing against them. Try and AoE the kitten out of their turrets. If you can’t, stay ranged a bit with rifle until your CD’s are done. Like with a mesmer, or a ranger, or a necro, ignoring the adds your opponent spawns is a mistake. They often use adds because they traited them to be strong. Take them out, and you gain momentum.
Retain the offensive burst skills. Some need rework, and some don’t.
Why not add a ‘Control’ and a ‘Support’ F-skill? That way, you can choose to go offensive with your adrenaline, or defensive, or a combination of both.
For example, the current Hammer burst would be the Hammer Control Burst skill (F2). F1 would be ‘EarthQuake’, using a targeting mechanic like Earthshaker, but creating a 5 second earthquake with a 900-range radius ticking for damage every second after the inital attack hits for the same damage as shaker (totalling for something like HB damage). The F3 could be ’Pangea’s Penitence’, where the warrior smacks the ground sending out lines of awesomeness to a maximum of 5 allies (and himself), granting Stability and Aegis for 8 seconds.
Another example, Rifle burst F1 would remain the same. F2 would be ‘Temple Blow’, with a 3/4 second charge, causing a 3 second daze by hitting the enemy in the face. F3 would be ‘Ricochet’, a shot that bounces 6 times between foes and allies, but always ends at yourself, stealing health and passing it on to the first ally it hits (accumulating health if it only hits enemies to heal you for more when it returns). It also causes 4 stacks of vulnerability per hit on enemies,
Similar skills could be designed for all other weapons.
The amount of whine that would come from the Thief forum is unthinkable if Warrior got 3 more class F skills to match the rest. The Thief class would be the only one without 4 F skills. Anet would be forced to give them 3 more just to quell them.
Bullcrap, they have steal, and then a huge amount of useful moves to use after stealing them. Often these moves are very useful against the class you steal them from (exception being the elementalist/engie steal, those are just very unlikely to hit with). Besides, the whole argument of giving us or them more F skills because other classes do is just weird.
A good argument would be because warriors need something to make them more sustainable. Using F skills for that could be a step in the right direction.
But retain the offensive F skills. Some need rework, and some don’t.

As you said, you only tested it in hot joins. I’m not going to say warriors are weak. But your build is glass cannonish, with a few minor adjustments to survivability. The problem is, your still to focused on GC to be good at either.
When you play a bit higher lvl pvp, your going to need balanced stance if you want to continue being glass. Personally, last stand is a trait not worth it at all if your going glass IMO. You get stunned or knocked down before it activates, but you still get the initial stun/KD. Thats enough to kill you right there when you’re so glassy. The remaining time you have to live often won’t be enough to down your opponent. Balanced stance as a move can counter this.
The other traits in defense won’t optimize your build IMO. Defy Pain is ~ok, but conditions will still eat you alive at 25% health. Armored Attack is not really worth it when your toughness is that low. Adrenal health is good, because you will have a lot of adrenaline usually (GS burst skill sucks ass, and rifle is too slow to ever use it in PVP other then trolling people). Dogged March is awesome, but I always feel it has to be combined with -condition duration food and melandru to really shine. Food is not an option, and you want Lyssa for the condi remove (good choice IMO). Thick Skin is just aweful overall.
You see where this is going right? Towards the standard 20/20/0/0/30 GS build. It is the standard for a reason. It is impossible right now to create a warrior balanced between survivability and damage, because we can only adequately achieve damage.
That being said, having fun in hot join is possible. The 10 points you put in def right now I’d take out and put in strength to get Berserker’s Power. Not only will your damage increase, but you can remove blinds with a dodge (dodge counts as an attack, which you’ll usually miss anyway, but it will remove a blind because of it being an attack).
Even though you said you didnt wan’t to change the 0/25/20/0/15, I’d still take out another 5 points from defense and put it into discipline for mobile strikes. A vital trait on any GS build really. Replace either bull’s or bolas with balanced stance and you still have your stability, but on demand (and you can reliably stun break with it, not relying fully on frenzy to do that).
Good luck!

Valkyrie armor. HP is a good passive counter to conditions, something mesmers often struggle with.
I do wonder if they will ever bring out valkyrie ascended trinkets/gear…
Krillin’s skill level is OVER 9000 though.
Do you have the dazzling trait from domination?
Hi pvesmers!
Question about the dazzling trait. Does it work on something with defiant? I mean the daze won’t work, but does the vulnerability still apply?
Cheers
The only thing that can be remotely difficult using this (talking 1v1) is setting up. If your opponent is good with blinds/dazes or someting, and knows how to evade the first few phants from coming up, your in a bad spot. This can be avoided though.
Other then that, when it’s set up, your done.
I find it fun to use in tPvP, but do feel a bit cheap when dueling, so I try to avoid that. Nerfing it would be a shame, because this build is not breaking the meta in any way. Any good bunker can often survive long enough for, god forbid, help to arrive. 2v1 this build melts quickly. So it’s useful mostly for things described by the poster above me, and there are lots of builds that can do those things, often more effective (by moving faster for instance).
Nice build, but it doesn’t seem ‘Hybrid’, just Glass.. 16k health and base toughness is glass, no matter what way you slice it. Doesn’t mean this is at all not viable.
I do wonder how you fare against condition heavy specs? With 16k they can bleed you out pretty fast.. That’s one of the base weaknesses of the mesmer, which I always like to cover partially by having some more vit.
Other then that, fun looking build.
The amount of entitlement surrounding MMOs is insane.
I can’t be bothered to read anything that is shoved in my face at various points during log-in, but I expect to be kept informed.
I can’t complete anything in a timely manner and expect it to be kept around until I get around to doing it.
I have questions but can’t spend 5 seconds on Google to find an answer.
I am busy. I run my own business, I have a small child, a wife, a dog who cannot walk enough to ever be satisfied, a cat that demands to sit on me whenever I am not in motion for more than a second, and a dozen hobbies that are all as important to me as video games. And yet, SOMEHOW, I managed to complete Flame and Frost in the allotted time. Yes, I encountered bugs. Yes, I had to actually look up on Google how to do some parts. Yes, I had to guest on other realms to find all the things I needed. I did all this in the last week, because I started when it came out and then got too busy to play for a while. Yes, I would have loved to get a mini from the dungeon, but I don’t really like running dungeons over and over, so I didn’t do it more than once. That’s on me, nobody else. Play the game or don’t, but stop acting like you deserve special consideration that others don’t get.
TLDR; Stop whining and acting entitled.
Ventilate some more.
Or for the love of god let me turn my PVE ones into PVP ones
Or even better, let it be possible to do it both ways… I got pvp medium fused gauntlets and don’t want them at all (don’t fit my thief IMO). I do want them in PvE for my warrior though, and didn’t get to do the MF in time (tried yesterday but didn’t fly).
Who said it wasn’t our fault? But there are circumstances that might imply some courtesy on Anet’s part isn’t out of order. Come on people, don’t point the finger here, nobody is.
And congratulations on being in time, or not caring.
Not feeling too bad, no. Others are feeling worse, as I don’t care about achievements, just the skin. That might be available later on.
Thanks though.
At any rate, the whole issue still saddens me, and I hope that other people feel this way too and aren’t just haughty or contemptuous becausey the had the good fortune to get all the achievements where some of us didn’t or couldn’t.
This. People will hate.
Otherwise well said, and I agree.
Just wondering if anybody else got screwed out of their fused gauntlets… I lack the molten facility achievement, and can’t get it anymore now. Would have been in time, but the other events seemed to be bugged… badly. Took ages to complete.
I guess the gauntlets will be sold for a lot of gems? Or not at all? Either way, screwed.
It’s been there for a long time. You failed because you waited until the last minute. Take some responsibility for your own failure.
Way to go man.
SOL it is man. I was postponing the refugee helping bit until they fixed it. Couldn’t fix signs, find memento’s or w/e, and I wasn’t online during the time you could (holiday). Just today I noticed they fixed it, and I completed everything except for the MF (no time left). Now, there is no MF left…… I’d like Anet to do something about this, but hey.
